I always write in bold and put a little '--Elite' tag at the end to inform the person who edited and know who they can contact if they have any further questions. On the subject of the little edited by at the bottom of posts, I have never seen a last edited by Elite whenever I have edited someone's post/s for bad language, etc. Could it be some kind of option we have deselected or something?

Even on broadband, loading massive signatures can be insane, especially when large 500x250 pixel images take up massive amounts of space. Add that to my poor scrolling finger, which takes a real beating on massive sigs :( 10 lines of text and an image is a good idea, but ultimately it should be what's best for a dial-up user, since they suffer the most with large sigs.

I first joined midway through v2, and I was a complete and utter fool back then, but what kept me coming back was the community. Unlike the other message boards I've seen, OB has always had a strong community, even when there were wars (big poppa hump or something, hilarious war) we all just rode through it. I like the fact that I've always been able to talk to OB members and get on quite well, most of the time :p

I've seen the OVA (I could of sworn it is called OVA and not OAV) and it's pretty good, if a little weird. The little mini-map sequences are very cool and resemble a video game, lol. The concept of the movie is quite cool, but the fights aren't drawn out enough for my liking.

Neither do I, but this belongs in an earlier thread all about riddles, which you can find here. Please bring back older topics of the same subject instead of creating new ones.

I too bought the game just yesterday, and I love it to bits. I turned the trails effect off though, I couldn't play with it on.. Tht thing I love the most are the bikes, storming away from the police doing a wheelie is a ton of fun.

I think you were using one of the default avatars that Otakuboards offered a while ago, but those aren't there anymore. You can upload your own avatar in your profile, as long as it isn't over 80x80 pixels in size.
Question: is that the old version, (made in the '60s I think, but the one in color, not the really old black and white version), or the on from the '90s with Leonardo DiCaprio?
I think I've seen the 60s version you're talking about, but I was talking about the 90s version with Leonardo DiCaprio, I love that movie because of it's excellent adaptation of the play.

These kids walk around calling themselves "gangstas"? Leave them to it, live with the satisfaction that you lead your own life and that's how you like it. If they start a fight, beat the leader into a bloody pulp. Blunt? Yes, but those kind of people are wasting everyone's time by acting stupid.

A person should never be killed because of their knowledge alone, what have they done wrong? Implementing that knowledge is a different matter altogether. Another point, if there is a bomb that can rid the planet of all organisms, what is the point of it? If the entire planet's organisms are destroyed, what are you fighting for? Nothing. Why? Because you're dead along with everything else you destroyed. A pure example of science being used wrongly.

Sephiroth has answered all the questions here, but if you had scrolled down twice, you may have noticed this topic which explains what you have asked SSJ_WILLIE. There have been numerous topics on how to do this recently, please take a look before starting a new thread.

The thing about John is that he thought up the whole toilet thing! It wasn't me for a change! At least your name wasn't Billy Cheese Monkey the third :D

I love a good ol' debate :) I think going to war with Iraq now would be like throwing the first punch in a fight. Regardless of what opposing countries think, no one can say for absolute certain that Iraq has a nuclear/bilogical weapons arsenal. Of course, I'm not denying that I think that Iraq is somehow stockpiling weapons. I believe they have some weapons of mass destruction at their disposal, but how many and what they intend to do with them is uncertain. I agree that North Korea is a far larger threat at the current moment in time, but then again, if all the other big countries have nuclear weapons programs, why can't North Korea? I understand that they signed a form of agreement saying that they wouldn't build nuclear weapons, but it was going to happen eventually. Finally... If George Bush cares as much about his economy as he says he does, then I doubt America will jump on the "let's go to war" bandwagon. It has been proven that war can boost a countries economy, but American will need to watch it's step unless they want to go into all out war. The same applies to Britain, and much of the EU.

The newbie lounge can be an excellent place for newbies to be greeted cheerfully and in a relaxed frame of mind, but I have to agree with most of CWB's and James' points on the subject. A lot, and I mean a lot of really spammy posts go on in there (even I've done it before, getting carried away in the moment), as replies to what newbies have posted in the first place. I can see how a lot of the newer people who post in the newbie forum or just look at the newbie forum will get the impression that the entire boards follow the same post quality, and continue to post in a similar fashion. Sometimes threads just get out of hand in there, sometimes they appear to turn into mini-spars of a sort. I say that the newbie lounge should be taken off the boards, and follow James' idea about "MyOtaku".

I have only ever received 10 PMs, so I wouldn't know! *cries* I thought it was 10 at maximum, although I may be wrong..

My full name is Gerard Hughes, I was named after my Grandfather who died long before I was born. I would have been named Gerard Ardill, but my mother and father thought my birth would take 20 hours plus, not 2. Because of that my dad was late as he was working, :D
It can be a fairly addictive substance
Marijuana is not mentally addictive in any way. The more you smoke, the more smoking it takes for you to get a high, so people who want a high smoke more each time. You are not physically compelled to smoking weed all the time. I've smoked weed once or twice before, but not out of habit or anything like that. I must confess that I smoked cigarettes for a short while (I'm 16, and I hate myself for it), and I didn't get totally addicted, but it was bad enough. (Just had to get that off my chest :)

I'm the man who needs his sleep but refuses to sleep at the right time :D Because of this, I'm always incredibly tired at the start of each day. However, I still perform well in exams regardless of the time of day or how tired I am. Then again, I've never had to face an early morning exam on a Monday, lol.

Ah... The day I read that letter on your little board was the day I almost died of laughter. I must say I've never done something like moon a bridge where thousands of people cross every day, but I have done some silly things. For example, I logged on to a computer to find my headmaster's school account was still active. Upon closer inspection, I found he had one or two pornographic pictures in his documents folder. He rushed back a few minutes later and turned the computer off in my face, thinking he had got away with it. Well, for a laugh me and a few friends decided to print off these offensive pictures (I can get into his account anyway, but I had no interest in doing so) and slide them under his door at the end of school. The funny thing was, he never ever questioned anyone about the pictures. So we kept "posting" rude pictures and so forth under his door until my friend had no pictures left (dirty friend).

I know most disagree, and some may not believe me, but I love to fight. I don't outwardly pick fights with people, but if someone decides to start hitting me etc. I'll go berserk and make them wish they had picked on the guy they saw earlier. I can take hits pretty well, and the more you hit me the more you make me angry, to a point where I may take it a little too far for my own liking. What I'm saying is, if someone was to annoy me that much, I would probably break one of their bones out of pure anger. I have been known for my frankly insane temper over the years and it has been terribly hard to control. I used to start a fight if someone decided to make a joke out of me.. Now it's a little more controlled and I let it go when I get into a fight. A fight club would be a ton of fun... the pure adrenaline of a fight does it for me :)

I would have moved this to the anime lounge, but I found you had already made the same post as this, which you can find here. Although it may be old, it seems to have been answered by a few people, and you should resurrect an old thread rather than make a new one in the wrong forum. Thread closed.

Nice lyrics, funny how bad things that happen can actually cause something productive :D

Bah... This happens so much in England. When I was walking home from school a kid came up to me and said "trick or treat, now gimme your money". I decided to send him home with a swollen lip, as I lose my temper incredibly fast with stupid punks like them. The One and I have had things like this happen to us before, but we have had enough of putting up with it. Next time one of those stupid groups decides to try and do something incredibly stupid, we will probably send them home with broken bones... literally. I don't mean to sound nasty but idiots who walk around looking for fights should get the shock of their lives and walk around looking for medical attention after you've finished with them. Don't bother with weapons, use your fists and show them up completely. Using weapons would only escalate the situation more and would probably cause these people to take the same action against you. Next time you see them and they decide to start some stuff, wait until they think they have control over you. Find the person in the group you most likely think is the "leader" of their little group and punch him in the jaw as hard as you can. This will most likely show the others in that little group that you mean business.

I, like Nerdsy, have never been on a computer that can't copy and paste. Simply highlight everything, press CTRL + C (at the same time) to copy, and CTRL + V to paste (if need be). I do this after I type a long post in case something goes wrong.

Bah... I've already had to hit someone for trying to steal things off me on the way home... Anywho... I shall be dressing up as a Chao and scaring all the little children as they come to my door... :p (Not really, I will give them sweets... honest..)
