From what I read/heard/whatever, X3 is the last in the trilogy but not in the X-Men franchise or even series. I didnt like some of the jokes, but that's about where my complaints end. Also Angel is such a girlyboy lol.
Damn though, I was like ":o you killed everyone in the film!" at the end. I kinda expected Jean to bring back Cyclops and the Prof somehow at the end so was pleasantly(?) surprised when that didnt happen lol.

The first season of Lost just only recently started here in the UK. I've known about it when it came out in the US thanks to a download-crazy friend who obsesses over the show and watches each show as soon as it's up, lol. He's a year ahead of everyone else here. I missed the first 2 episodes so I've decided to just rob the first season off my friend when he can be bothered to hook me up. Hate watching things partway in. Soon I shall see what the fuss is all about *dun dun dunnn*

Don't have any proof of this but I've seen a road in/near Bolton, Greater Manchester (UK) called
Hornydyke Ave
.. you could probably find it on a A-Z.. My brother goes to a boarding school up in Bolton and we go u to visit him near enough every Sunday, and on my many adventures there I've seen the roadsign, although I can't seem to find the road on streetmap.co.uk etc. EDIT: Went today and it was "Thorny..", missed out a T -.-

Peeks At A Life Through Poetry The Vacation During My Holiday I stare out my plain window at Manchester Rain and hail. It's so dark and too cold to play on concrete and grass. Nothing to do except work but I'm wearing my headphones- Too busy holidaying. -A poem written by Face taken from his diary, 18th December 2003 Wish Upon A Moon When streetlights blow the stars out of the indigo skies, The children and thieves look up, hoping to see the red moon instead. Deep within the city, everybody has a wish to make. -A poem written by Face taken from his diary, 6th January 2004 Boy In The Book Interlude The boy in the book, He couldn't turn the page he was on so he waited for someone to dare read his tale And turn his pages for him so he could be unstuck and continue on his travels. -A poem written by Face taken from his diary, 7th February 2004 I Won't Wait A broken merry go round I will not wait for the world to spin for me Don't bother to save me a seat Building my own world to spin for me I ride alone stopping for no one There are no more seats. -A poem written by Face taken from his diary, 28th March 2004 Curtain of Colours I sit to myself for an eternity that just isn't long enough. I have people to see and places to go so I hide myself behind a smile and a curtain of colours. -A poem found by reporter Lois Chase after the interview with the youngest Legionnaires, scribbled on a small scrunched up piece of paper, 4th August 2005

Oh okay. I was thinking it could've been secret because of the fact that the posting order was PMed to us and not shown 'publicly' in our Team threads.. maybe for some sort of what's-next suspense :animesigh Anyway, what I wanted to ask: If you're posting last, do you get to close the story off how you wish or do we leave a gap for a Arbiter closing afterwards or what? :animeknow
-
I was just about to say something but then I realised it may or may not be 'confidential'.. Shy, is the posting order of any team to be kept secret at all or can we mention that freely? Random small question that just hit me now. People shouldn't doubt Sage's experience with RPGs, lol. I've been in a couple of his and FF Survivor > *. And also if you guys have anything to say to someone directly why not PM them ;p (like me because I rock)
-
Hey Sage why not contact your Team Leader and see if you can work out a way to get your turn earlier/next? Just a thought..
-
Lol, I'm fine with it as it is and I think the busier people will appreciate the slower pace once things start to kick in. Also, with more time you can write a more kick-*** post when it comes to your own turn. And maybe later there'll be more teams at the same time.. maybe some Legionnaires will be promoted as the story goes on. As the story goes on it's bound to get faster what with people (that would've had to otherwise post) dying left and right, lol. That is if we survive til then ;p Besides, this to me feels more like a giant shared story than a rpg. So I like not having to dedicate lots of time to planning and writing and getting more time to read other stuff.

Not everyone is/will be free everyday so you can't expect people to post on the day with a project on such a large-scale. I know I'm not gonna be able to post so often as soon as college starts up for me again. So just chill out man, and join another RPG in the meanwhile, lol. Hell, I'm free now but I'm set to post last in the Blue Team, the biggest team right now. Also I received the basics from Blue Team Leader Sparks.. is there anything else we may need to know that may be PMed to us in the near future (like padded out story or conditions to meet etc) or is our part in the mission only affected by the posts above us? Thanks.

I remember Reboot. Fond memories of it. I remember when that little kid grows up and goes to look for his brother Bob or whatever. Coolness. I also remember being sad that he never did (did he?). I remember watching Reboot during the holidays and then having to go sleepover at my cousin's house while my parents went hospital. My eldest sister was born the next day, lol. So random fond memory.

Callsign: Face Gender: Male Location: Manchester, UK Age: 17? 19? Somethingteen, anyway. Appearance: Face is Face but he's.. well, faceless. You understand, right? There's not much to say about his physical appearance considering he's totally invisible. He stands at about an unsure 5'7 with a lean late-teen build. He generally sticks to wearing a hoody just so people know he's there. That, and he catches a cold easily. Personality and behaviour: Excerpt taken from a recent interview of the newer members of The Legionnaires "How would I describe myself? How would I describe my.. self. Uh.. I wasn't expecting to uh, to be hit with that one to be honest. At least, notnot straight away. Quite a big.. quite a that's a hard one. I think I think I'll.. can I get back to you on that one later on in this um interview, yeah. No, no time? But we just we just got this thing under way. Oh.. I see.. I'm sorry I had um no idea. That that you uh.. I didnt realise you guys had more of us to er, to question today. "So how would I describe myself.. well. I'd say I was pretty confident, right? I mean, some people say they say that I lack confidence but I don't think so. I mean, I'm helping to uh to save the world, right. You need to um to be sure of yourself to be able to pull off something crazy like, crazy as that, right? I know you're thinking 'oh.. he can't but he can't even talk straight'.. right? But that's not that's not confidence like- like how I see it. That's just that's my social I'm not a confident talker, if you get me. I'm not a good speaker. But I um I have confidence in myself, you know? Self confidence.. that's what I have. I'm pretty self-confident is what, is what I meant. And I think that's something you uh.. you need to make it in The Legionnaires. And heart. You need a lot of heart. Sometimes sometimes you really struggle to fig- to figure out why you're, why you even bother. I think that covers your question well enough. Adequately." Make whatever assumptions you like out of that. Personal history: One of the younger members of The Legionnaires and one of the few without a alter-ego; Face has always been known as Face. He was born into the average working class family wherever and that probably would've been the end of that, were it not for the fact that he was born completely see-through. Lord knows how they cut that thing out not being able to see where it even was. It was the c-section chameleon and that was reason enough to spend the first year of life in hospital undergoing extensive tests. Apparently 'it' turned out to be a perfectly healthy premature baby boy. Just another anomaly to add to a string of recent wild mutations around the world in the late 80s. After leading a very uneventful life, Face was recently offered a place in a medium-sized experimental training scheme for the younger generation with the possibility of eventual drafting into The Legionnaires. Being such a rare case, Face was easily accepted into The Legionnaires with the bulk of his training involving infiltration and complex system-cracking and with almost no focus on combat situations or encountering the enemy. Abilities and other (ir)relevant information: Permanent invisibility Would be great if most of Face's missions didn't involve naked espionage. His low tolerance for cold temperatures can make him prone to being nearly discovered in the especially colder and/or wetter regions of the world due to eventual fits of sneezing and sometimes very serious episodes of coughing. Excessive medication dependancy Having been born prematurely, Face has a weaker-than-average immune system and seems to be constantly on the verge of a flu fever. He heavy relies on cold and cough medication and is never too far from a case of his anti-histamines, expectorants, cough suppressants and nasal decongestants. This can sometimes affect him mentally, causing drowsiness. Availability: Twice a week.. something like that. Willing to do upto 3 a week but may only be able to do one post a week at times. Rating: [PG] as a rough guideline although some posts may be [M] due to violence -- Tried my best to be a little different, lol. Put up enough weaknesses and justified as much of what I wrote as I could. Hopefully the character is developed enough for you guys to kinda see where he could go.. left plenty of space for character development. :animesigh Been a while since I've been interested in anything around here, lol.

Apparently Saw 2 is in the works. I've seen the cover page for it on the quicktime trailer page somewhere. Saw rocked. I thought the facemask was the freakiest idea.

Gaming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
conpiracymonki replied to Foredaddy's topic in Noosphere
Especially since the concept art hints that they're finally bringing back Big Boss. They've hinted at his remains in the first two Metal Gear Solids and Metal Gear Solid 3 focused on him entirely, so including him in a greater capacity seems like the natural thing to do. I'm excited.
Hell, Subsistence comes with Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 as playable subgames.. 2 games with Big Boss in them. They obviously want to keep him in gamers' minds. [strike]And has anyone seen the old skinny dude with the eyepatch over his right eye in a tight black bodysuit on the MGS4 teaser page? I reckon it's BB >_>[/strike] EDIT: Just realised what I was blabbering on about is the concept art, lol -
Van Wilder: Party Liason ..write that down. Hands down my favourite teen comedy film. And when I say teen comedy film, I don't mean some lame one.. this one actually rocks some. It's about Van (Ryan Reynolds from Two Guys and a Girl), a student of Coolidge College in his sixth year. He doesn't turn up to his classes but instead runs the damn place with the help of a new assistant every year. But this year his dad stops paying his tuition fees (dun dun dunnn) so he does everything he can to make money to stay in school, lol. If you don't mind silly sex jokes and being put off eclaires for the rest of your life, it's definitely at the least worth a rent.

Favorite, strangest and most annoying commercials on TV now
conpiracymonki replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
Hands down the best advert ever is the (I think) Volkswagen Golf one where they show that clip from "Singing In The Rain" (whatever it's actually called) and they make the guy breakdance. It is too awesome.. Quicktime link to ad (click here) My best advert's better than yours; I win -
I haven't bought it just yet (broke teen -.-) but I've had the leak a while too. On my first listen I thought this was a more out-there album than the first one but yeah. Once you get into the groove of it, I think it is a much better album than the first. It just all fits together better. Favourite tracks? Feel Good Inc, All Alone and Dirty Harry, probably.

http://amishdonkey.com/star-wars-rap.php I thought it was insanely silly enough to be worth sharing.. and this was the most relevant place to put it? Enjoy, I guess, lol.

I don't know how true this is but I heard that due to the cost of mass-producing Cells, Sony were going to start putting them into a lot of their other products too. I don't think I worded that right but hopefully you all understand what I mean.. again not sure if it's true or not and I have no source for the info.

This is my first System album I've fully heard and I gotta say it rocks. My experiences with them before were limited to CD sessions to and from an amusement park with a friend on a coach like a year back, lol. So I can't really compare it the other albums or whatever. But I do think it's a solid album and I like how the lyrics are a bit deeper than you think at first. That and Cigaro owns your ***, lol.. EDIT: Favourite 3 tracks in order: Radio/Video, Violent Pornography, Revenga

Hey has anyone here seen that fan-made Revolution 'Brain' controller trailer? It's slightly over 6 minutes long and looked so legit, lol. Had me fooled until I saw an article on it being fake about half an hour later.. EDIT: So it was just me then that fell for it, lol.. you guys lie through your teeth so bad ;p

I'm not black so I can't ever say that word affects me in any way but if you're not willing to look at what they're trying to get at instead of just skimming through a song and picking at no-no words, then obviously you won't see what attracts people to them. If you wanna take them as they are, I just wanna say that for every "Young Black Male" there's a "Mama's Just A Little Girl". And I'll shut up now.

The ugliness of the control pad design made me want to cry. I hope they change it by the time it's released for real. Does the PS3 font remind anyone else of Spiderman? :animestun

Liar Liar Elle screamed as loud as her tiny lungs would allow her to. She put her hands up to protect herself but it did no good. Teddy, amazed, dropped the kitchen knife and it landed on its point. The messy girl wasn?t kidding. She really didn?t have any fluff. -- 48 words >_>

Someone earlier in the thread that the idea of something ending scares people. I dunno about you guys, but I'm scared of the idea of everything not ending. Eternity is a long time, lol. As for what I believe, I'm a Muslim. So I believe in Heaven and Hell. How Heaven and Hell would be exactly, I can't imagine, but I still believe in them waiting for us all. Rar.

OK, all this arguing is confusing me, so I'm just going to ask a question. Do you mean like how some people begin to wake up to a cup of coffee, and then suddenly they can't not have their coffee? I don't know if that makes any sense to any of you all but bleh.
