RPG Konoha Chronicles - The Torn Earth [M - V, L]

Damn she was fast, Okaru didn't even sense Hotaru approaching. "What do you want Hotaru?" She obviously wasn't too happy about him bothering her. "Would you risk yourself for someone who deserved it?" Okaru sat spinning his kunai knife. "What is this about Okaru? Don't waste my time, I could be practicing." He had to be smart about this. "I think we both know that the gennin exams are typically genjitsu techniques. You'll be fine, Hoto on the other hand will not." Okaru smiled as she lifted a brow, she was curious, it wasn't a total lost cause. "Hoto has no genjitsu, or ninjitsu at all. But his taijitsu is better than anyone at our age leve. Just ask Chozo about that one, Hoto embarassed him awhile ago without breaking a sweat. You're the only one who is going to be able to help. The only problem is we need a third, and I was hoping Matsuda would have come as well." He stood up and continued without giving her the chance to dismiss him. "The plan is simple, when Hoto's turn comes. I'll provoke Matsuda into a fight, when sensei's attention is diverted, and you probably won't be able to see when it is. You make a move, and whatever genjitsu is required you make it appear that Hoto performed it." Okaru's hopes dwindled a little as he looked at her face, Hotaru had always been a cool customer. She wouldn't reveal how she was feeling unless she wanted him to know. All he could do was wait..... -
What was the weirdest thing a family member of yours has done?
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Cat's topic in General Discussion
Well in the name of 'funny' I'll have to go ahead and tell one about me. It's really nothing strange, but it'll give you a little laught. About 10 years ago me and my stepfather were gathering fallen limbs/grass clipings/leaves to burn. At this time we lived in the country surrounded by a field of 3 ft. grass. It had rained a couple days before, so my step dad had the idea to use a gallon of gas on this rather large brush pile. He was smart enough to make a 30 ft trail from the pile, not so smart as to have water on hand. Well he did the honors of lighting the gas, so we stood their watching the flame go up the trail, kicking off small shockwaves of blue flame. The pile literally burst into flame, sending up a flame that was at leat 40 ft high. A shockwave that if standing much closer, would have floored us; and of course the field was on fire. My step father called for buckets of water, but I had a better idea. I went and grabbed the hose, I figured constant stream would beat bucket afte bucket. I grabbed up the hose and sprinted as fast as my bony little legs woud go. About 15 feet from where we had been standing....I ran out of hose. Luckily though I had a nice tight grip, so instead of it falling out of my hands I witnessed my feet shooting in front of my body until I was lying down, 4 ft. off the ground. I'm actually on camcorder, since my mom was so kind as to videotape the incident from the house, saying that she wanted to be sure that if my stepfather killed anyone by starting that fire, she would have the evidence on tape. Instead we have a tape, that looks so unreal if we sent it into america's funnies home videos, the experts themselves would swear we had messed with the tape. After the fact, as I tried to pick up the pieces of my pride. My stepfather comes to me and says "I figured out what the problem was....that was a 5gallon can." yeah, I almost set the record for simultaneously slapping my forhead as my jaw slapped the ground. -
Writing Jackson McGee: Dimensional Leaper
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Creative Works
Jackson could barley inhale the hot air inside the mountain. Apparently even the thick wall of rock couldn?t fully contain the heat of the molten rock they held. This is ridiculous; there?s no way I?ll be able to find anything here. I bet there?s nothing even in here to be bothered by, no ?enemies? to worry about. He just doesn?t want to have to endure this heat. As he finished that sentence, something moved in front of him. Jackson jumped back, drawing his blade. In front of him, a large shadow moved towards him. Slowly making its way towards Jackson; In the darkness of the cave it was impossible to get a good look, even though whatever it was was only about 20 feet away and still closing. As it neared what Jackson guessed to be about 10 feet, he could finally see what he was facing. A 7 foot tall skeleton barred down on him. In one hand it held a sword that was as big as Jackson, in the other was a shield. The shield depicted the same emblem that was on Garith?s. The creature began to speak, which was truly amazing seeing that it did not have a jaw bone. Its voice was raspy, it was one of those voices you heard in all those scary movies. ?Why have you entered the mountain of fire?? As it spoke, its eyes glowed a burning red color. Jackson knew he must have looked dumbfounded, he?d seen all the horror movies about monstrous skeletons killing peoples, but here in real life the question popped into his head, How the hell can this thing be moving? It has no muscle, no skin, but yet it can hold a sword that weighs as much as me? Jackson gulped as he stood tall, ready in case the thing attacked him. ?I?m here on business, I?ve been tasked with locating an artifact the master of this mountain possesses. I ask that you move out of my way, and let me proceed. Unless that is, you are the one I?m looking for?? The thing suddenly sprinted forward with a speed that didn?t seem possible. It slashed down, trying to split Jackson in half. Luckily, it underestimated the young warrior. Jackson rolled forward, came up and thirsted his blade right between the skeleton?s ribs. Not realizing his mistake, Jackson withdrew his sword and lept back. It was then he did realize his mistake. The creature still stood, a slight line was visible where the blade sliced into the bone a hair, but that was it. Jackson sighed, and took his ready stance. Instead of attacking the creature addressed him again, ?Young warrior, the master of the mountain urges me to let you pass. Be wary though, the mountain is a labrynth; there is no possible way for you to navigate it without light.? The skeleton turned his back on Jackson, dropped his sword and shield, and grabbed his head. With a motion that almost made Jackson lose his lunch, he ripped his head off. The bones made a crunch noise that could?ve been heard for a mile. As it held its head in one hand, it waved the other over top of it. Without warning the head burst into flames. It then took its head, stuck it to the wall and mumbled a few words in a different language. The head then began slowly rolling down the wall, leaving a trail of flames that shouldn?t have been able to burn the rock, but yet were staying lit. The head began picking up speed, it rolled faster and faster, until it rolled out of sight down the cave. The headless skeleton turned again towards Jackson, even more amazing then it being able to talk with no jaw, it could also talk with no head. ?Follow the trail lit for you, do not stray. For creatures lurk in the shadows, that are not working for the master. They have minds and wills of their own and will not hesitate to attack if you leave the light.? With that, the bones collapsed into a pile on the floor. Jackson sheathed his blade and began following the flame. -
I really don't have a backstory to this yet. I'm thinking about a long RP in the syle of Naruto. I'm thinking along the same time period of Naruto, but possibly in another area. Or maybe years before, maybe a sort've alternate to the battle with the nine tailed fox. I know there are a lot of tries at Naruto themed RPs and many of them seem to fail, I've never participated so I can't say I know that its because its so easy to god mod and make yourself an onipitant super shinobi when you are just a gennin. Its also possible the story doesn't click or posters have to drop out. I'm wanting something that lasts a long time, I thought it could follow our characters from the end of the gennin exams up through the academy and such, there could possibly be a time skip, or just seperate chapters if people think that would be a better alternative to expecting people to post frequently ( a couple times a week per person minimum). I'm interested in finding out what everyone thinks on this issue. If you'd be more interested in something short in order with less character development and more action, or something longer in which you really get to know the characters. Myself I think I'd rather have something long in which you'd start off the day of the gennin exams, something simple would be the task. Then move on to the academy, of course there would be a small time skip that would be unavoidable in which it would come back a week or so before the jonin exams. Or there could be a timeskip too a mission that we're given as a team for a routine class assignment that goes horribly wrong.

RPG Konoha Chronicles - The Torn Earth [M - V, L]
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Adas's topic in Theater
Okaru sat in the garden alone meditating. He knew his father would disapprove of him just sitting there, he should be training. That's how his father has always been, training, training, and some more training. He never took the time out to sit down and smell the roses. A memory, a distant memory crept in, Okaru traced the line of his scar through his shirt as he thought of it.... "Father, I'm trying I just can't seem to get it." Okaru was in tears, he was younger then, only 8. "We will stay out here until you get it." Okaru's father Okiori Morato was trying to teach him the wind clone Jutsu. A relatively simple Jutsu...for someone who was already a gennin. It involved creating a clone of oneself out of the air itself. The clone would move, talk, and be controled by the attacker though it could inflict any damage. Instead it would allow itself to be attacked, bursting into a whirlwind knocking the opponent off balance. So far all Okaru could do was create the clone, his just burst into a gentle gust. As it was supposed to at his age, but it wasn't good enough for his father. Before this day, Okaru had always marveled at his father's use of this jutsu. If he wanted to, his father could concentrate enough wind chakra into one clone it could literaly take a tree down. This meant however, that Okaru was expected to be able to do the same. "I told you, we will stay out here all night unless you make one acceptable clone Okaru." His father sneared, this had been the scenario every night for the past week. Everyday for 8 hours a day he would exhaust Okaru with Taijitsu lessons, and then try and make him perform Jutsus that were way to advanced. Everytime Okaru failed, and as always was punished. Finally, this time, Okaru's body gave out from a whole weeks worth of punishment. His last clone, didn't even look like a clone. "This is the work you give me? You are an Okiori, and you give me this?" Morato walked to the clone, that did resemble Okaru, except that it was half his height and twice his weight. Morato slashed the clone to bits, the gust of wind did not even muss his hair. Usually a swift kick to the ribs, or a slap that was almost enough to break Okaru's jaw followed. This time, however, Morato turned on Okaru with Scar, the family blade. "Go pick up your blade Okaru, we're going to practice swordplay now." His tone lacked all passion. There was nothing, but emptiness in his words, it scarred the hell out of Okaru, but what was he to do? As soon as Okaru returned with his blade, Morato struck. Moving at speeds the younger Okaru couldn't even keep up, it took everything he had even to hold the heavy scimitar. A particular backhanded slash would mark the end of the session, Okaru marveled how slow it came in. Even in his tired state, he managed to defend. He never thought in a million years his father would actually use Scar on him. As the blade contacted Okaru's, another blade appeared attached to it. Then followed by another, and another until the links of the chakra created blades, snaked themselves around Okaru and dug into his chest. Morato jerked the sword, digging it into Okaru's flesh, all he could feel was searing hot pain accompanied by a scream so blood curtling you would have thought it was a death cry. In fact it would have been if not for Okaru's mother. She entered the practice field in a fashion he didn't know she possessed. She flew in with a kick, knocking Morato to the ground, releasing Okaru from the grip of the snake like blade. Collapsing to the ground, Okaru lossed consciousness right then already having lost too much blood. Somehow he pulled through, you would've thought he would have received a reprieve from his father. Instead he was back on the practice field again, his father pushing just as hard. Okaru couldn't figure out why he was never allowed to heal from his wounds, the constant opening of the wound for weeks at a time, left the scar he revealed to Hoto earlier that day. Okaru snapped out of his meditated state. He used to sob whenever he thought of that day. The day his father tried to kill him, about a year afterwards though. He stopped...just stopped. He'd become what his father wanted him to, he became a machine. Perhaps that's why he wanted to help Hoto, because he brought some of the human out in him. Instead of meditating again, Okaru choose to examine the scenary. The beautiful trees of the garden Hoto's family owned. It would keep him occupied until Hotaru arrived, he knew she would. Even if she didn't want to help, she would want to rip into him for getting involved in her fight ealier and sparing Kagoya the embarassment of being beaten by her. Instead she had to settle for one kick, no matter how good it was, failed in comparison to beating the hell out of him. She was still probably hot and wanted to fight, hopefully he could avoid that. If she specialized in Taijitsu or Ninjitsu Okaru would not be wary at all, but Genjitsu that was a different story. It was all about misdirection and illusion, and Okaru hated having his mind messed with. -
I've never been a real big star wars fan. But the idea of using the "force" powers in massive arena battles, brandishing awesome blasters and missiles as Bounty Hunters, and massive battles in the vacuum of space via crazy spacecraft is none-the-less interesting. I don't play a lot of PC games myself, but I would be more than willing to give this a go. Barring I'm nto still lost in a sea of dead locusts and/or dead Nazi's thanks to COD 5 and GOW2

The Who would you do thread inspired this thread. I was thinking how "great" it was people were so freely blurting out which OB member/celebrity they'd want to do, well I'd like to know how would you go about even getting a chance with your "ob/celebrity crush." Dinner? Movie? Romantic walk on a martian beach (it is OB you can do whatever you want.)
My next RP will be about a team of carebears that duels with lollypops on top of a gumdrop mountain.. right.
Now that's an RP for me, where do I sign up?:animesmil I don't think you'd need to adjust anything like put it in the future or anything. I do think it'll take off given the right timing. Right now it seems like things are kind've dead in the theater, with people being away for one reason or another. I'd be all for throwing in my 2 cents if you'd want some input.

Gaming What would your Prefect Naruto Video Game be?
Drizzt Do'urden replied to a topic in Noosphere
I haven't played any of the Naruto games that have come out, so I'm not real sure if any of them are anything more than fighting games. Mine would be something along the lines of either a DBZ budokai series in which you have an immense world to battle in, something that you could use genjitsu to fool your opponents, or massive ninjitsu attacks that allow you to summon giant creatures after you've gained enough chakra points. Another scenario is something that I've wished they'd do with DBZ is follow the series in an open world enviroment. Sort've like a third person Elder Scrolls, with a massve world that you could do just about anything. You could join different guilds, that instead of thief, warrior, Mage, assassian; they would be Ninjitus, Genjitsu, Taijitsu, and possibly something the equivilant of the assassian's guild. If I could pick only one I would go with the latter. -
I hate that noone responds to posts in the anthologies. Even those whose critiques are less than appreciated are better than silence. You just never know if anyone is reading, or people are just checking your post out and skimming through. For some reason I've never really been drawn to reading sci-fi. Though maybe the realistic aspect of this is what caught my eye. I hope you continue on, make sure you take advantage of the double posting rule here, since a certain OB member and MOD pressed the issue and won the freedom. (Sort've like an anthologies affirmative action).
O_O Who are you? Do I know you? Korey has not mentioned you to me...
Wow, a little OB drama unfolding in this thread...I like it!

For me, this is a slam dunk of an idea, unfortunetly I thought that way about your down in Mexico RP (I still think that was a good idea.) James is probably right on the reason that these don't do as well. You may be better off not mentioning the psychological aspect of it, as it may turn the casual RPer off. If you keep it to a set storyline, and make sure you make it perfectally clear what you're looking for in a poster and what you're expecting of them (not to strict because that's a turn off as well.)

Happy brfday to me, yes I know my birthday was a couple weeks ago, but it was a doozie. I had drill for pretty much the whole entire day. When we were dismissed from roll call I got home to my fiancee studying for her two tests she had the next day. I went for a run and came home to her still studying, took a bath and played COD 4 over Xbox live for the next hour. Talked to my mother on the phone, after getting off I was told "Oh my gosh sorry I forgot your birthday was today." So I went to bed :) Least my buddies on Xbox Live remembered :)

This thread is great, it sort've goes hand in hand with the who would you thread. I haven't gotten to know as many other members of OB as well as I would like, but I've still developed a small one... Sisters: Calypso, Chibi-Master, Cheese-Master Brothers: Takuuya, Katakidoushi, Sazabi (United by a million miles of Sand huah), Dragons Wolfie Hot cousin you always feel "funny" about: Knuckles' Girl
-
And I'm kinda grateful I'm not on the list... yet.
I've always been interested in finding out what you look like Chibi . I'm going to have to borrow Knuckles' Girl's scape goat and say that since I'm engaged, I know its just for fun, but I really don't know anyone well enough to say for certain that I'd want to "bang" them. As far as hanging out with someone, there are several ladies on OB I'd love to "hang out" with. Knuckles' Girl, Raiha (Though I'd fear for my life at the same time), Saiyan PrincessX, and Calypso (I said Hang out not bang so any Feds that read this, back off). As far as celebrities go, I'd love to meet  Rachel McAdams, among several others, but she would be the top on my list.
As to the last part, think a moment about what you're saying: a woman is raped, she's been violated, a physically and psychologically traumatic experience. It's been forced on her, not of her choosing. If that happened to you, would you really want to endure 9 months of pregnancy and then labor?
To answer the first part I accidentally already deleted, we kill flies. Flies are not human, from a religious stand point flies are just like every other animal put on this earth for humans, from a non-religious stand-point survival of the fittest baby. Now as to the quote, I can never even imagine what a rape victim would go through, but as Raiha said they're just trying to run and hide. I'm not a psychologist by any means, but in a couple of the classes I've taken we've discussed this topic. First of all, trying to "hide" from the experience is more detrimental than facing it. Though the pain is there, and its natural to want to escape if you do, but facing it makes the pain go away quicker (or subside more, some people never get over it.). Secondally, keeping the baby can actually speed the emotional healing process. In every rape case study we went over, woman reported feeling like the attacker took their lives in the attack. Having the baby, whether you keep it or not, gave many of the woman the feeling that they didn't allow the man to take away another life. Of course, since this is based on case studies, and as most people know psychology is a fickle science since many diagnosis/disorders are different from person to person none of what I said is guaranteed for anyone. Someone could feel like their lives ended that day, and they could never come back from it, but as Raiha said its only 9 months, plus most women don't know they're pregnant until possibly a month down the way, its not that long, and you'd be giving life to a family that truley wants it (if you don't go for adoption, you could really get the bastard and when he gets out of jail hit him up for back child support until his eyes explode.)

Writing Jackson McGee: Dimensional Leaper
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Creative Works
Gavin chuckled as he watched Jackson struggle to feel his way around the cell. "Sit still, let me open your eyes to the depths of my power." Jackson did what he was told and stoped moving, he wasn't in a position to even attempt to get out of wherever he was. He heard Gavin mumblins some inaudible words, and then suddenly there was a bright shinning light. Through his swollen eyes, it was hard to discern the nature of the light. It moved its way across the room and enveloped Jackson in a sea of warmth. As the shimmering light began to fade, Jackson noticed the swelling in his eyes going down. He also felt something on his leg, it was a gash that had been open'd. He watched as it healed right in front of him, what sort've "magic" was this? Until this day he'd held true to the logical stand point that magic could not exsist, but given the circumstances it most certainly had to. "Now, let us continue." Gavin was obviously not as impressed with himself as Jackson was, "you are but a boy, but yet you bested the kings tenth knight with ease. With the power you possess you could easily kill any of the knights, even Rook, the kings first knight and personal protector." Jackson raised an eyebrow at this statement. The old man said that Gavin was the fifth knight, and though math wasn't his best subject, the first knight would have to be stronger than the fifth. Could it be, that he could take Gavin down given the right circumstances? "Don't be silly, I can see what you're thinking. Know that I remain in the position I'm in for appearances only boy. I've been bidding my time, and awaiting the arrival of someone like you; someone who can give me the edge to defeat King Garith and establish my eternal rule." Jackson could have sworn he saw the sky grow darker through the small window at Gavin's back. "Why do you need me? It seems like you have everything you need to do this yourself. Besides, if you need me, you obviously aren't going to kill me. What's in this for me?" Jackson felt his words must be true, it only made sense. That sinister laugh that Jackson had already grown to hate burst out of Gavin, "Need you? I could easily find someone else to do this task for me boy, you just interest me. Plus you save me the trouble of sending a dozen of my best men." Jackson realized the position he was in now, it wasn't Jackson he wanted. He wanted someone strong, it looked like the cards were back in Gavin's hands, for good this time. "What I need, is a certain artifact. It lies in the mountain of fire, in the wasteland of Iru far to the south. I'll get you to the mountain, and you are to go in and take it from its owner." Jackson had to find out as much information as possible, if he had to do this. He wanted to make sure he knew what he was getting into, "Why can't you do this? If you're that much stronger than me it would seem more efficient for you to do it yourself." Gavin didn't look happy, he waved his hand into the air, mumbling that language Jackson had never heard. In an instant he was standing outside a huge mountain, the entrance appeared to be an old mine shaft. "The foes you face inside are immune to all types of Magic, so you see my disadvantage. Know this I will be watching, and either trail out of here means certain death for all." Gavin disapeared after he made that statement, apparently the explosion that announced his entrance during his battle with Thomas was theatrics made to intimidate his enemy. Jackson stared up at the mountain, or rather volcano. The ground shook violently with tremors every few seconds, and it seemed as though the volcano could go at any moment. Jackson looked at the road that led out of the canyon in which the entrance was located, the road didn't seem that dangerous, it could have been a trick and he could easily duck out, no that would've been foolish, he was sure Gavin was watching somewhere, probably though some sort've magical device far away from the danger. "If he doesn't kill me when I get back, I'm going to have to have him show me some of that magic. Its the least he can do after sending me into this hell hole." Jackson sighed, and made his way into the mountain side, he just knew he wasn't going to like this. -
I had this problem when I started my unfinished story on the boards. A big turn off for people reading it was my spelling/grammar. I can see why; a big help to me was writing my post in Microsoft word first, spell checking it, and copy and pasting it in the thread. I'm not sure if Danddo is a fictional character or not, but I'm interested in seeing where you're going with it. I'll keep up with your story, just think about trying what I said to keep the spelling mistakes down.
Okay, thingamajig
Oh yes, had to point out that I haven't heard that word since I was in high school. Anyways back to the subject at hand.... Before I give my opinion, let me state some pros (not saying I agree or disagree yet) to abortion: 1: Over population 2: Could eliminate children born with Mental Handicapps 3: If proved (not sure if this has been proved/disproved yet, but years ago they were saying that many mass murders, serial killers, etc had a specific genetic defect in their brains someone with some real knowledge on this subject can say if it's true or not) serial killers could be eliminated. 4: Rape victims have one less thing to "worry" about. ( I know that worry is a weak word to use, but it suits). Now those are just a couple of pros. Cons: 1) The baby is technically alive once the sperm joins the egg and mitosis starts. 2) If you're religious or not, ending a life is a sin/wrong. That's all the cons I can come up with, so from a logical stand point it should be the woman's right to choose, I on the underhand have to go with the cons and say I don't agree with it. I'm not a woman so I don't have to worry about carrying a baby for 9 months. I don't have to go through the struggle, but I don't understand why you couldn't carry the child and then give him/her away for adoption. There are always parents looking to adopt a newborn infant, most don't care about the circumstances. I've seen first hand though how a woman's right to choose can be used for the wrong reasons. My fiancee's sister got preganent when she was 20, a year ago she got preganent again. Though the father begged her not to, she aborted the baby. The father was someone she had a one night stand with, and decided she didn't want to "deal" with another baby. I haven't spoken to her to this day, and probably won't for awhile now. I know a lot of you woman out there think like me and think that she shouldn't have been having sex when she knew the consequences. Still I'm sure others think, we'll if she couldn't take care of another baby and give it the love it deserved why have it? Well I'll answer that, the guy she fooled around with had an excellent job, and even offered to take full custody of the baby when he/she was born. So I guess my main point is even if you're a rape victim. Why couldn't you carry the baby and just give it up? Would you be more apt to thinking you could if the government would pay for all your medical expenses?

Keith ran towards the wreckage. "Borris!" He heard a whir of something mechanical moving. "Arm blasters" The mechanical voice of JEMMA, Keith's on board comp., sounded. "Blasters armed." It was a cold voice, but it always made Keith feel at home. "Thanks sweetheart." there was no response, and Keith felt silly but he couldn't help himself. Borris immerged from the wreckage, his hands glowing red. A communication from Leon came over the comm link. "Sir, Me and Alexa are almost in position." Another voice came over, this time it was Cassandra her suit had somehow been made able to fly, she was scoping the area. "Sir, the drones are closing. Half have broken off from moving towards the convoy. They're moving this way sir." She flew back down, drawing her shot gun. Borris looked towards the group that was to follow him, "If they make it up on the ridge we're toast. We have to get position." Borris led the charge up the hill, on top there were some ruined buildings and other places to use as cover. Keith followed, he'd only known what he'd seen in the VR rooms. This was going to be completly different....this was going to be real.

John coughed, spit up something, and rolled over. His legs felt like they were on fire, he looked down and low and behold they were. He acted quickly, and used his powers of ice to put them out quickly. He examined his legs to see if they were burned to bad. "This crap is getting ridiculous." John thought, he went on thinking about how violated he felt. Having someone inside of him, why had Ryo's father done this to him. It wasnt' fair... Suddenly John was grabbed from behind, he jerked away to see an emt stumbling backards. Apparently someone had saw him and called an ambulance. Thank god, his head was spinning, and the more he moved around. The more the blackness crept in on him, he felt as though he would pass out or vomit..probably both. John walked with the emt into the back of the ambulance where he laid down on the stretcher while the paramedic checked him out. He smiled as he thought of how lucky he was, his smile quickly faded as he thought about how bold Eon had been. There could have been witnesses in the museum, but she obviously didn't care. Would she care to rush headlong into the hospital? Or worse, blow it and the people inside it to bits in order to sift John from the wreckage? The paramedic gave him a sedative and he drifted off. He awoke as he was being wheeled into the hospital, as he passed by 1 room. He saw the familiar glow, a portal had been opened. The elevator ride was so long, especially knowing that Eon and probably Catherine as well were immerging any moment. A small spark of relief came when he passed the room that was next to his, Tetra was in the room with a police officer. He wasn't sure why there was a cop, but she was just the person who could help him. As soon as the paramedic left, John lept up. He had to admit, it was nice being a reincarnated her. He healed so much faster than he ever would. He ran out, ran into the room where Tetra was. And before the cop could move his staff appeared in his hand, he spun and cracked the cop in the side of the head. He went down, out for the count. Tetra stared at him wide eyed. John grabbed her hand and they bolted. Halfway down the hallway they halted, Eon and Catherine stood smiling. "Haven't you realized I'll find you wherever you go Ryo?" John looked at them and then at Tetra. "Listen, go get Victoria. Hurry, I'll be at Eon's temple." Tetra stared at him, not moving. Though she didn't say it, she was saying "Why would I leave you? Why are you giving up?" with her eyes. John didn't give her a chance to say anything, "Long story short. I have a demon inside of me, she's going to take me back to her temple to "excersise" it and kill me. Get Victoria and stop her from doing that, neither one of us is at full power yet and we can't do this." Tetra nodded, a tearful look in her eyes. She turned and ran, not looking back. John turned towards the two. "Let's do this." he lauched a missile of ice at Catherine and followed right behind it. She dodged easily, John flew in right behind it. Swung his staff and clocked her in the ribs. She went down, coughing. He caught her off guard, it was time to finish it. As he brought his staff above his head, he felt something wet and hot on his neck. He looked down, Eon had done the old exploding blood trick. Being so close she easily hit his vital corodid artery. If she detonated he was dead. He put his staff down, Catherine took the opportunity to punch him in the stomach as she got up. As Eon snatched him by the collar, a portal appeared behind her. "It's time to go, I've waited to long for my love."

Jason woke up alone. The military was heartless, he and his parents were to leave at 0300 hours that morning. They wouldn't budge, they wouldn't let his parents see him off. Instead Jason saw them off, through tears and the moans and shrieks of his mother. They embraced, wept, and then his parents were gone. Jason returned to the empty house alone. He laid awake on his bed, the only piece of furniture left, for what seemed like hours. He finally got to sleep around what he thought was 5:00 A.M. He awoke at what he guessed was about 6:00 A.M. to someone beating on his door. He looked out his window, that was directly over the door. He saw Jenna Smith standing at the doorway. She was only a couple years older than him, and though he never spoke with her he always noticed her. He got dressed, went to the door and opened it. Jenna was as beautiful up close as she was from a distance. She smiled as he opened the door, "I was passing by on my way to the wall, and wanted to make sure that you were up. I know your parents left you, and since I'm leaving by myself. I thought maybe we could leave together?" It was like a dream come true, Jason didn't even miss a a beat. "W..Well yeah that'd be great. I'm all ready if you want to head out now." His day had started to look up this early. The two walked and talked about their parents. What they would miss about them, what they would miss about northwatch, and every little thing they could think of. When they finally got to the gate, they were the last two to arrive. The 5 others had already piled into the back of a large covered army transport. Jason had always hated this, you could see only a small portion of anything through rips in the canvas. That's how jason had seen the countryside before, from cracks in the trucks. They piled inside, it was nice. Usually they made jason's family pack the trucks full with them and their furniture and all their worldy possessions. This time it was only people and some luggage, it was great. An hour into the ride, Jenna fell asleep with her head on Jason's shoulder. He smiled as he could feel her breathing, a sudden thought caused him distress though. "What if this is some sort've underhanded trick by the government? What if something could happen to me or her." He pushed Jenna's hair out of her eyes. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." It was a promise he hoped he could keep...he had to. After what seemed like an eternity they were usherd out of the trucks. There were already well over 500 people standing in mass. Jason took Jenna's hand, she blushed a little, so did he. They stood and waited for something, anything to happen...

RPG Konoha Chronicles - The Torn Earth [M - V, L]
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Adas's topic in Theater
Okaru came upon the practice field in search of Hotaru's aid. What he found was Hotaru squared away with Kagoya, and by the looks of it Hotaru had been winning. He also saw Matsuda rubbing his jaw, apparently Kagoya had gotten in the middle of their sparring, he just wasn't sure if it was Kagoya or Hotaru that had given him that shot. Okaru had been watching Hotaru for sometime, she'd been an anomaly to him. No status, she shouldn't even have an urge to be a shinobi. By societies standards she should've accepted the planned marriage and life that would have been her destiny. Instead she choose to rise above it, and had proven herself to be one of the best. Okaru respected her...and that was all. He approached the circled that had formed around them, pushing past the fan girls that were screaming for Kagoya, Okaru entered the "ring" and called for Hotaru. "Hotaru, I need to speak with you." He stood arms crossed, waiting on her. As he expected, in his rage Kagoya didn't want any interuptions, he charged Okaru. When he got within striking distance, Hotaru met him with a kick to the face. Kagoya went sprawling, those same fan girls that were cheering him on seperated quickly as he tumbled past. Hotaru turned towards Okaru, a look of pure rage on her face. "You and Matsuda need to quit this protecting me thing. I'm perfectally..." Okaru interupted her, furthering her anger. "Im not here to protect you, I interupted your fight because I need your help." Hotaru wasn't interested, she threw a fist that Okaru couldn't have blocked if he tried. As the wind clone, burst into a gentle gust of wind, Okaru put his Kunai knife to Hotaru's thoat from behind. "We all know how strong you are, I can't speak for Matsuda but he'd be stupid to think you couldn't have killed that coward Hikaru. I need your help though, can we go speak in private?" He released her, he gave her a little push to show he wasn't biased. In reality it was because he felt that if she wanted to push him off and drop him she probably could have in her state of rage. "Finish your spar with Matsuda if he still has it in him, then come talk to me. I'll be at the garden in front of the academy. Bring Matsuda as well, he could be of some help." Okaru turned and started walking away the crowd had since dispersed, most of the girls checking on their fallen hero. Others staying to see if Hotaru and Matsuda would continue their spar. Okaru hoped she would show up, honestly he hoped they both would. His plan was perfect, he hoped. He and Matsuda would start having words as Hoto tried whatever genjitsu technique Raiga-Sensei thought up, most likely it would be a replacement jutsu. As sensei was distracted Hotaru would use her superior skills to make it appear that Hoto had performed the jutsu while Sensei was none-the-wiser. He just hoped the two would help, Hoto worked so hard, and was the first person to ever approach Okaru. He wasn't sure why, he was content with just going through the motions and training with his father after hours. He reached the garden and sat down on a rock, waiting for at least one of the two to show up. -
Well I finished Dead Space and Total play time is.
9hrs 8 minutes on medium
. It does offer some nice incentive to continue playing, 50,000 credits and 10 power nodes (which if you hadn't read above is what you use to upgrade weapons/armor.). The only problem is if you want to juice up the difficulty you have to start a new game and lose everything you've unlocked. Unless you download a suit from Xbox Live (SSGT Tyo if anyone's interested in looking me up). I downloaded the Elite suit, which (once you'll play you'll know how good this is/isnt.). That one is free, there's another that costs points and I ddn't feel like spending the money.
