I think it has it's own forum because the Final Fantasy series is it's own massive franchise, that has spawned 11 games so far. But, this is only my opinion :D

Religiously tearing tape from Desbreko's mouth?

Whenever I get in a "jam" in my life I think of "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction", if bad times are getting worse, just think that in the future it'll all be breezy and hope for the best :D Good to hear about your promotion Kevin, hope your move goes well :)

I live near Abbey Road Studios, where the Beatles did a lot of recordings. You can see that there is still an enormous fanbase following the Beatles due to the graffiti written on the walls outside Abbey Road Studios, which they have to paint over and spray every 2 weeks. Personally, I only liked a few of the Beatles songs, but I could never sit down and listen to a whole album.

The resolution has been doubled for DMC2, so the graphics and fine details are going to be improved to a great scale. Gameplay has been changed too, Dante can shoot in 2 different directions at once with the dual pistols, and a new playable character who uses 2 swords has been introduced. Very exciting indeed :D

1.where are you from? Well, I currently live in London, England (pretty easy to find, eh?) but my entire family are Irish :D 2. Tell us something we should know about it Crime is on the increase in some areas and in others it's virtually non existent. Our government seems to be in disarray at the current moment in time. 3. no "it's boring" or "never comes here" London's not boring, most of the time! There's plenty to do and see, and there are tons of parks throughout the whole city to relax in, away from the hectic, smoggy city. 4. discuss about it! I live in a pretty nice area of London, with access to over 4 parks in my area, with plenty to do. It's also a pretty rich area (I'm not rich, I promise you that), so some people can be pretty nasty sometimes. London has a massive Underground train network, so it's very easy to get around.

I agree with Valen. Since the spell check wouldn't be automatically used on every post a person made, I doubt a lot of people would really bother to use it except for the RPG and Spar forums. I think a problem with the spell check in RPG forums is that it may pick up any "exotic" names a person is using and ask if they want them corrected.

Ah yes, I remember when I first played it. Only problem was that I was 4 or 5 years old, so it drove me mad, lol.

This is a beginning I wrote in this "new topic" box, purely off the top of my head, using the title I wrote above. Please tell me what you think The world looked red, dusty and desolate to Corin. Cities no longer stood proud in the failing light. Sunsets were no longer a beauty to behold, as the ball of fire had become shrouded by floating dust. This was the outcome of war. One country accused another, one built weapons, the other built bigger weapons. This went on for years, until the delicate thread that bound peace together snapped, causing the biggest war in recorded history. Entire continents were ravaged by the terrible fighting that took place. Corin took a deep breath and got down on his hands and knees. Slowly, he tied his bag to his back and began to climb down the hill. Upon reaching the bottom, he pulled out his canteen and sipped on the cool, refreshing water it contained. If I carry on like this I should reach London, or what's left of it he thought to himself. Hours seemed like days as Corin pushed through the almost desert land. Massive bombs had destroyed almost all traces of forestation and plants on the entire face of the Earth. Corin found a burnt-out log to sit on, and proceeded to make an entry in his diary. July 12th, 2009 Day 5 of my trip. I've moved through what used to be the forest to the East of London, and as yet I have discovered no trace of any life whatsoever, except for a few birds, which seem to be dying. I shall make an entry if I find anything. Strapping his bag back up, Corin continued towards the great city of London, a metropolis before it was supposedly destroyed. People had assumed London was gone after the government discontinued communications on the 3rd day of war. Corin found the assumption to sadly be correct. The entire city had been wrecked, with most of the taller buildings completely destroyed. Corin ruled out using cars to get around the city, since most of the roads had debris and pot holes littering them. He spotted an underground station, which he decided to investigate. The further down Corin went, the less damaged the station seemed to be. He walked through puddles that leaks in the ceiling had created, moving slowly towards the train platform. He was worried that if he made too many sudden moves or vibrations, the surrounding area may collapse, as he couldn't see any damage within the walls. As Corin stepped onto the platform he smiled. A train remained on the platform, and it seemed to be intact. Stepping into the driver's carriage, Corin studied the different knobs, dials and switches that were on the board in front of him. Spotting a lever that appeared to control speed, Corin pushed it slightly. Roaring into life, the train began to chug slowly forward, it's electric motors full of dust. Suddenly, Corin heard a loud click behind him. "Don't move!"

Writing Guess what this is about (BEFORE you reach the end!)... ;)
Red replied to Mnemolth's topic in Creative Works
Wow, I really like that poem Mnemolth, an excellent choice of words and phrasing. -
Resident Evil 0 is looking gorgeous to say the least, and since my fears of it being based entirely around the train section (which is only 15% of the story), I think it's going to be brilliant :D

I don't understand all this talk about nukes all the time. What country has over 3,000 active nuclear warheads? America! Ok, North Korea went against an agreement to not build nuclear weapons, but in this dane age it seems the policy is that if you are a country then you need a nuclear weapons program. It took America a long to buckle over reducing it's nuclear arsenal, which can still blow up almost every major city on the face of the planet. I personally think that America are becoming downright silly with their "axis of evil" talk and "war against terrorism". Do America expect to go to war with the entire world? How can they fight "wars against terrorism" in Indonesia, Iraq, Afghanistan and North Korea if they ever do go to "war"? America may have a huge military but that is stretching it's resources way too far. "Down with Communism" Gokents? The idea of communism is an excellent one, but it can't be implemented properly. Look at Bolshevik Russia if you want to see communism trying to be used on a grand scale. There are many types of communism, as Stalin demonstrated in the late 1930s, you can let things go here and there but in other sections communism could be implemented fully. I know I may be ranting on and my argument may be poor, but my views remain strong about nuclear weapons and America. Most of us on these boards are the future generation, the future leaders and workers of this world. Do we really want to go into a world desolated by war?

I have ever so many people to thank, so I'll just post a few up I suppose :p Sephiroth: For being real nice to me when I first met him on OB, and he 'showed me the ropes', so to speak. Nerdsy: Another guy who was ever-so-nice on v2 when I first appeared. James: For keeping these boards up and running, and making the right decisions. That and his help with Mario :p (*bows*, lol). Semjaza Azazel: Providing excellent conversation in the gaming forums :D Crazy White Boy: Again, excellent conversation in the gaming forums, and starting Project Gamer up.

The English branch of Toonami got a Canadian company called AB (or something along those lines) to do voiceovers again. It must have been cheaper...
-
CNX isn't available for me, much to my dismay :( I would like for the DBZ series to revert to some of the FUNi voices for a few characters, as most of the Canadian voice overs are terrible.

Vegeta: I think I'll wear pink more often, it really shows off my eyes.. ------------------------------------------ Narrator: I think I won't take two minutes to tell you everything that happened in the last episode. ------------------------------------------ Goku: I think I'm gonna stay in Other World, Krillen, you're the strongest now, so you must take care of the Earth. ------------------------------------------ Announcer: "And it's official! Chiaotzu has single-handedly taken out Goku, Vegeta and Trunks!"

I've heard of a really cool connection on a new Kirby game thats coming out on both GBA and GC. When Kirby falls off the bottom of the screen on the GC and your GBA is linked, Kirby will appear on the GBA screen and you have to guide him back up so he can go 'back into' the GC. I think that's pretty darn cool..

I started with Pikachu on SSB because I was really, really into Pokemon at the time, and I just become quite good with him. My friend uses Fox all the time, and for me it's incredibly hard to hit him, let alone beat him. After playing with Pikachu, I could never get used to the slower characters in SSB like Link and I couldn't even use the insanely slow characters like DK. I wish I could play now like I did when I first got SSB, as I never used the shield as I didn't know what button it was..

I just passed most of Sirena Beach (thanks for the name for it Desbreko :D), although I can't get all the red coins, lol. What is annoying me occassionaly about SMS is the camera angles. Although the camera is pretty much under the control of the C-stick it has caused me many a death just by it shunting to a point where I can't see Mario fast enough to react to something. A prime example is the giant pinball mini-level, where the camera just goes all over the place at times.

I like Blade II quite a bit, although I must agree the CGI enhanced scenes of Wesley Snipes were done poorly and appeared to be rushed. Action seemed to be the focus for this one, instead of an 'in depth' storyline like the first. I love the part with the modified flashbangs, hilarious.

OOC: I apologise for not being able to post until now, since I have had a terribly painful spine and I haven't been able to get on my PC. Sonic and Knuckles awoke to shuffling beneath them.. Awaking, Sonic jumped as he saw a pitchfork go straight through the bale of hay next to him. He grabbed Knuckles, and began to shake him. Sonic (whispering): Dude! Dude! Wake up! Someone is here, we need to get the heck outta here, now! Knuckles awoke to see the rusted pitchfork pierce another bale of hay, much to his dismay. Knuckles: Crap... looks like we're gonna have to make a sharp exit and head straight for the castle.. let's just hope the drawbridge is open.. Sonic: Of course it'll be open! Knuckles: Was it open last night when made a run for it? Sonic huffed, knowing that Knuckles always took everything to heart and always came out with a smart answer, as he never understood the meaning of "keeping your hopes up" he just came out with the logical, correct answer, even if it was "we're going to die". Sonic: State the obvious why dont ya?! Lets just go bef -- Sonic was cut out by a voice of a lon-lon ranch worker, who was complaining about the lack of milk to a friend. Sonic and Knuckles knew it was time to leave. Sonic (whispering): Dude, I'm gonna break the wall down, then we make a run for it, ok? Knuckles: Go f-- Before he could finish, there was a circular hole in the wall, which Sonic had created for Knuckles to follow through. Doing so caused a lon-lon worker, who was already outside the walls of the ranch to spot the red blur heading for the castle. Catching up with Sonic at the drawbridge, Knuckles began to shout. Knuckles: YOU COULD OF TOLD ME YOU WERE ABOUT TO DO IT! Sonic: I did! Knuckles: You know I'm not as fast as you, dammit! Always showing off like a little boy... Geez. Knuckles looked at Sonic, who was looking at the Hyrule castle bridge guard, who was staring in disbelief. Guard: I've seen weird things, but nothing like you pair... After about 5 minutes of awkwards silence, Sonic walked past the guard, closely followed by Knuckles. The guard's eyes followed the pair, never taking his eyes off them for a second, until they disappeared at the end of the road into the center of town. Guard: Weird indeed.. The market bustled with life, stalls packed with fruit and various other foods littered the town center. People crammed up against the stalls, trying to catch a glimpse of what was on offer. Tiny dogs circled the fountain directly in the middle of the circle, playing with each other and sniffing unsuspecting shoppers. Upon entering the market, Sonic and Knuckles were welcomed by an eerie silence. Sonic: Oh for crying out loud, can't a blue hedgehog and an echidna shop in peace, without people staring at them... Huh?! Sonic gave an angry stare to the shoppers, who immediately continued their bargaining with the stall keepers. Knuckles: Nice.. You ended a situation without violence, I congratulate you.. Holding back an urge to hit Knuckles really hard, Sonic walked towards what he though was an inn, and stared at those who stared at him. Walking into the inn, Knuckles booked a room and the pair spent a relaxing night in beds. The next morning, Knuckles and Sonic heard some disturbing news from a traveller. Raccoon city had been out of contact and strange things had been reported sighted in the city. Deciding that even though it was up to the residents of the city, Sonic and Knuckles decided to check it out, due to what had happened before. Sonic and Knuckles set out for the city, as fast as they could..

The thread may be one year old, but obviously some people have something to say about it, and it's better to bring it back than start a new topic, :p. As I'm sure I've mentioned in this post (think I posted last year, lol) I love SSB, and now that I have melee I love it even more, although it was difficult to get used to the extreme speed compared to the original. I love to play with The One and another friend of mine, and we are all pretty confident that we are some of the best at SSB :D
You do it for the kids.
This is so true in England, as teachers get paid silly wages for the sheer amount of work they do, I feel they should get a raise, certainly over here. Staying on topic, I think it's wrong to swear at your teacher, as you lose your standpoint on your objection to something he/she has done. What I mean is instead of swearing at a teacher because of an objection you have, you could be more articulate and tell the teacher what the problem is. Swearing only makes the teacher think that you are unable to provide a good reason behind your outburst, or that you are able to talk directly to him/her about the problem.

Oh good, so I can stop trying to complete every single one of the early levels to get shines then, :D At the moment I have 50 shines, and I only just unlocked the level with the giant manta boss (can't think of the name of the level), how many shines does everyone else have?
