It deserves to be seen more often. [B]Point 2[/B]: A newspaper has to be up on current events. As it stands, by the time most of these articles get published, the topic is either dying or dead and buried. At that point, the newspaper is really only playing the same role as Otakupedia in telling events that have already passed. As a matter of fact, for the first two weeks or so of the month, [B]Konata[/B], our member of the month was posting like crazy. I haven't seen any posts from her in almost 2 weeks now, though. (the same thing happened with [B]Affection[/B]... I think I'm spreading a curse around :animeswea) [B]Point 3[/B]: More people will pay attention if the thread is more active. More attention means more submissions and the activity will really get rolling. As of yet, I think the newspaper is underappreciated in all it's glory. I will single-handedly produce enough articles to print in two weeks if necessary. To give an example, I have yet to be able to submit my own article on the Sci - Fi Showdown since the final judge has yet to give their vote, there are other articles that people were working on that didn't get sent in. And then there's the need for time for the editors to actually check things over and get them back. If we can find a way to counter those issues this probably could be done more often. Like my own article. I'm thinking of simply writing it up anyway, even though the winner has yet to be declared. I'm not sure if the threads being a little older is too bad though, since I'm sure plenty of people may have never bothered to read the thread so from that standpoint they don't all have to be fairly current. I think that would put to much pressure on people when it comes to writing up articles. Though it wouldn't hurt to shoot for having more current stuff in there as well. [B] EDIT:[/B] Oh yeah, I think James is going to do an announcement when an issue goes up so that should help with getting the word out about a new edition being up. Maybe interview someone about an RPG they made. Like when the article for the Ponopticon was made, interview a player about an RPG. I know I'd like to interview DB about his last two RP's, Esper Jam and Shinigami Dance, and I'm part of both Rp's, so an article wouldn't be hard for me to make. Right now we are only publishing an edition once a month, so the next edition is not due until the first week of September. What's sad is, I was all worried over wheter a thread like that would be okay, and I even sent like a page-length thesis to Dagger asking if it would be okay following certain guidelines, and before I got te return PM, Revy had already started the other two and Dagger was just like 'sure, why not.'
