1. I play the violin. I'm not very musically inclined, but the violin is fun...
  2. There's people that actually enjoythis show? Wow, and I almost thought that the world was getting better. Like Liamc said, it's yet another show focused on a subject other wouldn't care about. It's a marketing ploy and, not to mention, really annoying. You wanna sing? Do it the real way and get noticed as yourself, by yourself. Instead of being 'American Idols', the people on that show are 'American Idles'.

    The Four Feathers

Gah! I hated it; absolutely hated it. It was too long for my liking, and tried to be a buddy film, romance package, and action-packed movie at the same time, and , in my opinion, did an awful job. I can understand that the morals of the story are important, but honestly! Movies like that are sorely over-done. (Not to mention over-rated...)
  6. Mara stared at Auron, peering out through long, black lashes. She held much sympathy before the broken...creature before her. But she would not weaken and let it shpw. "Auron," she said, her voice tinted with strong authority, "you are broken. Do you admit defeat?" Auron looked up, his tear-stains marking their paths down his ruddy cheeks. His empty eyes hollowly slid out of focus in thought, and then he suddenly lunged and grabbed Mara's wrist. He flung her roughly against the wall, and grabbed his sword, pushing it's point into the time mage's neck. "You have just reminded me, " he said slowly, deliberately, " why I want this world to be eliminated. It is people like you that sicken me; the so-called heroes. There are no heroes. There are only those who prevail, and then there are those that do not." Mara squirmed under the tip of the sword, a slow trickle of blood flowing steadily down her neck. "You do not know anything about the world," she spat angrily, her teeth gritted and eyes blazing in solid defiance, " The world isn't some game. You're right; there is no such thing as heroes. There are only those who try to do right." Auron laughed and pushed the tip deeper. "Shut-up, time mage. Enjoy life while you can, for you do not have much more of it to live." he countered, cackling with apparent insanity. --------------------------- There, Aries, thath should even the odds...

    -Last Word-

"Ah, Mara!" the chairman exclaimed happily as the arrogant senator strode into the chamber. The jade-eyed woman nodded curtly, tendrils of her curly raven hair that had fallen out of it's bun framing her face, and smiled thinly. "Hello, Chairman." she said quietly, fidgeting in the emerald, frilly dress she had been forced to wear. She hated frills. She hated dresses, for that matter. The chairman rose from his seat from behind his desk, and waved of a young, blond secretary, who stormed out of the room in a huff. Mara chuckled inwardly. 'The older he gets, the younger the secretaries.' she thought inwardly. "So you have accepted the propasal, then?" the man asked, turning to the window, with his hands clasped behind his back. Mara nodded, remaining silent. "Now, Mara," he warned sternly, "You must act on behalf of the Senate, and not on your own whim." Mara flinched. "Would you ever think I would, Chairman?" she countered dryly. Mara had always had a strong disliking for the man, but not he was really pushing for a good kick in the- "I was just saying." the Chairman replied, whirling around on the yound senator. Mara nodded, and bit her tongue, holding back a string of threats and insults. "Of course, Chairman." she said, her voice flowing as if it were honey.
  9.
Originally posted by DuoGod of Death My handle was Lalaith/Lalaith Ril/ DuoGod of Death. One of those three...I hope someone recognizes those names, although I won't be suprised if noone does...
*raises hand, Grinning* I know every one of 'em! Heh...as for G/S/B, maybe everybody doesn't like you for the exact thing you just did: blow up. That's a novel idea, isn't it? And don't you *ever* talk about Juu again, got it? Ever.
  10.
Originally posted by wrist cutter I don't like mainstream anime because it makes me feel superior to everyone.
:rotflmao: That was put very well. You should take a bow for that one. I don't like mainstream as much as I used to. Heck, I like Digimon and that's about it for mainstream on my part.
  11. I don't know who exactly said this one, but I saw it on someone's signature and fell in love with it: It's not God I don't like; it's his fanclub I can't stand. :rotflmao: Also, Bryan's quote was so hiliarious! Recap: "I laugh in the face of death, then turn around and run like hell."-Duo God of Death :blulaugh: Also, I think this one is from AnimeLover... Anyways, if we kill Sodam Insane (his magical nickname) it won't do anything, another bad leader will come eventually.
Originally posted by Sylph Yes, it is an opinion, I'm not denying that. It's just a pet peeve of mine; I really can't stand how people say they hate a certain type of music, as it may all be due to a lack of exposure.
That, or over exposure, Sylph. Don't assume so much. I can understand how it's a pet peeve, but I really don't see how you can come to such a conclusion.

For whoever said that it was ridiculous to hate a genre of music, that is clearly an opinion because I don't like rap very much in general, and I don't find it ridiculous. The controversy of Eminem...now there's a subject. I remember when I was about tenor so, and how much I loved 'Slim Shady', and how great I thought he was. My view was soon distorted when 'Stan' Came out because if you look at it, it was a rather egotistical move, was it not? He sang about a guy who would kill theselves for him. I make my point. Although I'm not a huge fan of the guy, his songs, 'Cleaning Out My Closet' and 'Hayley's Song' (Which he happens to sing, not rap in...) are pretty good.
  14.
Originally posted by Kouberei That's because it's on the back of the DVDs. (Thanks for the vote of confidence anyway, Watson!) ^^

    Godsmack?

Godsmack is pretty good. I agree with Char about 'Awake' being better. Too bad they're not with the 'Pop Sucks' tour...
  17. I think it's a great idea. It is important to get one's point across, but what if the point is of a more mature subject, about a subject a ten-year-old wouldn't know about until then? What then? I think it would help OB's community to do so, althouth, I also doubt that it will go through.
  18. Funny...I like the picture. ^^

  21. Mara clenched her fists, her face beaded with sweat from the efforts of the bracelet, angered still. She swept her hair up in a bun, tendrils hanging defiantly, framing her face pale face. "Was it worth it?" she whispered quietly. Auron laughed. "Was what worth it?" Mara flinched unwillingly, and Auron's laughter rang out once again through the stone room. "Was your past worth it now?" she answered, her voice regaining its former passion. Auron paused, fingering his sword's tip, a small trickle of blood flowing down his hands. "You know nothing of my past; do not talk of it." he countered threatingly. Mara smirked, knowing she had found her sharpest weapon. "You know," she said, a wall of steel taking over her eyes as she became emotionless, "I'm a time mage. I have control over time. I can make you re-live your past, Auron." The man froze in fear, yet cackled to himself again. "Try it." he replied. Mara shrugged and thrust her wrists forward, deftly turning them around around, and bringing them in within a circlular twist. She and Auron became surrounded in a bright light, and flashes of the man's broken past began to surface... *________________________* You're going to have to do the whole past thing, Aries. I'm not exactly sure how you want to portray Auron's past.
  22.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka Mist, I laughed the whole time I was reading your post because you sound JUST LIKE ME! !
I'm flattered, Asuka! *smoothes hair* DBZ isn't the only repetitive anime out there, I'm sure, but I don't think there's a show I could name off of the top of my head. Gah...you're right, ever planet does look the same! I cannot stand the characters! Goku is royally annoying in my opinion, along with all the rest of the characters. I hate the show, I hate the show, I hate the show...(And you're darn right I'm dogmatic about this!)

  25.  Life long dreams...there's so many! I want to become a delegate for the United States in the U.N. (United Nations) Secondly, I want to become a succesful novelist. (Notice how I said successful, not popular! ^^) Um...I want to go to an Ivy League school for college, (I.E. Preston, Harvard, etc.) preferably Yale. First and foremost,though, I want to live in France and own a small bakery shop. I love the smell of bread in the morning, and France is a really good country. All I have to do though is learn how to cook...^^;;
