What anime or video game series do you think has the best music? My personal favorite video game music is from Chrono Trigger (best game ever!) and my favorite anime music would have to be from Bebop/Eva/Trigun. Best, -Adam

Welcome to our newest site here at theOtaku.com. The Arena. Basically, it's a mixture of sparring, a game show, and fan fiction rolled into one. Two contestants enter the arena to duel on a question. I am thinking about changing theOtaku.com's name/domain to something more anime related. This will not affect OtakuBoards.com at all. My concern is primarily that theOtaku.com might be too difficult a name to pronounce and remember. Tell me what you honestly think. -Adam

This is truly an epic day for theOtaku.com. Thanks to James, our famous forum administrator, we have an evolved logo and improved tabs on all of our pages. With the new tabs, comes two new features. Here's a description of each: Reviews: Tony will be heading up a site dedicated to pure anime reviews. This section will review both anime series, OVAs, and movies. It has a sophisticated php backend so you can sort through reviews and see which ones are most popular. reviews.theOtaku.com Greetings: We have almost 30 anime greetings already created. I like this site very much. Go through a very simple process and email your friends a custom-designed anime-themed greeting card. I'll think of a way to get a constant flow of new cards. The Internet is such a volatile environment, there's no telling what the future holds... One thing though - James, your visitor numbers are slightly off ;). I don't really keep track of that though so anyone's guess is as good as mine. -Adam

Evangelion would be a great addition to theOtaku.com. I've been trying to look into it since day one of the site's launch. However, don't get your hopes up about it. It's one of those things I'll probably never do. This is because... 1) Evangelion is too complicated an anime. The episode summaries would be too difficult to write up. Imagine summarizing the last few episodes? 2) Evangelion is too hard-core of an anime. The fan base for it is too slim. New people won't come to theOtaku.com. Instead, people might actually leave! ("You spent all this time on Eva instead of doing more with DBZ?") 3) It would take forever to make. There's too much depth there. 4) Fan base is too picky. All of Evangelion's fans would email me curses if I made even one mistake in something. I don't want to deal with that. 5) I don't want to do the section myself and I don't want to have to put any staff to be responsible for it. It's simply too much to ask and I don't have time to tackle the series myself. I'm sorry to disappoint anyone. Such is life. -Adam

I'm looking for someone who can review a particular anime DVD for theOtaku.com...As such, I need someone with excellent writing skills who is a huge fan of anime. To apply, just respond to this post with a couple paragraph review of any sort of DVD (doesn't have to be anime). (The actual review you will have for the site should be about one-page long.) In this sample, remember that DVD reviews must have consideration for things such as "presentation" "extras" "quality" and the film's actual "content."
