AURON!!!!!!!!!!!:love2::luv::heart: *squeals happily and saves the banner* My only complaints are that he looks a little too faint on the right side, and the pic of him on the left is flipped because the scar is supposed to be over his right eye but it isn't, but who cares? It's AURON!!! *is promptly carted off by the local insane asylum*
Originally posted by SephirothNIN So you wouldn't need a giant katana GinnyLyn, already got one of those?
Heh heh heh...shhh. Maybe not a giant one, but one nonetheless. What I really want is one of those 12" Auron statues...but he's so popular (so much more than spazzy looking Tidus, :p) I'm having a hard time finding one!

I'm to the point where I'm going back and collecting all the stuff I missed the first time around, Trinites, Puppies, etc., before I go to the final world. My problem is that some of the stuff is in Agrahbah's Cave of Wonders, and for some freaky reason, I've got a giant white Weapon pounding my butt into the sand everytime I try to fly to the Cave! O_O; OK, I'm gonna start it: the compare and contrast time (withholding all spoilers, naturally) Storyline: Disney: Uses the ones from the respective movies, slightly altered. FF: Common "search for yourself" kind of theme going. Complete with the twists usually found in FF games that make them so darn "loveable". Characters: Disney: Nearly 100. FF: About a dozen. Special Items: Disney: The whole scavanger hunt thing is heavily Disney. So's the idea of collecting the same thing again and again (think the Puppies, pages, Trinities, etc.). Trinites are obviously a Disney concept in this game (*has played a few Disney Interactives in her time* >_

OK, here we go, the color version of Fenrir/Kitsune. I don't like the full scale version, because I can see all the mistakes (including some colors I shouldn't have used), but the scaled down (even jpg'd) version, IMO, is nice. Ignore the boy next to Fenrir/Kitsune. He's a WIP, left uncolored because I did NOT like how my coloring was going. And please do not steal Fenrir/Kitsune--this is a concept art I'm sorta kinda proud of. *wishes to goodness that SquareSoft would hire her, somehow, someway*

OFF TOPIC *beats Duo over the head a few times for the first paragraph* *laughs* "Because it looks good" is always one of my character designing reasons. IMO, they botched the young version of Auron, 'cause they editted off the older one, blehh. NomadWandering had a good piccy of an anime chara that looks more like a young Auron than young Auron did. @_@ I know just the FMV you are talking about. I believe my siggy image comes from the FMV where they get warped to Spira (that's Sin behind him, not some pretty cliff). IMO, Tidus looks terrible in the FMVs. It's the one time I prefer a chara to stay in game animation instead of FMV animation. (Let's say FMV a few more times, blehhhh.) BACK ON TOPIC Another thing that was too easy about this game was Anima. Once you got him, it's Insta-Kill everywhere, whee. Even the Tonberrys keel over from him. Actually, that's not so bad...the Tonberrys have been wreaking havoc on my poor charas.

Speaking of disguises, I could dress up as Auron if I wanted to...I'd just have to spraypaint my robe a darker red, attach a nifty shoulder thingy to it, and find me a passable collar thingy. Oh yes, plus get a scar, use a russet colored contact on my blue eyes, and just plain turn into a guy. :p   Those Tonberrys are nifty looking--I love the color on 'em! (The eyes, oooo, the eyes!)

Although the switching out charas thing was immensely helpful, knowing whose turn was going to be next on the turn meter to the right of the screen rather killed most of the elemental of battle--made it real easy to get through the fighting part.
When me and my friends started the game, (this was before we got Jecht spheres) we blamed Auron for Jecht being drunk all the time, I mean a big bottle of Sake strapped to his hip! I reckon him having to look after Tidus converted him into a drunk...
Heh, funny. Maybe he's got the collar to cover up his drunken breath! XD  I wanna know why the heck he carries a sake bottle around, period. You'd think someone would have said something during Braska's journey. [melodramatic]Maybe it has something to do with refusing the priest's daughter's hand, among bits of tragic childhood memories.[/melodramatic] What? It's possible. (So says my fanfic, anyway.)

I remember EB had a Pikachu about that size, also starting at $50. After several month, it dropped down to $20. That's a better price, but you know how hard it is to wait for something you really really want. But that IS beyond awesomeness! Another thing I'd pick is the Chocobo looking creature...it's not called a Chococobo, it's something else, but it's one of Lulu's dolls.

Something that has always kept me in my place when looking at screenshots is: how does this compare to the actual animation? You can look at screenshots all day until your computer crashes, but it will not give you any idea about the animation itself (not even the frame by frame stuff, if you are lucky to find any of that for this game, lol). In this new day and age of advanced video gaming, the programmers are grappling with 3D all over (duh, heh). Too many forget that the main focus should really be whether the character moves realistically; get that down, and then worry about how flashy the chara should be. I've seen too many gorgeous looking charas looking like totem poles attempting to walk, and it's painful to watch. Fortunately, that wasn't a problem in the Zelda series. And I doubt it's going to be a problem for the new game, either. With all that being said, Link's eyes scare me. :nervous:

You mean the music CD? Mmm, I don't keep up with stuff like that... EEE! I can't believe it--I beat it, I beat it, I...hey, wait a minute. Um, scratch that, I didn't beat it. :bluesweat Things are getting very very weird in my version. That's all I can say without spoiling anything. I was half right about the 7 Princesses, and half wrong. I got the logical part right, but the emotional part wrong--if that makes sense. And the story has taken several twists all at once...pardon me whilst I wander away to put my poor dizzy head back on straight...:worried:

Maybe More Spoilers about Auron My guess on his arm is that he busted it in the fall from Yunalesca's attack. But why the "no wear sleeve look" when he was younger? Pffft, goofiest fashion statement I've ever seen. I mean, c'mon, that's the shoulder with the nifty looking shoulder guard thingy and all (that's also the same arm that he doesn't have a glove on). Heh, I guess he learned he should probably start using it after Yunalesca messed him up. I wanna know how he got his scar. Maybe from the Yunalesca fight as well, but how could she have used his sword against him? I guess she could have telekenised it, but it was stuck in the floor pretty hard. And if I was in Yunalesca's position, I'd finish Auron off, instead of letting the bugger wander off to bring the world's saviors. And the huge collar. Maybe there's a scar there as well that would out and out make people think he was a walking dead guy. Any theories on the beads and the jug? He seemed happy go lucky (well, for him, anyway, as far as 25 year olds go) when traveling with Braska and Jecht, so that kills the theory of him being a drunk. :bluesweat (All this stuff I'm writing--makes it look like I hate Auron when I don't--I ADORE the guy!) He's only used it twice, as far as I can see--for the big bubble to recongize him at the beginning FMV and for his Banishing Blade attack (which had me laughing and whining at the same time when I first saw it).

Poor Sem, lol. Yup, I'm in the midst of Hollow Bastion, but since I just picked up another Trinity move, I'm gonna back track (yet again, ugh) to the other worlds. And a suggestion--if you haven't gotten to Monstro yet, do everything the first time around when you do. I know there's a few things I didn't do there, but I can't get back to Monstro. What's the freaking point of having him on the map if he isn't there anymore, anyway?!? *mutters darkly* Methinks I know how the story is gonna play out with the Seven Princesses. I'll let you know (without telling you, thus hiding any potential spoilers) if I am right. ;)

OOC: I'm back, finally! Mom's been using my computer to write this 30 chapter book, O_O And I'm hoping I'm not screwing with what you're doing, Debresko. If I do, I'm really really sorry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Link cups one hand around his mouth as he calls up to the flying creature. "Hey!" He can see the head moving a little, and a small black object falls from it. Given the speed the two are going at, the object quickly falls far behind them; above Link, the winged creature makes a motion for Link to go to it. Curiosity getting the better of him, Link turns Epona around toward the area where the object last fell. It was Auron's shaded glasses. Somehow, he had managed to attach one of the white feathers to the glasses, and marked a note on it:
help
Link raised an eyebrow. "What does that mean? I could take it at its base level, but Auron sure seemed like a weird guy for those few minutes I saw him before Yoshi boy dragged me to Pac Village." Smirking at the memory, Link suddenly wondered if his green friend was ok. Then it hit him. "Hold up--Auron's got wings?! Since when?!" "Since I've been trying to find some way to fix my little problem." "Whoa!" Link was a little embarrassed that Auron overheard him, and wondered just how much Auron had overheard. "These are yours?" Auron took them back silently, and put them on before Link saw the odd Ditto eyes. "So why do you say you need help? Anyone who has wings has it good." "Let's just say I'm not...all here." Link stifled a snort. You can say that again... "Ditto!" Link blinked. "Did you say what I think you just said?" Auron shook his head. "Actually, what you heard? That would be the only thing helping me stay in this world." "Huh?!?" "It's hard enough to work like this, let alone explain it. For now, just know I got a friend with really...odd powers." "Dit!" Auron spread his wings. "Can't stay. I'm searching for a way to fix my problem. Best of luck, Link." "But what about the missing people?" Link called to him. "I cannot help them until I can help myself."

I know what you mean about Sabor. He has that thing where he can leap at you suddenly and take a chunk of health from you while he's at it. There are other characters in future worlds that do that, too. I usually go by the rule of being at a level that is 5 times the number of stars indicated for each world. Which means I have some leveling up to do for the Hollow Bastion. oO And you are also right about the frustrating running back and forth; the Heartless popping up again and again at every step doesn't help much either. It took me 20 minutes to finally empty out this bridge area in Halloween Town before they finally stopped coming (you can't do certain things in certain places (like open up treasure chests)) until your Command menu is blue. And the Heartless were just close enough to keep it red. Finished Neverland last night...and it went surprisingly fast. I think it was because I enjoyed it. Halloween Town, too. Atlantica and Agrabah were just plain annoying until the boss fights.
-
Then they heard it: "BBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!" There was an awful screeching noise, and a young woman with a white lizard on her shoulder ran into view. She stopped and gasped at the scene. "Out of the frying pan, into the fire." The lizard chittered fearfully, as the enormous mother Roc bowled into the area. Roe and Elsyan ducked to one side, as did Kehho and Bip. Completely ignorant of the danger, the rough men faced the bird. "Let's carve this pretty up!" one called, twirling his feather decorated dagger. Others readied their bow and arrows, the shafts also made with feathers. The mother Roc eyed the men, and threw itself into a rage when it saw the feathers. Before they could react, the Roc had already skewered the lead man on one of her massive claws. In response, several of the attackers let loose some arrows, injuring the Roc in her right shoulder. Screeching, she slashed out with her lethal beak, taking down more men as the storm rampaged overhead. The massacre was on.

Well, S.A., I just got to your fav place--and my goodness, but my charas look spazzy. Given that I've been feeling pretty cruddy, physically, I'm gonna call it a night and explore Halloween Town tomorrow. Guillotine Gate--cheerful! :p

OOC: Sorry, now my creative bone seems to be broken. I'm posting for the sake of posting, just to let you know I'm definitely still in...just having writer's block. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bip chirped and ran his white skink tail through Kehho's hair. While it was funny at first, she was getting annoyed with him and brushed him off her shoulder. Trilling angrily, he climbed her long skirt and plopped himself right back on her shoulder; once again, he ran his tail through her hair. "Quit it already, would ya?" she griped, lashing her tail angrily. Bip cowered against her shoulder, his tail drooping. With an audible noise passible as a sad sniffle for a lizard, he slowly let himself down the same way he got up. He then quietly skittered away, glancing back at Kehho every few steps, to see just how upset he was. Kehho giggled to herself; Bip was such a dramatic. As soon as he got hungry enough, he'd come right back. She was sure of it. Growing hungry herself, Kehho took an apple and a chunk of bread from her pack, and munched. Taking a small pewter cup out, she set it on the ground, and conjured a miniscule thundercloud, about the size of her fist. It stormed into the cup until it rained itself out, and Kehho drank greatfully. It wasn't until after Kehho sated her hungry that she began to really get worried about Bip. Standing up and brushing leaves off of her, she called to him. "Bip! Biiiiiiip! Where are you, you scaly troublemaker? Bip!" A large black bird cawed in a high tree branch, but that was all. "Oh Bip..." Kehho moaned. She hated making anyone mad, and given the fact that Bip was all she had in the world now, she was incredibly upset with herself. "Bip, please come out!" The bird cawed once more, then took flight, and flapped away. Kehho decided to look for Bip herself, when there was a startled shriek, and a scurrying noise. The bird was back, cawing very loudly, and diving at a moving object on the ground. In a trice, it had the wriggling object by its tail, and Kehho could clearly see that it was Bip. "BIP!" The albino lizard screamed in a high pitched way, and futilely tried to deflect the bird pecking at it. Kehho took the situation in at a moment. The next moment, the bird was on the ground, frozen solid and dead. The Calith hastily ran to it, searching for Bip. "Please be ok, oh please be ok!" She was in the act of attempting to pry the dead bird's claws open when she felt the familiar tugging weight of Bip non her shoulder. Greatful beyond words, she hugged him gently, and tended to his hurts. After a few minutes of (he thought) well deserved pampering, Bip motioned his head toward the bird and chirped questioningly, almost apprehensively. Upon examination, Kehho understood his concern. They had just killed a baby Roc. Apparentally, it was learning to hunt on its own when it dove at Bip. It would be only a matter of time until one of the parents would come looking for its baby. "And we don't want to be here when that happens," Kehho told Bip, glancing about nervously. They made their way away from the body when a deep throated caw rente the air. Large pines and oaks bent beneath the downdraft of an enormous pair of silvery black wings; sharp talons as large as Kehho's head scratched at the earth, searching for purchase to land. It was the mother Roc. She trailed her lethal beak along the ground, as if sniffing for her baby. She soon found it, cold and unmoving. Nudging it a few times confirmed her worst fear, and she reared up, a sorrowful Roc cry booming from her beak. Bip clicked nervously. The mother Roc instantly snapped her head in the pair's direction. Her yellow eyes glittered, death dancing in them. With a deadly caw, she took a step toward them, stretching her wings high above her in a show of attack. "She's gonna charge!" Kehho screamed.

OK, I really made this for one member in particular (you know who you are! ;)), but I thought I'd share this for the valuable input I can always get here. This is a concept art sketch I did of Fenrir (a wind/earth elemental Wolf Summon seen in FFix and other FFs). If you are wondering why Fenrir has nine tails, it is NOT, I repeat NOT some sort of sick and twisted Poké/Digimon reference; rather, it is a reference to the kitsune (and Digipeeps of old should know what I am talking about). Kitsunes are wise, nine tailed foxes (sometimes pictured as wolves) that can leap into dimensional tears at will, where time flows at their preferred rate. Nifty. Anyways, Fenrir/Kitsune (unsure which I want to call it) is going to be a forest green, with the leaves being varying hues of green. The jagged edges on the ankles and tails are a very light green, almost white; the feet and tail tips black. So, in rating this sketch, and along with the usual commentary, I want to know the following: --what should I fix? (I know I might need to fix the ankles/tail tips) --how would you react if you saw this in your next FF game? (I can dream, can't I? ;))

 Omygosh, what the heck is that red critter on the left?!? *nto a DBZ watcher* 'Cuse me, gonna go hide under my desk now. again

Whoa...lookit all of that...*brain explodes* :naughty:

I think you draw eyes nicely. Personally, I would prefer to see you take another shot at the 3rd page--you have a good pic going there! Nitpick: try not to draw on lined notebook paper. If at all possible, go with blank computer printer type paper. But hey, I started out on lined paper too, so go us! ^-^

OOC again, sorry: Can someone bring me up to date, just a tiny synopsis?

"Well, that's just great," Auron half snarled to himself. "To?" The veteran warrior almost forgot about the blob surrounding his fading body, and grimaced. On Ditto's version of his face, it wrinkled strangely, making him look as if he had been in a bad chemical explosion. "Hmph." "Dit-to?" "I don't supposed you know of anyone who could fix my predicament?" The Pokémon's puzzled squeak confirmed his guess. Sighing, Auron sat on the earth, massaging his forehead with his gloved hand. It didn't offer any comfort, for his glove was really Ditto's representation of it, his forehead also Ditto's. Auron began to feel the first bit of despair, and wondered how the Farplane he had ever gotten involved in this whole mess. Here he was in the middle of nowhere, dissolving away, with no one but a squeaking blob to keep him in one piece. "Dit dit!" Picking up his gilded sword Masamune, Auron roared and stabbed it, longways, into the nearest tree. It cut into the trunk halfway before it stopped. "I'm losing my touch...that tree top would have been lying on the ground a few years ago." the Crimson Warrior murmured before he sagged next to the blade, despair completely overtaking the usually tough warrior. Ditto could tell something was wrong, and tried to cheer Auron up. It lifted his right arm again, forming it into the sword again. "What are you doing?" he growled softly, half heartedly. "Dit!" Ditto forced the body to its feet, and prepared it to take another swing at the tree. "Stop!" "To?" "I already have one Masamune, I told you that!" "Dittoooo..." The formed blade turned back into Auron's right arm. Auron felt a little better, that some somewhat clueless blob was trying its best to help him. That's when the full potential of Ditto's talent hit him. "Hey, blob." "DitTO!" It sounded insulted, and Auron chuckled, not unkindly. "All right...hey, uh, Ditto." "To?" It adopted a sulky kid's tone of voice, still sounded a little insulted, but willing to listen. "Can you make wings?" In answer, two enormous, pearl white angel wings shot out of the back of the red cloak, a few feathers falling from rapidity of it all. Auron was impressed, but had a hard time admitting it. "Hmph. Just glad that that wasn't my real cloak you just tore." So, there were advantages to nearly fading away, after all. "Ditto!" The Pokémon helped to tear the Masamune away from the tree, then used the body to break into a run. When the area was clear enough, Ditto spread the wings, caught an updraft, and the pair were soon lost in the sky. Beneath the forest tops, a figure narrowed his eyes, tracing their path and clenching his weapon tightly. "Looks like the One Winged Angel's got a long lost brother. Well, we'll just have to fix that, won't we."

Oh, the theme song "Simple and Clean" is soooo good! It's been stuck in my brain ever since I heard it during the open FMV. Anyone know who sings the English version? Hey, Rico, I'm about where you are. Following Ariel to her grotto, whee. Now, if all these Heartless would just quit ganging up on me--! As far as summons, "Showtime" (you know who I mean) is the best. The other two I have (dunno if it is the same for everyone) are kinda useless at this point.

Heh heh heh, the motorbike bit--loved that. Try playing it on your PC with the speed at its max...yowza!!! FF7 definitely leads in the mini-game department--raising Chocos was my fab, with FF9's Chocograph in a close second. As far as Triad, Tetra, and Blitz, those games were irritating enough for me to almost throw my system and all out my bedroom window. I actually had to get my bro to help me during the Treno tournament, because the game won't go on until you beat it. Blehh. Wakka just won't get his Legendary Weapon on my version--but you know what I say? Tough.
