OOC:I really hope this isn't considered double posting.
But I have to leave for the weekend.

IC: V'sh'thou looked around at the eyes staring at him, they hated him like everyone he'd met. The cycle continued, he would mean no harm, then they would make their Judgement.

The shadow's eyes softened a bit, he let the tendrils loose, "You shall hear me again, when you are truely ready to listen."

He sank into the ground, no longer could his presence be felt in the area.

Trilby rushed to her friends, helping them to their feet. She had been ready to kill that thing if it had not let Kudara go. Sarah rubbed at her arms. They were sore from the tendrils holding them. Trilby let go of her friends and looked on the horizon, where the sun was starting ot set. Everyone was leaving, when Rika turned around and called,"Come on, Trilby. We need to go!" Trilby turned and followed her friends, but the shadow's words were all she could think about. 'You shall hear me again, when you are truley ready to listen...'

Kudara looks to Trilby and the others and decides to follow in the shadows. This to protect and see what they are doing.

"See you later Trilby!" With that he flipped into the air and seems to disappear in the shadows.

"Hopefully..." Trilby called out.

Kudara folled his fellow friends, guardians. He shall be a guardian to all of them when he could. But he would always protect the planet also. He sighed and kept up to the pace of Trilby and the other.

Kudara watched as Trilby lagged behind the others. She kicked out at a rock, sending it skipping across the ground. She sighed. She was almost in pace with Kudara, who wondered why she was behind. Rika dropped back and tried to comfort her. " Look, that thing is gone. Sarah and Kudara are safe. By the way, why did you never tell me about him?"

Hikage felt a presence around her. She stopped and looked around. She closed her eyes and felt it again. It wasn't evil, but it wasn't a correct form. It felt like a spirit was following her.

Hikage opened her eyes and her katanas were glowing. She thought nothing of it and sheathed them. She kept walking with the others.

As she walked down the path, the strange feeling came over her again. Someone or something was following her. She kept walking, but kept a close watch. She did not want to frighten the others.

Nightfall set fairly soon, and shadows cast across the entirety of the road, slowly lights flickered on. The sun turned to crimson, to pink, and finally to violet. The black infinity of the sky began to echo the rouge of a full moon.

V'sh'thou found the darkened shadows far more accomodating, now able to freely move from shadow to shadow. He was careful to keep his presence hidden, however, but figured at least one of the group could easily manifest his presence.

Bastards. I treat them to my power and they throw it in my face! Self Righteous kids, out to prove their worth in a world that could destroy them, led by their own naive ambition! , V'sh'thou blamed the guardians for the earlier mishap, for you see, he was more than a guardian of his element, he was the Master. He melted from shadow to shadow unbeknownst to the group.

They will understand! If they cannot learn from their own misunderstandings, they do not deserve to survive! , he reasoned, But I have never seen this before. They could become masters. They could suceed like myself.

The shadowlord contemplated his next move.. considering the damage he could cause, and how such a schism could hinder their potential. He came to a conclusion, he must reason with one of them. The shadow master's essence descended towards them, unseen until he came to the nearest of the group, reaching up with one hand he grabs Trilby by the tunic, yanking her into the shadow which rippled like syrup. The young elemental guardian was taken into the shadow realm, at unimagionable speeds into the deepest of darknesses that only night could provide.

"Do not fear what is happening to you, If you cannot trust me, you cannot survive, do not let go of my hand", V'sh'thou shot back towards the startled warrior as they descended deeper into the obsidian pool.

Hikage tried to search for Trilby, but she was nowhere to be found. She had a feeling it was the being they met earlier. She closed her eyes and searched for Trilby. She couldn't. They were both deep within the shadows. She clenched her fists and kept walking. The others turned and she just pushed them along. The being and Trilby were bound to come up.

"If that shadow thing doesn't bring back Trilby, I swear I will do anything just to get her back. He will pay. Even if it means giving my life or doing something, I will get her back. I will."

Trilby gripped the shadows hand and said to herself, I cant beleive Hikage didnt warn me. She sighed. She tried to get bearings on where she was, but the lack of air was starting to get to her. She wasnt used to the shadow world and their air was slightly different. She HAD to trust the shadow. Oddly, she DID trust him. Like she knew him once. Her mind stated to fade out as she lost conciousness. The last thing she felt was a soft wisp of cold air and the shadows hand as she slipped into oblivion...

V'sh'thou stopped almost suddenly, the ichor of darkness began to echo around them. He was at his home deep within the bowels of the shadows. He noticed the mortal he had been escorting seemed to shake. Nervousness? Shock? V'sh'thou watched her drift in and out of conciousness, slowly he shaped the world around him into a faux of the mortal realm. With a snap shadows formed chairs, a room, desks, flickering blue flame that cast their light like inverted shadows, the room seemed to ripple like calm water.
He set her softly upon a chair, letting his figure drip from the floor upwards , taking the shape of the teenaged boy.

"Wake up, please.", he asked bluntly, she blinked.

"Welcome to my realm, you need not fear your existence, the shadow is quite hard to get used to, I'm actually surprised by your fortitude, most people are fairly unconscious by this time. I suppose that makes things earlier for the both of us." he raised an eyebrow, "I'm assuming you are wondering why I've brought you here."

Kudara seen the shadow creature take Trilby and followed as long as he could. Before his eyes the being and Trilby disapeared. Blending into the shadows, Kudara searched through the streets. The street lights making a shadow of his self moving quickly on top of the buildings.

"Dang it, I lost her. I blinked and she and the shadow figure disapeared. It seems I am no Elemental Guardian."

He sighed but decided to stop until he fount Trilby. Searching...searching...each area of the town. Some of the out skirts of the city. No luck he could not find them. Breathing heavily he stopped and fell unconcious from tiredness.

Hikage called upon the power of the moon to send down its beam to show the way the being and Trilby went. A path of blinding darkness appeared and Hikage stepped into it. She followed the path as she neared somewhere. She stopped and looked forward to her surroundings. It was a dark forest filled with many shadows and darkness.

Hikage kept going. She was determined to get Trilby. Although, she had just met Trilby, she felt that she knew her once....as well as the being.

She closed her eyes and somehow, the shadows pulled her in.

Elsewhere, V'sh'thou felt someone being pulled into the shadows toward him. He smirked and kept Trilby there, waiting for whoever shall come.

Awakening from himself being passed out state. Kudara pushed himself off the ceiling of a school building.

"Ah..my head hurts." Kudara mumbles as he rubs his forehead.

Quickly he scanned the area but no sign of Trilby. He once again started out to find Trilby this time. Finding a trace of Arika. Arika had left a small peice of clothing. Almost invisible in the shadows of the town. He picked it up and put it in his right side pocked following the trail where she had went. Although it went to a black portal type thing, made of the shadows. What will happen next...Kudara thinks to himself...

V'sh'thou felt the presence of another faint in the distance, " Looks like you have valuable friends, this limits our time ." He swiveled her chair to face him as he paced slowly, wrather, slithered like an evening shadow, slowly across the obsidian floor.

"You have to realize that I am not here to harm anyone. I tested you and you reacted like children!" he grew spiteful, "I swear, with great power comes responsibility, and you don't just lock ANYONE up in an energy cage! I get ahead of myself.." regaining his composure, "As time is limited I'll make this short, I want to give you a chance. I want to enlighten you with my wisdom, I want to protect you from every shadow, but you must grow in your own mastery. I want to teach you how to master the element, how to grasp it within your fingers and manipulate it like the sound of your voice, like the thoughts shaping your mind."

He let his shadowy tendrils support Trilby as she suffered the effects of a foreign realm, "In a few moments you will be returning to your realm, and unable to reach me. I want you to tell them, for me. Tell them I am not here to hurt you, that I am here to help you, perhaps in time, the trust shall be formed. Until then, I give you the opportunity to a single question. What question might you have that i might answer?"

He crooked a sadowy eyebrow, letting his innocent features shine as he looked up towards the blue chandoleir. He sat, waiting for Trilby to compose herself.

The presence would be here soon.

Hikage was accustomed to the Shadow World right when she got pulled in. She closed her eyes and somehow she became one with the shadows.

She opened her eyes and felt herself getting closer and closer to the being. Something was calling out to it. V'Sh'Thou, V'Sh'Thou. Hikage's eyes turned a pitch black as she got pulled in.

Soon, she came to a shadowed room. She was dropped in and found Trilby. Something told Hikage that Trilby was becoming weak.

"You do know that Trilby is not accustomed to the Shadow World as you and I?"
"Yes, I am aware of that. But, how can you be accustomed to my world"
"I thought you would have some kind of idea. Well, I am accustomed for the reason that I was born exactly when the sun and moon were together in the sky, not an eclipse, but when the sun and moon could be seen clearly. It is also because, I was born in the shadow realm. When the sun and moon came together it created a portal that took my mother, who has the element of the Sun and my father who had Moon. But I believe Trilby will ask you something."

Trilby gasped," Water. It is my element so I can breath it like air." She slumped down again and Hikage's arms circled her shoulders. She felt her strength returning, and said a single word to the shadow. " Why?"

Catching up with the other guardians. Kudara noticed that Hikage was missing. She must of went to help Trilby...Trilby I hope you are okay

Meanwhile he kept in the shadows away from the others and kept a close eye on them. If anything happened to them he would not forgive himself. Nothing seemed to be going wrong.

His mind kept thinking of trilby. His friendship since his child years, seem to flash infront of his eyes. Remembering when he first met Trilby in the first grade. They seemed to get along and took up for each other...

"Why?", V'Sh'Thou reinterated Trilby's question. His soft, pallid, lips curling into an enlightened grin, his eyes beaming with darkness, he switched his gaze towards Hikage. His eyes narrowed slightly, "Simple.", her replied, "because you cannot fail." He stroked Trilby's cheek softly, "No my friends, I cannot let you fail. You must master the elements you so earnestly hold dear, and I shall help you. But you must drop the melodrama."

He glared at Hikage upon mentioning melodrama. "I shall return you both now. Expect to see me again, I shall always be watching."

With the final words, the shadows drew apart, like smoke clearing a fan. Trilby could feel her normal breath returning to her. The shadow had gone, as had the chair, table, candles, everything. They now stood at the place where trilby was drawn into the void, under a dree, drenched in it's willowy shado. Hikage helped Trilby to her feet, she now knew that this shadow master was no enemy, perhaps he would become their greatest ally.

Trilby panicked. Urgently she looked up to Hikage. " The others, are they..." Hikage said," Their fine. You were the only one taken and I followed you." Trilby clossed her eyes and leaned up against the tree. She had been so worried about Kudara. They had been friends since the first grade, and had always watched out for each other. He had left her after being gone for a year, and she missed him. Her thoughts driftd to her child hood and Kudaras voice, calm, serene, and gentle, still range in her ears. She didnt noticed, but her feelings had seemed to change from friendlyness to protectiveness and caring towards her lifelong friend.

Gene looked around. He noticed that trilby and hikage had come back from the shadow creature's world. "Come on you two they're back" gene said waling away. "Who are you talking about gene" rika asked. "Haven't you noticed that trilby and hikage have been gone for awhile" gene asked. Rika and sarah looked around. "Why didn't you tell us" sarah asked. "Because I have faith that trilby can handle her self and that hikage will help her if she needs help" gene said as he started walking down the rode. A couple of minutes later they came upon trilby and hikage. "So how did it go" gene asked. It went fine. He just wanted to talk" trilby said.

"He wants to help us, and i think he may prove to be a useful ally.," Trilby said. She looked back over her shoulder and glanced at the last place she hd seen Kudara. " I just wish Kudara would eather stay with us or leave. His choice," she mummbled under her breathe. Her face was passive, but her eyes clearly showed her concern for him. I wish he would make up his mind alread, Trilby thought. Gene waved a hand in front of her face. " Hello, anyone home? Look, we're all going back to the cafe, if you want to come," he said. Trilby looked at him, then said," Yeah, sure, i guess..." She followed the others, but not before taking a quik glance over her shoulder.

"Hmmmmmmmm did we even pay for our food we were eating before we left in such a hurry?" rika asked with her eyebrow raised. "Ummm...Did we? I don't remember." Sarah replied. Just then they were in front of the cafe (they wer talking while walking) and one of the waitress came outside to yell at them for not paying. "Well It looks like we know now." Trilby said as she reached into her pocket for money and paid the watress. "Yeah so what next?" asked Gene. But this question was ansered as Rika started to twich violently and her pupils deilated as her eyes turned dark, dark blue. So blue almost black...."Oh God! Rika!! Rika! Are you alright?!" Trilby asked while screaming. "Mama?....Papa? You're alive?" Rika whispered as her eyes rolled up into her head...."We need a doctor! Where's a doctor?!" Sarah was screaming now. "A doctor won't do anything for that." Kudara said as he apperaed next to Trilby and Rika. "Wait Mama, Papa....I'm coming!...Don't leave me! Never leave me again!" Rika said as she colesed her eyes....

Trilby held Rika in her arms. Kudara kneeled next to Rika and Tribly. Sarah and Gene stood next to them. Hikage looked down to them. She kneeled down and had Kudara and Trilby grab Rika and bring her to a bus stop nearby.

There, Hikage put her hands on her head and closed her eyes. She could feel strong vibrations inside her mind, her mental/emotional mind. She opened her eyes and had Trilby hold Rika's hand.

"Trilby, I want you to keep talking to Rika. Kudara...I believe you know what to do."

"Ahh! What is this? What is this monster?" Kudara collapsed after seeing the eyes of some create. The creature seemed to control a earth power...

Kudara layed there on the ground. Hikage was quickly by his side. Trying him back too...Kudara still was unconcious. Hikage new that it had to be a horrible site.

"We will have to wait until Kudara recovers...It drained him of his power it seems...or could it be something else." Hikage nodded to trilby.
