Anime favorite and least favorite anime songs
Delta replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
Mameshiba from Earth Girl Arjuna: Standard J-pop, but there's something really different with the song that made me fall in love with it the first time I heard it. Maybe it's the vocals or the acoustic guitar at the beginning, or maybe because the lyrics actually make sense, I don't know. It's a great song to listen to when I'm feeling a bit down. Yep, yep. ♥ 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou from Rurouni Kenshin. Yeah, RK opening songs can be really annoying but I absolutely love the ending songs, especially this one. The beat's really, really nice and I can't help but giggle at "My heart!!!" ♥ As for theme songs I hate, I've only a few (I'm the type of fan who'll love each and every theme song of a series just because I ♥ the anime). Half Pain from Witch Hunter Robin. Yes, it probably sounds depressing 'cause it's Witch Hunter Robin but come on! It makes me want to drop everything I'm doing and go to sleep. It's that strong a sedative. I've always thought that ending songs are supposed to be impressive to leave the fans wanting for more but Half Pain is just plain depressing. -
VIII. No, really. I love FF8. It had the fastest battles among the FFs I've played (6 onwards minus 11 & 12); only X-2 comes close. The Junction system allowed for more customization than, say, 7's Materia and it was in 8 that summon monsters became more than just spells. Overused RPG elements like the damsel in distress, the evil witch, the reluctant hero/swordsman and his band of merry men were rehashed into characters we might actually meet in real life (headmasters, puppet presidents and what have you). I don't know, it just felt close to our times. Plus, Triple Triad was great fun.

What would you choose Love or your Dreams?
Delta replied to WhiteAoiFox's topic in General Discussion
Easy Round, Question #1: Dreams or Love? No contest; I'd rather chase after my dreams. After all, my love is willing to drop his dreams and chase after me. I am that selfish and egotistical. Yep, my dreams it is. I've heard too many stories about people who give up theirs for their loves and end up broke, jobless and unhappy. Nope, I don't want that. Can't risk it. Too many silly love songs ( ♫ hums ♫ ) out there remind failed romantics of their lost loves. -

Say I were to stop WWIII from happening before it even started, only no one heard about it. Would that not still be the most god damn heroic thing thinkable?
"And Hideo Kojima sayeth, 'I shall mold a videogame out of thy character, and christen it "Snake". Thy callsign shall be known throughout the lands yet thy true name shall forever remain veiled. For thou hast brought about great wonders in anonymity thus thou shall become known through it." A hero, huh? I say it's someone who did something anyone could've done but refused to do. By sheer willpower or the wish to go down in history, I don't know, but I believe we can all be heroes, given the chance to play as one. OMFG!!! FF7 T3K D3MO WINZ MY INT3RN3T! Aherm, right. I say nay to remaking FF7 for the PS3. We must be content with FF7-PS, for FF7 shall lose its status as a pioneer in video-RPG's if Squenix remakes it for the PS3. Besides, remake it and there'll be legions upon legions of fans bitching over the best FF7 version. We don't want that. Everybody now: Love and Peace! EDIT: Remember Final Fantasy 8 Tech demo for the PS2? Yep, they made it just to show support for the console.

Yeah, Asian fonts would look really spiffy but Rising Sun created a duplicate layer and offset it to go, I think, with the theme of the banner. Since Arial is a familiar font, we easily made out what's actually written. Throw in something different like Yonezawa and people'll be squinting. I don't know. If your objective is to make your name look grungy, then Trib speaks the truth. As for the whole banner, it appeals to my senses. You could roughen the edges up a bit (random PS Magic Wand + Clear will probably do the job) to match the image, which is kinda grungy-lookin'. Aside from that itsy-bitsy part, I give your banner a well-deserved 9.5/10. Definitely something I would carry around in my sig.

The way i see it, one of three things will happen, 1) They sell these at an insane price, but everyone (including myself) will buy it anyway; 2) They will end up droping half the specs from the system, making it that much more reasonable, yet slightly less enjoyable; 3) They'll lower the price and keep the specs, and Microsoft and Sony will lose hundreds of dollars for every system sold.
Or 3.b) Sell 'em low, get revenues from licenses. Didn't PS2 prices drop some n months after its release? Maybe Sony'll pull another gig like that with PS3.
If sony drops to even second for a few months in this upcoming race, a substantial chunk of the developers will move to something else.
Too late for that. They've got games already lined up for PS3, games that have yet to be released but are already backed up by rabid fans. And with them tech demos and all, the hype's really up. I'm not much of a specs whore but the lineup tells me that I really should buy a PS3. BTW, the FF7 tech demo, that's in-game, right?

Corey speaks the truth! All they need is a li'l lovin' and understandin', yeah? I've seen my share of n00bs who eventually grew out of the label and are now leading normal, happy lives. Guidance, tolerance and a good banner/avi set is what I'd recommend. (And really, the last thing n00bs need are 733ts reminiscing like old geezers.) Let's set a good example, shall we?

Dart's father, huh? I'm pretty sure his name was
Zieg. Yep, Same Zieg from the Dragon Campaign. Rose followed Dart around 'cause he reminded her of her comrade. Too many similar qualities between the two.

?In the peaceful light Of the everlasting sun?? I know that voice. ??In the days of spring?? Yep. No doubt about it? ??Why do the cherry?s new-blown blooms Scatter like restless thoughts?? It?s him. ?Care for a game of Hyakunin Isshu, Ueno-dono?? Ayaka opened an eye. A man stood under her cherry tree, shuffling a deck of cards between his hands. His eyes were fixed to the other side of the river, probably looking for river roaches, she thought. After watching him for a while, she leaned back and stared at the river. ?Yagyu, you know we?re short of one person,? she mumbled. ?Sake?? The red cords of her hip flask slipped through her idle fingers, sending the ceramic container through the cherry eaves, shaking the lower branches and relieving them of their pink blossoms. An outstretched hand grasped the cords just before the flask hit the ground. Yagyu tucked the cards in his sleeves and took a sip, all while he continued staring at the opposite bank. ?Where is Kosaka-san?? ?Takeda-sama called him. Refining the plans? probably.? Ayaka jumped to the ground and turned towards the castle. ?You know how those two are.? Yes, everyone knows about it: how Takeda pined away when Kosaka was seriously injured. Kosaka Masanobu. He told me how willing he was to die for his daimyo. Feh, all the generals are willing to die for Takeda. But... the way he said it... A grim look alighted on her face. It left when she sighed, and then she busied herself by brushing the stray petals that had landed on her shoulders.

Anime What two characters would make the best opponents for a fight?

Kenshin vs. Opponent X Kenshin: *preaches* Opponent X: *gets impatient, attacks* Kenshin: *gets hit, preaches* Kenshin/Opponent X: *attack* Random Kenshin friend: *explains Kenshin's attack* Kenshin: O noes! Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki = pwned! Opponent X: Hahaha! Kenshin: *preaches* Opponent X: O noes! My principles = pwned! *gives up, shakes Kenshin's hand* THAT is why we should never pit Kenshin against anybody. Given the chance, he'll preach to Kanzeon Bosatsu herself! Have Kumiko Yamaguchi (Gokusen) and Eikichi Onizuka (GTO) duke it out in some high school rooftop. Yep, with all their students in attendance. And since both teachers cannot be provoked easily, we could throw them to some desolate island, give them each a bag with a random weapon and let them kill each other Battle Royale-style. -
?You?re so mean, Blondie-san!? As if her situation hadn?t attracted enough attention, Riko just had to shout. Which was one of the few good things to do when in a Japanese train chase. People at the front of the car looked at her and crowded around, slowing the chase down to a tedious weave through the pack. She was just about to go after them when she felt someone pull her back. ?Hey!? Riko turned around and saw a group of men gawking at the slit on her skirt. Feh, salary men, she thought, but then she figured that none of them could?ve reached her from where they were standing. She shrugged and dismissed the pull as a snag on her skirt. By that time, Mr. Blondie and Lady Kaishi were almost out of the crowd. Riko tried to follow but something pulled her back again, this time by the sleeve. Still, no one stood close enough to reach her. She checked her sleeve for another snag. Nothing. Aha. She turned around and lightly stomped with her right heel. Just when she was about to take off, the hand gripped her by the wrist again. This time, Riko returned the grip, held the cuff firmly, and? ?IPPON-SEIONAGE!? ? sent someone flying over her shoulder. He was a tall man in a long coat. Very familiar, no doubt about it. ?We finally meet, Transporter-san. ♥?

Request Is it possible to "sharpen" this image?

Vector graphics or geometric modeling is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and polygons to represent images in computer graphics. It is used by contrast to the term raster graphics, which is the representation of images as a collection of pixels[/u'] (dots).
I'm still a noob when it comes to vectoring but you basically draw Shapes with the Pen tool. Ed's hair is composed of three shapes: one for each shade of yellow. Same with the black shadows on his jacket. The good thing about vector graphics is that it allows one to zoom in and resize indefinitely without blurring the picture, kinda like what happened in the original. Since it doesn't have to account for each and every pixel of color, it packs into a much smaller file size. (This 1024 x 768 image is 217 kb large. Vectored Ed is at 84 kb.) True Type fonts = Vector Graphics, that's why you can enlarge them fonts without getting those jagged edges associated with raster images. -

Hm... how about Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai?
Oh there's one actually. "Seven Samurai" is currently on its first run in Animax Asia and it looks really good (read: AMAZING ANIMATION). It's got its own quirks, though. Mechas, transport animals called Fast Turtles (think Chocobos in carapace) and swords that can cut through mecha steel. I'm not sure if they've made one already but Battle Royale would look great as an anime series. It can run for a good 13 episodes and with a studio like Backgammon at the wheel, we can be assured of uninhibited violence and fountains of blood.

Request Is it possible to "sharpen" this image?
Delta replied to Roxie Faye's topic in Creative Works
Tried every trick I could find. Filters can't do it, so I vectored it. Looks pretty clean now. :catgirl: I didn't vector the whole thing, though. I kinda like the texture of his jacket. -
Name: Ueno Ayaka Age: 22 Sex: Female Affiliation: Takeda Shingen Class: Koga Ninja Appearance: Ayaka minus the sword. Credits go to the very talented (and that's an understatement) Maple Leaf. Weapon: Koga no Gen, ?Threads of Koga?, are thin, lightweight strings spun from spider silk. The strength of these threads was such that three strings were able to control Oda Nobunaga?s horse. The Koga ninjas spun different varieties, including ones that are dipped in poison and oil. Fighting Style: Being part of the Koga Hachi Tengu, members of the Uenoryuu were taught Ninjutsu by Koga masters at an early age. She learned Onshinjutsu, the art of invisibility, and the Gen techniques from her mother and has always found them to be more useful than actual close-quarters combat. Personality: As leader of the Ueno clan, it is imperative that Ayaka maintains an aura of easiness and approachability around her ninjas. She could easily pass off as one of the junior Ueno members if they didn?t call her ?Okashira? all the time. It is because of this laid-back attitude that outsiders often take her for disorganized ringleader, a misconception that has served her well many times. Biography: Ueno Ayaka was born on the spring of 1531 to the head of the Ueno clan, Ueno Hideyoshi and his wife Etsuko. She rose to the rank of Meijin on the winter of 1550, following the massacre that took the lives of the Ueno, Nagano and Naiki ruling families. In retaliation, the survivors banded together and, under the leadership of their three young masters, burned down Oda?s fortresses in Shimousa. The Ueno clan took the fortress in Yuuki and from there controlled traffic to the Northern provinces. Upon hearing of their feat, Takeda Shingen sent Yagyu Hajime to Yuuki to enlist the aid of the Koga ninjas. Ueno received him in Yuuki-oujou but refused to enter into negotiations until Takeda himself came to Shimousa. She agreed to help Takeda under several conditions, one of which was to launch a fierce campaign against Oda Nobunaga. Final Thought: Got sake? Last Question: --

Try putting Fushigi Yuugi on the early evening/PG-13 timeslot. Goodness, our local network cut nearly a quarter of the series because the scenes were deemed "for mature audiences only." Feh. That's the problem when you can't spare late night timeslots to anime. Sure, some scenes were just fanservice but you miss out a lot when they edit out scenes that tell you why the mikos can't get intimate with anyone.

Hughes!!! Oh, right. He's too old. Booo. Right then, guess i'll have to go for the second best: Onizuka Eikichi, 22-sai.
He cannot finish Wild Arms, is 22 without a girlfriend, lives in the school and gets mistaken for Doraemon
. Very cute. Come on, them bad boys need some lovin'. Bishoujo... How about XP Pro-tan? She's very cute. Doesn't have the usual crazy hairstyle/color and if she just switched to normal clothes, she'd look very much like GB's Hevn (only cuter).

CS + more user-friendly + Quick Fix + more loading time - Extract tool - Layer masks = Elements From what I've read, it's geared more to photo editing than graphics design but I guess you can live without the tools it lacks! Yep, good choice. Now I must find a copy. *runs off*

I don't know about that. You still have
bukkake
* which involves no penetration but still is very porn. I'm not really bugged about this one but I see it often: Narutard: someone obsessed with Naruto and mentions/relates to the series in most of his/her posts. It's an insult directed to anime fans by anime fans who forgot that they once had an obsession of equal intensity to a similar series. * Spoiler tagged for PG-13 discretion.

I'd go with a brief interlude in Rurouni Kenshins Shimabara arc: the Sanosuke and Sayo romance. Yes, it would've been nice if they'd had met earlier, before
Kaioh's impatience got the better of him (which eventually led to Sayo's death)
. That way, we could see more of those two together (and more of Shogo too!).

Since Kyo's already mentioned, why dont we throw in Yuki as well? The aloof bishounen who cannot relate to other people Let's see...We've got Kuraki from Yakumo Tatsu, Yuki, CCS's Li Syaoran and Kurosaki Hisoka of Yami no Matsuei. Even FF8's Squall falls into this stereotype! Yep, yep. Very cute.

Good Blondie-san, you look kind of conspicuous. Riko snapped her compact close. But where?s your partner? How frustrating. It?s a popular saying among people in the business, how they can sniff each other out from a mile away. It was meant to be a joke and, yes, everyone got it. But even when Emishi himself tells it, nobody laughs. But the one thing that really bothered Riko was that Transporters never traveled alone, especially when there was sure to be at least a recovery service sent after them. Mr. Blondie didn?t look like an exception to the rule. ?Kaishi-dono,? she whispered to the woman beside her. ?I thought there were two Transporters in this mission.? ?Two, three, it doesn?t matter,? the woman whispered back. Her partner did not even bother to look at her. Expect Lady Kaishi to do something like that. Always composed, cool as ice. Not an atom of her gives a hint as to what she is actually thinking. That?s why Riko loved working with Lady Kaishi. She knows her partner?s always thinking. It?s as if she has got a million Plan B?s in her head waiting for the next surprise or, God forbid, another of Riko?s slip-ups. A parasitic way of thinking, yes, but it?s always nice to have her onboard. Yes, that?s right. We?re pros after all.

Havokio speaks the truth! What I'd do, were I in your shoes right now, is I'd wait this thing out. There was no way you could stop that someone from saying something to the guy you like, not to mention you couldn't actually keep him from acting weird around you. Things that happened were out of your control so maybe doing something will only make things worse. Yep, yep. The way I see it, you're creating problems for yourself. Cheer up, love! Don't let it bother you.
