1.
Almost exactly so. Okay. This morning, it seems that a very very tiny centipede decided to somehow get into my jeans. That is not even an innuendo, you guys. There was an actual insect in my pants when I put them on. Guess who hit her head on the dresser in her rush to scramble away from the bug and its denim sleeping bag? Me. I am now wearing a skirt and I will burn those pants when I get home. For now, they are in the fire pit in the backyard.
Thought so. XD Oh man, I was about to buy something from a discount clothing store but one of the employees found a cockroach in one of the returned clothes. I put down the pants and never shopped there again.
  2.
So yesterday I woke up at an unfortunate hour so that I could get my community service hours via running amok in my high school's mascot costume.
I couldn't find a gif, so this will have to do. I'm picturing something like this when I read that:
  3. Calypso opened her eyes slowly. Remembering Tank and what she did to him, she sat up suddenly. "Tank!" A hand gently pushed her back on the med ward bed and motioned for her to be quiet. "It's okay, Tank is tougher than that. He'll be fine." Calypso looked at who was trying to reassure her. It was Jason. His sister was out of the med ward and spending time with Demitri, so he had come back to see the girl he had helped carry back to the base. "Oh, it's you Jason." Calypso said, trying to smile. However, she failed and tears came to her eyes as she remembered the battle with Anomander. "I'm sorry, but I was so afraid that Tank was going to die. And I had killed him." Calypso sobbed. Jason did the only thing he could think of and wrapped an arm around Calypso as she let everything out. Finally, her sobbing slowly stopped and she said four words that surprised Jason like nothing else. "Jason...I love you." OOC: Sorry for the very short post, I just want to get back into the RP and I have to run. ^^;; Also it's about time Calypso revealed her feelings.
  4.
Mario Paint was great, although it wasn't something I played with for very long. In many ways, Electroplankton on Nintendo DS reminds me a lot of Mario Paint, except that I preferred Electroplankton. For more than a decade, Nintendo was working on a project that has, at different times, been referred to as "Marionette". It evolved over the years and it kind of became a demonstration of different kinds of technology Nintendo was working on. But, in essence, it was a lot like Mario Paint in spirit - you could make music, use your face in-game (nothing new now, but it was certainly new back when the concept first materialized on Nintendo 64). In some ways it's a shame that this concept never became a reality. I can understand that Nintendo probably could never make it "work" as a stand alone game, but it's the kind of thing that might be a fun download on the eShop or Wii Shop Channel. The biggest thing I disliked about Mario Paint was just that you couldn't really save anything you created. I know that when this game was new, that was not as easy as it sounds now (given that it came out in the early 90's). But certainly, in today's world, it would be pretty easy to save and share your creations. I almost think a new Mario Paint type product would be a fun idea for Nintendo to include as a pre-installed software on the Wii 2.
Well, Mario Paint 2 would really be good for that U Draw Tablet for the Wii. Maybe that will be one of the games they release soon? I sure hope so. If they had made Marionette, that would have been amazing. Not only because it sounds like a good concept for a Mario Paint-like game, but it would always remind me of this song: (In fact, this would be my unofficial theme song for the game xD)
  5.
So I hope SOMEONE decides to talk to me...
Hey, welcome to OB! I hope you like it here. ^^
  6. Anstice took her time to walk around and check the art supplies. She had taught art many times before, but this was her first time as a teacher at this middle school. She wanted everything to be just right. Anstice looked sat down, looking over her lesson plan one last time and smiled. This would be a good first day. Looking around as she waited for the bell to ring, Anstice remembered that she had to be observant today and not get too caught up in her teaching. From what she had learned, the carrier was definitely in this school. She was beginning to doubt her info though, as she couldn't sense the carrier no matter how hard she tried. Making room for what she needed, Anstice prepared to do some spellcasting as she waited. "¤¸º¨¨" Anstice started a very simple detection spell, that should have helped her spot the carrier a little easier, since her current detection spell was running out. However, she was interrupted by the school bell signaling the end of the children's lunch break. Anstice had to cancel the spell early and get rid of any traces of spell casting. Soon, she was back in her seat behind her desk and ready to start the lesson as the kids piled into their desks. Anstice stood up from behind her desk, taking her time to write out her name and turned around and smiled. "Okay everyone, I'm Miss Anstice, your new art teacher. But usually everyone always calls me Anstey so don't even worry about the 'Miss'. I hope this will be your favorite class this year and I know everyone will have a lot of fun." She said as she smiled, while trying to keep an eye out for the carrier.
  7.
The FLCL soundtrack needs to stop getting stuck in my head during classes. My humming is making the songs get stuck in my friends' heads as well and our teachers don't like the sound of a bunch of idiots muttering the lyrics to 'Ride On Shooting Star' during their classes.

My addiction is Funny Bunny, but The Pillows are awesome all around.
That's why I love you guys. XD You're both awesome. Funny Bunny is great and it's actually one of the songs I usually hum. Hybrid Rainbows is right up there with it too.
  8. Let me know too please if anything needs to be changed. Name: Miss Anstice 'Anstey' Vadim True Name for Magic Use: Valdis Ã?thelu Maldito Age: 25 (Living since the 13th Century) Sex: Female Family: The Maldito Family Appearance: Valdis summoning a new spirit When dressed as a teacher, she looks the part of one. Constantly smiling, her blue eyes shining behind her long blonde hair. Outside of her teacher's appearance, she usually loses her smile and some of her immortality shows through, revealing to the other family members the many centuries she has lived through. In times of battle, she also wears her Maldito robes although she has a modified pair that allows for quicker movement. Personality: To her students, Anstice or 'Anstey' as she asks them to call her, is the average art teacher. She always seems to see things differently from others and has a great imagination and love of art and teaching. She's always quick to smile and to encourage her students in the arts. In her private life however, Valdis acts hardened and jaded. She's experienced many things in her long life and not much surprises her anymore. She mistrusts most people, including most of the Maldito family. She tends to use them sometimes though to gain information for her own ends. She keeps her own goals to herself and any information she finds out about the spirit. The only exception to this is Joshua. He is the only family member that she can confide in recently, despite his youth. However, there are things that she keeps secret even from him. There are times also, when her 'Anstey' personality seems to shine through. But that is either an act to get other family members to get their guard down or her remembering her time with her husband. Occupation: Art Teacher Bio: Valdis was born into the Maldito family during 13th century England. She had no interest in her family's affairs, even at the age of 16. This was when she met her lover, a knight and not a noble, but she didn't care so she accepted his proposal and they were soon wed. Wanting to be with him forever, Valdis looked into magic. She spent many years, learning what she could in secret. Soon, at 25 she learned an immortality spell that could only be used once and never reversed. She didn't care however, since this one would grant both her and her lover eternal life as well as eternal youth. Valdis later completed the ritual in secret, not telling her husband about her plans. Just as she finished the ritual, however, the castle came under attack. Her husband, who should have had eternal life, was cut down before her eyes. Taking her dagger with her, Valdis prepared to take her own life. There was no time however, so she just jumped from the tower. Her other family members leaving the castle and taking the research that she had studied with them. Days later, she awoke unharmed and with no evidence of her fall. After days of wandering and wondering what had happened, Valdis finally found another family member. The elder member explained that any immortality spell would only work on the Maldito's family bloodline and not on those who were not a part of the family. Before her elder could ask her to duplicate the spell, she took his life in her rage, gathering up what she could find about the Maldito family and running off. Valdis has spent many years hunting for any information about the spirit and any Maldito knowledge. Outside of this, she has only shown an interest in art. She has even modeled for some of the great masters over the years and now she has even seen them become turtles in a children's show. She has now had another family member forge the information that she needs and is living as Anstice Vadim, an art teacher at a local middle school. Her hunt is still ongoing for the spirit that she needs for her final spell. Abilities/Powers: Maldito magic. This varies and dips into both Eastern and Western magics since the Maldito family traveled all over the world and Valdis has added new spells over the centuries. Besides an emergency spell which she uses by an incantation, she can only cast any spell if she paints it. However once the portrait is painted she can summon the dead from her paintings and give them a form to fight for her. Depending on the spirit, she also gains one attack spell to replace her emergency spell, still being able to use an incantation to use it instead of a paintbrush. Weakness: Base metals are Valdis' primary weakness, although destroying her canvas will dispel the spell as well. Also, if she uses too much magic she must eat more before she loses her abilities completely. Because of this, she has hunted many of her own family to gather up magic energy. In times of emergencies, she must prepare a 'food' spell that will allow her to keep some magic energy. Besides this, she can be a shy person, but her newest identity as an art teacher is helping her overcome that. She almost wishes she could forget about everything and just stay as Anstice, but she has to fight against those thoughts and remind herself that obtaining the spirit would lead to an even better life. Weapons: Anstice chooses to rely on her magic as a weapon. She keeps one dagger, but only for rituals and mostly as a keepsake since it was a gift from her late husband.

I didn't mind the graphics, as I was also into The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest which had similar shoddy 3D imagery.
Thanks for reminding me about that show too! xD I forgot all about The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest. I actually looked forward to when they would go into the VR game. Actually, I remember there being a 'wall of fire' in Reboot on one episode. I wonder how many internet/computer related terms I would notice from that show now? (When I first watched it, I never went online.)

I also watched it on Toonami and just seeing the name brings back a lot of memories. I liked the series a lot more too,
when AndrAIa showed up. (I know it's an old show, but spoiler tag just in case I guess?)
I remember thinking of how dated the 3D graphics were, even when it was first airing. I should probably watch it again though, to catch some of the references I missed.

Am I not hearing it because I haven't played through Portal 2 yet? I don't know why I like Still Alive better after hearing Want You Gone. Maybe it's the discordant tune or something. Although I'm sure that part makes sense if you've played the game. Oh and has anyone played Portal 2 on co-op yet? Is it split-screen only?

Name: Caoilfhionn "Davey" Muircheartach Age: 19 Homeworld / Origin: Caoilfhionn was born on the planet of Albannaich. A country composed of mostly a humanoid population, although some of its occupants seem to be similar to 'mythological' creatures that you might hear of on other planets. At a young age, she was moved against her will from Albannaich to her new homeworld of Angles. She grew up in a small country on Angles known as Yorkshire. She lived there for many years and finally met her true love, another exile from Albannaich like herself. Although far from home, they had each other and had no need of anything else. Almost a year later however, Caoilfhionn's happiness came to an end. He was taken away by a press gang to serve on the Victory, a ship under Lord Nelson that would explore other celestial bodies. He had no choice in the matter and her opinion mattered even less. He fought and resisted, but Caoilfhionn never saw him again. When she turned sixteen, Caoilfhionn took on the name 'Davey' to hide her gender and to give away a name that was easier for the natives of Angles to pronounce. It was then that she joined the army to find her lover. No one the wiser, she took on the role of the company's drummer. Wind instruments were normally her specialty, but she picked up the drum quickly and played a beat into the hearts of all of her fellow soldiers. Things changed however, when three years later she was sent away to the country of London to be stationed there. Looking for her love, she only found the attention of a young girl. The girl soon fell in love with Davey and discovered her secret. Revealing everything to Davey's commanding officer in London, the army would have no more of her. Davey now has no other place to go but to try to make it back to Albannaich and find her birth parents. Who are rumored to be of noble origin. There are rumors that her love died with Lord Nelson but she desperately refuses that there is any truth to those. Species / Appearance: Human. Davey's skin is fair and her waist slender, her long fingers help her play the wind and the drums. When she met her love, she had long lightly colored hair, but that is gone now and has become a short stock. Her face and figure are often seen as boyish, which causes most that meet Davey to mistake her for a boy. Her blue ocean eyes also give away a strong spirit, which is usually mistaken for boyish pride. Even after the years, Davey keeps her boyish figure and is sometimes seen wearing men's clothing when she has need of it to find her love. She is mistaken for a sixteen year old boy when dressed in this way. Underneath it all, she keeps secret the half-ring she shares with her love. No matter what clothes she is wearing, Davey is usually seen wearing her cap and feather from her days in the army. Special Skills / Abilities: Davey is a master of the Wind. She can easily play fife, pipe or trumpet or any of their cousins. Thanks to her army days, she is also a master of the drums. Her ease with the Wind usually quiets and doubts of her not being a boy, since her skill doesn't seem to suffer from her true gender. Because of her small figure, Davey is a master at getting to places that larger figures have trouble entering. She is also quite friendly with locks as well and hasn't met many that are so rude as to shut her out. Her long search for her love has also helped her hand at disguise and at moving quickly and quietly. She is comfortable on the tides or on the earth. She chooses not to fight directly, unless she has to and puts her agility to the test if her tongue doesn't save her. However, when it comes to it, Davey is skilled with a blade or a musket from her times in the army. She was also always kept out of danger, so much that her love swore that protection followed her from Albannaich but she always denied it. Theme Song(s): I am a youthful lady My troubles they are great, My tongue is scarcely able My grievance to relate; Since I have lost my true love, That was ever dear to me, He's gone to plough the ocean, On board the Victory. And many a pleasant evening, My love and I did meet, He clasped me round my slender waist, And gave me kisses sweet; I gave to him my hand and heart, And he vowed he'd marry me, But I did not know that my love, Would join the Victory. Chorus: Mourn, England, mourn and complain; For the brave Lord Nelson's men, That died upon the main. My parents could not endure my love, Because he was so poor, Therefore he never did presume, To come within the door; But had he been some noble lord, Born a man of high degree, They'd ne'er have sent the lad I love, On board the Victory. There was thirteen on the press-gang, They did my love surround, And four of that accursed gang, Went bleeding to the ground; My love was overpowered, Though he fought most manfully, They dragged him through the dark, wet streets, Towards the Victory. Chorus: Your ship she lay in harbour, Just ready to set sail, May Heaven be your guardian, love, Till you come home from sea, Just like an angel weeping, On the rock sighs every day, Awaiting for my own true love, Returning home from sea; It's not for gold that glitters, Nor silver that will shine, If I marry to the man I love, I'll be happy in my mind. Chorus: Here's success unto the Victory, And crew of noble fame, And glory to the captain, Bold Nelson was his name; At the Battle of Trafalgar, The Victory cleared the way, But my love was slain with Nelson, Upon that very day. I was brought up in Yorkshire and when I was six - teen Oh I ran away to london and a soldier I became. With my fine cap and feather likewise me rattling drum They learned me to play upon the rub-a-dub-a-dum. With my fine cap and feather likewise me rattling drum They learned me to play upon the rub-a-dub-a-dum. With me gentle waist so slender and me fingers long and small I can play upon the rub-a-dub the best of them all. And so many were the pranks that I saw among the French And so boldly did I fight me boys although I'm but a wench. And in buttoning up me trousers so often have I smiled To think I lay with a thousand men and a maiden all the while. With my fine cap and feather likewise me rattling drum They learned me to play upon the rub-a-dub-a-dum. With me gentle waist so slender and me fingers long and small I can play upon the rub-a-dub the best of them all. But they never found my secret out untill this very hour When they sent me off to london to keep sentry at the tower. And a young girl fell in love with me and she found that I was a maid She went up to my officer and my secret she betrayed. With my fine cap and feather likewise me rattling drum They learned me to play upon the rub-a-dub-a-dum. With me gentle waist so slender and me fingers long and small I can play upon the rub-a-dub the best of them all. He unbuttoned my red tunic and he found that it was true It's a shame he says to lose a pretty drummer boy like you. So now i must return to me mum and dad at home And along with me bold comrades no longer can I roam. With my fine cap and feather likewise me rattling drum They learned me to play upon the rub-a-dub-a-dum. With me gentle waist so slender and me fingers long and small I can play upon the rub-a-dub the best of them all.
  13. So is Portal 2 a longer game than the first one so far? It sounds like it's longer. (I didn't really care about the length the first time around, but more Portal is always good.) Right now I'm waiting for Sony's Welcome Back program to kick in so I can try out Modnation Racers on the PSP. Until then, I'm going to actually try to get somewhere on Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. Especially with Disgaea 4 coming out soon.
  14. Wow, you somehow managed to combine Portal with Ponies. xD

I'm going to feel even worse for the people who keel over dead because they believe in it that strongly.
Now I'm curious. I'll have to watch Willow next. I'm assuming it's a fantasy movie by the Lord of the Rings comment? I'm sure a lot of people are listening to R.E.M.'s It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).
  18.
I am not the best with Logos either, but I can offer some constructive criticism or help if you would like Lilt.
Yes please, CaNz. That would be great. ^^ The original logo is on page 2. All you need to know is Erde is German for Earth and the information on the group is a few posts up on this page. Also, a plain logo might be nice. (No name or anything.) Blue is the color for Erde though, if you want to make it all blue like Nerv's logo is all red. Add whatever you feel like, I've just learned that it helps if logos are simple. It's more eye catching if it's not too busy.
  19. Calypso walked along the hallway, wearing black as usual. This was not a fashion statement however. Even though it had been weeks since Ali's execution and funeral, Calypso was in mourning for her lost friend and teammate. She would be in mourning for her as long as she lived. For she was more than a teammate or a friend or a leader, she was the older sister that Calypso always wanted but never had. She was a part of her family. Calypso tried to force back some tears but wasn't successful. She was upset at herself for thinking about going out with Jason, Ali's brother. She had almost asked him earlier if he wanted to sit down with her in the cafeteria or something but she restrained herself. She knew he probably needed some help getting through this time and she knew she needed help as well, but a part of her felt terrible about trying to find happiness. It felt like she was celebrating Ali's death and she hated that. The only other thing that was stopping her was Jason's werewolf curse. She just wasn't too sure about his beastly form, but that was only because she wasn't used to it. She had become used to Jeff's constant silence so she wondered if she could get to that too. She wanted to sit and talk to Jason about his curse...No, not his curse, his power, but she couldn't find the time and she was afraid of what he would say to her. Calypso sighed as she headed into her quarters. She knew she shouldn't worry and just go talk to Jason, but even after Marcus' great advice she had her doubts. She almost opened a rift to go see her sister, but she was stopped short by a shaking in the building. She quickly left her quarters again to see Jason running in his wolf form. He stopped but not for long. She got the hint though and followed him as they went to go find the other members of Team Alpha. OOC: Sorry about the shortness, just trying to get back into the RP. ^^ Pocket will probably say something to Jason once Ali is back and she's safe.

  22. Okay, here's the possible finished logo for Erde. Does anyone have any suggestions on anything to add or remove from it? I think I'm just being too picky, since I'm the one making it but I'm not good with logos. Should I remove their name at least and leave it blank like Aleph's logo? Their motto will be "Reaching for the stars, finding a new home." As for the organization itself, I'm thinking it could be something like this:
Sachio Murakami was the president of JAXA for many long years. Early on in his presidency however, corruption had taken over and filled his pockets and his heart. His presidency came to an abrupt end when a rocket launch malfunctioned, killing and injuring many JAXA personnel. Murakami resigned but due to health problems. However, this was a forced resignation. A director of JAXA was blackmailing Murakami for embezzlement, misuse of funds, along with other charges. He threatened to reveal his evidence if Murakami didn't step down, effectively making the blackmailer the new president. Murakami thought of taking his life, but instead he decided to start a new life for himself. Away from his blackmailer and away from Earth. He gathered many of his old contacts during his presidency, gathering many investors along the way. He revealed his plan to them of making a new Eden on Mars and put forth a proposal to buy out JAXA for the resources to make the trip. Murakami soon became permanent president of JAXA once again but changed it's name to Erde. Now, the second part of Erde's plan is in motion. Obtaining the Angels and Adam and Lilith to make the new Garden of Eden on Mars.
Wat do you guys think? It will be an organization that focuses more on buy outs when they can, but they will need to show force somehow to attempt at getting their ultimate goal. If anyone has any better suggestions, let me know please. I just don't want this organization to be too similar to Nerv or Aleph.

  24. Thanks James, I read it before but I guess I missed that part. Sorry, I'll go re-read it now. And you're welcome James. I'm glad you and everyone else liked them too. ^^ Thanks for the help everyone. EDIT: I went back and re-read the front page and it looks like you updated it quite a bit? I must have missed that. ^^;;; It looks really good. I think I'm going to go with a commercial organization for Erde. What does everyone else think? (They'll mostly buy out competitors if they can, to get what they need. They might take things by force too, if money doesn't work. But most of their dealings will be underhanded or involving large sums of money.)
  25. Okay, I guess it would have helped if I had watched the series. xD That way I would have known about Aleph and the special school. I'll retool my character then. And thanks for letting me know about Aleph. I'm glad you like the logo though. ^^ I'll finish the logo this week hopefully and post up the finished one along with Erde's plan and what they stand for. I can't wait to see the alternative idea. Thanks for your help by the way James. Again, this is going to be a fun RP. ^^
