yup... I think so, so don't even try it.... That sounded harsh... sorry... but it had to be said ;) I believe the test forum was taken down because there was no real use for it.. lots of people just made threads saying 'test'... and also, if you're testing an avatar or sig, it appears in all your previous posts straight away...

I read this at newscientist.com about a week ago.. I'm not sure if anyone else has heard about it, but essentially it means that PS2 chips not only void the PS2s warranty, but they are also illegal.... not that it matters to me.. never liked the damn things anyway-- here goes:
1- Sony has won its court case against a British company that modifies PlayStation 2 games machines so they play imported discs and copies. The wording of the judgement, now released by the British High Court, sets a far-reaching precedent that Hollywood can use to stop people modifying DVD players so that they play imported movie discs. Sony has split the PS2 world into three regions, Japan, the US, and countries in Europe and Australasia that use the PAL TV system. Discs and players contain electronic check Codes, which they compare before playing a game. The codes let the player reject unauthorised copy discs. In 2001, Sony sued three companies that were selling "mod chips". These chips let a PS2 play a copy disc or unauthorised import. The chip, called Messiah and believed to come from Russia, fools the player into thinking it is getting correct check codes from the disc. Two companies settled but the third, Channel Technology went to the British High Court and lost. The judge Mr Justice Jacob has now approved a transcript of what he said in court on 23 January. Sony's case was that mod chips fall foul of section 296 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. This bans trade in any device that "circumvents" copy-protection; it even bans the publication of "information intended to enable or assist" circumvention. Channel argued that privately importing a disc sold lawfully in another country is not covered by the Act. The judge held that "copying is inherently territorial - you need a licence in every territory". Of most far-reaching significance, the judge also held that the simple act of loading a game into the a computer is "of course" copying. David Reeves, senior vice president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, says: "We are sending a clear message to manufacturers and distributors of mod chips thoughout the PAL territories that we will be actively pursuing legal action against them". The ruling that merely playing a computer game constitutes copying is signficant because the DVD movie system relies on interactive computer codes which are copied from the disc to the player before play begins. So Hollywood can now outlaw mod chips that let European and Australian DVD players play movies imported from the US. Magazines that reveal how to defeat regional coding are at risk too. Chris Jenkins, editor of Total DVD, warns: "If anyone tries to do this, they will be shooting themselves in the foot because they will be hurting the very people whose enthusiasm for movies has done most to make DVD such a success". Channel Technology quickly stopped selling mod chips. Another British company, Techtronics, is however still offering DVD and PS2 mod chips that defeat regional coding and even the copy protection system used on movies. No-one from Techtronics was available for comment on the company's future plans. Sony is still in dispute over the costs and damages it wants. The Japanese company has also called on Channel to hand over the name and address of anyone who bought Messiah chips before they were outlawed.
I'm not sure exactly how recent this news is, but it was one of the most recent articles in the tech section ;)
Originally posted by Sephiroth the best thing to do to get good cards at the beginning of a match that the computer chooses for you is to get rid of all the crap cards so then you have all the decent cards like shiva and ifrit, etc. therefore meaning you'll probably have better cards than they do, but watch out for what rules are in the region as sometimes they can have some really cheap rules....
The problem though is that some of the bad cards are quite rare, and you need 5, or 10 in some cases, to use card mod :drunk: ... so they can be difficult to get rid of... 'part from that, you're right, seph. Personally I hate the 'addition' rule... requires too much thought. :drunk:
Originally posted by Final_Flash Hmm, 2 posts, two wrong spellings of the word 'bungee'. It would appear no-one listens to me anymore... I better try being more subtle. Well, I've never bungee jumped, and I'm not sure that I ever would bungee jump, becuase it's really just tieing yourself to a long stretchy cord, and jumping off. I wonder why they even call it bungee jumping, there's no buns, and no-one ever says 'gee', so... *shrugs*
yeah, well.. well.... my mis spelling wasn't so bad 'bungge'.. simply a mix up of which key to press twice.... besides, I spelt it 'bungee' after that... :p

I'd pick B because 'there's always a bigger dork'... therefore I wouldn't be the biggest dork.. you see? that's my reasoning.. ;)

I think (I stress on the word 'think') that I heard somewhere that only a few games are actually going to work online... if so then.. doesn't that mean that we may end up paying more to modify the PS2 to play these games online, than on the games themselves (I mean, I heard there was only 3 being planned.. anyone who knows otherwise feel free to correct me...). Another thing! the price in US$ is the same number as the price in UKĀ£... despite the fact that sterling is worth more... do they hate us or what? (and yes.. I do realise that this is to be confirmed) OK... end of rant.

I've jumped into the wall while playing squash... it hurts... for a while. And for some reason when I actually bounce the ball of the ball right, it always ends up going toward the other player's... Time for the third instalment... here goes... yeah I said it's be up by thursday, but there was an eerie lack of strange things going on.... I think I'll change the name of chapter one... simply because the chapter seems to have less and less to do with the title... as of now, chapter one is 'The First Armageddon' Prelude to Darkness The dark force had drained the planet of all it's energy and left it, a lifeless rock, doomed to spiral in towards it's Sun. The were no planets left in the galaxy it was in, so the 'darkness' (as it was becoming referred to), moved on towards a new one, fairly close by in universal terms, and untouched by it's evil. All of the consciousnesses within agreed, and it departed, unaware that the Arkali were expecting it. The Arkali sensed it's movement, and became anxious, unsure of what to do. The darkness seemed to be made up of a great number of consciousnesses, all somehow linked to each other. It was difficult to tell exactly how each of these consciousnesses came to be, or how so many could be linked to form what seemed to be one being. They believed that each one of these consciousnesses was the real equivalent of what the new races referred to as demons. The arkali had two plans- The first was to destroy the darkness, by allowing it to drain the energy of the outermost planet - one with life, but without civilisation, and directly in the darkness' path. The planet's Sun was forced to explode, destroying the darkness, and unfortunately, all other life on the planet as well. The second plan was less certain to work- The arkali were to poison a few of the individual consciousnesses in the hope that their link with the rest would somehow spread this poison, and defeat the darkness. They soon began setting up the traps, hoping that one of them would work... 'Lord' Karula On the planet of Ka Nhara, Noth Karula was attending a ceremony in his honor.. The war was over, due to his 'brave' actions in the battle a few days ago. What the people didn't realise- and he was in no rush to tell them -was that when he killed the leader of the opposition, it was by accident. But the people needed someone to praise, so he kept this quiet, and now, he was being appointed a Lord. Although he was honored, at the same time, he didn't want to be a Lord. His speciality was fighting, not ruling people, and though the war had ended, he could still feel a strong, evil presence on it's way. "Resis Noth Karula", an elderly, distinguished man said. Karula stepped forward, and the man continued "We, the Lords of Amura, ask you to accept this symbol of our gratitude, and of Lordship", he held out a pendant, with the symbol of the continent of Amura etched in gold. Karula hesitated, unsure of whether he would accept or not. Suddenly, his mind was flooded with thought of pain, of darkness and of despair. His feeling of a dark force coming grew stronger by the minute. He could feel it moving. 'I do not accept' he said. "What?" One of the Lords looked at him, bewildered, filled with disbelief. "Why", asked another. 'Because' Karula answered, 'I am not a leader. I wasn't born to be a leader, to rule this land and decide on how it should work. I was born to defend it. I can feel a great disaster coming our way. I need to defend us from it, which means I can not accept your offer' Karula finished, and awaited a response. After a short pause, the diasappointed Lord simply replied "very well", and one by one, the Lords left, leaving only Karula and those who came to witness the ceremony. After a few minutes, they left too, leaving only Karula. Karula now felt alone against a great force threatening Ka Nhara, but at the same time, he felt that his decision was right, as stuck to it... Enter the Darkness Karula's heart began to race. He knew that today the presence would show itself. He could feel it stronger than ever, though he had no idea what he was waiting for. He grew anxious, nothing was happening yet he felt it stronger every minute. After a while he began to think he was losing his mind, he could sense something unimaginably strong, but could not see anything. Just thenm, he saw what he was waiting for. A cloud of darkness ripped through the sky of Ka Nhara, determined to reach the surface. Karula's eyes widened as he saw this, he knew instantly what his fate would be, and that the whole planet shared it. He knew that there was no way around it, it would end now. He unsheathed his Kalatu blade, not in preparation for battle, but in preparation for death. Of all his posessions, the only one that had any real meaning to him was the Kalatu blade- a sword crafted by Karula himself, and a quite unusual design, yet very effective in battle when used by one with the right skills. The darkness slowly descended, and claimed him as its own. Moments later, both Karula and the darkness had disappeared, and only the Kalatu blade remained, glowing faintly though with no one to observe it. The darkness left, having taken all it needed from Ka Nhara, and proceeded on towards the next planet. -END OF CHAPTER ONE- Edit: Damn... these 'Parts' seem so much longer on paper..

Big difference. :)
hmmm..... laugh out loud... LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!! Nope, it doesn't sound right.... I normally stick with a maniacal laugh or a ' ' smiley... or when in IMs, 'haha'.. simple eh? About the topic... yeah I feel more intelligent than those around me... but it doesn't really get to me that often, unless they do something 'funny' when I'm around... simple minds are amused by the simplest things... like the other day, some asians were sitting across from us in the food court in the shopping centre (I was with my friends from work), and my friends said 'Passports, please' to them.... and I didn't think it was that funny, but hey, that's just me. Most of the people in this damn town would find that hilarious.
