"I think the bullet is too deep to find right now, he'll have to undergo surgery." Bailey was kneeling next to the injured Dragon, trying to calm his struggle after arriving at the scene to find a slaughter of Triad forces and a confident Katarina weilding two guns. The Dragon's face was contorted as he writhed painfully beneath her hands, muttering curses in a language that she didn't understand, "You'll be all right." Bailey said in a low voice, though unsure of the truth in her own statement. Rae approached the pair and handed Bailey a medic kit, "This is the best that the van had to offer." "Thanks, that'll work." Bailey shoved stray hairs away from her forehead where they clung to the sweat on her brow, "This humidity is a killer." She muttered as she rummaged through the kit supplies. "I'm going to go check on the rest of the team. I'm not sure how much longer we can safely hang around this place." And Rae reemerged into the building. "There's nothing in here that I can use to help this guy." Bailey directed her comment toward no one, but Katarina had turned to look at her after hefting Malania off of the ground, "You are too zoft." Insulted, Bailey stood up and cocked her head, "I'm sorry?" Katarina nodded her head in the direction of the felled Dragon, "I ziad that you zhould be carrying out zee mission rather zhan wasting your time with him." Bailey felt an old feeling of defensiveness creeping into her body and she bristled at the comment. It was an old reflex from her days of living on the street, and back then they never just left anyone on their side alone. As far as Bailey was concerned, even though she didn't know the man, he was still doing the same job as her and the rest of their team, "That may be." She chilled her voice, a hint of her French accent flirting along the edges of her words, "But he is still a fallen commrade, and I watch out for them." But Katarina didn't have a chance to reply as the sound of close gunfire interrupted the conversation.
2.
Originally posted by Artemis Sex creates such a strong bond that, whether you realize it or not, will last forever.
Well, this is true with the right person, but this is also what society/religion tells you. I'm not so sure you should make said statement without actually [and personally] knowing whether it does or not. I agree that sex is our animal nature. It's our character, will, morals, and society that define how good or 'bad' sex is, or whether or not it's for us. I think the general issue here is that sex is a very personal choice, and that neither side should chastize the other for doing what they believe in. However, I guess that if that were the case, there woudln't be so many firey debates about it all. I'm glad this one is civilized :P
3. Rainbow Brite was my HERO. I must have seen every episode ever made, but I sadly do not remember anything about them. I wish they would release a DVD set of the series, that would be the ultimate best day. I believe that I sold both my Rainbow Brite doll and my horse plushie, whose name evades me. My friend owns the tape of the very first Rainbow Brite episode where her name isn't Rainbow Brite but some other weird name, and she gets the name Rainbow Brite by saving the world and its color. That's when she first meets Twink, too. Thinking about it all takes me back ^_^
4.
Originally posted by Artemis I just think people should know a bit more about what their gettin' into beforehand.
That's a very valid point, and probably something that only a small majority of people who have premarital sex do think about. Ok, knowing that I am one of the few people here who does have sex....yes. I should tread lightly because I don't want to end up getting worked up over ignorant opinions by people many years my junior. However, my decision to have premarital sex was exceptionally special for me. My boyfriend of 1+ year and I both shared in our first experience with each other, and it was amazing. There's something extremely special [ignore the overuse of the word] about knowing that we waited for each other, despite having had past [and sometimes serious] relationships. It also helps to know that we're dedicated to each other, and that there's the unspoken bond that makes us both best friends. Sex, to me, is more than a sexual act. It's a loving thing, it makes both of us feel like we share something with each other and no one else gets to have that part of us. It's reserved for us, and only us, that's why it's so beautiful. I think that the reservations that the United States holds about sex border on ridiculous. It bothers me that it is stereotyped as a shameful act when instead it can be a wonderful thing that two people share. It's sad that people hold bias against others who engage in premarital sex, rather than accepting it and understanding that it is their choice. I don't like people who preach to me about, that bugs me more than anything. Ok, that's what I have to say for now. I'm sure more will come with later replies.
5. Hahaha, Tori, that "good job" written on the bottom left of your beautiful drawing, is that the same guy who wrote "can I look like her" on the sketch page you sent me? That just cracks me up, hee ^____^ P.S. Shinobi, the Godfather theme music totally set the mood, very nice ;)
6. This morning Ventura is exceptionally smokey. The fire that burned its way through Santa Clarita last night is right at the border of Ventura/Los Angeles County, and we're just a few towns over. The mountains are blocked from view by the smoke, and when I walked out to my car this morning, I found it covered with ash. I can't believe the air quality to be too healthy right now, which is unfortunate because I am already coughing myself to death with this cold :P However, I think things are looking up for the fires. The winds have died down and it's cooling off finally. I wonder how long it will really take to get the whole thing under control. Being a small town Midwestern girl, California has been nothing but one huge adventure for me o_o

Is it morning, or is it night? I cannot tell now :p. So...I'm assuming it's still nighttime, and therefore that's what I shall write about. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bailey had a lot of thoughts swirling around inside of her head. She had been lying awake on her small, uncomfortable bed, wondering where Rae was so late at night, and had heard a splintered crash issue from Liam's room down the hall. She felt for him and his loss, and felt equally as bad for casuing him to bring up the subject in the first place. She wasn't one who liked to watch other people suffer over their past, after all, she did too, didn't she? Realizing that she was no where close to slumber, Bailey rolled off of her bed and decided to see if the crash she had heard earlier had signified someone being in danger. When she reached Liam's room, she heard Zharra speaking with him and decided it would be better not to iterrupt. She merely wanted to make sure that everyone was ok...and when it came to the line of work she was now involved in, that was certainly the biggest flaw in her character. She liked people too much. Save Liam and Zharra, no one else seemed to be hanging around the hallway where their rooms were located. With her Beretta holstered, Bailey thought it would be better for her to get some air and re-evaluate what exactly she had gotten herself into with SYF. If she came to the conclusion that saving the world through violence wasn't for her, she could always revert back to her life of street crime...but the thought stank of sarcasm. [stunk? oh the silly English language.] As she turned the corner into a hallway leading away from their rooms, Bailey collided with Rae. "Egh, I'm sorry Rae. Small corridors." She offered her a smile. Rae shrugged, "Happens all the time." As she started back down the direction from which Bailey had just come without another word, Bailey noticed her slight slump of fatigue. "Rae," she sighed and turned to face Bailey, "are you all right?" "Just peachy, darling." "I-" Bailey stopped herself from bringing up the incidents that had happened during the mission, hardly wanting to rub salt in anyone else's wounds, "is there anywhere to get some air around here?" Rae paused, thinking it over, "Past the mess hall turn left and follow it until it dead ends. There will be a fire door on your right, take the stairs and it will lead you to the roof." Bailey smiled, genuinely grateful, "Good things come from running into people, I suppose." "Just don't tell anyone," Rae called over her shoulder as she moved further down the hall, "used to be one of my secret spots." "Thanks again." And Bailey set out to breath something other than stale air.
8.
Originally posted by Xyandar Im hearing that 2 people started it.. but i dont know how people can start that big of a fire...
Well, there's more than one fire. There's three in San Diego County alone. The San Diego/Cedar fire was started by a hunter who was lost, fired a flare, and ended up lighting brush on fire. The whole thing spiraled out of control. The Piru fire in Ventura County is proved to be an arson case where someone intentionally started it. Why someone would want to do that is beyond me. I'm unsure about the other fires, but in this type of weather with the Santa Ana winds, basically anything could cause a big flare up like the ones going on now.
9. I have one scent that may seem a little bit odd: my cat. For some reason I like to bury my nose in my cat's insane amount of fur around her neck [she's a long haired cat] and smell. She just smells like my cat ^_^. I guess it's one of those scents that doesn't necessarily smell good, but it holds lots of good nostalgia when sniffed. Psh, yes, I know it's strange. I also love the smell of these four candles that I first bought when I moved into my first apartment in Ventura. The smell of them reminds me of the first couple of months of college and the late nights when I was just getting to know Erik. Their scents just bring back good memories :) I'm a big fan of scents that bring back memories of times, places, and people. Those are always my favorite things to smell.
10.
Originally posted by RicoTranzrig In a way, a person who changes sexes denies themselves because they follow what society is telling them. "If you act this way, you must look like this..." Which is crazy.
I think that is a great thought, and it definitely raises other issues having to do with the whole sex change conglomerate. Unlike most people it seems, I personally don't find the thought of sex changes disturbing. I am a firm believer in people being allowed to do what they want to their own bodies within the boundaries of the law. What I do find sad, however, is that some people really do feel as though they should have been born as the opposite sex. I remember reading an article on it a long time ago, and it seemed like the magazine supported their decision to 'become' the opposite sex 100%. It's not the sex change idea that bothered me, but the idea that, at one point, these people got insanely confused by either psychological trauma or...simply by chance? So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not the procedure that rubs me the wrong way, but the entire psychological idea behind it. It just seems to me that, at one point in their lives, these people who feel they should be the opposite gender suddenly went completely [psychologically] astray.
11. When D'Ann arrived with Charles in tow three hours later, Jenna decided that enough residents were home to call an evening meeting. Cell phone numbers were exchanged, and she strongly recommended that everyone who didn't currently own one to get one. Tori presented her idea for waitress costumes, and it was accepted with some minor changes by a majority of the female house members. More job positions were debated and decided, and by the end of the meeting as the sky was blushing red with sunset, Jenna left them all with promise of finding a few prospective venues the following day. As people filed out of the room, Jenna stretched out in her oversized leather chair and let the golden hour sun bask her skin in its beautiful orange glow. She must have been worn out from swimming earlier in the day, but Jenna didn't remember falling asleep. When she awoke, the darkness of the house seemed to envelope her like a dark velvateen blanket. It was quiet, eerily so, and the patio lights were the only ones that illuminated the high ceilinged living room. The clock atop the fireplace clicked loudly in the silence, it's face revealing the time; 10:45 pm. She had been asleep longer than she thought. Figuring that the rest of the house was still recovering from jet lag and adjusting to the new time zone, Jenna waited until her body fully awoke from its sleepy state. Her contacts blurred her vision as they always did after a nap, and as she padded barefoot across the cold tiled kitchen, she closed her eyes tightly in several attempts to clear them. As the front door clicked open, Jenna assumed someone was returning from their night out and went to greet them. She fumbled for a light switch, but still being unfamiliar with the house, she gave up and rounded the corner toward the foyer. The entryway was moonlit, and as the door closed a shadow was through across the polished floor. Jenna glanced at it, trying to determine who it belonged to when the silhouetted [ok, i can't spell that word] figure startled at the sight of her. "Hey," she smiled in the darkness to greet whoever it was, but as she turned to search for a lightswitch again, she felt a shove from behind and the hard marble floor came rushing up to meet her. Stunned, Jenna hardly felt the pain settling into her hip and shoulder before her vision winked out and she faded into blackness.
12. There are fires burning in Fillmore, Simi Valley, and Moorpark right now, which are actually just east of where I live in Ventura. However, I'm not too concerned that these fires are going to rage over the hills that separate Ventura [a beach town] from the more desert-esque areas inland. I can see how these fires start, though, it hasn't rained in months. I personally can't remember the last time that it rained...it was before I went home for summer vacation, I believe. All of the hills are brown, and they're especially brown inland where it gets 20-30 degrees hotter than it ever does in Ventura. In the end, however, again....I'm not concerned about these certain fires reaching my city. The worst thing that we've got right now is a smoke layer floating around over the sun, makes the air look dirty and hazy. I think that the fires close to here will be contained before they even try to reach Ventura. Edit: I guess that Gray Davis included our county, Ventura County, on the list of four counties who are in a state of emergency. But Ventura County is pretty big, and includes six large cities, Moorpark being one of those. I guess that's why we're on the list ^_^;
13. Awesome idea Shy and James! P.S. Shy, I hope that all is well with you in your hometown with the wildfires!!! ~~~~~~~~~ Real Name: Lelia Angelo Callsign: Fallen Angel Age: 25 Gender: Deliciously Female Alliance: Adam's Angels [Original Angel] Biography: Lelia was born in the heart of Rome and straight into the Italian mob. When Lelia was 3 and her parents perished in fiery mob fashion, she was taken in by her Uncle Aldo. He was an awkward foster parent, often forgetting about the young girl and abandoning her to complete violent tasks. As she got older, Lelia also got curious. She started to follow Uncle Aldo out at night when she turned 7, and began to secretly learn the true nature of her crime laden family. When her uncle discovered that she had been following him, Aldo figured that it would be worth it to introduce another member of the Angelo family onto their side of things. And so Lelia became the youngest -and only active female- member of the Angelo family's mafia. In turn, she was shunned by the older males of the family, and they often ganged up on her. At the age of 13, one of her cousins beat her so severely that she was unconscious for three days. Two weeks later, this particular cousin was found dead after drinking a bottle of wine that was laced with poison. Lelia had found her first glorious moment of revenge. As the years progressed, Lelia grew strong, cunning, and deadly with a pistol. She posessed a mind for business, strategy, revenge, and her sadistic side was encouraged by her increasingly proud Uncle Aldo. For, certainly, Lelia had proved to be one of their most valuable assets to date. However, secrets started to get spilled as she investigated a past she could hardly remember, and Lelia eventually discovered that her parents had been killed by her Uncle Gorgio, the head of the mafia and her father's eldest brother. 16, immaculately trained, and dangerous, Lelia swore vengeance for her parent's wrongful murder. She eliminated a large ring of her own family members, including her Uncle Aldo who, despite his support for her, had been one of the main proprietors of the crime. She turned to Rome's underground in order to hide from the sliver of the Angelos she had failed to kill, and from the Italian authorities who were undoubtedly aiding the mafia's searches. Eventually, at age 17, Lelia escaped to Japan where her dark physical characteristics helped her fade into the scenery. She worked at what jobs she could find, and when she stumbled across a man named Adam who had need for a new personal bodyguard, she jumped at the chance. During her first week on the job, Lelia prevented Adam's death against incredible odds, and the contract was sealed. She took on the nickname 'Adam's Angel', and as more female bodyguards were brought on board, she dubbed them all the 'Adam's Angels' who are so infamous today. Personality: Quick to kill, uncompromising, loyal and extremely intelligent. Lelia is quick witted and enjoys good humor, and she is known for being stubborn if she believes that her way is the better way [and it often is]. She can also be short with the other Angels, but protects them as though they are her family. Weapon: Leila owns several pairs of stainless steel scissors, all varried in size and length, but she most often carries the pair with 6" blades. They all have customized hand grips, and all of the grips are different colors. Each pair has one blade engraved with her call symbol, a simple block cross, and below it, a naked fallen angel. Lelia is also well-trained in street fighting and hand to hand combat [which comes in handy when she has a run in with a someone weilding a much longer blade]. Picture: Lelia always wears a trademark silver cross necklace that doubles as a digital locator of sorts. Holy Jesus, I loved Kill Bill. Just thought that everyone should know that :D
14. I think that, as a child, I was ignorant to how badly my childhood was interrupted when my brother was born. I never really thought anything of how hard it was dealing with a disabled newborn brother when I was six, but as I got older and started to get moody, my parents pointed it out. It's funny how psychology works on such unconscious levels. During my teen years I was always angry and volatile, which may have been a result of being a materially spoiled child and one who didn't get enough attention when he brother was born...who knows. All I know is that, whenever I'd think about how I was affected by living with a brother with cerebral palsy, I'd get so upset. I still can't find the root of my sadness about it, but at least I'm aware that it affected me so deeply. Now if only I knew why ^_^;. In many ways I think I'm still a child in denial of his recent death. Buh. But thinking about my childhood in general, it was great. I agree with Jesus Chicken about how being a kid is all about the imagination and the mystery that surrounds everything in life that you don't quite yet understand. It made things much more playful and hopeful. I used to always get what I wanted from my parents, I was so spoiled! But I don't like to share my things now because I never had to share them with anyone when I was young. I was one of THOSE kids who got mad if someone took her toys...brat.

16. I'm surprised that swear words [or cuss, whatever] aren't introduced into high school earlier. In college instructors are really allowed to use whichever cuss word they choose, and nobody thinks twice about it. I've heard endless useage of the 'S word' [gasp] and the 'F word' [double gasp] from my instructors...it doesn't bother me at all. Yes, now that I think about it, my high school teachers should have cussed more. It would have made life more interesting, much more spicy and fun.

Bailey had lost herself in the pleasant company of the three boys. When she realized with a jolt that she had been gone for a half an hour, she jumped up, thanked the boys, and hurried down the hall. She didn't really know where she was going, so she tried to place certain markings in the hallways to help locate herself. It took longer than she had hoped, but her natural knack for direction had enabled Bailey to find her way back to their shared rooms. When she found Rae sitting on her bed, bags packed, Bailey was supremely embarrassed. "Where did you get lost?" Bailey set to work quickly shoving items into her duffle back, "I got sidetracked." "Liam was looking for you. We need to leave now that you're back." Bailey heard the unintentional slap of guilt in Rae's words, and she quickened her pace, "I'm sorry." Rae studied Bailey as her roommate finished zipping up her belongings. She realized that Liam was likely to be short with the newest recruit, so she capped her own annoyance as she stood up and stretched, "Hey, don't let Liam get to you if he's at all upset about you being late. He means well, he just wants to get everything done right and on time." Bailey looked up and gave Rae a grateful smile, "Thanks, Rae. I feel like the biggest idiot rookie right now." "It happens. I'll have to tell you some of my stories some time." Liam burst suddenly into the room, eyes fixing on Bailey, "You're alive." She gave him a dazzling smile, "And well." "And ready." Rae pitched in. "Good!" He let out a deep breath of air, "Let's get a move on. We're already behind schedule." With one last steely look at Bailey, Liam burst out of the room just as noisily as he had burst in.
18. "Take your time." Jenna called after D'Ann, completely empathetic to her situation. Jenna had days where days where even certain peoples' voices struck a nerve, sending her into an irritable slump. "Hello to you, too." Jordan muttered as D'Ann slammed the door behind her. "Oh, we all have our days." Jenna waved it off and started toward the pool deck out back, "How many people are home?" She called out rather loudly, letting her voice echo through the open foyer and drift up past the open upstairs hallway. When no one responded, Ellie pointed to Ken and herself, "Well we are." Jenna grinned, "Thanks. At least somebody here can speak. I think I'm going to head out and check on the cleanliness of the pool and then take a dip in it myself. If anyone cares to join me, feel free. As soon as D'Ann gets back with our resident felon I want to have a meeting. Things need to get straightened out and cell phone numbers need to be passed around." "What if someone is cellphoneless?" Tori raised an eyebrow, her sketches tucked under one arm. "I'm afraid that it's going to become a priority to have a cell phone now." And with that said, Jenna exited to her room to change into her bathing suit. When she found Justin had fallen asleep, open book lying on his chest, she jumped on him noisily, "Come swimming." "Agh," Justin swatted her away groggily and rolled over. "Hey sleepy man," Jenna poked his shoulder, "get up." As he made a few more unintelligible sounds, she used the bounce of the bed to propel herself onto the floor. She decided to be curteous to her roommate and change in the bathroom, saving him from any unwanted or unexpected voyeurism. ~~~ The pool looked beautiful. It was set in ground and modeled after the shape of a large lima bean. Jenna fished out what stray leaves had fallen into the shimmering blue water and tested the chlorine level. She figured that growing up with a pool and being forced to help her dad maintain it was now paying off as a handy skill. The water temperature was perfectly lukewarm as Jenna slipped into it, pushing off of the pool's wall and gliding like a mermaid through the water. When she came up for air, Justin's grinning face greeted her, "'Lo little fish." "Are you going to join me? Water's fine." "Nah, but it amuses me to do this." As he finished the sentence, Justin reached down and pushed Jenna's head playfully under the water. "Bastard." Jenna sputtered as she resurfaced, grabbing the side of the pool with one hand and his arm with another. Her attempt to pull him in was an obvious failure, seeing as how he saw it coming. "Nice try, little fish." He laughed as he escaped her grasp and hurried back toward the French doors that led to their room, "Better luck next time!" Before he could disappear, Jenna hurled a handful of water and thoroughly soaked the seat of his pants. She smirked at her victory and resubmerged herself into the water.

'Kitted up'? Crazy Australian lingo...I'm glad I at least know what that means :p ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Yes," Bailey hid a smile behind her hand as the corners of her eyes crinked up in delight, "you'd never even guess that this was a youth force." "Never." Replied Rae seriously, shaking her head in agreement. Bradley finished his rounds and flopped back down into his chair, "I must have missed the part of the rules where it said having fun was against the rules." They laughed at the joke and Bailey threw Liam a sidelong glance, "Liam just doesn't care about breaking them, aparently." "Isn't that the truth." Rae chided, rolling her eyes in his general direction. "Well I'm satiated." Bailey stood and picked up her tray, "I'm going to go figure this place out." She waved a hand next to her head, signifying that she wanted to explore the headquarters. "Don't get too lost." Bradley said as he thought about the overwhelming complication of navigating around the building. She grinned, wryly, "Well that'd just be a part of the adventure." ~~~ Bailey was in the mood to meet people. Well, then again, wasn't she always? She already found great pleasure in being around her fellow agents which was a really good sign. No one seemed too pretentious, something that she had expected a lot more of. Bailey figured that misconception came from the fact that most of the people she had started out training with had come from different, much more elite backgrounds than her and had done everything in their power to let everyone else know. She knew that if it hadn't been for her personality and charm, she probably would have been set aside as the group outcast. As Bailey turned down a random hall, she smiled at the irony that had befallen her fellow trainees. She and one other male were the only ones who had completed the full training, and both of them had come from the same juvenile detention center. The three other trainees who had come from a long, ancestoral line of elite agents hadn't been tough enough to finish. She hadn't realized it at the time, but years of living by the law of the unforgiving Parisian streets had hardened her tolerance far beyond that of many other people her age. As she turned down another hall, Bailey got the sense that she was falling deeper and deeper into the back of the complex. As she made her way along the hard tiled floor, she heard voices and raucous laughter echoing along the walls. When she found its source, Bailey took a small intake of breath at the delight of it, "Hello, care if I join you?" The attention of the three males, that Bailey judged to be roughly 18 and 19, instantly shifted from the TV screen to her. When they simply looked at her in wonderment, she stepped inside the room, "I noticed the video games." One of them laughed at the silence that had fallen over the room with the girl's random arrival, "Sure, come on in. We're not on duty this week so we're holing up in front of this evil TV. Mind if I ask who you are?" "I'm Bailey," she extended a hand to the one who had spoken, "and I'm a big video game junkie."

So, if I may be so inclined to ask you to stop, even if your animosity toward each other is minimal...it still sounds ridiculous. ----------------------- After her shower, Bailey secured the small, thin towel around her body and started to dig through her bag of clothes. As she bent over to pull out a pair of dark, form-fitting jeans, the door to the room swung open and Rae breezed inside. "Oh," becoming aware that her bare rear end was facing the door, Bailey grinned, "I think you just saw my ***." Rae brushed it off with a flick of her wrist, "It happens." Liam, face half covered with shaving cream, had been following Rae into the room and blushed slightly at the incident, "Sorry." He gave Bailey an apologetic smile. "Don't worry, Liam, you're not the first male to lay eyes upon it." She watched his blush deepen, and she decided to drop it, "Did your bottle of shaving cream decide to attack you?" "No," Rae pulled her hair out of the ponytail and headed for the bathroom, "I caught him shaving with my knife, so I hit him with some verbal assault and stole it back from him." "Well I couldn't find my razor, what else was I supposed to do?" Rae reappeared from the bathroom and tossed a travel razor at Liam, "Here." He caught it and stared, "It's pink." "With pink daisies on the handle." Rae winked and then locked the bathroom door behind her. As the sound of the shower filled the room, Liam looked back up at Bailey. She was clad only in a thin white towel, her wet golden hair tumbling over the front of it. Liam cleared his throat, as Bailey studied him with a curious smile, "I'll let you get dressed now." And he escaped without another word.
23. At the sound of the doorbell, fully clothed and fully clean after a hot shower, Jenna bounded enthusiastically across the foyer. Her mood this morning was one of utter contentment. She pulled open the door with both hands, leaning backwards so as to compensate for its weight. As she focused on the handsome male figure there, she raised an eyebrow, "Rarr." Jordan cocked his head, "Um...grr?" Jenna laughed and threw her arms around his neck, "Hello good lookin'." A bit flustered by the sudden affection, Jordan reluctantly gave her a hug, "Hello, Jenna." "You're late, you know." She teased. He scratched his neck and Jake spoke up with his own happy bark, "Well I did have to drive from Michigan, you realize this." "Oh!" Jenna spotted the grinning lab and kneeled down to scratch his ears, "He's adorable." Jordan looked down at her and grinned, "He's an old man, my Jake." "Well as long as he gets along with cats and ferrets, I'd say he'll fit in just perfectly here." She gave him one last pat on the head and invited Jordan inside, "Do you have stuff that needs to be unloaded? I can help if you need it." He shrugged, "Thanks, but I'll get it eventually." He let Jake off of his leash and the dog went scampering around the house, eager to sniff out his new enviornment. Jenna eyed the dog's departure, and then threw Jordan a critical glance, "He better not mess with my cat or it's you who is going to hear about it."
24. I would totally undo everything that I have said or done that has hurt the people that I love. I would also take back all of the times that I ignored my brother while he was still alive, I would spend waaaaay more time with him now! Funny how life works like that, Joni Mitchell really knew her stuff when she sang 'You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone." Ah, she's a lyrical goddess :whoops:

SYF:

She didn't really realize it was morning. The room was an inky black, and Bailey found herself sweating underneath a light thermal blanket. The green digital clock to the left of her head glared brightly into her light-sensitive eyes, and Bailey winced as she turned to look at it. 6:37 AM. Throwing the blanket off of her heated body, Bailey lay still on her back, listening to Rae's quiet breathing three feet away. Would she allow herself to admit that she was anxious about her first mission? Bailey wondered if the others were skeptical about her own abilities, but she didn't doubt herself in the capability arena. She had grown up as a delinquent case. After her father had been killed and her mother went mad, she and her brother had been in and out of foster homes. Bailey soon found herself among the roughest crowds, partaking in a high number of offensive illegalities. She could hotwire cars, she could snake an entire store's money under the velvet blanket of night, she had been charged guilty of posession...the list went on for paragraphs. Luckily enough for the troubled Bailey Carlmine, someone had taken a keen interest in her skills and abilities. That had brought her to SYF, and it probably saved her a life time of swinging in and out of jail. For her first year of training, Bailey had quickly accepted the teaching methods and was eager to change the path of her future. The agents that she trained under didn't seem to trust her for that first year, but she supposed it was simply standard protocol for deliquents with long lists of ciminal offenses. During the past two years she had acceled far beyond what anyone previously thought her capable of, and that knowledge alone kept her feet grounded and her mind focused on orders. She wasn't about to screw up again and get tossed back out into the world, unable to find real work. Glancing at the clock again, Bailey broke from her reverie and decided to head toward the shower; after a hot and humid night under the blankets, she certainly deserved one.
