ive noticed here that if I see someone post something, and lets say they use an avatar of a certain anime character, when reading the post I unintentionally imagine that character's voice, the exceptions being really abstract avatars without people on them. It's really strange, but i associate people on the forums with their avatars (actually i guess this is the idea but thats not the point right now), despite the fact that they'll look nothing like that. I dont try to imagine them looking like that, it just happens. It struck me the other day when MattD put a post up with his picture on it. It may just be that im talking a load of ol' crap, but does anyone else unintentionally do this?

I recently read an article in a magazine (not one of the usual, unreliable type but a truly reliable magazine - NewScientist) that a group of engineers at HP are developing a new system for mobiles as well as SMS messaging. The new system works like this... all the mobiles have a built in Global Positioning System, and this is linked to a kind of internet type system. Every location in the world has a different page on this system, and you can drop messages there, such as if you go to a restaurant you can leave a message saying what u thought of it. When someone goes to that spot, they will recieve your message. You can pretty much leave these messages anywhere. Damn... there was a web site for the people developing the system but i dont have it with me. Ill edit the post tomorrow. What would you think of this type of message system?

Oh my god... I just remembered what has to be the most stupid funny thing I EVER did... and incorporated into this story is... THE WORST CHAT UP LINE EVER!!! So the tale begins.... I was at a freinds 18th B'day party, and everyone from work was there including this girl I had my eye on for a while (and still do - it wasnt that long ago and she doesnt seem too 'disturbed' by what Im about to tell you) and after a not too long night (it was at one of those community centres that can only serve drinks til 11pm) and seven double vodkas (some people call me 'the russian' - but i'm not russian!) I lost all inconfidendence - as you do. Now before I continue Ill say that although this girl turns out to be pretty bright, she doesnt seem to be at first. After a while she said how well she did in her exams at school and said 'i think most people expect me to do badly cos I seem a bit dipsy' and I said [b]'some people do, but I don't!'[/b] :wow: a few minutes later she had to go (luckily). I DARE you to beat this

exams? EXAMS? Dont mention exams. I've seen past physics and biochem exams at my uni, and its not looking good. My physics teachers for these modules are also very sadistic, so im not lookin forward to this...

I hate GAP. their store is right next to this sports shop i work part time in, and theyre all so smug about how they get designer labels, and they abuse the service lift! Yes, they use the service lift to go down one floor, even though the stairs are right next to the lift, and they dont even use it to take cages down like u r supposed to... As i said, I hate GAP...

AAAAAAGH! Sorry im from the uk and as far as I know there is only one channel that shows dragonball Z over here... cartoon network. And they never show dragonball or any of the movies. These guys have only just got up to the Saiyaman saga and now theyre playing the previous saga all over again, as they do near the end of each saga... I have noticed that other UKers dont seem to have any problem keeping up with the rest of you. Whats your secret? Is there some other channel in the uk that Im unaware of, do you buy all the videos (I think this very unlikely cos theres so many) do you just look all over the net, or is there some other source i am unaware of???
