1. ^ Seconded. Perhaps a special section about introduction threads on sticky status in Otaku Lounge or, at the very least, space in the FAQ/Rules (under "Spam List")?
 2. Chief, maybe you should try uploading them wallies to Imageshack. An image that says that the host doesn't allow "remote linking of files over 250 kb" keeps coming up.
 3. ^ You're on. Liquid Snake One does not simply walk into Shadow Moses. My money's on Liquid Snake (Metal Gear Solid series). Right at the start of the game, you know you're gonna have a hard time with this fella once you find out that
he's planning to take on a couple of jets with a helicopter. He's hell-bent on proving that he's the better twin, that he's more skilled than his supposedly superior brother, Solid. Even after "dying" in Metal Gear Solid, he somehow managed to live through Ocelot's arm transplant.
He should be an FF final boss; the guy simply refuses to die. EDIT: Oh? I don't see a Sephiroth nomination. How odd.
 4. Shiiin-Raaaaa!!! Good Fallen, I've been looking for that image for a *very* long time. To thank you for posting it, I will make you a banner. Please wait for it, Chief. EDIT: One Turks set, as promised. Hrmm... it looks so pixelly. If you still want it, I'll fix it up for ya.
 5.
Secrects Don't Make Friends - From First To Last
Again, you have an eye for which words to emphasize. How you made them pop out of the image is excellent. The traces are kind of sharp at some corners but you did a fine job of rendering the image to solid shapes. The background, though not unique, complements the image and the theme well. (The whole thing reminds me of iPod ads ^^) 9/10 Chalk one up for this baby.
I made a simplified background because a complicated one, in my opinion wouldn't look to good.
Quoted for truth.
 6. That's pretty cute! It's simple but cute. The medium used complements the theme and subject. How the text was written somehow appeals to me; unfussy and childish. Very cute. Hrm, how about drawing in the sky? Yep, I think that would make a good background.
 7. Simple, yeah?
 8. ^ No can do, Chief. Your banners are pretty darn disturbing (love them!). "Tu fui ego eris" --> Silent Hill 1 (allusion to a similar quote that's engraved on old tombstones *shivers*)
 9. Silent Hill. Interesting. Hang on, cowboy (or girl?). Revue's gonna make you a banner. Hey, have you got any quote in mind that you want me to put in your banner?
 10. Yesss... The typography is very nissse. I likesss it. I mussst have it. And now for the obligatory "Where'd you get the font?" The image's colors are really nice (stimulating!) but were you going for an abstract background? The lovely fontage is pulling my eyes away from the general picture. I feel that the image has de-volved into a simple background and doesn't attract much attention. Maybe you could make the image clearer? Probably up the contrast between the light and dark parts. Or add some more details! In any case, there must be a lovely picture under all those filters. It needs some lovin', yeah? 8/10 Because it's groovy.
 11. Hurrah! Eragon fanart! You know what? Your version of Saphira actually looks better than the dragon on the cover. Really. You managed to make the hide on her face look like leather! Maybe it's in the way the expression is rendered. Yours has this "good nature" look to it, kinda like the one you see on excellent professors who just love to test their students. Very apt for a dragon of Saphira's disposition (still reading the book, so I may be wrong). I've doubts about her right eye, though. Maybe you could nudge the pupil more inward, just to make it seem like she's looking at something. Good job!

Most of the songs are from different anime series. Tells a lot about the person, yeah?
 13. How about naming her after a precious gem? That seems to be a pretty popular practice. I'm fond of the name Esmeralda. Very strong name, exotic too. When she's having a hard time pronouncing it, you can always tell your girl that emerald is harder than most gems and is sometimes worth more than diamond. An exotic name is easily remembered but as Lore said, do not misspell it. BTW, you should come up with a good nickname for her too.
 14.
Ride the Wings of Pestilence - From First to Last
Hey... this is pretty good! I absolutely *heart* the choice of font and how you emphasized the words "blade" and "heart". The colors (or the lack of it in some parts ^^) work well together. The dark upper left corner made it look more sinister and prevented the background from looking too plain/even. One thing though: It looks a bit lacking in the middle area; maybe you could reduce the height a little bit? Angsty in a sort of artsy way. You, my dear ninja, have restored my faith in grungy banners.
 15. Name: Opera Age: 25 Gender: Female Appearance: (attached picture from the super-talented Falcoon) Personality: Best described as a foolhardy gambler, Opera loves to tempt Fate and is apparently hell-bent on self-destruction. Her love for the unconventional has often landed her in trouble, although nothing too major that she couldn?t get out of. She exudes confidence and is very competitive. Though instructors are told to go easy on the rookies, she likes to push her trainees? skills to the limit and preaches against mediocrity. Biography: Opera was born on her father?s cargo ship, the Hilda Garde. The crew brought her up and taught her everything about ships, from steering to fixing the engines. On her seventeenth birthday, a hacker messed with Hilda Garde?s system and sent the Hilda vessel into its fiery end, killing nearly everyone on board. Her family perished in the fire. After that incident, she entered the training base Exeter. Her background in aeronautics made her eligible for advanced courses. She graduated as a commissioned officer after three years in the program and was given a permanent station in the bridge. Finally an ensign, she gained access to the base?s technical facilities and was able to use them to trace the whereabouts of Hilda Garde?s hacker, whom she apprehended soon after. In the span of five years, she rose to the rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade and became a first-class pilot proficient in the use of heavy arms. The technical staff also trained her how to maneuver through cyberspace and is now able to track hackers on her own. Weapons: ▪ 1x Ion Cannon ▪ 1x Grenade Launcher
 16. w00t! Tofu! 'Hope this is alright. Send me a PM if you want me to fix it, 'kay? Cheers!
 17. Mya~ Surreal! That's pretty good! You even got the contour right (that sounded weird). Alright as it is, save for a *minor* thing concerning lighting. The outer rim of the pupil's darker than the inside so maybe you could burn the edges a bit, yeah? Love the rectangle, BTW. Draws attention (and contrast) to the pupil. Good job.
 18. 'Ello, luv. Sorry it took a while. I was hoping another artist familiar with the series would take this project on. (A member who wants an orange banner... how curious!) Do tell me if you want another banner or want something in it changed. Cheers!
 19. Also, at point of impact, the probe will be travelling at some 10 km/s. Add to that the fact that Tempel 1's about the same volume as a sphere 6 km in diameter and has a density reportedly lower than that of water (and is probably porous) and that's probably enough. As for the possiblity of the impactor pushing the comet off its course: "If Tempel 1 were a Boeing 747, the impactor would be the size of a mosquito. " -http://www.planetary.org/deepimpact/tempel1.html
-Comets -- frozen balls of dirty ice, rocks and dust -- are leftover building blocks of the solar system after a cloud of gas and dust condensed to form the sun and planets 4 1/2 billion years ago. As comets arc around the sun, their surfaces heat up so that only their frozen interiors possess original space material. -This suggests that the comet's inside holds some of the pristine material of the early solar system.
Moon rocks and rocks from outer space are believed to contain assemblages that date back to the creation of the solar system because their enviroment "lacks earth-style weathering and erosion processes." The closest thing you get are *really* ancient episodes of bombardment and collisions, which makes them excellent material to study the SS's history with.
MY honest question here is. So what if we find ou t the origin of this or the origin of that... What use will that info be. aside from proving once and for all what perhaps madkes up all existing things. then we have a little more useless ingformation to carry around in our heads.
Reminds me of Titan A.E. *chuckles* We all know what it's about, the search for the spacecraft that can create another planet for the human space colonies. Farfetched, yes, but anything's possible. The way I see it, we're collecting all these information so that we can find out what makes everything in the SS tick. Once you know how it formed and how things moved about, man-made planets (or solar systems, if your imagination can handle it) may be within reach. Also, the data may help us in the search for other Earth-like planets (knowing the conditions in the time this planet formed) and possibly extraterrestrial intelligence.
 20. Awright! It's finally July! *stretches* High time to set up shop in Art Studio! --------------+ Born out of stimuli from a certain Pizzicato Five song, this be Revue's thread for her works. It will serve mainly as a place for work evaluation and reference for her would-be requesters. Feel free to rant, rave, rate, sage, suggest and comment on the images that will be featured. At the end of each write-up is a pop-quiz (we all love them, don't we?). Do try to answer it. You may learn something new, eh? And please be very honest and, if need be, brutal. --------------+ The Queen of Kabuki-Cho featuring Yuuko and Watanuki of XxxHolic scan lifted from 4chan.org The Queen of Kabuki-Cho is a song by Shiina Ringo. Yep, another wallpaper. As many of you could tell, the scan was originally in black and white. The kimono had nothing on it but bats and XxxHolic's logo (which covered a sizable amount of space, almost half of the bottom part). Colored it in to make it look like an ukiyo-e. Pop quiz! I made this wallpaper in support of Geisha Skin (Use it. Love it.) and since this be the first question, I'll make it an easy one:
The hexcode for Geisha Skin's forum background reveals that it isn't strictly gray (red=green=blue). It's actually a bit:
a. reddish b. greenish c. blueish

 21. Try 4chan, iichan or other image boards. That's where I request pictures when Google fails. One note: those boards are not worksafe.
 22. Awright! Fanart! First up, that's one really textured surface! How well you cleaned the outlines merits praise. The breadth of the shoulders and hips in relation to her torso looks natural. You need to work on her facial features, though. Apply guidelines, drawing techniques... the likes. Will take up time but at least it will sustain you through your Math class.
 23. Is there any limit on the size, Chief?
 24. Looks interesting. Alright, Boss-fella. Revue's gonna make you a set. Wait for it, yeah? 25. *raises hand* No booze, smokes and spandex? That's gotta hurt.
a major misconseption made by many people is that (in the eyes of the catholic church) being homosexual is a sin... that my friends... is not exactly true
Quoted for Truth. The Seven Capital Sins and Ten Commandments got nothing against homosexuality. Notice that nowhere in the verses LiA quoted was homosexuality even remotely mentioned? It being a sin is just something the institution cooked up for followers willing to ingest any crap they offer without even checking what's in the soup. Like the guys at LiA.
Women: Women must shave legs and underarms at least twice weekly.
My, my. Guess them camp coordinators don't know jacksquat about skin care. I mean, shave?
