I've always liked the Frayed Knot joke. ^_^ Jokes don't have to be of poor taste to be funny. *stifles a laugh* wrist cutter....ouch... *mutters*
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Clue: Hop forth to junior year! Last fall at some of my friends' all-girl school. Of course, they need guys for certain parts, so I was bribed with Mountain Dew to audition. I got the part of Professor Plum. I was probably the best guy in that one ^^, at least when it came to vocal talent. Mr. Green might have competed with acting stuff. His character had more humor than mine, and he is just a funny guy. So it fit... but he forgot most of his monologue on the final night. :p Mrs. Peacock had to remind him. The following attachment is a picture of the main characters from clue. From left to right: Professor Plum, Ms. Boddy, Miss Scarlet, Mrs. White, Colonel Mustard (in the back), Mrs. Peacock, Mr. Green (in the back), and the piano player (may not seem like muchof a lead role, but is quite critical to the musical ;)).
*is jealous* That sounds [and looks] like so much fun! Meanwhile, our latest attempt at a musical production was cancled due to half the cast not showing up to preactice. Heisenberg walked into a bar. ...Maybe. If you don't get it, it won't be funny when it's explained, so I'm not gonna bother.
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud I was on the forensics team in high school, so I guess that counts as acting. I usually just did improv scenarios, but for my senior finale I did a dramatic reading from one of the most illustrious magazines in the country. My delivery was in pure monotone, it was pure genius...unfortunatly I was not allowed to finish my reading or the tournament...it seems as though the judges did not appreciate the fine literary intricacies of Penthouse Forum.
Well, I'm amused. Heh. I go to a small school, and you've likely not heard of the plays we've done, but I love acting. The only bad part is the stage make-up. Heh. What's really great is when you get close enough to performance that everyone knows thier lines, but not so close you have to stress about it. You can do the funnest stuff. We went through an 45-55 minute act in less than ten minutes once, speed-talking [and running around like idiots trying to do the blocking.] Or crazy accents. Heh.

Spiffy. It doesn't look so much like a bullethole as a splash of water, but...I like it. Perhaps the more for it.
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine 4) Which books/movies did you like equally? And why? Um... The Last Unicorn. That was a great animated movie, and it was a good read, too (by Peter S Beagle, if I remember correctly).
EEEEE! You so just got a gold star!

1) Do you usually prefer books or movies? And why? Both have their good points, but books are usually better. More in depth, and good scenes that nevermade it to the screen. 2) Which books were better than their movies? And why? Fahrenheit 451 was phenomenally better as a book. The movie was just really, really bad. 3) Which movies were better than their books? And why? Ooh, delicate territory. I actually don't know. 4) Which books/movies did you like equally? And why? EEEEE! The Princess Bride. I love both book and movie--actually, when I found out there actually was a book, I was just about thrilled to death. heh. Tuck Everlasting. I saw the movie when I was really little--it was so cool! I loved it. Again, I didn't know there was a book until afterward. Mmm...I'll think about this some more. There's more stuff I want to go on about, but I need to get off the computer, heh.

Peh, who wants to get up in the morning? The prospect of catching the bus at 5:30 holds little romance for me, anyway. I'm usually flat out exhausted at night. The best part of the day is burying myself in blankets and drifting off. ^_^

I tend to have more quiet time when I'm sick, and I guess I write/draw a lot more. Whether said work could actually be considered inspired is another matter entirely.

I asked my mom, and she declared me a meerkat. Intelligent, quick, and funny. ^_^ I've not really thought about this before, m. Interesting.

The elements are all okay individually...they just look a little...off...when taken together. Heh. [I block out CC, because some people don't seem to like it. If you're interested in pointers, highlight the stuff below. If you just want praise, then skim down to the bottom.]
It's sort of a boring pose--interesting ones can be heck to draw, but they do look better. If you've got a lot of patience, try drawing your characters in action positions. It's okay to exaggerate motion. Your pose is kind of awkard--her one hand/arms should be slightly behind her body, not fully visible. Standing like that would be painful, I think. The clothes look too big for the body. It helps to sketch the body lightly and draw the clothes onto it, instead of just drawing head and hands at openings in the shirt. Have some fun with the hair. It looks very stiff--hair can be one of the most fun [and frustrating] things to draw. Experiment with styles and stuff. It almost looks like the wind is supposed to be blowing into her face, but not quite--kind of awkward. Finally, I think it would look really cool if you paid a lot of attention to the sword and really put some detail into it. Swords can be so much fun to draw, and look at.
Good job, anyway! Keep drawing. ^_^
