1. Dang, this is old. Alright, Legendary Frog is a god. I've just seen his Resident Evil: FLASH Edition. Opened up a whole new perspective on the characters (especially Wesker). His Final Fantasy flash movies are pretty quirky too (wait, he's the guy behind the Chocobo remix movie, right? Watch it. You can sing along with the subs).
2. Hoping against hope that someone will actually read this 1. Have you ever attended an Anime related Convention? Yes. a) If so, what makes you want to attend an Anime Convention? The thought of mangakas/animators within a radius of 50 meters. My definition of *very* close. 2. Have you ever attended any conventions that were /not/ Anime related? I believe I've attended one about earthquakes. 3. Assuming you would go to an Anime related convention, how much would you be willing to pay for a weekend pass for a reasonably large convention? ZILCH. When I attend a convention, I make sure to get everything I need in one day. 4. Assuming you would go to ANY type of convention, how much would you be willing to spend on commercial products? If I absolutely MUST have an item, I would definitely buy it. 4. a) On average, how much have you spent in the past? On an anime convention? Nil. I find no interesting goods in anime conventions; most of their wares I can get from a store in our area. 4. b) What's the most you've spent? Not applicable. 5. Assuming you would go to ANY type of convention, how much would you be willing to spend on NON-commercial products (fanart, doujin, "artists' alley," etc.) If it would get me close to a mangaka then money is not an object. That was quick. EDIT: 6. Do you cosplay? Yes. Aha. :animeswea
3. Hello hello! Sorry for the delay. Wasn't able to find usable pics of the other characters. :animeswea Do tell me if you want a different banner.
4. A .hack// request! w00t! (I was planning on making a Culdcept set for you but I couldn't find a ny decent picfrom the series.) Alright, love! Consider it done. Please wait for my set.
5. I'm afraid I used too much pink again. o_O Sorry I couldn't add the other girls in. *bows*
6. 1. What do you feel makes an Otaku? Does a collection of anime have anything to do with it? Does cosplaying? Does frequent watching? Does reading manga? Does collecting manga? Does collecting merchandise? Does knowing everything about the animes they watch? An Otaku is anyone who wants to call him/herself an otaku. He/She may have an entire library's worth of manga or just a list of program schedules but is an Otaku anyway. His/Her forte may span a range of titles or have only Earth Shoujo Arjuna in his/her arsenal but he/she's still an otaku. 2. Is it alright to discriminate when watching anime? What if a fan does not watch Evangelion, Hellsing, or Beserk, for various reasons, but knows everything about her fandoms? It's never wrong to specialize in a particular anime series. Perhaps he/she hasn't heard of it, perhaps he/she isnot a fan of that genre; one cannot possibly know everything about every anime in creation. 3. Is it alright for a fan to watch 'Americanized' anime? This refers to Yu-gi-oh!, Pokemon, Shaman King, etc. What if they watch it uncut? What if they refuse to? What the--of course, nothing's wrong with "Americanized" anime. Heck, it could be in Swahili but I'll still watch it. (provided that a) it is good; and b) it is subbed) 4. Should all anime fans know, or be in the process of learning Japanese, romanized Japanese, and kanji? I say "nay!" If we all did, Tokyopop and them dubbing companies will have to close shop soon. Learning Japanese ain't a requirement to truly enjoy anime. See, even if you can speak Japanese but knew zilch about the culture then you can't possibly get the point of an anime like Yakumo Tatsu. If you still want to learn Japanese, I suggest you learn about the culture first. 5. Is it alright for a fan to watch Pseudo-Anime? (Teen Titans, Totally Spies, Shinzo, Avatar) Aha. Those aren't "Pseudo-Anime". That is still technically anime--animated, if you may. ;) I *heart* Totally Spies. 6. If an Otaku is discriminate about violence, and sexual activity in anime, is that alright? Different strokes for different folks. I *heart* bloody anime yet cannot bring myself to watch hentai. 7. Do you feel that there are many female Otaku who watch mainly non-shoujo anime? "Many" is a good term. I, for one, am not a follower of shoujo anime. 8. And lastly, how do you feel about Otaku below the age of 15? Alright, kiddo; how do I feel about 40+ year old anime fans? A bit of a trick question there. Many otakus would say that there are different anime/manga to suit different age groups. I agree. Pretty much what everybody else said. :animesigh
7. Definitely. Good looks=good genes. Erhm. I've to see something really memorable in the person's looks (a mole or whatever) so I can remember him the next time we bump into each other. People think I'm a snob 'cause I don't greet them like I do with my other acquaintances but really, I just forgot about them. So yeah, I judge people by their looks all the time, not really by how good-looking they are but by some unique feature. Of course, having a pretty face ups your chances of being remembered.
8. Resident Evil © Capcom Whew! That was fun! Sorry I had to use another picture of Jill. I couldn't extract her figure from the image you provided. :animestun
9. They'll grow out of it. Hmm, I for one took the presence of bishounen as a sign of a good anime/manga. I do love them but even an army of well-drawn characters cannot make up for a bad story. I guess people will always see anime and manga in different lights. Perhaps in fifty years, the habit of tagging them with particular genres will end and people will think of them as plain media (like movie=film and not movie=screen-adaptation-of-a-book).
10. Name: Sagittarius Gender: Female Faction: Heaven Appearance: Sagittarius' ivory hair and droopy purple eyes give her a look of serenity atypical for warrior angels like her. Off-duty, she's often seen in a white summer dress which matches her fair complexion quite well. Her angelic avatar looks very much like her other form save for the requisite wings and halo. Geared in mithril armor, those who see her transit during her nightly patrols often mistake her for a shooting star. Weapons: A mithril bow and a quiver full of silver arrows. Powers: Life force manipulation. Usually takes the form of a high-level barrier that depletes her energy fairly quickly. Personality/Motivation: The tireless guardian of the border between North Pole and Heaven. She is very fond of the Spirits and has worked with their ambassadors to bring both sides to an amicable agreement. Seeing that she was acquainted with the Northern Spirits and their customs, Sagittarius was asked to man the watchtower of the North Divide. For countless years she held absolute command over the gates and kept at bay all that dare cross the frontier. Her rule knew no faction, only trespassers; even the hosts of Heaven couldn?t use the gates. Years of relative peace gave her time to think about the war and she often wonders why it needs to be fought. As the war rages with an intensity fiercer than before, her superiors now force her to allow their hosts passage, a request she has no plans of considering.
11. Nuts. FireMage beat me to it. Here you go. Oh, oh! The background is Retribution's work. Loved it ad decided to use it for your avatar.
12. I don't know. I'm pretty sure it's just a phase. I've gone through the same thing (sashaying around like some high priestess of an anime cult). She's probably just excited that she knows something about one of the *hottest* anime around. Which is kinda enough to make some people gloat in self-admiration. She'll get over it. You'll get over it. We like anime for several different things. Can't really say if there's such a thing as a "true" anime fan. Maybe she just shows her love for anime that way (however quirky that way is).
13. Perhaps.. perhaps I would. First up, the use of life-support systems isn't for free. Plus you said that there was no possibility of the person coming back 'cause the brain's too messed up. I'd probably donate that person's organs; at least somebody could benefit from his situation. Hmm... Is there some way to determine if the person is still, um, thinking? You know, like the brain's still functioning beyond the minimum activities to keep a person alive. If test shows that the person in question is still active in that sense then I'll keep him /her alive.
14. Plus,
Saruman's just a shriveled piece of plum then and it's nigh impossible for him to return to power. Think Grima thought that he'll ascend to power with him so he stuck with Saruman.
Poor wretch. I still refuse to watch my copy of ROTK, not until The Hobbit's trailer shows up (which is probably never *runs off to watch ROTK*)
15. Haven't committed a crime that could put me in jail. Oh wait, there was this one time...
Ahem, but on a more serious note...I suppose it depends what rules we are talking about. Are we talking about laws? Or school rules? Or the rules of a club? Or general "rules" of behavior, related to courtesy and so on?
Trust The James to sort things out. I'll go with a) laws for the rest of this post.
[b']So I disregard that law entirely... I've decided that it's ridiculous, and I'd rather pay the fine than to uphold their moronic law.
Perhaps this particular ordinance was a bit harsh. They weren't even willing to compromise (skate zones=good). Now we see that the problem lies on the lawmakers themselves. If they still think of you as a "rude and obnoxious little punk" then you should probably get people from other sectors (read: concerned, non-skateboarding citizens) to back you up. Drag your parents along too; I'm pretty sure they'll listen to rallying mothers. I'm too lazy to do my paper, much less break the law. If I get caught, I have to hire a lawyer, pay the fine and explain to my parents. Absolutely tiring, not to mention troublesome.
16. I prowl around OB 'cause it's the sexy thing to do. First message board you'll find in my Bookmarks list is OtakuBoards. Its rightful place, I must say; OB's the first board I joined and it set my standards of what good threads and posts should be like. Never mind that posts here often reach lengths other boards would classify as long, at least I'm assured of entries brain cells have actually died for and near spam-free viewing. Plus the mods here are really polite (props to the Admin and technical teams too)! I think it's some sort of a message board curse that, after a while, posts start to sound like they were written by the same person (hmm... they probably are. you know tem members who hold 2+ accounts). But it looks to me like like OB found a way to shirk that curse. It's got a chockful of colorful characters (I ♥ alliteration) other boards don't have: you've got your DWs, your ChibiHorsewoman(-ses?), your Sirens, and your Daggers. Add the Charles (read: THE) to the mix and you can't get any more diverse than that. Quirky fun, OB is. (Hmm... why do I have the feeling that I went off-topic?)
17. Ah, if only I could. Though I'm excellent in covering up for others, I'm a little shabby at lying for myself. The only time my poker face does work is when I'm lying for money I desperately need. I tried to fake PMS cramps once but my mother wouldn't buy it; she even drove me to school just to make sure that I won't skip classes. I'll probably give it another shot in the near future... today, perhaps? Then again, I've tons of work to do (half of which are make-up requirements, putting me in the same distressing situation as Black Moon here). *presses Alt+Tab and goes back to her report*
18. Oh yeah, you post things to Art Studio if you want it evaluated. If you're trying to submit something, (a wallpaper, for example) then you'd better head to theOtaku.com (or pretty much any other site that accepts wallpaper submissions ^^). Hmm... If you're submitting work that's not your own, then you'd better give the artist proper credits. A sort of unwritten rule, I guess.
19.
Note: You cannot use an adjustment layer or fill layer as the target layer for a merge.
Hmm... that's the only reason I can think of, assuming you're using Photoshop. Try linking them and then pressing Ctrl+E. Or hide all layers except the ones you want to merge, create a blank layer, select it and then use Merge Visible. *shrugs* Do you have a screen cap of the Layers Palette? That might help. :animesmil
20. Hmm... I'd go for Yami no Matsuei's Watari Yutaka. I would love to meet this *talented* scientist and go into some sort of apprenticeship under him. A, the things I could learn from someone imaginative enough to try to make a gender-changing potion! Oh yes, and that would mean free and unlimited access to his Ultimate Castella-Cutting Machine Jason-kun! *squeals* But then I'd have to die first. Bummer.
21. Last year, our country was visited by some 24+ typhoons, a few of which entered the Typhoon Hall of Fame for having the highest number of casualties and properties damaged. What we called "supertyphoons" back in the late '90s brought rain that seemed like mild drizzles compared to the typhoons of '04. Yeah, freaky weather that was. Hey, is it true that average global temperatures reached record highs somewhere in the last five years?.
22. Over here, it's actually illegal to engage in the mail-to-order bride business--buyer, bride or pimp. The guy shouldn't have beat the poor Russian up; even if she was mail-to-order, it's not like she's all his to be treated in anyway he wanted. Probably because of extreme poverty that these women consider going abroad to live with a stranger a possible solution. Sad thing is, if ever something terribly wrong happens to the woman, she can't just leave the guy. It's likely that she knows no one in that country and doesn't have enough money for a trip back home so she's kinda stuck with him. Internet Spurs Growth of Mail Order Brides
A Filipin(a) mail-order bride was murdered by her Australian husband of a few months, then quickly cremated, after he had taken out an insurance policy on her life.
Again, it's not like she's all his to be treated in anyway he wanted.
23. If you fall asleep at say 2:00 am (which is still pretty early by my watch), try sleeping at 30 minutes earlier for the next couple of days. And no, you absolutely must not fall asleep before 1:30 'cause it'll just mess up this technique. If you can't fall asleep by 1:30 then
Practice your spelling words and read. It will help you TREMDOUSLY. And it will make you very sleepy. ^_^[/color']
at 1:00 am. Right then. After that, sleep at 1:00 am. Keep adjusting your bedtime by 30 minutes every two days until you get to your target time. PS: Rid your bedroom of stuff that make you stay up late (the TV, for example). And yeah, it worked for me.
24. I say Gundam's appeal lies in its model kits. Not a fan of the series but I like them model kits better than ZOIDS'. The plastic smells nice (even when burnt) and is pliable to some extent so it doesn't break easily. The joints hold well as a result of excellent molds used during manufacture (which saves me from the trouble of shaving off jagged edges and wasting precious time). Gundam kits are also easy to construct making it THE perfect kit for people who need instant gratification. :animesmil Plus it's available in a variety of sizes so one can buy Tallgeese 1-3 at 1/144 for the price of, say, a Tallgeese 3 at 1/100.
25. After hearing Escaflowne's Allen Schezar (sp?), I found out that I had this amazing ability to tell Shinichiro Miki's voice apart from everyone else's. I don't know; it sounds so sexy without being too bedroom-ish. Probably a result of watching too much Yami no Matsuei. *shrugs* A! here's another one: Hayami Sho, Muraki's seiyuu. I absolutely adore his deep voice. Very bedroom-ish. (Off topic: Just found out that he's older than my mother. So o_O) Sakamoto Maaya is one of them seiyuus with a decent singing voice. Erhm, I think that's why she ends up singing at least a song for many of her projects (Wolf's Rain, Earth Girl Arjuna and The Vision of Escaflowne to name a few). I love her.
