1. My brother tells me you need 15 to get one blue potion, though I was able to pick up a Blue Potion at the Great Deku island (Forest Haven, right?) with 5 Deku Babu seeds (you trade them to that one Korok). Question: What item in Wind Waker allows you to see the enemy's hit points and where can you get it? (spoiler answer, please put in spoiler tags)
2. Let's see if I can remember some of these: Seraph (angel) Kehho (Ginny in Al Bhed) (Lady) Pearl/Baynm (Pearl in Al Bhed) Keio Ginny (whee, original) Rose Reena And others, I think...
3. It all depends on the part of the moon that is showing and the location you need to be at during that phase of the moon. (Did that make sense?) If so...what color is the Rupee icon when you get the final upgrade?
4. 398 Rupees. Um, something like that. If I am right, then what does the Queen Fairy hold when you meet her? (Wind Waker)
5. Too easy. The very first Legend of Zelda you have to look for the eight pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom. In Wind Waker, it's the Triforce of Courage you are assembling. Question: Which game(s) did not have "The Legend of Zelda" as part of its title?
6. Sorry. Please try again. *kind smirk*
7. Already been asked, but it's 5000. In Wind Waker, how many arms and legs does a Great Fairy have (not in reference to the Queen Fairy)?
8. OK, I just checked my Player's Guide on the Rupees, and, sorry Des, you were right about the Reds. HOWEVER, I was also right about there being seven (I KNEW I wasn't seeing things when I got that seventh one in the game!). So which one is Desbreko missing?
9. I'm pretty sure Reds count differently, and I've seen one other color. ...either that or I'm hallucinating. :twitch: Uh oh.
10. LuLu and the IndiGoGos! *cheers* OK, back to Wind Waker *hears collective groan*...SORry! What are the new color denominations of Rupees in Wind Waker (anotherwords, how much are the greens worth, the blues, the golds, etc)? There are seven, so I expect to see them all! ^_~
11. Tedium. That's it--that's what the problem is. You're doing the same stuff over and over again, in the same way. And that's not supposed to happen in a Zelda not. Not often, anyway. I'm reminded of my big Spyro let down I had last year. Spyro: Year of the Dragon had to be the BEST of the series, so naturally I was looking forward to the PS2 version. I expected to be wowed like usual (considering that each Spyro was better than the last, but each also had room to improve in, too). Anyways, the first tipoff should have been the multisystem offering. The other--that Insomniac's name was not anywhere on the game. Intense tedium soon followed. Sure, the graphics were much better, the original idea was clever, but...tedium. To be honest, Wind Waker is doing much better in comparison to the rest of its series than Enter the Dragonfly did to the Spyro series. I know that comparing games is not the best idea. However, when you come to expect something from a series, and don't, you can tell when it is missing. I like that the three Spirit Gems were different in Ocarina; three pearls make sense considering the storyline, but still... And then there is the search for
only two Sages? I felt really cheated at that point. Ocarina had us looking for 6 (actual hunting for 5, and finding 7 in Past).
I know, I know--stop comparing the one game to the other. I still love Wind Waker lots. In fact, I'm off to go challenge the Wind Temple again. But there's still something missing.
12. Mmmm, I guess I'll take that, but I meant as in terms of what the Koroks used to be called, what Jabun's original name was--that kind of stuff. Ah well, ask away.
13. Personally, the whole thing's rather hard to see, to me. I'd stick with what you have now, or put some color into your new one. *hides* Sorry. :toothy:
14. Ten Knight Crests =
Orca teaching you the Hurricane technique, AKA, the Spin Attack.
Name three renames from Wind Waker, and what their original names were in Ocarina/Mask. (Don't overanalyze this...anything will do--enemies, places, characters, whoever.)
15. I'm not seeing anything. O.o;
16. Someone ask a question already! *waits impatiently*
17. Eh, they didn't do much of one for FFX, either. Now that I have a GameCube, I might shoot for this one once I get done with Wind Waker. Looks quite interesting--FFs tend to be good. *dodges sharp pointy things for being a generalizer* ^_~
18. In Mask, reds have hearts, greens have magic jars, yellow ones carry arrows, and blue ones are empty, but good for freezing and stepping on. In Wind Waker (where the ChuChus resemble their Past counterparts), the reds produce spoils to make red potions, the green for green, and the blue for blue. Yellows spit out random stuff. (There is also a Black Chuchu, but it did not appear in Mask.) SO THE CORRECT ANSWER IS: red, blue, green, and yellow. Going back to my question: In Windfall (after you return from Forbidden Fortress the second time), what is the name of the rich girl's Moblin lover?
19. *thwaps James for the second time* ^_~ I do NOT like the Mario series, period. And the camera angle didn't help, either. There's just something that never captivated me about helping a fat Italian plumber jump around all over the place (OK, maybe the RPG ones were good, but other than that, pah! OK OK, I loved Yoshi's Island, but that's enough of that topic). As for the ash, when it floats, I wasn't all that impressed. However, when it floats on the pond, that is the impressive part. And I've already pointed out the realistic body movement. Sadly, I'm not being impressed as much as I hoped, for some reason. Desbreko and I were talking about Wind last night, and we both commented on the strange lack of dungeons, or at least the diminuitive number of them. Sure, there's a lot of exploring to be done, but each bit seems a little too short and sweet. I don't want forever lasting dungeons like Mask (I do NOT have 3 hours to spend in one place, thank you), but the dungeons I've been in don't seem nearly as brain busting as the ones I've remembered all the way back to Past. *dodges tomatoes and sharp objects* Don't get me wrong--I love this game in and of itself. But it's starting to slip downward on my favorite Zeldas list. (It still holds a high place in games overall for me--Zelda games always do.) With any kind of luck, a completion of the game will see a modified opinion of this.
20. 5000. Um, was she right about the other question? Oops on the Triforce! ^^;;;; Question: What is the name of the rich girl's Moblin lover? (Wind Waker)
21. Keio was beside herself with happiness. Haku was ok. And what was more, he was going with her to prove to the others that he was, too. There was the small problem of Haku's self-pity. He was still dwelling on it now. Talking to Mekanorimon about it. About the death, the destruction... OK, so he had a good reason to be sad. Keio's eyes flashed. She was going to help him move on from that. She knew the goodness in him; it was too valuable to be squashed. Beneath her, Rabbitha the Mihiramon continued her silent gallop, powerful muscles moving in strong rhythm. Beside her, Peach the Persiamon kept up quite well. Haku and Mekanorimon floated behind them. At the top of a rocky outcropping, Rabbitha paused, sniffing the air, and her pointed ears twitched. "Do you smell that, Persiamon?" Peach stood beside her, tilting her head upward. "Indeed..." "What?" Keio asked, "what is it?" Haku jumped out of Mekanorimon; the Machine Digimon blew some steam off unexpectly, sounding almost nervous. Haku glanced at Keio, uncomprehendingly. As if to join in on the confusion, Keio's digivice went wild, glowing brightly. "THERE you are, Princess!" a voice suddenly rang out. "KYUKIMON!" Keio cried out in relief. "How are--" She was cut short as the Ultimate brushed past her and hoisted Haku high with one sickle arm. "And there you are," she snarled menacingly. "Kyukimon, wait!" "Not this time, Princess. This is for your own good." "Can we take her?" Rabbitha asked Peach quietly; Kyukimon's ears were still good, though. "I wouldn't if I were you," she answered, waving her free arm at the area around them. "The Princess has an army with her now, just as she should." All about them in every direction, the Animal Army rose up. And every eye was on Haku.
22. Arrghus, or as I like to call him, the Big Fuzzy. ;) Question: The Koroks are the decendants of what famous race?
23. I also read in my player's guide (without spoiling the game for myself) what else the Tingle Tuner does. Apparentally, you do NOT need it to complete all the special stuff in the game, but for a fanatic's sake, you DO need a GBA and the cable. (Hint: it's all about the photos.)
24. Who do I blame for the miserable camera angle that keeps turning me away from the Mario series constantly? >.< Anyways, I can see Aonuma's influnce in Waker; there are definitely some things that carried over from Mask...I can't really say what, but that is the sense I am getting. Not only is The Wind Waker taking pains with characterization, but, as I pointed out before, it's being "true to life", almost to the point of being anticlimatical. I cite the
Queen Fairy
incident. I won't explain, but those of you who have seen her know what I mean. I had my first frustrating moment in a dungeon last night. Make that my first frustrating half hour. I dunno whether to scream or cheer. The Wind Waker has seem a little...weak....on some of the puzzles, but
the Mirror room in the Earth Temple
might have been pushing a little too hard to be frustrating. The other game influencing all this, like I said in my first post after getting Waker, is Past. Hades, Past is closer to Waker than Mask, by a long shot. The whole searching for certain items to get into certain places bit. That's all Past right there (Ice Rod, anyone?). Enough babblering from me already. I'm going to go play some more.
25. Since it's early in the game and you are without a weapon,
definitely try staying in the UPPER level. Anotherwords, swing around on the laterns, and DO NOT go to the first floor unless absolutely necessary. You will run into a pair of Moblins later on that you need to sneak past, but like I said, definitely stay on the 2nd level. Odd to think that you want to be caught to get anywhere.
;)
