Zeh's first name was actually Trunks, way back in v1. Oh, wow, Des, I had completely forgot that you were jcgoudy. For some reason, I remembered you as two different people.
He was Zayle for a while too. That's where the Z came from in Zeh, when the whole Break 'eh' jumpoff happened lol. *is proud lone survivor of 'eh' handle* -

Dragonball - Battle Field: End of the Universe (by Final Flash) Category: Notable Threads General info Created by Final Flash back when The Arena was still Games & Stories, DB:Battle Field was the first epic RPG of OtakuBoards. Made during late v1/early v2, Flashy would create a new thread for each story arc. Each arc would be fully planned out by Flash with an endpoint in mind which he would push for as individual character stories progressed. The 'roster' of the RPG was relatively open although there was little to no change to it after the switch to v3 (due to which the first 3 threads are missing). Originally RPers posted stats of their characters, similar to the power levels seen in DragonBall Z. These were meant to be slowly increased as the character would undergo whatever forms of training. After a while these stats faded away, having become obnoxiously huge and obsolete, and serving no real purpose. At the time this departure from stats was very unheard of for RPGs of a similar nature, but this separation from stats seemed to cause the DB:BF posters to find another purpose for writing (other than trying to be the strongest). This caused an explosion in concept exploration (time travel; perception of time; space travel; alternate dimensions; death & reincarnation; blahblah) and character development (side-quests; personal feuds, alliances & rivalries; history; more blah blah) on top of Flashy's tournaments, villains and twists. The post-quality was probably, at times, still as poor (relative to the high quality maintained these days) as in other RPGs from the same era, but this improved over time. Posters Final Flash Warlock Dragonballzman PiroMunkie AJeh Sephiroth Raiha End DB:BF had a climactic end: a 2-part post by Flash in which the universe ended. All participants of the RPG were satisfied with its end, even after over 40 pages and nearly 1600 posts. Flash attempted to revive the 'franchise' with DB:BF - Post Apocalypse, a back-due-to-popular-demand continuation of the story with fresh characters in a new universe. Many new RPers also signed up such as Chaos, DeathKnight, Juuthena, Shinobi and Mitch. This sequel pretty much flopped as it couldnt live up to the hype of the original: whilst it was the post quality was much higher and the same degree of planning was put forth by Flashy, it didnt have any groundbreaking ideas in it to keep anybody's attention for too long. Nosedive.
I personally cannot even remember what ZF stood for.
Z-Fighter lol. This was during the DBZ phase in the later part of v2's life (I remember that time's events well.. everything afterwards blurs together lol). It was one of the first clans too. Back then everyone could change their username themselves (which made things confusing, whoo boy), so all the clan members added ZF as a prefix to their names. (eg; "AJ2K1 aka MegaSaiyanBrolly" became "ZF AJ2K1 aka MegaSaiyanBrolly". Really.) No-one could revert back to their original screennames though for some reason lol ('N-man =p). So as the ZF thing died down, people ended up switching to screennames similar to their originals, but not the same. Just because they couldnt lol. Another clan back around the same time was the Master Debators (I can't remember how it was punctuated lol), started by Charles himself. I think he used to be Great White Frying Pan Man back then. Or something to do with a fish. Good times lol. -

The thimoc entry.. didnt he end up having like a whole fleet of hackers (or was it spammers?) named after him that made OB crash for a little while? They all had similar names or something, like th1moc, I think. This was right when OB went from v2 to v3.. or v3 to v4. I forget in my old e-age =/ And as for voodookanaka, he joined in 2001. I remember cos he joined on April 1st, the fool lol, and I joined on the 30th (first and last of the month). I suggest an entry for the Juuthena phenomenon. I miss that crazy girl lol. Edit: Des, you should restart-up that OB Picture Archive lol -
Haha, maybe Kuja should get an early entry too.. in a nice red font with plenty of winks.[/size']
:o You capitalised the first letter! He'll get you in your sleep y'know.. EDIT: Final Flash, Break, voodookanaka, Desert Shadow plzk? -
^Alan smells lol. OB is so obviously my primary school field, but many times bigger. It has that mini-hill to one side of the middle. There's a a astro-turf football pitch behind the hill. But nobody plays there. Everyone just plays in the middle of the field. Except for random cliques who just walk around. It's a playground :animesigh

To White:
http://movies.ign.com/articles/745/745347p1.html
Ta-da!

I thought it was a kinda meh film =/ Definitely the most gory. I think what made me feel the most squeamish was
the detective from Saw II smashing his ankle up
. I could never bring myself to do that lol. I thought the twist(s) were way too obvious and felt very forced too, almost. But I dont think there's many other ways they could've took it. The ending also felt like 15 minutes extra long.
Is Jeff the new Jigsaw? Because after Jigsaw dies, he says he wants to play a new game. And he has Jeff's daughter hidden somewhere. Also I heard Saw was going to be made into a continuing franchise so yeah, imo it would make sense for him to 'live for revenge' as the new Jigsaw.
What White said about the 3 traps sounds pretty smart too lol. But I heart Saw 2 & 1 still.

..anyway. What religion are you currently following? If you don't have one, then why? Islam Why do you follow that religion? Parents, personal reasons, etc? Was born into a Muslim family. That isnt to say I dont believe in what I was taught though. I'm not still a Muslim for my family lol. Personal reasons yo. Do you ever feel that people often criticise you because of these beliefs? Yes. It's all the rage dontcha know.. I'm not gonna cry about it though. Do you believe that your religion is the one true religion? If so provide evidence. Provide evidence? lol. Are you trying to start a flamewar? Yeah, I believe what I believe is worth believing in. While I can take comments about my religion, I dont think it's fair to joke about religion because those who are strong followers of a faith are usually extra-sensitive about it (no duh, sorry). You have to consider that God, to someone who believes in Him/Her/It/Them, is supposed to be more important than anything worldy including family etc. Hideously poor comparisons but, for all you know, it could be as bad as joking about a dead family member or rape to them - bad taste. Having said that imo I dont think anybody above was joking like that towards 13thMan, but just thought I'd throw in my 2 British pennies :)

When I say New York, what do you think of?
conpiracymonki replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Friends. The old show I mean. And the phrase "The Big Apple". And yes. Being not from NY or even the US, we couldnt care less that NYC isnt = NY. :) -
As cliche as it's going to sound, my worst problem was myself. Financially and blah blah, everything's always been peachy enough to get by. My family arent dysfunctional to the point of abuse or anything. I'm not physically impaired in any way and socially and academically everything was always good. There was a point 2 years ago after my GCSEs where I sort of burnt out and felt as though I was everybody's trophycase or something because I did so well in my exams. I lost all my motivation and drive because I felt like everything I was doing was inevitably for everybody except myself lol. I just ended up blaming my burning out on anyone and everyone I could get away with blaming lol (read: family). I was almost like 2 different people at home and outside the house. So yeah. Overperforming and my dumbass perspective of life at the time totally screwed me over, cos it had a whole domino effect over the past 2+ years lol.
I was never much a huge fan of Steve Irwin - I think he was definitely a total charicature of Australians..
Feels weird that he died like that, because he was always being so jammy and getting out of dangerous situations. But I guess it was only inevitable sooner or later it'd happen: you can only keep flipping tails for so long. Like someone else mentioned though, I think it was only fitting he passed away like this.
..you can only admire the man for his unrivalled dedication.[/size']
^I kid you not lol. I cant believe
there wasnt a fight between badguy & random kickboxer
:( I was expecting it the whole way through cos it seemed random enough to be perfect! But alas! Enough disappointment for three consecutive exclamations! Film was great fun though :)

Be a man and go through all 10,000 combos :p If you're still even slightly considering returning it, return it now. Once you unlock it, it's gonna be damn harder to return. More of a temptation and all. That's all I'm gonna say cos you dont need another conscience in this thread lol. Hidden message of the day: nice find =)
KreeeeeeeePOW.[/color']
^What he said. If I told you all to shut up and quit asking stupid questions but you all ignored me, it doesnt mean I never said it. I'll never understand what's so complicated about it at all. I mean, if something only existed if you yourself experienced it, there'd be a loophole around everything.

How far does friendship take you?
conpiracymonki replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in General Discussion
I think it's kinda selfish to be worried about what he'll think about you when his basic health is at risk. Do what you think is best for him regardless of how he'll take it, and expect him to not appreciate what you did for him. Friendship is smelly lol. -
OK I dont play any instrument, but I dont think it's really fair to have members compete against each other for spots in this band if it's to be like all official or whatever. I was thinking instead, maybe you could have like a 'manager' (Marsh or Shy or whoever). And they would have a list of all musical Otakus willing to contribute toward projects, and a list of the instruments they all play. The manager could then choose a project (say a cover of the Mario tune, doesnt matter what). They could also then name the main instruments for the said projects, and these instrument players would then make the bulk of the tune up. And then extra players could then flesh out the song with oboes and cymbals etc. This way I reckon it'll be less exclusive and give more people a chance to contribute to the 'band'. You could rotate drummers (etc) between songs and stuff too. Or have each person do different segments of the song. It's not like you're limited to one of each instrument per song for any reason. Yay inclusivity!

I think Dragon Warrior is like a mini-Break, even though they were on this Board at the same time for quite a good while. I miss my Weh.. :(

So this is the second time I lost in 18 years (and in my week since being introduced to it, shut up). Is that a decent losing streak? I need to remember about the Game oddly enough next time I meet my friends. So then I can make their lives hell. Whee. It'll be worth it :)

So me and DeadSeraphim were on msn discussing the awesomosity (get with the program already, losers) of the heavenly fruit that is mango. Now, originally, the conversation was regarding the plural of the word: mangos.. or mangoes? I'm pretty sure only one of them is correct, but couldnt quite place my finger on which it was (bare with me here; this is going somewhere). But of course, we're talking about mango here, there shouldnt be any excuse for not knowing the plural on my part, but also no excuse for not having both plural forms of the noun on the part of the written English language (UK, American, Australian spelling or otherwise). Of course one cant discuss mangoes (I'll stick with this plural form for now) without discussing their price, which is obviously high due to them needing to be imported from tropical countries. I took it upon myself of course at this point to inform DeadSeraphim of how in the past, the British monarchy considered replacing the jewels in the crown with pieces of mango. This was meant to symbolise the exquisite nature of the growing British Empire. Unfortunately, it became apparent that mango had a short best-by date, and so would not bode well in coming years encrusted within the crown (also, the chosen pieces were allegedly stolen). After my interesting anecdote, which really was worth noting, our conversation topic changed to that of the mango importers: horny Spanish men who could flamenco. And this is where my partial-definition of gooditude comes in: Gooditude n. 1. Of a high standard of awesomosity, eg mango and all related plurals and derivative products (especially nectar) 2. Antonym of horny Spanish men who can flamenco
