Anime Question about Goten...

I haven't seen the Cell saga yet and I've got a question...

Is Goten in the Cell saga? Or is the Buu saga the first time you see him?

Goten was born during the seven years after the Cell saga. He was most likely conceived during the 10 days before the Cell Saga (after Trunks was defeated and Cell decided to give them some time to prepare for the Cell Game.)

This most likely means that Goten was conceived by a Super Saiyan Goku (since he never returned to normal during those 10 days).

Little Flute San is right. The first time Goten appears is in the Great Saiyaman saga. The ep called "Gohan Goes to High School" I believe.

No...he was born [i]after the Cell Saga[/i], like everyone else's post says. If he was born during the Cell Saga, he would be ten, and he is eight at the tournament (or is it seven?), so yes, he isn't born during Cell, and he shows up in Great Saiyaman Saga (small thing before Buu Saga)

Goten couldn't have had been born after the Cell saga, because it was durimng the cell saga that Goku died. and ur saying that Goten was born 2 yrs. after the cell saga, so how exactly can ChiChi have Goten after the cell saga, when Goku was dead??

Now, the Cell saga was seven (7) years after the Buu saga. There is only one way this could have happened. In those 10 days before the Cell game, Goku ::ahem:: conceived Goten with Chi-Chi, and he was born nine (9) months later. Perhaps it was a little more than 7 years after the Cell game that the Buu saga took place, because Goten was 7 years old, and they had to give Goten 9 months to be born. He could not have been born during the Cell game because Chi-Chi looked fine around the waist, and during the time when she was at Roshi's house and Goku was asleep, Goten was no where to be found.

ok goten was born like maybe a couple of months after the cell games.For some f'd up reason they dont show goten until the episode after gohan goes to high school.When gohan goes off to high school for the first time chi-chi says it is lonely with out gohan around now that goku is dead.the buu saga happened 8 years after the cell games because great saiyaman saga was 7 years after then the world tournament saga was 1 year after that.The buu saga comes next and thats on the babidi saga is next and lasted a good 5-15 eps then buu came only 2-5 months later most likely.ok done here.

The world tournament wasn't a year after the saiyaman saga. I think it was a few months at the most.

That explains why Goten went ssj at a much younger age than Gohan even though they have the same amount of saiyan blood in them.

Maybe the reason Goten is still seven in the Buu saga would have to be that the Buu saga began around the month of Goten's birthday. And yes the only time he could be conceived would be teh ten days before the Cell Games. Chi-Chi (insert your own joke) was probably happy the virus didn't kill Goku.=)

Son Goten was 6 at the beginning of the Buu Saga. Supposedly 7 by the time the Tenka Ichi Budoukai started.

During the rest time before the Cell Games, Gokou and Chichi must've done 'it' and then a few weeks after Cell Games, Goten was born, being that there was a seven year lapse between sagas.

If I remember correctly, Using the Daizenshuu's year of birth for Son Goten he would be around 6 initially. And by the time of the tournament he had reached 7.

But that [b]is[/b] based on the theory that Son Gokuu boinked Chi-Chi during the 10 day break before the Cell Saga(which was probably started by a doujinshi). In my opinion I think it happened before the Artificial Humans came. It would be more pratical since Son Gokuu was searching for the Dragonballs a couple of those 10 days. And if Son Goten was 7 the entire Buu Saga. I'll go research it some.

EDIT: I looked and it has Son Goten listed as being born in 767(the year of the Cell Saga.) And the start of the Buu Saga as being 774. So he would be 7. According to the dub the Artificial Humans appeared on May 10th 767. If he was indeed concieved during the 10 days before the Cell games(sometime during the end of May) he wouldn't be born until Feburary or March. Which could mean he would be six during the beginning of 774. Yet by the time it picks up during what appears to be the fall(since school was starting) he would indeed be 7. OK I'm confused so I will stop there.

You all keep acting like 9 months is a year. Yes, it is CLOSE to a year but if if Goten in conceived within those ten days or right before the andriods (cause I dunno how Goku and Chichi could get away from Roshi during the 10 days) then Chichi wouldn't look pregnant or possibly even know yet. Then 9 months later Goten is born, it'll still be in the year Cell came. So it would be possible for Goten to be 7 at the start of the Buu Saga, maybe just in his younger 7's.
