1. Genital implants, as because I'm a girl, they won't be seen as easily. :animeswea If one of your parents had to die tomorrow, which would would you prefer to die? Your mother or your father?
2. I guess I will play the person either intentionally or coincidentially named after the elf from Eragon. As she's the only one not taken. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Arya Tibbett Age: 18 Personality: Arya is quite pedantic. She is usually the one to answer people's questions or prove them right or wrong. This is especially evident in school--if a teacher asks a quiz question and Arya knows the answer (or at least thinks she does), she won't be shy to raise her hand, or even blurt out the answer. Because of this, sometimes people tease her for being a know-it-all. But on another hand, Arya is generally honest, respectful, and even generous and friendly. In school, for example, if someone needs to use a pencil sharpener, she'll let the person use a sharpener she has instead of walking across the classroom to use the noisy one on the wall. And if someone asks her a personal question, she'll answer honestly (except if someone asks for legal information such as address or phone number, or for information that would be harmful to a friend). Also, she is kind of brave as far as other things go--the only thing she kind of fears is physical pain. Nope, not spiders, not the dentist, not even death. Arya is a spiritual girl, having quite an understanding of supernatural matters--what she calls "magic". Also, she believes that anything is possible so long as fate allows it. Appearance: Arya is a little over five feet tall. Her skin is sort of a light tan in colour, her eyes are brown, and her hair is curly, shoulder-length, and is dark brown with reddish highlights. Her figure is pretty thin (she weighs no more than 90 pounds), and she also wears glasses. She usually likes to be fairly stylish in the way she dresses. At this particular point in the RPG, Arya would be happening to wear one of her favourite outfits. A black, long-sleeved shirt with a design similar to a shiny silver butterfly on the side. A long, purple skirt that is darker in colour on the bottom and lighter on the top. A larger, silver necklace with a diamond-shaped charm of vibrant dark purple and blue colour. A purple hat with red stripes. And finally, black boots with two-inch heels. Weapon: Arya loves magical weapons, such as wands and staffs, and even certain swords with a magical property. She doesn't like heavyweight weapons such as clubs at all, and she's not really an archer either. Normal swords and other blade-like weapons are OK. So Arya is more a magic person than a physical combat person, especially considering her penchant for the supernatural and lack of physical strength. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^^Besides the name, Arya is basically me... Which is why I was so descriptive.
3. All right, a Pokemon RPG! I created this a long time ago and finally have the courage to open it up... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For quite some time in the Pokemon World there existed a Pokemon forum website. This forum was called "Pokemon Virtual", and it was a place where trainers all across the land could talk about their Pokemon as well as their experiences as a trainer. In the span of a few years, this forum grew quite popular (by the way, it originated about a year after Ash Ketchum started his Pokemon journey, just for a time reference), and it really eased interaction among trainers worldwide. But this forum also led to something else... Also over the course of a few years, the Indigo League's participants grew more and more local. Many people considered the league "too plain" or "unoriginal" as they journeyed to other places like Mt. Silver and Ever Grande City for more exciting and unique styles of battle and/or competition. In order to improve its reputation, the Indigo League committee had to innovate something that could prevent the Indigo League from failing altogether. For years they watched various events in the world with hope, hope of finding some inspiration for something new. Years later, it was found. It was three years after Ash started his Hoenn journeys, for a time reference. The inspiration was a dispute between Teams Magma and Aqua. This dispute eventually turned into a sort of war--an organized one. It was almost like a normal Pokemon battle (this will be explained later). But more importantly, this became a new battle style the Indigo League committee decided to let fly. And thus, it created a new battle style called a Pokemon War, and a competition dedicated to these "wars". In a Pokemon War, two groups with an equal number of people battle. First, one member of each group does a normal Pokemon battle. When one person loses the battle, one of his/her team members takes that person's place and battles the winner. Team members may switch out just like Pokemon can in a battle, and they can also forfeit. The whole team can also decide to forfeit, so long as the decision is unanimous. Anyways, the first team to have all its members defeated in battle is the loser. A Pokemon War requires a little bit of group strategy and lots of participation and determination from each member. ^^In the competition, Pokemon Wars are only some of the battles involved in the new Indigo League. In the first few rounds there are also two-person double battles, three-person triple battles, two-person quadruple battles, and of course the standard one-on-one battles. Contest battles may also be included here and there--thus the competition requires much versatility within a team. Enough explaining of the competition. Let's get back to Pokemon Virtual. In the forum, one member was also a Pokemon professor--Professor Willow. She, like Oak, Elm, and Birch, included giving Pokemon to beginning trainers in her duties. However, she was unique in that she gave trainers a very broad choice in starter Pokemon. She gave out all sorts of Pokemon as starters, so long as they were basic (not evolved) and non-legendary. Also, she was known for designing "Pokevices" (which are like Pokedexes) with many interesting and useful features. Anyways, one day Professor Willow decided to gather together five beginning trainers to enter the new Indigo League. It didn't matter where they came from--even if they were outside of Kanto--the only qualification was an acceptance of working in a group. The group would be encouraged to stick together, and to hopefully prevail together in the upcoming competition. And this brings us to the start of this RPG. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A few notes about the RPG: -This RPG requires involvement. By signing up for this RPG, you are promising that you will stay in it and not just ignore it, and you better make good posts as well--not the three-line or all-lowercase ones I sometimes see. I specifically designed this RPG to simulate an actual Pokemon journey similar to the one Ash and his friends took together. In this RPG, our characters will really get to know each other as the journey progresses, which I hope will only double the fun. Oh and also, four people at the most will be allowed in this RPG, excluding myself. A deeply involved RPG such as this cannot function properly if it's too large--five should be a good number at most. However, at least three people in all (including me) are required to start this RPG. -Bunnying. Bunnying is allowed in this RPG--in fact, the RPG would be very slow and dull without it. Just be careful about it and refer to the rules. To control another character, you must have at least a general idea of the character's personality, especially. -Pokemon. Professor Willow will give everyone a starter Pokemon which you get to choose in your signup. Here are some do's and don'ts about picking your starter: --Don't pick an evolved Pokemon, even if it evolves from a baby Pokemon. Sorry, Pikachu can't be a starter. --Do pick a made-up Pokemon if you want--they're allowed. But do see the made-up Pokemon clause below. --Don't pick more than one Pokemon. --Don't make your Pokemon shiny or give it any special abilities or attacks. --Don't pick Forbidden Pokemon (see note below) as starters. --Do PM me if you feel a Forbidden Pokemon shouldn't be Forbidden--I'll discuss the matter with you. Forbidden Pokemon are usually Forbidden because they're too strong (or too weak, even) or too complicated to work with. -List of Forbidden Pokemon: Onix, Lickitung, Rhyhorn, Chansey, Tangela, Kangaskhan, Scyther, Pinsir, Tauros, Magikarp, Lapras, Ditto, Porygon, Aerodactyl, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Girafarig, Gligar, Qwilfish, Shuckle, Heracross, Sneasel, Corsola, Delibird, Skarmory, Stantler, Smeargle, Miltank, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Nosepass, Sableye, Mawile, Wailmer, Torkoal, Zangoose, Seviper, Lunatone, Solrock, Feebas, Castform, Kecleon, Tropius, Absol, Wynaut, Relicanth, Luvdisc, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Mikaruge, Masukippa, Yukushii, Emuritto, Agunomu, Diaruga, Parukia, Hiidoran, Rejigigasu, Giratina, Kureseria, Fione, Manaphy, Daakurai, Sheimi, Aruseusu -Made-Up Pokemon. Yes, you can make up Pokemon! However, I've seen many RPGs where you don't really know very much about a made-up Pokemon besides its name and attacks. So therefore, if you want to use made-up Pokemon you must have them approved. To approve a Pokemon, use the form below. Fill out the form then either PM it to me or include it in your signup. I'll keep a list of all the approved Pokemon. Oh, and also, you cannot have more than two made-up Pokemon, whether or not they evolve to or from existing Pokemon. Now for the two forms: Trainer Signup Form: Name: First, last, nicknames--include whatever you want. Age: You don't have to be 10. Gender: Appearance: A picture or a detailed description will do. Personality: This is especially important in this type of RPG, so provide whatever details you feel are necessary. History: This isn't as important as Personality, but it will help with character development. It can be as short as a paragraph long, but not three lines. Remember that you're a member of Pokemon Virtual, and that you do not have any Pokemon yet. Starter: Pick your starting Pokemon according to the guidelines above. Other: Anything else you think people should know about your character. You just can't have any special powers or anything--except understading what Pokemon say is pretty common with any Pokemon RPG trainer. (The only one exempt from that is Professor Willow, as she's not in the group) RPG Sample: The type of sample you post in this RPG is different from those of other RPGs. Your sample does NOT have to be about the character you're RPing, but it must be about a Pokemon trainer of some sort that you made up. The main purpose of this sample is to give me a general idea of how you roleplay and of your post quality. Be aware that if your sample RP is good but you put low-quality posts in the actual RPG, you will be kicked out. Made-Up Pokemon Form: Name: For structural purposes, this must be between 3 and 10 letters long. Element: Fire, Water, Ice, etc. No more than 2 elements please. Appearance: A picture or detailed description will do. Attacks: List a few attacks it can learn. Just make sure that in the RPG, you don't have it learn any really powerful moves later on. You can also make up attacks as long as they're not all powerful and you say what they do. Ability: Only list one. You can make one up so long as it doesn't make the Pokemon near invincible. Other: Anything else about the Pokemon: its strengths and weaknesses, special abilities it has, evolution, etc. **As for my role in this RPG, I'll play both Professor Willow and a trainer in the group. However, the two don't know each other nearly as closely as Gary and Professor Oak do--in other words, she doesn't show favouritism. Approved Made-Up Pokemon: None so far Approved Members: None other than myself **My Signups: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Vi Willow (a.k.a. Professor Willow) Age: 26 Gender: Female Appearance: Professor Willow is 5'8" tall. She has light almond-coloured skin, dark brown eyes that almost look purple, and black hair tied in a loose ponytail that falls down to her hips--though in front it is shorter and falls near her face. For the most part, all one would see her wearing is a white trenchcoat (with a hint of a black shirt underneath), black boots, and a white hat. She also wears glasses. Personality: Willow is quite passionate about her work. She likes adventure and new opportunities, and she especially likes "treasure hunts", especially for Pokemon to capture. Overall she's pretty diligent in the work she does and likes, and if she procrastinates on things, it's a sure sign that she sees them as pointless or uninteresting. She's also eager to learn about new things--if there's something in her way she needs to know about, she studies the matter till she pretty much knows it. But as a side effect of this, she tends to be pedantic and often corrects people who have the facts wrong (though not too harshly). Meanness is something she tries not to use, and one couldn't possibly call her greedy. Rather, she's dedicated to helping people out, and she often does things for people without asking for much of a reward. The only condition is that she has to enjoy whatever she does for that person. History: Vi (Willow) was born in Lavender Town, and she had two sisters--one older, one younger. The older one was Sabrina's mother, and the younger one was a cheery, outgoing girl named Mai. The mother often referred to the three sisters as "the magical gradient" because the three had different levels of special powers. Well, for Sabrina's mother those were obvious--she had various psychic powers. Mai, on the other hand, had no such abilities at all. Vi was somewhere in the middle--she just had certain mental characteristics that weren't really "powers" but were out of the ordinary anyways. Of all the family, Vi was the first to show a strong interest in Pokemon. Ever since she was around 8 years old, she was very interested in Pokemon, and as time went by she grew much more familiar with it, even though she never became a trainer. She occasionally attended Pokemon workshops but never became fully enrolled in any Pokemon academy--most things she just found out on her own. Her dream was to become a Pokemon researcher--perhaps even a professor. Vi's goal came sooner than she thought. Over the course of several years, she journeyed across various continents to explore the many Pokemon that inhabited those lands. When she got more experienced in this field (and pretty quickly so), she started discovering Pokemon that hadn't even been discovered yet! Years later, she talked to Professors Oak, Ivy, Birch, and Elm about the new Pokemon she discovered, as well as many of her other studies. She also said that she wanted to be a Pokemon professor like them, but none of them really trusted her experience that much as they had no proof of it. But luckily, some factor in a job as a teacher in a Pokemon academy got Vi the title of Pokemon Professor. (These progresses would take too long to explain.) She wanted to follow the tree tradition of the other professors and thus gaver herself the name Willow. (Willow is not her real last name.) Starter: N/A--she's not in the group. She has several Pokemon back at her lab, which she usually takes care of for other trainers or gives to starting trainers. Other: You're probably confused about the last sentence in the first paragraph of Willow's history. To define those qualities, for example, part of the reason why Willow learns things rather quickly is the fact that she hardly ever forgets what she learns (with the occasional exception of numbers and people's names). Also, her mind can stay awake no matter how tired her body is--as a result she doesn't usually get much sleep. Other than that, because Willow has very little lab space, she found another way to store Pokemon that will be revealed later... **I'll decide on a trainer later, after I see some of your signups.
4. Arrgh... hmm... D'OH! It's no use... I just can't decide... I've done a good job of narrowing my character choice from seven down to two, but I have a REALLY hard time deciding between the two. So therefore, I will post both of their signups here, and you can choose which character would fit best in the RPG. I'm not planning to play both these characters in the RPG, because I know I can't. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Sundira Lemente (aka Sunny) Race: Something called a "rabbit fae". A fae is NOT a fairy--instead it's kind of like a humanoid animal. Faes are usually based off mammals, but there have been some based off of dragons (but those are more commonly called "half-dragons") and such. Sunny is based off a rabbit--a type of rabbit native to Gala with the odd-shaped ears she has. Age: 20 Personality: Sunny really has a sunny personality. She's energetic and friendly, and she loves to help others. However, she has a great deal of favre* (see bottom), and people don't often trust her. Also, she's good at lying, but she only tells white lies to protect herself or her friends. She can also keep secrets well. Plus, Sunny is easily distracted, so she would find it nearly impossible to meditate for example... But on the plus side, she has a fair amount of control over herself and her emotions, except maybe excitement... Yeah, she does get excited easily. And though she's not too shy, she is quite modest and is easily flattered. As far as Sunny's abilities go, she doesn't like to cause evil with them, unless the harm she does is intended for a true enemy. She does believe in karma, probably a little too much in fact. Every time she steals energy from someone who's not an enemy, for example, she often feels quite guilty and/or depressed afterward. But at least the good thing is that she's not afraid of the dark powers she has, nor any sort of dark powers. Sunny gets startled easily, but the only thing she actually fears is physical pain, or the worse possible fate of getting her soul stolen or destroyed. So these fears do not include death or ghosts (unless they're evil ghosts) or such. Coming from a society of magic really would inspire that in anyone. Appearance: A picture is worth a thousand words. (Except for describing how big she is. She's about five feet tall without her hat, while she's standing up that is.) Bio: The also faraway land of Gala is a magical place. It is mainly home to faes such as Sunny, and many other exotic races as well. Also, this land contains various villages in which the native Galian farmers, merchants, and such lived and worked. But also, it was a "society of magic", meaning it was home to several mages, alchemists, psychics, and all sorts of people who lived their life by the workings and elusive ways of the supernatural. These sort of people actually immigrated through a portal that once existed which led to another planet where magical influence was especially strong, and they often taught the natives of their ways. Sunny was born in this land of Gala, into the Lemente family which came from that other planet long ago. The Lemente family was well-known throughout Gala but also quite notorious for its reputation of black magical practices. This is evident in Sunny's real name which means "curse"--her mother (named Selenthe, to make this easier to read) named her that because she wanted Sunny to become really experienced with black magic, just like her. Sunny was pretty much okay with that and quickly took up an interest in it. For such was a characteristic few a Lemente could refuse. But, most of her childhood wasn't all about sunshine and happiness--her schoolmates automatically detected her ominous aura and mostly feared her. On top of that, many of their parents wouldn't let them play with Sunny in fear of her putting a curse on them or something. (They knew about her family's reputation.) Sunny always tried to be friendly (that's why she gave herself that nickname), but it just never worked out with the other kids. So she never had any friends in her life for quite a while. One day, Sunny finally found a friend named Satsuma Merelda. Wait--Merelda? The Merelda family was also from that other planet, and occasionally was a royal family for a few generations at a time. They were a family of much wisdom and knowledge of magic--and they even had secret ties with the Lemente family in the past. Anyways, this was pretty much evident in Satsuma, who, unlike most others, saw past Sunny's aura and even generally liked her. And another good thing was that Satsuma was also next in line for becoming the queen of Gala because that's who her grandmother was. (Royalty usually skipped a generation in that family... And it's evident in Satsuma's name, which happens to mean "royal person".) When Sunny hit her teens, many changes met her. She received her staff for her sixteenth birthday--that was pretto common with her past relatives. Also around that time was an increase in her magical abilities, also common. But following that was a decrease in her magical abilities--not common at all. Why in the world was that happening?!? It was then that Selenthe showed Sunny how to steal energy from the soul or the aura, which, they found, was a great cure for this decrease. However, this ability often got her into trouble in public if she just stole energy from random people, and a few times she narrowly missed being prosecuted or even put in jail for that reason. Now, by that time, Satsuma had inherited the throne of Gala. However, she didn't want to ruin her reputation by vindicating Sunny--at least not too much. So from that point on, Satsuma and Sunny grew more and more distant towards each other--until the point where they might as well have not been friends anymore. In the year that followed, Sunny really grew more negative towards herself. Now she didn't really fit in anywhere in Gala. Now she had no friends, and all she really had for support was her mother. Selenthe tried to be comforting to her, but Sunny still led an unhappy, restricted life. Sunny spent pretty much all her time at home from then on, or visiting Satsuma's family on rare occasions. And she had even adopted a daughter from another faraway land for company--a cute little dog fae named Fortuna. Life was okay, but Sunny really didn't have much hope for the future or any sort of goal in life... Until it happened--a dream, a call from an unknown and mysterious faraway place. It was entrancing, like the song of a siren. Whatever it was, Sunny followed this call. It was a call for help and for destiny. Now the divine was in her favour, for Sunny found out about being a hero in this distant land. She was chosen for adventure, for banishing of corrupt ways, for the company of other heroes too. This voice warmed Sunny through and through, for it gave her a future for once, an actual purpose in life. Thus Sunny followed this call, flying out on her staff like a witch riding on a broomstick, to the mysterious land it came from... Weapons: With her staff (shown in the picture), she can use certain spells that manipulate dark energy--everything from energy pulse waves to a constricting back vine. But without her staff, all is not lost--she still has two abilities left. The first is a pulsing wave of psychic energy that she can only use while wearing her hat. The second is the ability to drain the energy of the aura or the soul, kind of like a psychic vampire. For such is the kind of energy Sunny needs in order to mantain her ability to use any sort of magic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Favre: (n) 1. A negative or ominous aura 2. An innate quality that inspires hatred or fear in others Syn. Formidability Ant. Charisma My second choice: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Celestia Arandon Species: Human Age: 17 Personality: Celestia is a very spiritual person, and also very calm. She doesn't show any extreme emotions very often, but sometimes she can get depressed, whether the reason is obvious or nonexistent. Generally she keeps an open mind about things, especially divine matters such as fate. Her soul "rests with fate", as she lets it. Also she believes that anything is possible so long as fate allows it. This is even true in complex supernatural events such as the afterlife, working of magic, and psychic abilities. Anyways, Celestia is also not really the most social person in the world, but that doesn't mean she doesn't get along well with other people. She generally respects people of all races, ages, genders, and colours. The only people she may not respect are those who disrespect her. She really enjoys being alone, but she also likes the company of other people at times. You can see how Celestia's personality weaves in closely with the psychic abilities she has. It is true that she isn't very good at feeling very angry or even hyper without some sort of outside force, but a person's aura needs the touch of emotion just like a piece of dough needs to be kneaded. And in fact, the presence of the serenity of nature--or more importantly, the presence of her own soul and her own place in the world--keeps her pretty happy indeed when she wants to feel that way. A way to achieve this is by meditating--Celestia has done this often in the past--but Celestia often feels she doesn't need to do so for very long in order to feel true to herself and at ease. Anyways, Celestia is also a person who generally trusts her intuition. Sometimes she's a little modest about what she foresees, or even doubtful in rare cases, though. She's modest about her other powers as well--that was from growing up with a mom who was nervous around magic users. Appearance: There is a picture here (Celestia is in the middle), but that was from three years ago... Still it's mostly accurate. In the picture, her hair looks sort of like it has blue streaks in it--in actuality it doesn't. And in the picture, the bottom of her skirt is kind of flat. In actuality, the skirt is a little longer, wavier, and is darker in colour at the bottom. Other than that, it's accurate... Oh, but one thing you cannot tell from loking at the picture is that Celestia's just under five feet tall (when she's standing up, that is). Bio: Celestia lives in a quaint house made of stone, nestled in between the small village of Wallydee and the Mystic Star Forest. This forest used to be a pretty safe forest until a group of harpies (half-human-half-bird creatures) moved there in order to escape a gang of giant snakes in another forest. But that's beside the point for now. Celestia never knew who her dad was--he just left her mom behind before she was born. Poor Mom--she indeed often felt tormented throughout her life. Because of one small thing she did when she was young--she teased a boy her age for having these special powers--Benita (that's her name, to make this easier to read) was visited by a mage who had a short affair with her then left just when she was beginning to get fairly attached to him. Since Benita was an emotionally sensitive woman, you can imagine how much she was hurt by that. And, it happened again--only this time, it was a different mage and Benita actually had a daughter with him before he left. This daughter was Celestia. Celestia lived a pretty normal life for about six years. Benita was greatly relieved that Celestia didn't have any magical powers like the mages that visited her--or it didn't seem that way when Celestia was still young. Anyways, on Celestia's seventh birthday, Benita got visited by a third mage. (He and the other two mages didn't seem to be residents of Wallydee--just some stranger that may have even been sent by the "Karma Fairy" to pay Benita back for the way she teased the boy when she was young.) This one did the same thing the previous two mages did, and Benita had yet another daughter. (OK, she was used to that part by then.) This daughter she named Mereduin. But, Mereduin was very different than Celestia. When she was no more than three days old, Benita saw her lying in her little bed, juggling flames! With her bare hands! And, she made the flames disappear, and made new ones! Benita was horrified by this--why, Mereduin had a special ability that allowed her to summon fire! Mereduin loved to toy with her fire powers, even as she got a little older. However, one day she was careless and threw a flame onto the ceiling which caught on fire a small bit. Celestia jumped at the sight of this--what if she burned down the house? So, Celestia grabbed a jug of water and poured its contents onto the flames. However, for some strange reason, this made the fire grow bigger and spread more rapidly. Soon enough, it was too late--the fire burned down the whole house, and it took quite a bit of time and money to replace all the burnt stuff in the house. And, Benita was outraged at what Mereduin had done, so she grounded her until further notice... Later on, Benita remembered that Mereduin's father was a mage that specialized in fire magic. Also, she remembered that the second mage that visited her (Celestia's father) could use all sorts of psychic abilities. She was dumbstruck--did this mean that Celestia could have inherited some of her father's powers as well, and just didn't know about them? Anyways, though she was very nervous about it, one day Benita took Celestia to a witch doctor in Wallydee, who was supposed to check to see if she had any such powers. Sure enough, the test turned out to be positive... As more time went by, Celestia began to really be a help around the house. For example, when Benita needed to move a new bed into the house, Celestia would carry the bed in telekinetically. And then there was the time that Benita stayed dry in a rainstorm while walking home after a long meeting in Wallydee, because Celestia had seen the storm coming from afar and Benita had thus prepared. Finally Benita was beginning to realize how beneficial magic users could be. Well, this was partially true... Mereduin, on the other hand, was not allowed to use her powers ever since the house burned down. This got her quite mad and grumpy indeed, and she was also jealous of Celestia because Benita treated her better. It continued to the point where one day, Mereduin just ran away... Mereduin ran away near sunset that day, while she was locked in ehr room and was to be grounded to the next morning. Therefore, Benita didn't notice her gone that night. But, while Celestia was lying in bed, she suddenly woke up because of a dream she had of Mereduin running away. At first she doubted this, but then she noticed that she couldn't feel Mereduin's presence in the room as she usually could... Instead, she saw that she was wandering through the Mystic Star Forest. ...The Mystic Star Forest?!? Oh no--what if she got attacked by a harpy or something...? Celestia really did feel bad for Mereduin, and this was nothing new. She had felt this way ever since the huge fire. She always had a secret desire to help Mereduin out, but she was afraid that if she did, her mother wouldn't be too happy with her. But she really did care for Mereduin and didn't want ehr hurt or anything. So therefore she decided to run away too--to look for Mereduin. Things were going fine at first, and Celestia knew exactly where Mereduin was. However, there was one thing she did not foresee for some reason. While she was walking through the forest, she suddenly walked into an unseen portal and vanished... Weapons: Celestia doesn't really have any weapons--instead she has a few psychic abilities. Her most notable ability is telepathy--meaning she can occasionally see into a person (like reading his/her mind) and send thoughts to other people. But, she can only do this with people who are either physically close or people she knows really well (a.k.a. Mereduin and Benita--see bio). Also she can use telekinesis, which she uses both to move objects and to send waves of psychic energy (though they are quite powerful and take time and energy to form). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yeah, I can't make up my mind today... First I couldn't decide between Sunny and Celestia, then I decided that only Sunny will do, then I changed my mind again!! **For both of them, what happens in the last paragraph of the bio hasn't actually happened yet--that's just a sneak preview of what I expect to happen in my first post in the RPG. Sorry for the confusion... Again, I do not wish to RP both of these characters--only one.
5. Tara didn't need Sean's help anyways. She placed her right and over the dead man on the ground and paused for a moment. A spark of dark energy ran across her hand. Soon after, the same sparks appeared all around the man's body. Like springs, they quickly elongated, raising the man up a few feet off the ground. Then they shrunk back to their original size and hovered around him. "Perfect," Tara muttered. As she turned around and snapped her fingers, the man's body hovered after her, traveling down pitch-black hallways and past chambers. Eventually, Tara came to a stop at a sitting room that looked relatively clean and welcoming. The room contained two red velvet chairs draped with elegant black cobwebs, a glass table, and a piano. Tara set the man down in one of the chairs, closed the door of the room, and was off again. Tara stopped before a long, dark hall that seemed to have no end. Then she took out her wand, and when she pointed it straight ahead, it extended into a javelin and caught fire. So then it resembled a fiery pitchfork in appearance. Tara stood this javelin back up and waved her hand slowly across the flames. "Kataorba kani, nai kito." The flames seemed to be extinguished but instead reduced down to a black aura around the javelin's pitchforked tip. An eerie blue glow could be seen around it as well. Tara smiled and kneeled down slightly. Then, Tara started running down the hall, extending her wings while doing so. Then she jumped, letting her wings carry her down the hall instead. After picking up a bit of speed, Tara saw that the hall ended in a room with a high ceiling. Upon reaching the room, Tara made a ninety-degree turn upward. She was heading towards a ceiling that appeared to be made of crystal, with a black rose design on it. It looked like Tara would crash into this beautifully embellished ceiling or otherwise shatter it, but instead she passed right through it, feeling like she was flying through a cloud instead of a panel of crystal. After passing through the "ceiling", Tara squinted--the sun was shining outside. Immediately, Tara positioned her javelin in front of her--this had an effect of reducing the light around her. After this, she flew down and landed. Tara was standing on top of a skyscraper in the same city she was in before. The top of the building was wet because of the thunderstorm that had been present a couple of hours ago, but now, apparently, the storm was all gone. It was a clear, sunny day now--just the kind of day Tara hated in the mortal world. I can't help but wonder if the angels helped clear up the weather, Tara thought. Which means there are still a lot of them out there. Well hopefully if I stand like this a little longer, an angel will see me... And if there's more than one angel who does--well, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I will be ready for that. Tara kept a firm grip on her javelin, those tip was still engulfed in the dark glow from before. She herself occasionally look down to see what was happening in the area--hopefully something would inspire what she would do next.
6. "Let's just hope he doesn't become an angel and we'll be okay." Tara turned to Sean, and to his surprise she smiled, though only for a second. "Ahh, it is night!" Tara announced as the gate opened. "And the clouds are red with the aura of evil." "All right, so where do we look?" Sean asked. Tara glared at him briefly before answering. We? "The best place to find a future demon is to look in a place of shadows. I suppose you are going to follow me." Tara walked across a field and into another alley between two tall buildings. As she did so, she whipped out her wand and surrounded herself with a ring of fire. "Katekito wenthe," Tara whispered as she again pointed her wand at the ring. The flames flickered and turned black, and they lost their warmth as well. Tara walked a few more steps until she could faintly hear voices in the distance. Sean walked behind her, prepared for anyone who would attack him or something. "Aah! Don't do... no.. I... unh.." came a cry in the distance. "What, you ****ing little *******, you want me to **** some ***?" another voice said to the other. Tara waved her hand in front of her nose as if she smelled something stinky. Finally, a shadow of a man could be made out. Tara nodded and sneaked past him, until she was just to the side of him. The man turned around, noticing someone there. What he saw was the faint outline of a girl of some sort, surrounded by a ring of black flame. This was rather queer... Then Tara took out her Mirror of Sorrow, holding it up so it waspractically in the man's face. She also guided the ring of flames towards the mirror, so that the flames danced around it. And Tara moved around to the side of the mirror, practically leaning against the man. Sean watched her, looking puzzled. Tara then moved closer to the man, her face right next to his, her wand pointed at the back of his left shoulder. "That's it," Tara whispered, keeping a soothing tone of voice. "Gaze into the mirror and see your destiny..." The man was practically spellbound--he just stared blankly into the mirror. While this was happening, the other guy Tara and sean had heard before had become conscious again and started to get up. As he did, he saw Tara standing behind the bigger guy, holding a mirror with black flame around it in front of his face. Sean decided to keep an eye on him in case he did anything drastic, but he couldn't help keeping most of his attention on what Tara was doing. I think I know what she's doing... Sean thought. As the bigger man spent longer moments gazing into the mirror, he noticed that his reflected face was starting to change shape. But his skin didn't become lighter and more beautiful like the previous man Tara "inspected"--insteadit started turning a deep shade of red. His eyes turned red as well, and horns sprouted out of his head. As this happened, the man gaped, and Tara smiled at him menacingly. Finally, Tara gently prodded the man with her wand. When she did, the black flames turned into a wisp of dark energy, which sucked itself into the man's mouth. The man became motionless at once. With that done, Tara moved her wand away from the man, spinning gracefully out of the way as the man fell backward onto the ground. "Well, I hate to say this," Tara commented, "but I need your help. You might as well do something while you're out here. Why don't you help me carry him back into the underworld? That way he can wake up and feel right at home." For once Sean led the way back, the dead man's body resting on his shoulders. Tara walked behind, holding up the man's feet with her hand. As the two walked out of the alley, the other man gazed at them and stammered, though no words could be made out. Tara looked back at him and winked. "No use killing him," Tara said as she and Sean continued on back to the gate. "Even if he did become a demon, he probably wouldn't be of much use."
7. Tara finally looked at Sean, her expression cold. "We are planning an attack on the angels," Tara explained, her fairly angry tone of voice becoming most notable on the last word. "You might want to watch who you kill." "What do you mean?" Sean asked. "From the looks of things, you just killed someone. Did you even bother to consider what he might become after he dies?" "Um..." "You see, there are fates worse than death. In our case, the death of a victim can be either in our favour or our enemies' favour. To put it simply, when a mortal person dies, he can become a demon, but there is also the possibility that he'll become an angel." "And how am I supposed to know which one it is?" Sean retorted, though trying not to sound too harsh. Tara smirked. "That takes a bit of experience." Then she walked away, spinning her little mirror on her fingertip. * * * A while later, Tara was sitting in her room, a small, dark room lit only by a torch containing a black flame. Below this single light source was a sort of altar, the same one she had in her mortal life. In front of it was a rug which Tara sat at the edge of. A bunch of cards were spread out on the rug. "And now, the time has come to reveal this perception of what is to come. How will I fare n this war between the demons and the angels?" And with that Tara turned over one of the cards. "Hmm... This card is supposed to be about myself, but it indicates someone under the sign of Gemini. But in my life, I was born in November, so that can't... Wait. I know what this means. I may have been born then, but I died on June 6, which is during the time of Gemini. Heh, this means that I should be more concerned with my afterlife than my life. Perfect." Tara turned over a few more cards until she turned over one that was supposed to show what happened in the past. "Death!" Tara noted the card she just turned over. "How appropriate, considering this war could not have started without all those people dying." Then she turned over a card which was supposed to indicate her hopes and/or fears. As soon as she did, she slapped the card violently. "Those damn angels!! Of course, if there's anything I fear, it is their victory!" Finally she turned over a card that was supposed to indicate the outcome of her influence on the war. She looked a little puzzled as she held the card up closer. "An increase. But in what?" Tara put the cards away and left the room. Too bad I didn't ask who would win the war. But if I did, that would spoil all the fun. "Where are you going?" Sean asked as she passed him again. "To find a human that is more like a demon." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: I knew it all along that ever since I took up an interest in tarot cards, I would one day incorporate that into one of my RPG posts... Looks like today was the day...
8. Tara walked along an alley than ran between two skyscrapers. A thunderstorm was raging through this part of the city, but one of the skyscrapers shielded Tara from the rain and wind. It was daytime in the city, but with the thunderhead blocking most of the sunlight, it felt a lot like night had fallen early. Soon enough, Tara came upon a park. It was dark as night there, but apparently the city hadn't bothered to turn the lights. However, it was raining heavily because of the storm. Because of this, Tara took caution to it, so she took out the little black "wand" she carried around--the one she knew could be an elaborate weapon at times. But this time, she used it just like an ordinary wand, for she pointed it at the ground and spun around slowly--thus forming a faintly glowing blue ring on the ground around her. When this was complete, she held up the wand as if it was a microphone--but instead of singing into it, she spoke to it, a whispered incatation... "Kito kata." Immediately, Tara lifted the wand above her head, where from its tip erupted a circle of black flame which lay directly on top of the circle on the ground. As Tara walked through the park, the flames didn't burn anything. Instead, they prevented Tara from getting wet and also made the area around her seem slightly darker. Anyways, after a bit more walking, Tara saw a man sitting on a patio sheltered from the rain because it was part of one of the skyscrapers that surrounded the park. Maybe he just needed fresh air and/or time alone. Hmmm... Tara thought. I wonder... As the man sat there, about to take a sip at his coffee cup, he suddenly noticed that it began to get darker. This continued till he couldn't see anything at all. "What the..." the man started to say. Then he saw something: his reflection in a small mirror that suddenly appeared in front of him. The man kept his eyes fixed on his own face, as he didn't really have much else to look at. But after a few moments, the face in the mirror grew lighter, more beautiful... and a halo appeared above his head. Tara immediately put the mirror away again after seeing this, a look of disgust on her face. And the man watched her walk away, staring blankly at this girl with a ring of black flame above her head... * * * A while later, Tara was casually walking around the underworld, the place where all the demons met to discuss their plans. Now, she was pacing back and forth across a door which lead to a large, crowded room. At the end of this room, a couple of demons stood there, and a bunch of other demons that looked like they could be slaves scampered around in front of them. A young-looking demoness with short black and blue hair sat in what looked like it could have been a throne at the far end of the room, watching the slaves at work. Tara occasionally glanced at her as she walked past the door, and the looks she gave her weren't that pleasant. Mori, Tara thought. The leader of the demon race. Hell knows how she ever rose to power... but I guess someone has to be the leader. This is clearly what Tara got for not have the desire to lead. But what would Tara want with a leading role anyway? She was not at all a people person--in fact she was just the opposite. Many of the other demons knew of her cold-hearted and sadistic nature, and often preffered not to work with her. This was fine, as Tara often preferred to work alone. "Tara," a more noble-looking demon said to her. "So, what have you gotten accomplished today? Killed anyone, I presume?" For the demon knew that Tara loved to kill people--especially angels. "Apparently the angels do not like fierce weather such as the thunderstorm going on above," Tara replied. "I almost killed one man I found, but after seeing that he would surely become an angel after he died, I decided against it... So therefore I wish him a long and worthless life." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: I spent three minutes deciding whether to use an incantation that meant "black fire", "dark fire", or "demon fire"--and ended up using the second.
9. OOC: How very nice, now there's seven of us, with ten animal companions. Let's get going on our voyage! **As for Kredion, SasukeUchiha321, PWNED, and Pterimon... Somehow you'd have to catch up with us, because we're setting off to sea now... **Kredion, since you at least posted (and started this RPG), I'll just put your character on the ship with us... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whatever the folks on the beach did that night, it all ended in a good night's rest. It was a calm night, free of pirates or any sort of harmful energies. Not even nearby villages such as Hedrow met any new problems. The fire that raged in Hedrow had long since calmed down, and not even smoke from the flames disturbed this calm and clear night. The next morning, Falcon was the first to wake up, followed by Asunan, and Roj soon after. Not too long after, Nike, Jason, and Aelita were awake as well, as were all the animals that they brought with them. But unlike the late night before, this was not a calm morning. Some of the animals were either frightened or excited, and even some of the people were. "Hey look!" Nike noticed as she pointed to something out at sea. There, resting on the shore, was a ship. It didn't look at all like a pirate ship, and it didn't even have any flags on it. This probably meant that it belonged to no one. And indeed nobody was aboard it, quite strangely. It was especially strange because the ship was in good shape; it certainly didn't look like it had been shipwrecked. It was made of the finest quality wood--wood that was polished, even. It wasn't huge--it looked like it was room enough for ten or twenty passgeners. And the sails... they were dark red or blue in colour and looked as if they had never touched a drop of sea water. The whole ship really looked like it had never been occupied before--in fact it looked brand new. A while later, Kateana and Silverwing flew over to check the ship out. Soon after, Kateana flew back to Asunan, holding a piece of paper in her beak. "What is this...?" Asunan wondered as she took the paper from the raven. After opening the paper up, she saw it was a note! "Dear Ore-Seekers, Please feel free to use the magnificent ship displayed before you. She's been built to last, to take you far and wide... Journey across the sea to find the ore, but beware the pirates! --An order of the divine P.S. Anything you find in the ship is also yours." "A gift from the divine...?" Asunan commented after reading the note out loud. "How interesting..." "Well, you guys..." Asunan announced to the other five people on the beach, "do you think we should accept the offer?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: I really want to do more now in this RPG than sit around on a beach... Let's have an adventure!
10. I've had a definite losing streak in getting these RPG roles... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Tara Surea Age: 18 when she died Death: On June 6, 3066 at 6:06 PM, she committed suicide. It was actually a "transformation ritual" specifically designed to make her become a demon someday. Appearance: Tara is about 5'3" tall. She has long black hair and very pale skin, on which occasional scars can be found from when she cut herself while alive. She wears a fairly long-sleeved black shirt, a black skirt with a little blue at the top, black high-heeled boots, and what looks like a necklace with a skull on it. She does have certain demonlike characterstics--these include bright red eyes, sharp red claws, and little red and blue bat wings. All those features (except her eyes) can appear and disappear. Race: Demon Bio: Tara was an orphan ever since she was born, and life was not good at the orphanage because all the other kids often teased her for being such a crybaby. One boy, Timmy, was thr biggest bully of them all. But on Timmy's tenth birthday (when Tara was nine), right when Timmy was about to blow out the candles on his birthday cake, Tara put a curse on him so that he would be unable to breathe after blowing. Though this didn't entirely work, Tara later killed him with the knife used for cutting the cake, then ran away from the orphanage to live on her own. Ever since then, Tara has been a complete misanthrope, thinking humans were stupid, ignorant, and a bunch of other things. When she heard about demons that existed many years ago, she kept pitying herself and wishing she wasn't human anymore, wishing she was a demon with powers usable to completely destroy the human race. She tried everything she could to become one--everything from drinking blood to performing ertain rituals in hopes of passing to the other dimension. She also learned over time more about the demons and even things such as magic. She grew more and more bitter over time because of her failures in transforming, trying things like searching for vampires in hopes of being killed by one (she heard this would turn her into a vampire), but it never happened. Maybe the demons just pitied her. However, she did gain certain powers, probably from rituals, which made her more confident in her goal but didn't get her closer to it. This continued on for several years, until one ritual she did on June 6, 3066 (it had to contain as many 6's as possible to associate as much as possible with the devil) ended her life. Weapons: Flame Javelin--A short black wand that acts as a flamethrower but can extend into a javelin with fire abilities. One of those is said to make the weapon resemble a fiery pitchfork... Mirror of Sorrow--A pitch-black mirror which can light up and sometimes take over the victim's mind. Tara sometimes uses this on herself to help herself sleep or meditate, or to search for a hidden thought in her mind. An incantation goes with this; whoever says it during use can control the victim's mind if used properly. Magic: Darkness and Fire
11. OOC: I don't remember exactly what the Magical Game attack does, but I guess I'll improvise on that... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So Gazimon data makes a Digimon faster, Merlin realized as he looked at Aesera and Airdramon. But we didn't defeat any Gazimon, so we have no data. I guess it's all heart that will aid us here... Merlin looked at Wizardmon and smiled. He felt a great surge of hope and belief inside him--he felt like he really cared about his newly Digivolved partner. There was even a split second when he thought he felt like he was wearing Wizardmon's hat, cape, and gloves--even holding his sun-topped wand. Merlin remembered what happened to Wizardmon back in the days of the first Digidestined. When VenomMyotismon was about to destroy the Digidestined girl Kari, Wizardmon protected Kari but was destroyed himself in the process. And now, Wizardmon was Merlin's Digital partner, and was up against a weird fusion of Birdramon and Angewomon. In fact, at first he felt reluctant to fight--weren't Birdramon and Angewomon partners of the original Digidestined? Yet now, Merlin had to be sure that this hybrid was the bad guy--er, girl--this time. So he instead focused on the battle, trying again to imagine the sensation of being Wizardmon. "Electro Squall!" Wizardmon announced as he fired a wave of electrical sparks from his wand towards the "Andramon". Andramon flew up to dodge it, but fortunately, Wizardmon had aimed for a spot just above Andramon in anticipation. As a result, the attack hit Andramon's right wing, stunning it a bit. Andramon flopped around in the air for a while then landed on the ground. "Heaven's Flame!" Andramon started summoning the same flame blast she had used on Airdramon, except this time she was aiming at Merlin. Wait a minute, Merlin noticed, why is she aiming at me? Is it my imagination or... "Magical Game!" Wizardmon attacked again. It wasn't really an "attack" though--more like a disguise. For puffs of smoke enveloped himself and Merlin. Then as quickly as it had appeared, the smoke vanished, and three Wizardmon hats were standing on the ground in its place. Andramon looked at this and grinned slightly. "One of those contains you," she muttered, "another contains your partner, and another contains... well that doesn't matter. Fire!" Andramon fired the attack at last, to the hat closest to her. There was a blaze of flame, and all of the hats vanished. Wizardmon emerged from the flames unharmed, but Merlin wasn't so lucky. He had happened to be in the hat that Andramon attacked, so he came out burned by the flame attack. "I don't blame you..." Merlin winced, not regretting this at all. "It was a risky move. And it's a good thing... it wasn't you... that got hit." Standing up only made Merlin feel more agitated, so he sat down and leaned against a tree. Again he checked his right hand--the Digivice was still intact. Wizardmon looked back at Merlin, feeling sorry for him. He just hurt his friend with an attack that was meant for the enemy. "Just keep on fighting!" Merlin instructed. "As long as you can still feel my presence, and I yours... then all will be fine between us." Wizardmon turned to face Andramon again, but he couldn't help taking occasional glances back at Merlin to see if he was all right. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Sometimes in these battles, I like to hurt my own character... so this is nothing new... :p **By the way, Electro Squall is one of Wizardmon's attacks, even if the Digidex I looked at doesn't say so. Wizardmon has it in Season 4 of the anime, in the episode where J.P. becomes Beetlemon for the first time.
12. OOC: Yay, finally! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So that's what the crest does, Merlin thought, examining his own crest. But what is this crest? It looks sort of like a target, but what could that mean? Accuracy? Power? Hmm... When Merlin inserted the crest into his Digivice, the screen said "Crest of Harmony: Detected", and a black glove popped out from the bottom. Curious, Merlin put his hand inside the glove, feeling like this was something out of a weird space fiction. But when he did so, the screen on the Digivice glowed, and a second later Keramon did so too. "What's going on?" Merlin asked the Digivice. The screen said it all. Keramon was shown on it, and a voice inside the Digivice spoke. "Executing Digivolution." "Keramon Digivolve to..." Keramon grew in size, though not by much, and a cape, hat, and wand appeared around him. "...Wizardmon!" "Oh!" Merlin grew wide-eyed--here was his favourite Digimon standing right in front of him, and his own Digimon partner! Some of the other Digidestined were wide-eyed as well. "How did you get Keramon to Digivolve without fighting?" Jase asked Merlin. "It must be putting on this glove that does it..." Merlin answered, still in awe. Then he made a fist so as to prevent the glove from falling off--he feared that if it did, Wizardmon would become Keramon again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Look in the Underground thread and you'll see that putting the glove on allows your Digimon to Digivolve to Champion level.
13. OOC: Your hopes were answered--for now. IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There sat Maridra, mindlessly gazing into the crystal ball in front of her as usual. She did this most everyday, as she really had not much else to do in this lonely world. So she looked into the crystal, at first seeing only a face staring back at her, with short, grayish-purple hair, deep purple eyes, looking about in her late 30's. This was nothing special, only her reflection. But as time went by, this started to fade, until there was absolutely nothing inside the mystic sphere. At that point, Maridra thought she could hear sounds around her, something like a woodpecker pecking a tree especially... but at that point she didn't pay much attention. It probably was just a woodpecker outside, in the forest near where she lived. Meanwhile, an elf dressed in a mainly green outfit and appearing to be in her teens was knocking on the door of a lonely wooden house. After waiting a few moments, nobody answered--but this was no surprising news to her. Besides, the door was not locked, so she just went in. Walking through the dimly lit house, the elf passed by a few small rooms, all of which had no doors and were used primarily for storage. One room held all sorts of bottles and a few scattered cauldrons here and there, indicating the presence of a practiced potion-maker. There was even something in the process of brewing, over a small stone fireplace in the center of the room. Another such room was empty, except for a few stones placed in peculiar locations on the floor, almost like a pattern. That was it, no washroom, no kitchen... but there was a closed door at the far end of the hall. The elf, having been to this house many times before, knew that beyond this door was where the resident of the house usually spent her time. So she opened the door which was again unlocked, slowly and quietly as possible. Inside the room was a familiar sight--Maridra sitting at a table with a crystal ball on it. "Nettle?" Maridra asked, for she had just seen the elf's reflection in the crystal ball. She looked to her right and saw the real elf standing there. "I hope I wasn't disturbing you..." Nettle whispered. "Having company is better anyways," Maridra replied, feeling at least a little better now that she wasn't alone. "I have already spent twenty-five years mostly in this room, doing exactly what I was before..." "Have you seen anything?" Nettle asked. "I saw Orphen again, for about the thirtieth time. I have gotten suspicions that Heliania and Arcadia are in some sort of dispute or conflict, but I am not sure what kind..." "You could fly over and find out," Nettle suggested. "I know you're fairly weak in your raven form, but as a dragon you'd be safe even if there is a war going on." All Maridra did was look out the window--she saw that the sun had gone down a little and touched the tops of the trees. "Well, I was planning to go over to the village this late afternoon," Maridra commented as she stood up and walked out of the room, past Nettle. Then she turned into the room Nettle had passed before, the one lit by the glow of the small fire. A little cauldron was perched over it. So then Maridra carefully placed her palm under the cauldron, then quickly flipped her hand over. The fire was extinguished, and the cauldron had cooled down enough to be picked up. Then Maridra went over to the other room, the one with all the stones in it. As soon as she knelt down and touched the stone nearest to her, sparks of energy flew from the stone, creating a circle of light that weaved through and around the other stones. Then, the larger stone in the center glowed and began to change form. After all was done, there was nothing in the room--instead of stones, there was a small bag that looked full. When Maridra picked it up, it made a sound like jingling coins--exactly what it was. "In case I need it when I'm in the village," Maridra added as she headed outside. Nettle made no comment and just stood in the hall. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now may I add a picture of Maridra: --click here-- **I didn't state what Maridra's job is, but I hope I left enough implications of that... EDIT: Oh, I see someone else signed up as an alchemist... Oh well, if you don't want two alchemists in this RPG, I can sign up as Nettle instead, as she would be more like a ranger... and plus I have a couple of other character ideas as well. Your call. **Yes, I know my signup seems long, but I copied/pasted it into Word and it said it contains 700-something words... weird, it seems much longer than that to me...
14. OOC: I think this group is in desperate need of coming together... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hello," Roj greeted, just as Asunan leaped over the last rock and onto the sand below. "Trying to escape the pirates as well?" "Now is not really the time for me to be concerned about them," Asunan answered. "My two friends have assigned themselves the task of protecting villages from the pirates. I was the one to set out looking for draconic ore. You heard of that legend, did you?" Roj raised an eyebrow, and a gust of wind blew his hood off. "So you heard about it too." "My plan was to set out on sea to find this ore, and I was originally going to be alone..." Asunan mentioned, "but judging by the crisis back in Hedrow--which I believe is the town I saw you coming from?--the pirate ships are well-armed and include many per crew. I kept getting ideas of having a bunch of people meet here for a group voyage to find the ore, but who would ever come...?" Asunan looked hopefully towards Roj, awaiting some sort of response. Kateana and Fenris stood beside them. Beyond anyone's notice, a peculiar being sat in a place below the very sand above which Roj and Asunan were talking. One would have to possess some sort of psychic sense to notice her, in fact. But anyways, she listened to the above conversation and understood that they were not pirates, and that they knew about the legendary draconic ore. She had the same goals as they did, in preventing the pirates from reaching the ore, but she could not do anything about it as she had neither a familiar (or any sort of animal companion) nor a body--she was just an amorphous spirit, a lost and silent being with secret wishes to help. This spirit did see one opportunity for helping out those two people above, though. For one thing she happened to be gifted with was telepathy. Thus she started to focus, on what to say, and who to say it to--which mental properties the receiver of this message had to have. They had to be people who were not pirates, who knew about the draconic ore, whose names were not Roj or Asunan, who were specifically human (not animals), who are open to adventure. With that all set, the message was sent: My friend, hopeful savior of this wondrous land of Raia, I call to offer to you the chance to be a hero. To go on a journey to find the draconic ore, to snatch it away from the pirates' grasp... and finally, to stop the pirates altogether. You may bring an animal companion with you--it is preferred, in fact. If you so accept, meet on the beach near the town of Hedrow, where you will find a man, woman, hound, and raven. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: The spirit-thingy only exists now to send that message. She might come into play later on, but for now, nobody can notice her presence on the beach.
15. OOC: You might want to take a look at the signup forum again--there are a couple of things I noted there. 0ber0n, this is especially necessary for you... don't worry, it's not because your signup was bad (it wasn't). IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maggie, Katea, and Asunan were sitting in their little underground home, just biding their time. The unnamed raven flew around the place, trying her best to amuse herself. It was dark down there, with the only light source being a small lantern in the center of the room. Asunan looked to be the liveliest of the group. "Isn't it about time for you to go?" Katea said to Asunan. "I suppose," Asunan stated, looking from Katea to Maggie. Maggie was holding a pansy and pulling the petals off one by one, muttering to herself while doing so. It wasn't until the flower was petal-free that Maggie looked at Asunan and spoke. "It looks like you might have a troubling journey today." "No, Maggie," Katea corrected, "That conflicts with the reading we all did. It said you were going to have smooth sailing at first, and meet lots of people as well." "The smooth sailing doesn't have to be about today," Maggie added. "Well..." Katea didn't know what to say. Asunan checked around to see if she had all her things ready. Her backpack--check. Small bow and three arrows--check. Oh and speaking of backpack, Asunan also checked the bag's contents, however small the bag was. Inside were three little bottles of various substances--one held some sort of oil, one had a powder that could have been a sort of medicine, and the third contained a bright purple fluid and was sealed the most tightly out of the three. Also in the backpack was a smaller purple bag that didn't look like it held much, and another pouch that held money. Yes, everything was ready. All that was left for Asunan to grab before walking out was a big, heavy, pale blue cloak, for any colder weather that came asea. Asunan walked over a few rocks, Katea's raven flying overhead. "Maybe I'll call you Kateana, for now," Asunan said casually to the raven. The rocks soon gave way to a beach, where a few people were already standing. Kateana immediately flew ahead to see who they were, then signaled to Asunan that they weren't pirates or anything. Asunan then followed, climbing down a not-too-steep cliff that lead down to the sand. Soon the journey would begin...
16. Since this is also my RPG, I'll say a couple of things about your signups... **I propably forgot to mention this, but you cannot have more than one animal. But since this RPG already started, you can have more than one, but when we get our hands on the ore, only one of your animals will be allowed to become a dragon. **Also, your animals cannot have special powers until later in the RPG. Sorry, 0ber0n--telepathy counts as a special power. Now to post in the RPG.
17. I remember that RPG! Unfortunately, when it started, I guess I didn' have time to post, or I completely forgot about the RPG. And just recently I was thinking about reviving some of my old RPGs... Well, Kredion, you've done it! Thank you! So now, I give the official authority to let this RPG be recreated. And with that, here is my sign-up. It is different from the one I used in the last version of the RPG, though--I don't really care much for the character I had back then. (Hey, in fact it was a character I used in a different RPG here about two years ago!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Asunan Karia Age: 20 Gender: Female Appearance: Asunan is about five-and-a-half feet tall. Her hair is fairly short and a purplish gray in colour, and this colour is also present in her eyes. She basically wears a yellow shirt that looks a little too small on her, shorts that nearly match her hair in colour, black shoes that resemble hiking boots, and a black belt with a silver star in the front. Personality: Asunan is generally adventurous, willing to go beyond what is normally expected, and to explore worlds and ideas that are not generally known. She also has quite a bit of courage, so she'll hardly ever back away from the most dangerous circumstances. Trust is another one of her virtues--she respects people and thus tends to trust people. So if it weren't for the fact that she usually likes to work alone, she could make a great leader. Also, Asunan has a belief that anything is possible so long as fate allows it, and she is overall quite spiritual as well. She has a firm belief in magic, and that is also a subject she knows quite a bit about. This also is most of the reason why she's not afraid of darkness or death. Bio: Asunan is a member of a small group of friends called the Star Knights. The Star Knights didn't really do to well in society though, especially since they were notoriously known for practicing witchcraft, which in the small town of Medron was a pretty blasphemous act. But the town mayor didn't care--Medron was kind of on a lonely edge of Raia, so it didn't get attacked that often like the rest of the island did. The other two members of the Star Knights were Maggie, a calm and beautiful girl who sometimes ventured out to entertain the men of the town, and Katea, who was sort of the "leader" of the group. Katea often provided for the group's basic needs, and was a pretty good thief as well. She also had a pet raven. When the Star Knights heard about the possibility of dragons, they leapt at the opportunity. So they decided that at least one of them would go on the quest to find the special ore. Maggie didn't like adventure that much, so she wasn't to be the one. She also couldn't keep their home well without Katea, so she stayed behind as well. So it was Asunan that was to go on this quest. This was just as well, as Asunan was the most physically fit of the three, and quite possibly the bravest as well. So Asunan it was to go on this quest. Katea kind of regretted staying behind, but she made up for it by allowing Asunan to take her raven with her on the quest. Animal: Raven Animal name: She doesn't really have a name, but Asunan might call her Katea, after her original owner Animal Description: "Katea" stands about ten inches tall--quite small for a raven. Her feathers, when the sun shines on them, look slightly purple in colour, but normally they are the usual shiny black. Her eyes are a misty gray in colour, though the colour is pretty hard to determine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I certainly hope more people will join this RPG... and to those who were in the original, I'm sorry for letting the old one die.
18. OOC: A few things to note: -Malkite knows that Watihala is on his side, so he wouldn't have wanted to kill her. -Something else was supposed to happen here before we leave... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Watihala trailed along behind the other two as they were on their way, deep in thought. Why would Malkite want to kill me, after this? Either Reyas heard wrong, which I sort of doubt, or Malkite is up to something... You appear lost, Wati. I sense you are troubled, Persephone said to Watihala. Did you notice something? Watihala asked. While I was flying around, I saw a few of Malkite's guards talking about you. They appeared surprised that "one of Malkite's kind would be helping his enemies". In other words, they probably saw you with Ronyo and Trellion--and maybe notified Malkite after you left him. That can't be good, Watihala thought. If Malkite knows about this, chances are he'll notify the other lords in due time. I know what I want to do to stop this, but Malkite is a lord, so he won't go down easily. Also, if I go back, what will I tell the others? Maybe in order to win, I have to betray one side... Try to please both and it's game over for me... Then Watihala had an idea... so therefore she readied Oritasu and headed the opposite direction, back towards Malkite's lair. I've made up my mind, Watihala said to Persephone. I have to prevent Malkite and his guards from telling the others. Again, I will notify you if there is trouble, so you can tell Ronyo and Trellion that I am all right for now, if they ask. For a while, Persephone thought Watihala was crazy, and she even worried for a second that she would be killed should she attempt at what she was about to do. But for now, she just sat on Ronyo's shoulder and did what Watihala told her to do. Meanwhile... Watihala was back near Malkite's lair, fighting some of the guards. Luckily, there weren't many left, as Ronyo and Trellion had killed off the majority of them--yet still Watihala was outnumbered six to one. And, she seemed to be losing the battle, for as she was speaking the incantation for one spell, the guards attacked her at once, one of which hit her with some sort of thorned whip. Because of that, she was in quite a bit of pain as she finally finished the spell. ...and let my pain be theirs! Watihala added as a final thought. Before anyone else could attack, a ring of black flames spread out from Oritasu, hitting all the guards. These flames never went out until the guards were good as dead. After that, Watihala sat down for a while, feeling a little shaken from the fight she just fought and the spell she just cast. She hoped she had the energy to continue on, for there was only one battle left, and Watihala thought it to be much harder than the last. Now only Malkite remains. I take it he is still inside, but shall he come out... But maybe I should take this opportunity for a brief rest, come to think of it... So Watihala sat back and leaned against a tree, closing her eyes and trying not to fall asleep. However, she still remained aware of her surroundings, and especially of Malkite. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: If the above is way off from what was planned, please let me know... I couldn't think of much else to do at this point...
19. Merlin had stayed up quite late the night before, but nevertheless he was able to wake up fairly early the next morning. He was both a night person and a morning person; it was usually in the late morning or afternoon that he got tired. This was true of him, and even more true of Keramon. Keramon had pretty much stayed up all night. Meanwhile, the sky was still quite dim, as the sun had only just come up. Aesera, Mia, and Merlin were all awake at the very least, as well as most of the Digimon. Merlin looked around as if keeping watch over the group. No suspicious action seemed to be taking place. No backpacks or Digivices were stolen, nobody was hurt, no Digimon were missing... Wait a minute, one Digimon was missing! Where was Keramon? "Keramon?" Merlin whispered. Then he remembered that he didn't need to keep the others asleep, as they were supposed to wake up as well. So he spoke a little louder the next time. "Keramon? Where are you?" "Keramon's gone?" Aesera noticed Merlin looking around for Keramon. She glanced around as well, and no sign of Keramon. "Weet a shekkund..." Patamon said through a mouthful of food, "Ah fai aroun go wook fo im." And though Merlin and Aesera had a tough time figuring out what Patamon said, he flew up and circled around the group, searching for signs of Keramon. Is there any way to tell how Keramon is doing on this thing? Merlin thought as he took out his Digivice. But the buttons he pressed didn't give him much help--just a few random and meaningless screens of data. If he got captured by an evil Digimon, then... what would happen? Would he be hurt, or worse, turned into data? I don't think he's in trouble... somehow I can sense it... but, oh, speaking of sense... Merlin remembered something he heard about regarding psychic abilities, back when he was pursuiting information on the paranormal. He came across this one idea of "remote vision", which was the ability to see anything in the present time. Merlin knew that since this was a psychic ability, anyone could use it, but also that it is very difficult to use. Nevertheless, Merlin decided he would try. So then he closed his eyes and focused on Keramon. Only Keramon... nothing else. Every other thought he just acknowledged and left aside, to allow more focus on his Digimon partner. He could still feel the cool breeze about him, the gradually brightening sky, and the chatting of people and Digimon around him, but Keramon... where was... "There he is!" This call from Patamon broke Merlin's concentration, so he opened his eyes and looked at Patamon. Patamon was pointing to a spot next to some trees, so Merlin looked in that direction... "Sorry I'm late," Keramon said, panting slightly as he walked over to Merlin, carrying a sack of some sort. "Hmm, let me guess," Merlin muttered as he wondered why Keramon was walking around away from the group. "You went to look for food, am I right?" "Yes, you guessed it," Keramon answered. "I couldn't sleep anyways, so I decided I might as well walk around. I had quite an adventure, let me tell you! I saw a few strange-looking Digimon while I was walking. And do you remember that time during Halloween when those weird holes in the sky appear in the real world, and Digimon-ish creatures appear in them? I can swear that one of the strange Digimon I saw last night was one of them--the same one." "Really?" Merlin exclaimed. "Well. One thing I heard was that Halloween was a time when the border between the physical and spiritual worlds was the weakest--which I thought was bogus because those two are actually harmoniously combined in life--but maybe it is also the time when the border between the real and digital worlds is the weakest. So I guess those strange Digimon I saw before are real!" "It's too bad I never paid attention to what those Digimon are," Keramon apologized. "I almost didn't think they were Digimon." The two contemplated this for a few moments when Aesera finally spoke. "Well, Merlin..." she said, "that really is an interesting theory, I have to admit--about the strange Digimon. I never noticed those appearances during Halloween, though... Hm... anyways," and here she reached back into her bag, "would you like some..." "No thanks," Keramon interrupted. "I got some here." And with that, he opened the sack he was holding. Inside were twelve or so fruit which resembled large cherries in colour and shape. "I have to warn you though," Keramon continued. "Be careful around the seed, and if you see any red juice leaking out in the fruit, don't eat it. A Elecmon I met along the way said that red stuff is poisonous." Curious, Merlin picked up one of these strange fruit and bit into it. It tasted very sweet and tasty, but it was weird because the fruit was black... And, there was a pit inside that felt kind of soft and was pinkish in colour. This must be the source of the poison, Merlin thought as he examined the pit. Maybe I'll keep it in case of an emergency. "I got enough berries for just about everyone," Keramon announced to the group. "Showoff," Patamon mumbled, jealous that Keramon found better-tasting food than he did. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: I included the berry thing because I just felt like it. I included the Halloween reference because today is Halloween. I included the psychic ability reference because... well, I can't give an accurate reason there... And yes, since psychic abilities utilize the electric fields around one's body (a.k.a. aura), anyone can use them. That's my lesson on the paranormal for the day. :)
20. OOC: Since Wulf Maximas has let me control Malkite for a while... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Malkite grinned slightly as he accepted the jar Watihala was holding. "So," Malkite started to say, "let me think... what was going on in the world? I only heard a few weeks ago by Him... but..." After this he just muttered to himself while twiddling his thumbs. At the same time, Watihala had Oritasu balanced on the tip of her finger, rotating slowly upon its orb. The music of clarity... Watihala said in her mind, the silence of remembrance... A spell whose incantation was all mental came rarely to Watihala, yet still it had a similar effect as planned. In the moments afterward, the slowly spinning Oritasu seemed to be singing, or at least emitting some sort of musical effect. No sound was present--just an inspirational feeling that is such that one gets from ordinary music. ...the light that sparks the imagination and... The dim torches on the walls leapt to life, their flames turning pale yellow in colour. These flames skitted across the floor until they met in a ring around where Malkite sat, upon which they flared up and vanished. All that followed was a few more "notes" of Oritasu's song, and Watihala thereafter tossed the sword upward and caught it. "Interesting..."Malkite said thoughtfully as he stared at the opposite wall. There was a pause, during which Watihala just kept quiet. "Well," Malkite declared, looking back at Watihala. "Now I remember. But... unfortunately, I am not able to provide much, little sorceress of my kin. This does not mean that I am completely oblivious to where we sand, though. All I know is that recently, power has dramatically shifted to the inferior races. This jeopardizes many of us, so we have had to up our security by a large factor. However, life is pretty good for us in general." "So that means..." Watihala finally said. "The individual is in no real danger," Malkite continued, "but if we are not careful, power will continue to be stripped from us. It is really those in power that have to worry, for I fear some of them will be targeted by our enemies." "I can only hope for the best for you," Watihala hoped, realizing that Malkite was one of "those in power". "It is during times like this that I am grateful not to be in an even higher position," Malkite commented. "Thank you for your input, anyways," Watihala said to Malkite. "Perhaps with this information I can help seek out these enemies." So Watihala made her way back to the front door and exited Malkite's lair. As she did so, the blind raven Persephone flew over and landed on her shoulder. We have succeeded, my friend, Watihala said to Persephone. So Watihala continued on, spotting vampires about the trees around her. This was definitely a sign that Ronyo and Trellion were close by. OOC: Gee, that sounded too easy... But oh well.

22. OOC: Hmmm... I was originally planning for Malkite to recognize Watihala as a vampire, but if I do that, I'd have to control him for a very short while... Ah well, just a little detail... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Persephone the raven was perched atop Watihala's head as Watihala walked towards the castle. The road leading to it was dark, and nobody was walking about, especially near the castle's entrance. This meant that Wati would be the only one to accompany Malkite. I think it is time for me to take my spot atop the castle, Persephone spoke to Watihala. She didn't really speak though. She and Watihala shared a telepathic bond, so this was more of a telepathic message. But this was all for the better, as it kept the scene quiet. After Persephone flew towards the castle, Watihala stopped and looked around. Neither Ronyo nor Trillion was in sight; apparently they had not yet arrived. This was perfect, for Watihala had another secret idea. So instead of continuing towards the castle, she turned around and headed throught the trees, back to the village that was near Ronyo's home. Not too far afterward, Watihala was stading atop a ledge overlooking the village. There were still a few lights in the village from candles or fireplaces. After looking around, Wati sighed and held Oritasu close, looking as if she was praying. "So Fate leads to this," Wati whispered. "With this act, I am about to break the very customs of the Druids... I am about to fulfill the past. Usually sinful acts are returned by Karma, I am aware. So now I sin... with all the hope that it will work for the better. In this case, a sacrifice must be made. So let evil fight on the side of good." Watihala picked up a large jar she had picked up along the way and started her descent towards the village. When she reached the ground, she paused behind a house where two men were walking around inside. Standing next to a window, Watihala held up Oritasu as before, this time invoking a spell rather than a prayer. Sleep, confusion... Such elements are needed this time, tonight. While saying this in her mind, Wati moved her hand till it rested right underneath Oritasu, one of the rings she was wearing reflecting starlight right to the bottom of the sword's handle. Wati then let go of Oritasu with her other hand, but Oritasu stayed in the exact same position, as if by an invisible force. For a fleeting moment, Watihala felt a little drowzy, clear-headed, carefree... but all too soon this feeling left her and revolved in a sort of aura around the blade of Oritasu. After this was done, Oritasu started to fall, but not too long before Watihala caught it. Watihala peeked into the window again--the two men were now sitting at a table in the house, talking. Seeing that the coast was clear, Wati pointed Oritasu at them. With just the right mental urging, the soporific feeling that floated about Oritasu now floated amongst the two men at the table, who started to nod off. When Watihala was sure the two of them were asleep, she climbed into the house through the window (how dumb, they didn't put any glass in it). Taking a deep breath of the slightest regret, Watihala turned to the first man. It was then that she attacked... Moments later, the two men were at the table, lifeless, leaning forward with their heads down, slashed and bitten around the arms and neck. Watihala was walking away from the village and back towards the castle, the jar she brought with her now full and quite heavy. By the time Watihala reached the castle, it was just about dark. "I am here to visit Lord Malkite," Watihala said to the guard waiting at the door. "I am a noble from the village nearby, and I have in my possession something that will surely please him." The guard nodded, opened the door, and stuck his heaad inside. "Master," he called, "a noble from the village is here to accompany you. She says she has something for you." "Wonderful," said a voice from within that Wati very faintly recognized, "bring her in." Then the guard gestured towards the door, and Watihala finally entered. "Well well well," Malkite said with a slight smile as Watihala walked in. "Who knew you'd grow up into such a beautiful lady. Why, I was expecting a noblewoman, and instead I get someone of similar kin." Just as I may have figured, Watihala realized, he does remember me. "Hello my lord," Watihala greeted. "Long time no see. Ten years past, in fact." "I see now you come alone," Malkite noticed. "What is your wish this time?" "I come for advice on what to do next," Watihala replied. "Just like last time, I need an idea of what we, as a whole, are currently up to." There was a pause. "In return," Watihala continued as she picked up the jar that she could just barely lift. A thick red liquid flowed inside it. "...I give you this." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Yeah, sorry about going about this in a different way than you may have expected... but that's what my last post was for...
23. OOC: All right, now that I know exactly where the other two Society members are... IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After about an hour or so, the sun was still far from visible, and the sky was still a dark shade of blue. And, fortunately, the boat the group had been riding in was now approaching Paris. Also fortunately, there were no boats out on the river, nor any people sitting on its banks. Apparently the middle of the night wasn't a safe enough time to do so for most people. It was the perfect setting; things were going well so far. "And here we are," Bard announced he gestured to a tunnel near one of the concrete banks of the river. It was barely visible, especially to someone standing on the bank. Even the people aboard the boat could barely see it; only Saruna and Bard could see it clearly, and Hasaitsu could just barely see it. Therefore, Hasaitsu, who was in charge of the oars, started to steer the boat into the tunnel. This he had a rather difficult time with, as his arms were sore from rowing another boat to the shore of the North Sea. So therefore, Mr. Surenich had to help him out a little, and Saruna helped direct them into the tunnel. Mrs. Surenich kept looking around to make sure no one could see them, and Chibu had fallen asleep again on the boat trip and was snoozing on Saruna's lap. Saruna didn't like this all too much, but she didn't want to wake her little sister up, as she might complain about stuff. And besides, Chibu looked really cute lying there--well, she looked cute no matter what she did. This combined with her rather innocent nature made her rather popular with the Brothers she sometimes used to visit. Finally the boat entered the tunnel. Inside, it was dark, and any voices that sounded would echo spookily, so before entering Bard advised the group to remain quiet. And at this point the water was fairly still, so the two other men had to start rowing again. Hasaitsu actually had to slow his rowing pace for his father (the two took separate oars), who wasn't as strong as he was, so the boat kept wobbling back and forth for a while. Not too long after the two straightened things out, the end of the tunnel came. A woman was standing on the dock nearby, and she walked up to the group as Bard tied the boat to the dock. "Ah, the Sureniches are finally here," the woman whispered. From the way she dressed, she looked like a maid in some cheap hotel. "I see you are the attendant for our friends' room," Bard replied as he tied the final knot on the boat. Meanwhile, the rest of the group started unboarding the boat. Mrs. Surenich came out first, then Bard. Hasaitsu and Mr. Surenich put away the oars before walking out, and they also handed everyone their supply bags--including Saruna's heavy breifcase. Saruna was stuck on the boat with Chibu. "Come on Chibu, wake up, we're here," Saruna whispered to Chibu as loudly as possible, nudging her sharply yet gently. Soon enough, Chibu yawned and slowly opened her eyes, finally aware that the boat had stopped moving. "Are we there yet?" Chibu muttered as she started to get up. She didn't need to be answered though; a glance at the dock did it for her. After everyone got out of the boat, the maid led the sixsome up another tunnel, which ended in a closet. This opened up into a hall (some people had to squint because of the brighter light in the corridors) which looked like the inside of a hotel. "This way." The maid led the group to the right, left down another hall, up a flight of stairs, outside, along another hall, and finally stopped at a door numbered 247. "This is the room. I better be on my way." With that, the maid continued down the hall. When she disappeared behind a corner, Bard knocked on the door. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: That hotel room is the one Miasnik and Frauka are in, if you haven't figured that out already.
24. OOC: I have no clue what Keramon's attacks look like, as he never appeared in the anime as far as I know, so I guess I'll improvise on that... (Yeah, and they're not self-explanatory either--Network Flapping? Crazy Giggle? Um...) IC: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Merlin looked around at all the Gazimon, as well as all the other Digimon fighting them. Strangely, Keramon was the only Digimon not fighting; he just stood there, not really doing much. Neither of them really cared for battles that much. "Electric Stun Blast!" declared three of the Gazimon in unison. They fired their attacks at Keramon. Keramon fell over and rolled over out of the way, missing the combined attack by inches. "No way, three against one?!" Merlin muttered to himself. "Now that's unfair, and Keramon never even asked for a fight." Keramon giggled in response--Merlin wondered why--but this was actually an attack. The three Keramon then started giggling in the exact same way, so they couldn't do much of anything, much less attack. Three other Gazimon charged at Merlin. This was rather unfortunate, because Merlin had possibly the least desire of all the group to fight. He disliked any sort of physical combat, in fact. As the Gazimon pinned Merlin to the ground, Merlin wished for a fleeting moment that he was a Digimon, with some sort of special power that could help him out here. Wizardmon was the first Digimon he thought of, as that was his favourite. But Merlin wasn't Takuya or Koji or J.P, so he had no hope of achieving this wish. Instead, he continued lying face-down, covering his head with his arm, as the Gazimon starting jumping up an down on him as if he was a trampoline. Luckily the Gazimon weren't big enough to actually crush him--they just were a bit painful and annoying. After a few moments of giggling hysterically, the other three Gazimon actually frlt refreshed and pepped up. So they all charged at Keramon with newfound energy, in a similar way that the other Gazimon did to Merlin. Keramon tried to jump out of the way, but he couldn't jump very high on his tree-root legs. One of the Gazimon grabbed Keramon by the foot, dragging hhim down to the ground. Another one stomped on his head, pushing the tree-like Digimon's face into the ground as to prevent him from giggling again. The third hit Keramon with more electric shock attacks, stunning him so that he couldn't escape so easily. "Network... mmph... Flapping..." Keramon grunted between getting stomped on by one of the Gazimon. A few of birdlike wisps of dark energy flew out of his hands, but none of them hit the Gazimon. The two that weren't stomping on him jumped out of the way to avoid the attack; the third was out of range anyways. So Keramon was pretty much doomed in this position... As was Merlin, who just lay there, not doing a thing about the Gazimon on top of him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Yeah, this is typical. I somehow like to make my character's situations very difficult in some of these battles...
25. "'Tis all right," Watihala answered, sounding more calm than excited. "Fortunately I do not have a pronounced fear of vampires. And paying a visit to the Lord himself... I would certainly do it." But I hope he and his guards don't know me... "A braver response than I would have expected," Ronyo commented. "What I might suggest..." Watihala continued. "You don't really need to keep watch over me all the time. If trouble arises, I can contact Persephone--that's my raven friend here--who can warn you. We share a telepathic bond, you see. That way, you can help Trillion, as there are probably several guards there." For a moment, Watihala knew exactly what she was going to do when she walked into Malkite's lair. Exactly what to say, how to act... Shall I tell him the truth? Wati thought. Shall I say that I am one of them, and that I want a little more information on the actions of our kind? That might be the most effective way, but if Ronyo overhears... Unless I tell him I am pretending to be a vampire... No, then he'll get suspicious... or will he? It would all depend on Ronyo's reaction to this suggestion. In the meantime, Watihala remembered when she was younger, when her big sister and her mother took her to see Malkite and the others, for the exact reason of finding out what was going on in the world. Malkite had given a pretty detailed answer that time, but that time he had only allowed them to know that information because he knew they were on his side. Yes, he had seen little Wati that time, but Wati was much older now... So therefore, Wati's plan would depend on both Ronyo's response and whether or not Malkite happened to remember her. I think I can help the druids very much, Watihala thought after this, especially since I know some of the vampires' intentions, however ancient they may be... though all I know is snippets of what my mother told me as well as what I heard from Malkite ten years ago. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: There I go... setting up quite a dilemma regarding my character early on... As well as giving flashbacks of her life. Typical, very typical of me...
