1. I was 14 when I got mine. the guy I was going out with at the time kinda pulled me aside after school when he was about to leave, and it happened then. nice guy, but it was Horrible. wet, slimy, and sloppy (the best kind, don'tcha know). him being a nice guy, I didn't want to say/do anything that would offend, but the second he turned his back, I started trying to wipe my mouth off. freaked out a little, thinking "Holy cow, I hope that's not how it was supposed to go...", but thankfully, it's been just him that's done that so far, lol.
2. I'll only mess with six episodes at a time on weekends, and even then, it depends on what I'm watching. I could watch stuff like Cowboy Bebop and Kare Kano easily that way, because they're both freakin' awesome. the worst I've ever done is watching the entire Evangelion series (plus both movies 0_o') in three nights, mainly because we were borrowing the tapes from someone else who needed them back shortly after. I barely remember anything I watched. stuff like that should never be watched in under a week.:faint:

I'd take most anybody besides Carrey. except for Eddie Murphy. yay. I wish I lived in some major city so I could see it earlier too, lol. but one or two weeks won't kill me, I suppose. :toothy: my mom wants to see it too, which is odd, considering she normally doesn't like the kind of movies Tim Burton puts out. maybe she's coming into the light, lol.
Originally posted by Japan_86 ...One other character, whom I find rather annoying is the character, Peppermint Patty. When he starts talking, he would never stop. He would just go on and on. 8. I don't really have one particular favorite band or whatever, but the closest thing I've got to it (at the moment) is Coldplay. they just seem to get better with everything they do, from what I've heard. the Brothers and Sisters 'album' (made up of 3 songs) was good, their Parachutes album was really good, and then they came out with A Rush of Blood..etc., and it was great. their music is so mellow and relaxing, but not enough to put me to sleep. I'd like to get their new Live 2003 DVD, but the tide of money has not been with me very much lately.

they don't show the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show on TV anymore, do they? that show was cool, though. I liked most anything where they showed Linus, cuz he was the shiznit. him and his blanket and obsession with the Great Pumpkin. I think maybe my most favorite episodes had to do with Snoopy when he ran away from home to go back to the puppy farm where he was born (or something like that), and then tried to get back home to Charlie Brown. I forget the details. ah, such heartwarming good feelies.
10. back when I first saw the Disney Channel in.... '93, maybe? (new cable-ness ^_^), I was only 6 or 7, so I didn't pay as much attention to the shows catering towards the teenagers. I was all about the Gummy Bears and the claymation Disney train commercials ^_^. I do kinda wish that they still showed all the Disney cartoon shows, like Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers and such, but they've all been moved to Toon Disney. blah. they had some neat-o kid shows back in the day. the ones they play now just don't seem up to scratch compared to the old stuff. :p plus, they had Babysitter's Club, Flash Forward, and Ready or Not back then, which were also some of my favorite shows. I never liked Vault Disney, except for a few shows which I don't even remember. then again, that could also probably be due to the age I was at the time. I was into that Zoog Disney thing for a bit, too. they even showed my name and high score in the top 5 once. made me feel special. then I realized that nobody seriously watches or remembers those types of things anyway, and my slightly larger ego went back to normal. :cross: other than that, I like it more today, for the most part. after going through some particularly horrible and cheesy 'Disney Original Movies' and shows (ex: The Jersey, Can of Worms, Smart House, My Sister from Planet Weird, The Thirteenth Year, Zenon, etc. etc. etc.), they seem to have gotten most of it out by now. I'd prefer Even Stephens, That's So Raven, or even Lizzy McGuire to anything they used to play back in that time period. and their movies have improved quite a bit from what they used to be as well. certainly not the best stuff out there, but at least watchable to some degree. so now that I've gotten rid of one more skeleton from my closet, I'm gonna go do other stuff. yay.
11. there's going to be a church New Year's Eve Party for the youth at my house. unfortunately, I'm probably going to be the only person my age there, since one of my friends is out of town, and everybody else is probably going to a party that some people at school are throwing (I can't go, the church party being at my house and all :cross: ). so I'm gonna be surrounded by a crowd of loud, hyper 12 and 13-year olds, and 14 and 15-year olds who act like 12 and 13-year olds. heh, I think I'll just hog the Gamecube all night or something. probably not. sounds like a plan to me though :p.
12. PDA's involving tongue, and stuff that's further on from there are going too far, imo. it'd be really hard for somebody to mess up holding hands lol, so that'd be fine, along with normal hugging, etc. Don't think there'd be anything wrong with kissing, as long as tongue isn't involved, as said before. to sum it up in a nutshell, the PDA's that could be disgusting to look at if the wrong person did it are the ones that shouldn't be allowed at school, imo.
13. about four years ago, my mom told me that blonde highlights would look really good in my hair, and wanted to put them in for me. WELL, she ended up doing my entire head, and kept it in for about 15 minutes longer than it was supposed to stay in. by the time my hair had completely dried, I had a head full of orange-tinted, bright yellow hair. and then my mom made me go to a New Year's Eve party right after the terror was unleashed. I wanted to dieeeee. some kid at the party called me Vitamin C, even though his hair was the exact color as mine.
14. is it licensed, or do you have to download it off the internet? I've been dying to see it since I heard about it, but I couldn't find any downloads of it (yesh, I know *somewhat guilty look*), let alone any DVD's in stores and such, lol.
15.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie - Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer (VHS) ... 16. I haven't seen the anime, but I heard the manga is way better. not as drawn out (there's only 8 volumes, and all of it's great ^_^), and not as much filler. can't say for myself which is better, just that the manga is way awesome. from reviews I've seen, the manga ranked a lot better than the anime did though. I've also heard there's this Marmalade Boy TV special they have that goes over the very first time Yuu met Miki. know anything about it?
17. the cooolest thing we got this year is a PUPPY!!! she's this cute, white little chihuahua that we got from Tori and her family when Anna and I went to go send them their presents. so far we've decided on the name Puppet. teh cuteness. some other neato stuff I got today was the Italian Job soundtrack (yay!), some coolish-looking shirts and a skirt, light blue fleece bathrobe, a harmonica (?), Media Play gift certificate (not sure how much it's worth though ^_^'), candy (of course), and jewelry. one of my friends got me the Jason Mraz and Clay Aiken albums with a Chik-Fil-A cow plushie the day school let out, so I was really happy with that, too. yes, it's been a good, good Christmas.... *goes off and plays with Puppet* EDIT: as of now, her name is Pippen. ^_^
18.
Originally posted by wrist cutter But how many people actually take the time to think about what they're typing? Even though OB has a higher-level of post quality than most large forums, I still see lots of very basic grammar and spelling mistakes. Countless members still don't seem to know the difference between your/you're or there/their/they're...
or then/than, can't forget about that one, heh. yeah, that's pretty much about it. if I wasn't some perfectionist, I wouldn't give a second thought about how many typo's I had in one post, or if something wasn't spelled or written out correctly. unless your friend gets on message boards for the sole purpose of improving her writing skills, which I doubt is the case, lol.
19. all I really want are CD's, manga, and a few select books. money's good, too. so's anything else, but all the stuff I have on my list consists of those three things, so there they are in a nutshell.
20. heh, you pretty much already said anything I was thinking about saying, so yay. and you have some good points. but if she (or anyone else, for that matter) really is spending too much time on the computer (even if it is the OB ), then her mom has a valid point. if you're on for about 10 hours a day, that's well beyond overdoing it. of course, it depends on your opinion of what a reasonable amount of time to spend on the computer would be. mine is 2-3 hours a day at most, though some others might think a shorter or longer time fits better. and while it's all great to make friends online, it's not really helping to strengthen friendships with people who you actually hang out with in real life if you spend all day sitting at a computer, even if you talk to some of them online anyway. emails and chats don't allow you to be as personal as if you were in person or even speaking over the phone. yeah, you may learn how to be polite, but shouldn't you already know something about that anyway? :cross: a good dose of common sense should tell you what comments are and are not appropriate for criticism's sake. so yeah, the point I'm trying to make is imo, there's nothing wrong with using the Boards, as long as it doesn't take up half of your day. everything in moderation. EDIT: well, since I now know she doesn't spend much time on the internet from the edit you've made, then she's pretty much in the safe zone I guess, lol. you've gotta see things from her mom's perspective, though. If she's old enough (nice way to put it, I know :p), and she's going off of what things were like when she was a kid, she never grew up with computers, so the thought of her kid spending another hour with her face in front of a screen (when there's already TV) must not help things much. but hopefully she'll eventually get used to it.
21. indeed. presents bring out different.... personalities in different people. of course you're going to think about getting presents at some point if that's what you've gotten every Christmas for however long you've lived. some people just go overboard with it and are ungrateful or throw fits if they don't get exactly what they want. that's what you've gotta watch out for. I don't think there's anything that bad about any suspense of "hmm, I wonder what I'm getting for Christmas...", as long as it's not done to an extreme. but I also find that one of my favorite parts about Christmas is buying everybody's presents and wrapping them to go under the tree. I like getting people stuff, and Christmas is a good excuse to do it. hopefully a lot of other people feel the same way. :P
22. meesh, well, since I was dragged into this....not really... I might as well come up with a few. 1. spend at least one hour each night on homework (as opposed to the fifteen minutes to half an hour, 'cause I'm a slacker; at least this way I'll get maybe half of it done :p) 2. save at LEAST half of my money rather than spend it all the first chance I get... I'm really bad at that >.>' 3. practice music at the very least half an hour, five days a week 4. only get on the internet after I've completed numbers 1 and 3 at the end of the day hooo. after that one I think I'll stop here.
23.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel A law was recently passed (as in the past week) that makes unsolicited e-mails basically illegal. I forget the site exactly, but you forward those e-mails to them and they are added to their list of people to go after. It's some government site. I guess this should take care of a lot of the spam I get. I get very little, but what I do get doesn't let me unsubscribe. The link doesn't work or if you try to reply it tells you the e-mail doesn't exist, etc.
heh, you're not supposed to click on any unsubscribe link or such of the like in spam, because that just verifies that you saw and read the mail to the person making it. they'll just keep sending you even more stuff. speaking of that anti-spam law, a couple of weeks ago I would get at least 20 spams daily (and hoards more if I don't check it for days at a time). then when that law came out and they were talking about how this big-time spammer got arrested for sending substantial amounts of it, I notice I all of a sudden have about a fourth of that. today I checked my mail, and I had 6 letters in my Junk Box, and two of them were for things I had signed up for myself. this is much to my liking. *heavens part and ray of light shines on self*
24. I'm really wanting to see The Last Samurai, and it's a kind of no-brainer that I'm going to see LOTR, even if I didn't want to, lol (which certainly isn't the case). maybe Mona Lisa Smile also, but I'm not too sure about that yet. I hope Peter Pan is good, I love that story. I think I'll wait and see what the reviews say before I go see it though, since it has a chance of going either way, it looks like.

Clay Aiken!!!!

Clay Aiken, Clay Aiken.... he really comes off as rather odd to me. he doesn't exactly have really great looks, but his voice is absolutely awesome. such talent, and he chooses to blow it on pop music :p. nothing too wrong with the stuff he sings, but I'm in full agreement that he'd make the most out of his voice on a theatre stage than on a concert one. as for Hilary Duff, the only thing that I'm gonna say about her (for now) is that she can't sing her way out of a paper bag. she has a range of what, half an octave?
