1. Well Ive heard of mad but not of cracked but then again i live in the uk so we get stupid mags like 'the beano' and other equally unusually named ones that you grow out of at about 7 cos thats how long you can take the jokes for. correction- the beano and other such mags are actually childrens comics, but its as close as we'll ever get.
  2.
Originally posted by sleepy I don't believe in reincarnation. If people reincarnate, then the world would have the same amount of population. The population keep increasing each day.
Hmmm. Either youre right or maybe spirits have learned the art of multiplication. Or maybe some people dont have spirits. But Ill go with your idea cos it sounds better and generally more believable.
  3. Although u are right about Deus Ex being a game ( and a particularly good game ) 'Deus Ex Machina', the phrase has been around far longer than the game. It dates back to ancient greece or rome or something like that. Thats all im saying right now.
  4.
Originally posted by Lady Macaiodh actually, i'd much rather you beat up my father. he's at least three times the pervert that my roomate is. that would be much more satisfying to me.
He is now on 'the list'
  5. If theres one thing i'd change its this- my friend at high school really wanted to ask this girl out, but he was the very shy kind, so what i did was wrote on a peice of paper what to do and told him to do it. What he did still gets me in hysterics today- he gave her the sheet of paper. I still reserve the right to call him 'idiot'.
  6.
Originally posted by Vegitto4 grrrrrrrrr. Reincarnation is bs gohan. You only live once. not multiple times until you pay off your debts
Though banks will have you believe the opposite. Seriously, I dont know if i believe in reincarnation. I believe that we must have a spirit cos if were just a bunch of chemicals that just learned to kill other bunches of chemicals, and create more bunches of chemicals by 'interacting' with the other kinds of bunches of chemicals then my life looks pretty dull.
  7.
Originally posted by Son Goten i don't fear death, i fear what could come after it.....
Same goes for me. At the end of the day what i ask is- If there is life after death, wouldnt eternity be boring? and if there isnt life after death, why do we live if we just 'cease to be a living being'?
  8.
Originally posted by Voodookanaka I have no idea what mine says, so ill have to look after this post. :D (EDIT)my sigs soooooo boring(EDIT)
I can tell you what your sig means cos the language is how we used to speak round here in stoke. 'never do anything for nothing, cos you dont get anything for nothing, and if you ever do anything for nothing, always do it for the... Ok i dont know what 'sen' means, but i can try to find out.
  9. This is more of a question than a riddle. in fact it is a question. what does 'deus ex machina' mean . its not hard to find out.
  10.
Originally posted by kizu Your mouth. Unless you eat through a tube in your arm, mmm cream of corn.
yep. though the 'stomach' one wouldve done too
  11. I dont know whether its a bad habit or not but it annoys people, i speak using scientific words just so the other guy gets confused and leaves me alone.
  12.
Originally posted by Ice Dragon v2 Here's #3 of my famous Choice and Opinion Survey. 1. Is there any good left in the world??? Post reasons if you want to. 2. What do you think is the most dangerous thing in society?? And please keep it coherant. 3. Do you still believe in "Jolly ol' St. Nick" 4. Should science mess around with religion??? 5. Is it morally wrong to kill a person if you were told to??? 6. Is this saying right: "The World is a safer place." Post reasons if you want to. 7. What is worse?? Hatred or anger?? Post reasons if you feel like it. 8. If people say you're rich, do you brag about it or just say: "I'm in the upper-middle class." (Heh, that's what I say when people say I'm rich.) Now let the survey begin and have fun.
1- yes, but it usually goes unnoticed 2- power 3- may as well, apparently this year I have to dress as him. then again have you ever seen a scary santa    :D 4- science doesnt mess around with religion, many scientists are religious. Science neither attempts to prove or disprove the relevance of religion. Religion, on the other hand, condemns science (or used to anyway) 5- yes. unless its yourself, thats not morally wrong its just STUPID. 6- than what? 7- anger. anger is, as I would say 'applied hatred'. 8- Im not rich im a student. the two are mutually exclusive. Thats what I say when people say im rich, and when they say 'what does mutually whatever mean' I grin and walk off.
  13.
Originally posted by outlawstar_14 i can control my dreams too. one night i was thinking about when people watch scary movies, the usally have nightmares cause they think about it before they go to bed. so i lay there and think about (example) starwars. i think about things like settings and kinda tell my self about it and think on it for a while. then, i dream about it. i do it with a lot of things: starwars, tenchi muyo ,dragonball z and whatever. thats how i control my dreams.
I tried that for ages but whenever i thought about it i couldnt get to sleep. I have this 'half asleep' state where I'm awake but i start thinking about things at random and cant control my thoughts. I very rarely notice it, cos it only happens when im really tired and usually im asleep by the time this happens.
  14. I can think of more stuff now... once i was at a party at my freinds house cos we finished college, and any brits here will probably know what 'red aftershock' is, anyone else might do, im not sure, but i downed a third of a bottle of it as soon as i walked through the door :drunk: and when im drunk i get really evil :demon: ... I gave some of my heineken to his pet rabbit:shifty: . On our last day at college we all got pissed at about half past 8 in the morning. hey it was the best day of college ever. Physics almost made more sense.
  15.
Originally posted by Ice Dragon v2 Ah, it's been awhile since I posted this up. Well, it's time to see on the public's chioces and opinions again. 1. If you have heard about the first human cloned, do you agree that they should continue to research, drop it, or I don't give a crap?? If you have reasons, post them up. 2. Do you think people who "intend" to bomb their own school is psycho or a madman??? 3. What is paradise to you?? 4. Do you want the war in Afghanistan to be over??? (Oh, believe me, people I know still want that war to go on) 5. Even though it said that Nostradamus predicted a lot of major events, would you start believing him or just like "I don't care"?? Poust up reasons if you want to. 6. Do you have a reason of your existence??? 7. What would you do if anthrax hits your town or one of it's resident's??? 8. Just for the fun of it. Do you think I should have this kind of thread posted up once in a awhile??? :D :D Now let the survey begin!!
1- It depends how far we are willing to allow the clones to progress before experiments are carried out, if that is the clones purpose. We must bear in mind that although clones are humans like any of us, as yet they have no legal status. (dont ask why) 2- I think that people who bomb schools are psychos, though this may be through no fault of their own. 3- I hate to be pessimistic but at the moment paradise to me is impossible.. there are simply too many people with too many flaws (when i say flaws i refer to corruption etc, not physical problems). When we get rid of these, we stand a chance. 4- Yes. I think it should never have even started. 5- I read something about this recently. Nostradamus wrote 1000 predictions, yes? but of those i think about 70 were right. but- i) they were written very abstractly- they could mean anything, and one of the possible meanings happened to be right. ii) the whole book was written in 4 languages. Not as in different versions, but the language would change with every word, and as some words had double meanings you end up with several different meanings, all of which are very abstract and could mean anything. No, i would not believe him. 6- I do not have any reason why i exist. One day maybe i will, but at 18 I think im a bit young for that. 7- If anthrax hit my town i do not know what i would do. Its a bit hard to tell without being in the situation. 8- yes
  16. I dont know if anyone else has started a topic like this, ive looked and i cant see one... Anyway one day at work (I work part time in a shop) We had to open the delivery cages as usual, and we had a particularly stubborn one that wouldnt open. Let me just explain- when we get a stubborn cage, we hit the door hinges with a bar, or rather we hit the bolts that attach the door to the hinge, and this always gets it open. This was my first time at doing this, and (somehow) I missed the hinge and hit my head. Right between the eyes. I didnt cause any real damage to me, the bar or the cage, but for a while i was am known as 'danny who hit his head with a bar'. Anyone else done something stupid like that or is it just me (Go on, admit it)
  17.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Another thing, why spirits are white or blueish in color. Typically that is. To become visible, they must want themselves to be visible. And it takes alot of their energy to do that. When you think of heat, what are the two hottest, or the two that have the most energy, types of heat? Why White and blue ofcourse. Thats why a spirit is typically seen in white or a blue color.
Yes but what youre saying is that the spirits are giving off heat, and white and blue hot hings are above 1000 celcius (not sure of the exact figure) which is why its a bad idea to touch anything that white hot, or a light bulb without the glass (you can stand near them cos they are very hot but dont give much heat out to their surroundings, and they are very small so they dont have much heat energy) basically what i mean is you say spirits use a lot of energy i.e. take it in, whereas to be white/blue because of their heat they have to give out lots of heat, so youd know if they were there if the air was warm, not cold. Despite this argument, I have no set opinion on whether spirits exist or not.
  18. What follows you round all day wherever you go, sleeps in your bed, eats all your food, and never thanks you for it?
  19. Stoke on trent is also badly renowned for its bus service. They say buses come in three's, and they always late. In stoke, buses come in ones and three just dont turn up.
  20. my mum and dad once went to sleep with my brother when he was only a few months old, and I suddenly woke up, screamed my head off then fell back asleep (not remembering a thing, maybe cos i was only 5) my dad went to see if i was ok when my mum realised that my brother was suffocating cos they were accidentally choking him in their sleep... apparantly if i hadnt screamed he would have died....
  21.
Originally posted by BabyGirl Erm...your post doesn't really make sense. Just make sure this topic doesn't get to the point of disrespecting your elders. 22. I found otakuboards a while ago, about august this year and registered. some of the old members may remember me as Dan Lucking, though I was only here for a few weeks cos I wasnt at uni then and didnt get as much easy access to the internet. After a while I forgot my password, and just this week i decided to re register as deus ex machina. I dont remember how i found the site though, I just drifted here.

Unfortunately you are wrong. antimatter has been proven as has the idea that when combined with matter the two annhialate. The reason you probably didnt know is that you dont learn anything new in school or college- heres an idea of how old the stuff you learn is- (in science anyway) high school- 400-1000 years (except for values, such as speed of light) college- 100-400 years University first year- 50-150 years PS college in england is the stage between high school and uni, not another place where we do degrees, for anyone who didnt know. we finish school at 16
  24.
Originally posted by ShadowGohan TN... --The Machine Gods of Science-- In science, I learned that energy never dies... so, if humans are made up of energy... why do we die?
In physics I know that energy is equivalent to mass, and lots all things are made of mass. do you therefore say that they are all alive?
