I don't know why their not considered metal exactly but if a metal fan hears you call them that...they get mad...really really mad. They ripped this poor kids to shreds once. An opportunity to ramble on about slipknot? Oh goody. Thanks Jake.(prepared to agitated!). Slipknot is my favorite Nu-Metal band. They have really tough riffs and can get you super pumped for whatever your doing. A lot of people make fun of the vocals because you can't understand them...well these people should try to decipher what As I Lay Dying is trying to say and then talk to me. Loud does not equal hard to understand it just equals loud. Anyway I like the lyrics they write as well. I can relate since I am an angsty teen and it seems to be aimed at angsty teens.

Do you think it is possible to be allergic to a metal band? I was listening to Electric Wizard after school today and I felt really sick. About 20 minutes after I stopped all better. Weird no?

Has there ever actually been a good naruto game lately? All the ones I have played were crap. actually pretty much everything about the franchise save the manga is crap. To each his own I guess. The game will probably sell to the giant mob of mindless naruto fans who will buy it out of necessity.

Mastadon sounds OK to me. I got them mixed up with Gogoroth(sp?) once and said they really sucked. Oh and I listened to Amon Amorath on the school bus today. And guess what? I couldn't hear all the trash music that the other annoying kids played! W00t! @Jake: I haven't listened to a whole lot of their songs but a\ll the ones I have heard sound different to me. Although you probably have a considerably better ear for that sort of thing than me. Oh and I listened to one song from candlemass. I didn't really like the vocals. But I guess I will try more and see if it grows on me.

Hmm why was I dissing Death metal before. Oh yea that's right whenever I think of death metal I think of Cannibal Corpse. I guess I had a mind fart and thought one terrible band was a whole genre. Dragonforce has awesome instrumentals but the vocals are just ugh for me. That's why I find it hard to listen to them. It's sorta like that with old Avenged Sevenfold albums too for me. The vocals are just ugh but the other instruments are great. that's why I like their new albums but that doesn't count as metal so bleh. What are you guys opinions on Meshuggah? I just recently started listening to them and I think they sound pretty awesome. The vocals aren't trash which is a major plus and I love how they mesh the guitar and bass to sound uh awesome. Oh yea can someone name a good Folk Metal band? I haven't heard anything that I didn't think was terrible yet. Although all I have listened to is Finntrol(sp?)l.

I have another question. If someone called Sludge Metal the bottom of the barrel metal wise would that be negative or positive? I mean the sludge is worst at the bottom of the barrel right? Edit: Wow the art and imagery of Electric Wizard is awesome. They have stuff from like Legit Satan worship. Slayer wishes it was this cool. Although it's more based off of acid taking.

The kids at my school listen to basically go-go (a local thing) poser pop rock(fall out boy ect...) and very little rap. Usually the only rap they listen to is the kind with an electronic beat. So if the rapper ripped off daft punk it's "hot in the streets." I tried to let one kid listen to what I listen too on a daily basis. So I went ahead and let them hear some Naglfar(aka the light stuff) and that person thinks I am possessed by Satan. Oh and I disagree with Groove Metal being the lowest on the spectrum. I think that would be death metal. I mean a whole genre with vocals that sound like static and a toilet flushing? Gimme a break. Unless that doesn't cout nas metal now... Oh and I like some metalcore stuff. I mean I like a few of avenged sevenfolds old songs. Also there are a few mathcore bands I like.

I just started listening to Electric Wizard. I thought they would be some faggy doom metal band but they actually turned out to be a pretty decent sludge metal band. They are like a a southern version of acid bath but slower and on acid rather than speed. I know I will probably be ridiculed by everyone for liking them but who gives a ****.
