I'm getting mixed reviews on this from everyone. *points to siggy* Good for a laugh. Anyways, I found out about this because of a joke my management team is playing on one of the managers. Short fuse guy. From what I saw in the previews, Dr. Buddy Rydell (sp?) acts a LOT like him. Heh. I'm not a terribly big fan of Sandler, but Nicholson is always fun. When evil. :devil: I'm planning to see this tomorrow (was supposed to see it today, but ah well).

Anyways, [i]never mind the debate[/i], how about just sharing the people? One of my old church members named Brandon Simon is in the Marines. He used to be such a jerk, but now... I also know a guy named Corey Yuroc who is in the Air Force, and is also in Iraq right now. He was such a sweetheart the week I got to know him. All of my managers (save my G.M.) have served or are going to. Three of them are "retired", since they already fought, and the other one is on reserve right now. I could never do what these guys are doing or have done. I remember a quote saying that "Those who served know how precious Freedom is versus those who already have it." Yeah.

He has no eyes? What I like most about this is how his leather jacket thing looks like someone did an ink press for the texture. (You know, where you carve the image on something, spread ink on it, then press it onto a piece of paper.) Niftiness! I think if you can make the bare arm stand out a little more--I was unable to tell that it was bare the first time I saw it. Other than that, doing good. :)

I see a potential art technique here, but I'm with Sara. Can you make the attachments smaller?

WOW! Heh, I see some PhotoShpop 6 brushes in there, but I'm interested to know how you did the wings. And the colors are fab! The face...eh, rubs me the wrong way. But that's just me. ^^;

Kyukimon tightened her grip on Haku, glaring at him with deadly eyes. The hairs about her face prickled upwards as she narrowed her gaze, her ears flattening back, her sharp fangs glistening as she snarled at him. Her back teeth were easily viewable at this point, and her eyes were mere slits. "Kyu..." Keio whispered. With an air splitting bellow, mostly of rage, partly of shame, Kyukimon hurled Haku roughly to the ground, then tucked her now-again arms into each other. Keio quickly knealt to help Haku up, who was shivering uncontrollable, aware of just how close he had come to death. Keio was also terrifed of her most trusted Digimon's actions, and looked at Kyukimon questioningly. The Ultimate only had eyes for Haku at the moment, though. "[i]Talk[/i]..." she hissed menacingly.

I agree with Sem, keep the one you have for now. No, wait! Use your new one. No, wait--! *is quite indecisive* Heh, anyways, I have yet to figure out how to make that effect, so I'm still wowed by it. The only prob I have is that blank area between the dog and Ed. Kinda too empty. The colors are EXCELLENT--which is why the empty area looks all the more so. 9/10.

*thwaps Sara* I just now noticed that, since you pointed it out. ^^; Very prettiful. I saw it in another thread and it's quite eye-pleasing. The text could still use some work in being visible, but other than that, I like.

Don't expect much? Don't get much. :o Please remember that your art is just as good as anyone else's. Right now, it's showing me that you don't have much confidence in your ability. Take some time to rework this one with a positive mindset, and come back to show us the result. I [i]know[/i] you can do better than this. :)

Maybe the image and the chunk of text next to it are throwing the balance off. The pic itself looked odd to me at first--it took me a moment to figure out that he had a face. oO; Quite frankly, I really like the text at the bottom. It fits the banner. The grid and color are also good choices, as well as the repetition of the word "dead" on the right. The balance still seems skewed somehow. Unless you wanted to make it seem like a symoblic hospital bed, with the "dead" text being his chart at the foot of it. Does that make sense? :bluesweat If that isn't what you meant to do, I recommend centering the image, and having the repeated "dead"s spilling out on either end of it.

I have never seen this character before, so I dunno how she's supposed to look, but she [i]does[/i] look a little too skinny. I also agree with everyone else on the shading/pencil-ing part. The amount of lights and darks you put in balance nicely (I wanna learn how to do that better, :)). Keep up the good work. *:p @ Sara*

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure I can find avatars for everyone. I've already got a big set of FFX ones, ranging from the main people, to the villian, to some of the minors even. *hopes to win one of these survivor things one of these days* *hopes this one will last all the way through to the end, too*

RANT And why do I have to constantly listen to you people yammer about how "bad" you are? Reminds me of how people put their personal photos in the "Your Picture", then title the thread "This is God-awful ugly, so don't look!" How about, instead of making the artist feel bad for saying you suck, you either compliment them and keep doing your art, or just not say anything at all? I'm tired of this happening to me, and I'm sick of seeing it happen to others. Feeling sorry for yourself isn't gonna make you better, but it can sure sap the joy of art out of it for the artist. If you are trying to do that, shame on you. If not, then just practice. We are an open board here. Coming outright and saying you suck in a thread that is supposed to be focusing on someone else's art is just as bad as outright telling that same thread starter that their stuff sucks duck.
