I say get a font that reflects Yuna's personality, play with some text effects to make it stick out, then make the text layer an opacity of about 75% (anotherwords, see-throughy). Is it just me or does the regular old rectangle edge seem rather dull and limiting for this banner? Other than that, amusing quote, NIIIIICE piccie: 8.7/1o.

It was the airship falling apart before they could get anywhere. Which means Avalanche would beat them to wherever they were supposed to be next. Elite brings up a good point, though--the man was potentially putting the firefighters at risk. He acted out of rash love, by running in without alerting them. Firefighters are more prepared for fires since they are trained; civilians are always asked to stay out of the way, for the good of the whole. Not to say I wouldn't do it for my dog. I would try to save my Fred, if I could. (Let's just hope I'm never put to the test on that.)

Malboro screamed, severed tentacles wriggling about on the floor amid pools of green acid. It drew its stumps to itself again, then regenerated its arms. [color=orange]"AUGHH!!!"[/color] Zidane was bouncing up and down in his seat, torn by the excitement. He looked ready to pull his hair out and ran to a nearby attendant. Auron gathered momentum to spin about in a circle; as he did, a large tornado formed about him and rushed toward Malboro. Auron threw his sake bottle at the tornado, and it exploded into a massive fireball. Watching their efforts, the team felt proud of themselves. Until Zidane stepped in. And on the last remaining eyeball of the Malboro. [color=orange]"Ewwww...are you guys ok? I told the people to let you out and--"[/color] "Sir?" I was half hoping to see some stars in all the blackness of the background. ._. Prettiful! Works very well together. What impresses me is the lack of white edges. EXCELLENT. Did you do the effect around the character, or was it that way natch? Either way, you still walked away without edges showing, so kudos! If you have PhotoShop, try to pull up a paintbrush that looks like a cluster of dots (it's a bit down the brush list). You can use that as a good star effect, if you so choose. 9.3/1o

I have heard of the show, never seen it. *is watching the avie animation skip just before the thread inserted animation* Heh. Very clean, with a common theme running through the whole animation. My fav image is the very last one, with the blue sky and the lines. Dunno why. *shrugs* And kudos on keeping all the text justified in the same way. That was well thought out. Nifties! 9/1o.

I like it--simple and clean. *thwaps anyone that starts singing that song* Is there a cloud behind him in the pic, or did you cut the pic out and stick it on a light blue background? Because that will determine if I have a nitpick or not, which is this: I see some white edging around his face. It's a good effect, but it's not around the entire face, so it breaks up the--what it is that it is breaking up. Oo; (Disregard nitpick if it was a cloud.) CONGRATULATIONS! I can read the text clearly, I can see the text clearly, you have no idea how happy you made me. ^________^ Maybe a tiny drop shadow to make it stand out just a bit more, but it's fine the way it is. Pretty much what everyone else said. Coloring a certain way (anotherwords, the pressure you put on the pencil and the direction you color) will create certain kinds of texture. Doing this will make it look ooo-y. Ditto with the shading. As I once told my DigiPeeps, determine where your light source is, then lightly sketch the shade contours. If the sun is behind Kougra, then the shadows will be on his left side (for this pic, anyway). You already started doing that a bit right around his legs and neck. Some of DigiPeeps not only did the shadows, but also threw in highlights for their pics. That takes your picture very [i]very[/i] far. Highlights will be very close to your light source, in this case Kougra's right. My only nitpick? Kougra's proportions look a little off--the stomach seems too long. But then, if Neopets has him looking like that...I haven't been in the longest time (my poor critter!), so I dunno. *yanks art professor hat off* By far, you are quite good at vibrant colors. And nifties on the cloud effect. ^_^ 8/1o.
