Blood-thirsty Mosquitos of Doom

Fall

Yeah, I live near the woods; I got any bug you can think of! There's always these freaky, black little bugs with their butts up in the air all the time, and they seem to congregate upon the deck of my pool... :bawl:

Plus, yesterday when mowing the lawn, I made an amazing discovery; a giant black beetle about an inch or two long, and twice as fat as my thumb! It was friggin huge, and it attacked me! I thought it was a scarab, but it wasn't. Weird. And mosquitoes; don't get me started!

it would take 1.12 million mosquitos biting you at the same time to drain your entire blood supply. Fortunetly, they aren't that coordinated
*clutches head and rolls on the ground, frothing at the mouth* NO NO NO NO NO!!!! I didn't want to know that!

Who the hell comes up with these statistics? Are they insane?!?

The mosquitoes are worse this year then before. I live in Minnesota, and we have legendary mosquitoes, Alaska and Us. This year is worse because they have been attacking in the heat of the day or at midnight, doesn't matter to them.

*Need more bats*

Aww, that's no fun. To have a truly full life, you must go to a subtropical Hellhole with crickets that look like they could gnaw your head off, termites that can fly in loop-de-loops, and mosquitos that spawn like rabbits on Viagra. :toothy:

And flammable wasps. Those are slightly amusing. ^_^

We probably have just enough to do so...

How many of those 1.12 million mosquitos have West Nile and Yellow Fever and all that crap?

We get wasps over here like nothing else. You'll find their nests plastered over EVERYTHING. They are so badd, one time when my dad was out getting the mail and saw a wasps nest in the bushes nearby. He decides to burn the nest down with a BLOWTORCH!!! Not a smart idea. Needless to say, our bushes were raging infernos within seconds and my dad comes sprinting in like a bat out of he** swearing madly for water. Another time, me and a freind were knocking wasps nests off his house and I got a nest knocked onto my head. I came out of that incident for the worst. I looked like I'd swallowed a beachball. Fortunately, wasps don't suck blood, or I wouldn't be here today.

"They aren't that coordinated."

How much volume would that many mosquitos take up, anyway?

They hang around like they've got all day. Why does it take so damn long for a wasp to find its way out of a room, even if you open the window it's on? Don't have the faintest idea. And I suppose someone does...? :smirk: Maybe they just like human beings.. :drunk:

I hear that there is even a more serious disease than malaria/yellow fever that mosquitos are able to carry. Im not exactly sure what it is called, but it is more deadly than malaria.
I stayed at my cousin's lake house in wisconsin once, and the lake that it was by had soooo many dragon flies! I got about 10 bites (or are they more like scratches?) and it hurts when they do that, so i had 20 slashes on my arms and legs from where they got me! now that lake has way too much scum over the top of it..so noone in our family really goes there anymore..which is lucky..cuz those dragon flies were psychotic!

Bugs love me. Apparently they love me too much. As soon as I go outside, ZOOM! They all go dashing to me.

Joy. :grumble:

A few weeks ago, I went walking in the woods with some friends of mine to visit an old abandoned ambulance. How it got there, I don't know. It was practically empty, so I guess some moron got tired of it and crashed it there. Anyway, it started raining harder, so we went back to the house and started playing gamecube. Then I felt something bite me on the arm. I look down. There is a chigger there. I peel the chigger off of my arm. Another bite. Another chigger. I peel that one off as well. Another bite. This time, I look all over my arms, AND THEY WERE SWARMING WITH THE PESKY THINGS!!! I jumped up and started flicking them off of me, then I realized that they were on my face, all over my shirt, and all over my pants. Geez, you would think that they were spontaneously springing forth from my clothes! I managed to get rid of at least 200 of them that day, but when I got home, I found at least 300 more. They itched for an entire week, and I still have the scabs. --;

Tical, and I mean this with all due respect, but:

What. The. Heck.

Do not bring back old threads. And for the love of chocolate, if you do, at least bring them back with a coherent post!
