I like watching the Japanese subs, but I will watch the FUNi/Canadian versions just to see the basic action and continuing storyline. I won't go out and buy the DVDs or anything like that, as I feel that watching fan subs isn't necessarily essential.

If I was to talk about a music genre I didn't like, it would be Garage, which is just getting a tad bit on the non-musical side over here. I don't hate any kind of music, I just don't bother listening to the music I don't like, simple as that, lol.

I used to play the recorder, but if you count singing as an instrument, I sing quite a bit :D. I'm trying to learn how to play the piano, although it's quite hard at times.

It wasn't that huge, chimneys fell down (no one killed as far as I know), but it was just big news for England, lol.

England: Weird weather, it's actually been quite warm over the past few weeks, for once.. Tony Blair just published his much criticised dossier on why England and America (along with other EU countries) should do something about "the terrible situation in Iraq". This is about the biggest two sided debate England's leaders have had in a while..

The shockwaves could be felt all over the UK, totally unexpected quake I must say, I mean how often does it happen in England?! At the time I had a helicopter flying over my house (rather nice of them, especially at that time of the morning) so I wasn't able to feel any vibrations or hear anything going on, although people who live near me felt it.

I actually watched an rather interesting show on BBC1 (UK) last night, called Panorama. The show was about Iraq, (for this week anyway) and covered both sides of the argument excellently. It showed how some American spies have claimed to discovored secret nuclear test beds or underground facilities where nuclear and biological weapons are stored. Did anyone else see it?

OOC: Sorry for a lack of any posts, my ideas melted when I last tried to think of a post. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Knuckles stopped for a moment, Sonic was beginning to move quite a bit.. Sonic: Kn..Knuckles? What the? Knuckles:Woah, awake already? Sonic: Yeah... I was standing in front of some pokemon, a green one, then I ran into a town somewhere, and now I'm here? Uh.... I'm feeling woozy.. Knuckles: That would be from all the bleeding you've been doing out of that arm, what did the pokemon do to you? Sonic: Some pokemon attack, I dunno... It hurt though. I remember some powder coming from that spout on it's back.. Sonic wheezed and remembered he was being held by Knuckles. As quickly as he could, Sonic shifted out of Knuckles' arms and stood up, brushing his torso with his hands. Knuckles: That would probably have been sleep powder that put you out, I doubt it's any kind of poison, although I'm no pokemon expert.. Sonic: I suppose.. Weren't you with a bunch of weird lookin' dudes back there? Knuckles: Yes, yes I was, although only one of them has decided to venture out with me, that would be him running towards us. Knuckles pointed at a figure and the pair laughed, knowing that their superior speed was no match for Auron, who slowly began to get closer and closer to Sonic and Knuckles. Panting, he began to speak, Auron: I.. See... your... friend.. is awake... I say we go -

Started playing the original GTA on the playstation when it first came out, and I bought London for the PC. After that I bought GTA:2 and almost cried when I heard about a 3D GTA going to the PS2..

I thought Devil May Cry was quite good, although I must admit it was rather short. It was more like playing the "cool" part in an action movie repetitively, level after level. The bosses were very cool though, except for the final boss. I think Capcom fell asleep on that one..

Just been informed CNX is a digital channel, which really sucks as I have analogue.. *wipes tears* I'm guessing that CN will show the episodes on Saturdays and Sundays along with the other animes that CN shows normally, so I (along with others) will have to wait...

The world has entered a new stage of awareness in my opinion, considering what Terrorists have displayed they can do to shock the world and how far certain countries are prepared to go for "peace and freedom". 1. With the way things are going politically, do you believe we might end up going to war? The Western World could, especially America and Britain, but I don't think it will go that far (yet) due to a lack of European and Russian support for the whole Iraq situation (amongst others). 2. Do you feel that a 3rd world war is inevitable? I feel that a we can avoid war, that it is quite possible to solve things peacefully, but some countries and leaders make think otherwise.. 3. If it is, would you gladly volunteer to fight for your country? Why or why not? Although I live in England, my English passport (which I had to grab quickly so I could go to America a few years ago) has just run out, and I will be getting an Irish passport soon. I don't think I would volunteer as I doubt Ireland would go to war with anyone, they would probably stay neutral.

I, like Son Goten, don't mind txt speak being used in online games, as most of the time you don't have the time to type the full sentence out. But online, or just chatting to friends, it drives me up the wall. There is no hurry to type something or to use grammar when chatting to someone online. Also, l337 makes me want to tear my hair out and eat it, just there seems to be a whole society behind the whole code now, especially in online gaming. People who constantly write like "j00 sux0rz d00d", normally end up speaking like that too. Thats one of the main reasons I like OtakuBoards so much, almost all of the people here can actually write a full sentence.

I've seen a few screens and they look very nice indeed, especially the backgrounds, which are very lush and actually do more than one thing at a time. The only fighting game I've played on the GC is Smash so I hope I can get to grips with this in terms of control.. The EO stands for Easy Operation, by the way.

An first person fighter? I played a Samurai 'FPF' in the arcade, where you controlled the sword your character was holding with the joystick. It was quite fun but got incredibly boring very fast, with very repetitive movement being the end product of your vicious joystick shaking.. :drunk:

I can understand your viewpoint Wrist Cutter but some people actually like that kind of music. I hate Slipknot as much as some other people but it's there choice in music and it's their opinion. I listen to Blink 182, Box Car Racer and other bands that you could count as "punk", but I also listen to music such as hip hop, heavy metal and even classical. It does not mean I stroll around with a Slipknot shirt and a mask on my face, just I listen to the music. You're not supposed to swear are you? Or should a mod take care of that as well?

Voyager was the first Star Trek series I really watched all the way through, then DS9. I think Enterprise was good at the beginning, with no long incomprehensible techno excuse for something, just basic "instict" and wit. The show's creators did promise not to follow in the traditional Star Trek style by not having pointless episodes where the crew just meet a new race and never encounter them ever again, with a few morals thrown in the bandwagon, but it's already happened in the first series... I like the time-travelling guy they keep coming back to though, with all his genetically enhanced soldiers :drunk:
The postal service here spent millions (maybe billions) on changing their name to Consignia, only to decide a few weeks later to change it back to Royal Mail.
Actually, Consignia is their business name, Royal Mail is kept due to it's familiarity with people. Staying on topic, I still hope that Rare stun the gaming world with another excellent game, but as James said, they had yet to produce and release and games for the GC.

I liked Tree of Might, but it really didn't interest me as much as the other movies did... I stick by Movie 9 as my favourite..

Hitler wasn't completely ignored by the British and French, as the French refortified the Maginot line and the BEF was readied, just Chamberlain (prime minister of Britain at the time) was using appeasement to try and calm Hitler down... Staying on topic, I see how Saddam Hussein can be a major threat, and I can understand America being a little anxious about Kofi Annan letting UN weapons inspectors in all of a sudden but America should take the opportunity and act on it. Of course there is time to go into more "delicate" matters, but for now America and Britain are doing more harm than good.

You do not abuse life, life abuses you -- me I love the quote that is in my sig, I can picture a soldier in heaven after serving in the "hell" of the battlefields in World War II.

I still play Super Mario All Stars from time to time, although SMB 2 is my least favourite Mario game I still find myself playing it, but the game I play the most is SMB 3, I love it. (Except Super Mario World, which I love more.... *cuddles*)

Sonic polished off his eighth chili-dog, which the Toadstools had made a restaurant cook for their new blue friend. Sonic: I think it's about time I head out, any more dogs and I won't be able to move.. Toadstool watier: If you must leave you can, but first you must pay. Sonic had not thought about payment, due to a lack of any pockets to keep money in. He looked at the Toadstool group, who shrugged their shoulders, signalling that they could not pay. Sonic: Uh.... How much? Toadstool waiter: That will be 3 coins. Sonic: Ah yes, gold.. Um.. I want a glass of water before I leave actually, could you fetch me one? The Toadstool waiter nodded and made his way back towards the kitchen, where he began to fill up a glass. Only a few seconds to do this.. Sonic stood up and zipped out of the restaurant, only to return seconds later with 4 coins in his hands, and sweat beads running down his blue face. The Toadstool group sat opposite him, stunned. The waiter returned with Sonic's tap water, which he gulped down as fast as he could. Sonic: Here... take this, 4 coins.... Gotta... go... Toadstool waiter: Thankyou sir, would y--- Before he could finish, Sonic was gone. Could of sworn I ran in the right direction last time, what am I doing wrong? I must be losing my sense of direction.. Sonic slowed as he reached a forest. What the?! I don't remember seeing any forests on the map near the edge of the Mushroom Kingdom, where the hell am I this time?! Running through a forest was a nightmare for Sonic. Although he had incredible reflexes, there were some things he couldn't account for, like a wandering pokemon. Sonic: wooooaaah! Sonic hit the ground hard, causing dirt to fly everywhere. Sonic: Ow, my head... Hey! You! Watch where you're going, will ya?! A Bulbasaur stared at Sonic angrily, in his mind, Sonic was the one in the wrong. He let out a sharp cry, before sending leaves soaring towards Sonic. Not convinced that leaves could do any damage, Sonic got a nasty shock when one of them cut him deep in the arm. Sonic: OW! That's it, I'm outta here! And with that, Sonic jumped up and sped off, leaving the Bulbasaur to it's own devices. Ripping through the shrubs at the end of the forest, he spotted a few houses and stopped to have a look around and get a bandage for the wound on his arm. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice.. We're never gonna get anything done like this! Sonic walked towards the voice, and began to feel woozy.. The Bulbasaur had used something other than the razor leaves. Sonic reached Knuckles, just as he fell into a deep sleep...

Over the past few months I have seen a number of things happen, including things such as strikes against Afghanistan and threats to Iraq over weapons of mass destruction. War rears it's ugly head with America and Britain still defying Iraq, even after a letter stating that UN inspectors are going to be allowed back into the country. Sure, Iraq can be a threat, but America and Britain are making themselves a target by bombing Iraq, they are virtually asking for trouble. On a smaller scale there is the constant threat of crime, especially street crime. This is growing in the UK (regardless of statistics), with 3 children seriously injured or killed by children under 16 in the past month. I feel that it's gone too far, especially in the UK. People are afraid to even set foot in certain areas in London, for fear they may be mugged, injured or even killed. In my head it doesn't compute that someone should steal someone elses belongings, that they might have worked hard for, or have sentimental value to them, it is their property and theirs alone, why should someone else have the right to take it? Is crime as bad in America and in other places? What are your views on the whole Iraq situation?

What I really hope for is an improvement in Police AI. I know it was improved for GTA:III but it just didn't feel like they were out to get you at all, just consistently ramming your car until it either fell off into a river or caught on fire, consequently getting out of the car and shooting you dead (if you were on a wanted rating of 2 stars or higher). Plus, the helicopter might bring about new problems, police might do a GTA:III and ram you with another helicopter, which would make little sense at all... Other than that I've seen some screens and the fact that you can now enter a lot of buildings seems excellent, coupled with the extra weapons and new cars it seems Vice may be a worthwhile purchase..
