Actually, it's my turn to ask one. And this one's rather freakish hard, unless you know it. Describe the way you can activate the in-game glitch that leaves Navi at the Spiritual Stone altar in the Temple, instead of following you around (she follows you again once you leave the Temple). Seven, I think?

This is just something that's bothered me for a while now. Here in America, we have many different kinds of people, cultures, and beliefs. Yet, it seems to me, more and more, that failure to keep up with the latest tv show episodes is given more jeers than keeping up with the latest information on the news. Yet the news seems just as contrived, sometimes, as the tv shows. My question is, do you think that intelligence is based on just how much of society you are expected to know, understand, and possibly even support? (I hope I'm making some sense.) What about common sense and wisdom? More and more I feel shut out of people's problems because they feel that I am too cheerful to seriously talk about bad things (NOT TRUE!) or that I'm just not intelligent enough (I'm more of an emotion based person than a logic one).

Is this why you were so quiet on AIM last night, Shy? Heh, well, I was sleepy, so I was too...but ANYWAY. I'll be honest, like you have been, but I get the feeling it's gonna send me on the same problems it sent you--being scorned and abandoned for sharing. I don't agree with your decision, but, like James said, your sexuality isn't really what makes you you (it does a bit, and yes, that bit bothers me (please leave me alone about being close minded and junk, all of you--I'm not, but I'm not changing my faith to be "politically correct")). I still respect you as a person. But that leads to the other issue we started to talk about before I had to leave AIM for the night. About intelligence. I won't divulge here, but you know what I mean. I just feel like I'm losing both you and Sara (not because of your truth, but because of mine)...

The clock part can be hard, but once you figure out the trick, it's easy. Maybe you mean the freaking Demon in there? I HATE him--the door coming alive and him attacking you. That stinky is prolly one of the hardest bosses on the game--I can always breeze past anyone but him.

The reason I ask is because it seems that all the techs you need will not always be available at the time you have all three Enemy Skill Materia. Know what I mean? Des, you're talking about ChocoBuckle. ;) Enemy Skill Materia were always my favorite. It's like having 18 (albeit odd) Materia rolled into one. Magic Hammer is one of the best, as well as White Wind. *jabbers on some more about Enemy Skill Materia*

Very rarely does it snow here in Texas. I recall three or four times, but those were just 2 inches, if that. Regardless, those were always gorgeous days (when I didn't have to go anywhere). I remember last year's New Year's Eve (or perhaps the year before's) working the night shift, and it started snowing. I was so freaked out, because I had never driven in it before. For once, people were decent drivers and we all went no more than 20 miles per hour. Whew. As for right now, I heard the Texas Panhandle north of me got snow. I dunno what that means for DFW, but it needs to wait till AFTER my finals are done, PAH! Heaven knows if I'm gonna bust my butt to finish them, I'm sure as heck not gonna be delayed in turning them in!

Regardless of what you think, Ulimate WEAPON always casts Shadow Flare before it dies--incidentally, the person it hits also dies. Out of curiosity, has anyone been able to get all Enemy Skills activated on all three Enemy Skill Materia? I've tried so hard to do that without cheating, but no luck.

Yes, let's keep this as a DISCUSSION, and not a FLAME FEST, heh. Republican. The less the government is telling me how to do stuff, the better. I need to live the way I do. That's what life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is all about, IMO. I always saw the government as being the "person" that can do stuff citizens couldn't or shouldn't be allowed to--like punish wrong doers, negotiate with foreign countries, etc.

Well, I've only dabbled in a few animes, but there have been some awful mistakes that have been made, plot wise. Any Digimon "expert" can point out those flaws. In Season 3, a character was supposed to be a male (Antylamon), but, for "kinder to children" reasons, the gender was changed to female. Several eppies down the line, a girl character (Suzie) was trying to teach Antylamon how to refer to himself in the male pronoun...or something like that. Anyways, they butchered that scene...made it sound like the female Antylamon was trying to figure out where north was. >.< And that is one of the KINDER examples. Plot lines get messed up when the translators are too eager to get their money for their work. Agreed, most dubs are good...but some vital stuff tends to get lost along the way. In FFX, I found the original script for the game, and was a little startled to see that Auron was "harsher" in the original wording. But the original script also helped me to understand some aspects that didn't make sense in the translated game. Overall, I'd still stick with dubs as opposed to subs...it's too distracting for me to read the words AND watch the action. I prefer my own language, yes, and the best reason of all--I just happen to be lazy like that! ;)

"How y'all doin'?": Hello, how are you? "What up?": Not "What's up?", but more of a response to someone asking a favor--"What do you need?" "Bah/Meh/Pffft/Teh/Peh.": Sign of discontentment/boredom/disagreement. "BWEEEE!": Heh, this one I picked up in OBBII. Extreme happiness or goofiness.

I remember that tensing thing--something one of my high school teachers taught me. It's pretty easy. Find a flat and quiet area to lie one. You might want to get a small pillow to rest your head, but try not to get one that will elevate your head above your shoulders. What you do is tense each part of your body for a few seconds (start with toes, then foot, ankle, calf, knees, thighs, so on--you save your face for last and tense your nose, mouth, eyes, etc), then let go. Do each area about three times, then close your eyes and picture yourself in your favorite place. The exercise usually lasts about 20 minutes, but it makes you feel as if you got an hour or two of sleep. Right now, I'm having some nasty nightmares, so it's been hard for me to sleep--not because of insomnia, but because I'm  afraid  to go to sleep. Besides, I don't get rest when I have nightmares. The tensing thing helps, though.

At Chili's, the resturaunt (sp) where I work, I get regulars. People who I know by face and name and what they ordered. Well, a few weeks ago, I found out I lost one of my favorite ones--Robert. Sweet man, prolly in his 50s, but very healthy--he seemed like a 30something guy with white hair. He always had something nice to say and it was always great to have him by each week. So you can imagine my shock when I heard from his wife that he passed away suddenly one night. I was stunned, sad...all those emotions. It just...I mean...*looks around*...I still sorta hurt from it, to be honest with ya. (Thanks for making this thread.)

Going back to mine for a sec...so I'm the Pure Maiden of the Waterfall? Weird... Well, I've always liked water a lot. And I like waterfalls. I dunno...this is odd. Does anyone know of a good site for name meanings--there's bound to be one somewhere. *wanders off*

Actually, I could squeeze my whole list down to money. So gimme. Gimmegimmegimme! Heh, I meant my family. ;) Although money from OB members would be nice to, heeheehee. J/K!

It's still awesome--thank you so much, Sem! (Do you mind being called that? I'm just lazy when it comes to long names, is all.)

Sorry for the delay on the character images--Finals have got me bogged down really bad right now. Gimme about another week to pull clear, and you'll start seeing some stuff, mkay? *teaser sketch included--this one is still a WIP, though, 'cause I don't like her face*

*wanders in, looks around* Rikku and Yuna got new looks. Beh. No Auron. *stomps off in a huff*

Hmmm...it isn't material stuff I want so much as the spiritual stuff, and companionship, besides. Hard to list, but I want mostly knowledge, common sense, and the like. But, now I get greedy--heh. 1. Gamecube and SBMelee, new Zelda game 2. a 12" Auron statue--they are all sold out, though, never to come back 3. my favorite person by my side ;) you can gift wrap yourself easily--just stick a bow on your shoulder or something, heh 4. LotR DVD--I have yet to get it 5. Enough money to pay for my car And so on and so forth. Hey, no one said we had to be realistic! :blulaugh:

James took the words right out of my mouth. Your friend was a jerk, and if he flat out refused, then that means he was planning not to go along the first time you asked. I should know, I used to do stuff like that to my friends--but it didn't take me long to figure out I was hurting them. :( Anyways, I wouldn't say take any action against him--don't get caught up on revenge or putting yourself down because of what he did. Definitely explain to him that he hurt your feelings, but try not to make it a dramatic thing--he'll just get more defensive. Best of luck. It should smooth over in the end. :)
