Sorry I'm late.. Character name: Chris Redfield Reason for choosing this character: He was the only one left on the list that I had some knowledge of and experience with. Other than that, I think he's just a pretty cool person. My knowledge of this character: Well... the first Resident Evil game I played was Nemesis and that didn't have Chris in it. Now my friend has Resi. for the GCN, and I know that Chris is more limited, having only 6 item spaces with him and he doesn't start off with a gun, so he's a harder character to start off with. I also know he's part of an elite police force called S.T.A.R.S, and that's about it. Starting location of character: Raccoon City

..Remember the spoilers guys, please.

Please try and say you're spoiling something when you are about to say something. Thanks.

Yeah, I agree that they could carry on making offline FF games, but wouldn't it save Square a lot of time and money just to keep updating the old FFXI? It wouldn't appeal to most fans, but doesn't it save us money too?

Would they ever need to make another Final Fantasy game? I mean, they could just keep adding on more stories to Final Fantasy XI (which they most likely will). So it would be almost like another game, what does anyone else think?
Originally posted by Zidane I dont actually think they aimed to copy of Square.
What do you mean? They did aim to copy Square, it is Buster Sword, it said on the site URL.
-
... Well stuff that, I'm saving up for a sword anyway. After all the reserved copies are gone, what's left for us who haven't reserved it? Hybrid: You only bought Iowa 'cause Neil has it and he's cool.
Originally posted by James I mean, think about it. Mostly, if you start shooting and you shoot for long enough (even with just a sniper rifle), your wanted level immediately rises and the cops seem to know where you are. It's not very realistic.
Yeah, I agree there. Usually snipers are hidden and when you shoot someone who is really far away from you, you'd think that the police wouldn't notice. It seems as your criminal record goes up (from pickpocket, to bully, etc.) the police are on your tail for the slightest thing. It could be something as small as punching someone, or even firing a gun, not at anyone. It gets real hard when your criminal record is up high. I think they should add more sniper points in Vice City I mean, yeah rooftops are always good, but (as James has said) in trees or laying in long grass, just to add more realism.

The Buster Sword is alot wider than that sword anyway.. and it's too shiny, the real deal has been used alot by Cloud so it looks scratched.. I mean, come on, they have to put the effort in if they want people to buy them.
Originally posted by Desbreko From what I've heard, you can play FFXI decently with a 56K connection. Of course it's going to be a lot better with a cable modem or DSL or some type of broadband, but it's not actually required. It'll probably just run a bit slow sometimes.
Ahh good, *hugs new broadband* I'm glad I got this ^-^
-
Do you really need broadband to play FFXI though? I just heard that it was alot easier (or you needed) to use broadband. I have it, but not that many people have it at the moment.

That's.. not what I meant.. I meant if the plane was as easy to fly as the car is as easy to drive.. if you get what I mean. Basically if you got in the plane you could fly it straight away with no practice.
-
I'm also quite shy and quiet around people I don't know. But as for people I know, I'm as random and crazy as I am on AIM ^-^; EDIT: BabyGirl calls it an "explosive personality" she said it's a good thing to have so :p
-
Maybe it doesn't suck if you know how to fly it then, lol. But I think in Vice City there should be an plane that is easier to fly, like car. The problem with a plane is you don't just have right, left, forwards and backwards.. you have that plus up and down..

I think it's true, because if you look at the Roy trophies. one of them says "FUTURE RELEASE" where it said what game it appeared in. So I'm pretty sure that there will be a Fire Emblem coming out for the GCN in the rest of the world apart from Japan.
Originally posted by James How on earth is that stuff even possible with the Dodo? I don't have the time to really sit there and learn all the nuances of the Dodo...I'd rather just hop in a plane and go for it. lol
Lol, the Dodo sucked, it was completely uncontrollable.
Originally posted by James Yes! Exactly! I really like the free roaming environment in GTAIII...even now, I still play the game and just muck around. But GTA:VC seems to be going so much further. The ability to use aircraft is a truly awesome feature...and the apparent lack of loading time for different parts of the city is also extremely welcome. Can you imagine how cool it'd be to fly a helicopter down into the street and hover over the cars...or better yet, direct the chopper into a big line of traffic and jump out at the last minute? I don't know if the latter is possible, BUT I do know that you can jump out of moving vehicles now. So imagine the possibilities when it comes to using aircraft...*drool*
Yeah, and hopefully the plane can be a bit easier to fly this time. The Dodo was a hunk of crap. ;) I like the idea of like "fighting" the police while you're in the air, I think it will be such a cool game.

Ami: So where are we going to get the pretty clothes for me? Rasanak: I'm not quite sure, we've gone too far to turn back and go to some shops now. Luca: Hmm.. where would we find dresses in this place..? The three thinked. Rasanak: I got it! Ami: Wha? Where can you get them from? Rasanak: Well... you know that there is normally a half time act in between the two halves of the game? There are sure to be some pretty ladies who perform in that act, so they must have costumes to wear. Luca: And where do we find these? Rasanak: The changing rooms! Ami:Let's go then.. The three of them walked off to find the changing rooms in the huge inner part of the stadium.

It's not going to be like the other games, in fact I have a feeling that it may be totally different. I mean, it's an online game, you'll have the chance to interact with other people playing the game at the same time as you, which will be a very new addition to the series.
Originally posted by James I've always wanted the ability to use aircraft. Simple as that. GTA: Vice City seems to be much more "aircraft focused"...so someone's answering my prayers. ^_^
Yeah, on GTAIII you could blow helicopters up, see them and walk past them on top of bulidings but you never got to do anything with them.. 'part from blow them up..
Originally posted by BlueGender You will be able to use the Delorian (Back to the Future) to travel through time.
... That sounds... interesting. Are you sure that is true?

This sounds like such an improvement on GTAIII, all this little details like shooting out tyres, bailing out of cars and shooting from helicopters will make this game a hell of a lot more fun than GTAIII (which was very fun anyway ^^). One thing that I hope GTA:Vice City will not have is those damn glitches.. they're annoying, but funny as hell. One was if you jumped onto the hospital roof (2nd island) and walked to the left wall you end up in this weird room, you can see cars going by under you but there is no floor, there are loads of psychadellic colours flashing around, then you carry on walking and drop through any random place in the game.. ^^ it's very delightful.
