[B]In England we have ELSPA ratings, which are a guideline to parents. Sometimes shops try to stop kids from buying games that have ELSPA ratings of 17+, but ELSPA ratings are a guideline, unless the BBFC rates a game 12,15 or 18 it's illegal for the shop to not sell the game to you. I agree that games like GTAIII should be more restricted in the idea that their age limits should be heightened. (if there is a higher rating than 18 in the UK...) However, I completely disagree with the issue of violence in children being associated in games. I don't know which incident of school shootings it was, but the games industry was directly blamed for it, as the child who committed the shootings had an N64 with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. I find this ridiculous, those games have come out in the UK, along with many other violent games, yet we don't have 12 year olds bursting into schools with guns. I think some people see video games as an easy place to blame for violence. Many games have been prevented from release in the UK, but the government is a bit more lenient over here.[/B]

[B]If you have it, try using hp/mp swap and then knights of the round. This way you can pelt Sephiroth with a very damaging attack without losing all your mp. Make sure someone else has already cast regen and make sure someone has a top level cure materia coupled with the All materia.[/B]

[B]I'm also looking forward to aggressive inline, it looks fresh and incorperates gameplay elements THPS can't provide. As for THPS4, I like the new gameplay system. You start as a rookie, and you skate around each level looking for people to give you challenges, e.g grind along a table they choose. The level doesn't have a time limit, only when someone gives you a challenge does the time limit start. As you complete challenges/tasks, you get a bigger reputation and your skills improve, until you become a pro.[/B]

[i]Drinking what water he has left, Xian begins to walk again when he hears a sound coming from some nearby bushes. Unsheathing his sword, he slowly moves towards the shrubs, thinking that he may be able to kill an animal and finally get some food.[/i] [b]Silencer #1:[/B](whispering) He's coming! We better move quickly while he doesn't know we're here sir. [b]Silencer squad leader:[/B] Roger that, get the other 4 and move in on his position, hurry! His sword slowly begins to glow a light blue, seeming to shrink until it reaches his forehead, where it dissappears, leaving only a scar in the shape of a sword. The Silencers launch themselves at Xian, only to see huge sparks of electricity surrounding his body, slowly getting larger. Letting out a sharp cry, Xian engulfs the 5 Silencer soldiers in electricity, burning them to a crisp. Xian stands up, recovering from the loss of magic energy to see a gun pointed at him. The Silencer squad leader stares at Xian in disbelief before feeling a sharp pain in his chest. Out of nowhere, he appears to be on fire.... As he falls, he pulls the trigger on his 9mm, hitting Xian in the shoulder....[/i] [B]Silencer squad leader:[/B] You die with me, you little magic using punk.... [B]Xian:[/B] Damn.... I can't feel my hands, ugh, too much blood, I can't heal it in time...... [B]I think people take a look at a Nintendo game such as Super Mario 64 and dismiss it as a "little kids" game, or they just play it for 5 minutes. I'm a hardcore gamer, (as I'm sure many of you are) I write reviews and I like to keep an open mind. When the N64 came out it blew my mind. Not only with graphics, but the gameplay and gripping fun that some of its launch titles had. Of all the consoles I own, (I own quite a few) my N64 games collection is by far the biggest, they are all games that I found to be the games that would turn into classics, such as SM64 and Super Smash Brothers. I am not being Nintendo biased, but just saying that some people shouldn't blow Nintendo's games/hardware off so fast. On the subject of hardware, these machines are designed to be [i]games consoles.[/i] Where's the game in playing a DVD? I love the fact that Nintendo have left out a DVD player in the GC, as I (and millions of others) have bought it for the games. On another note, DK64 was way too busy with collecting things, I still haven't finished it. *cries*[/B]

[B]I think cel-shading Zelda was a great move for Nintendo, it gives the game a fresh feel and it still looks great. Judging by past Zelda games, the gameplay formula is great and it works well.[/B]

The Story - It is the near future in a world where magic use is abundant, magic users and non magic users have lived side by side for years. Yet the non-magic users are treated badly by the magic users. Eventually they decide to fight back, setting up a group called the Silencers. The Earth is in a war, Kagims versus Silencers. The Silencers are losing, until they decide to strike back by setting up an elite team (you can choose to be a member of this elite team) with brilliant physical attributes and skills with weapons. The team are called Project Silence. In this RPG you can choose to be either side. Silencers mainly use guns/swords. They are very agile and physically fit and can go beyond normal human limits. Some Silencers are out for their own goals, not for the good of their people. Kigams are not very fit and rely more on their magic than weapons. However, some Kagims do use swords. They can use spells or magic to enhance their physical abilities, but most of them find this useless. Higher level Kagims can use stronger abilities. Weapon: A sword that he used to learn how to use when his father was still alive. He infuses magic into the sword, giving him extra power. Nintendo didn't actually need to bring out the SNES, the NES was competing against the Mega Drive until, like all consoles, the games began to grow more graphically impressive and so forth. Nintendo made the SNES and brought it out, starting the huge console war that Sega pretty much lost... What I love about the Gamecube and Nintendo's policy is that they don't really mind if their console can't push hundreds of millions of polygons, as long as the games are good and fun to play. [/B]

I was at an art centre called the Barbican in London where an exhibition called Game On was showing, it had the history, current status and future of global gaming. There have been many gems released in the past, but the exhibition did show something else. Even though there are plenty of games being released, they are not neccessarily a torrent of good games. But if you look at Mr Itawa's standpoint, he's just moved into an ever-growing games market that's getting harder to please, with more and more games coming out that are focused on a huge variety of subjects. (for example, westlife fanomania, a quiz game about a pop group. It's terrible, but a good example)[/B]

[B]HP-MP switch isn't the most useless materia! If you have the knights of the round materia, use hp-mp switch and voila! You have 8500mp (if thats your hp) and 500 or so hp, just make sure to pack lots of phoenix downs...[/B]

[B]The Dreamcast was a display of pure gaming genius, it had a lovely balance of games, with reasonable graphics to boot, yet it sold poorly even when the PS2 wasn't around. Why? Because people didn't like the new games that the DC was introducing, e.g Phantasy Star Online. Now, a few sequels and a console switch later, PSO is very popular.[/B]

What I mean by that is as all the Z warriors get stronger, lower levels appear to be easier to reach (look at Trunks and Goten, they brought themselves up to a high level at that age) so Pan has far exceeded the level Gokou was at when he ran snake way, so Goku was at for example a power level of 10,000 (example) but Pan's power level may be in the millions, because the standard is set so high.[/B]
