Does anyone know how many times Helba actually appears in .Hack//SIGN? I can only confirm the episode with the "Twilight Eye" and [spoiler]episode 24, where they show Net Slum[/spoiler]. Are they any other then those two? Also, does she ever speak in the series, or is that limited to the .Hack games? Oh, and would anyone else enjoy seeing Helba beat BT with her custom wand? :devil: (Yes, I think Helba kicks ***. How did you know?)

Trust me, you do not have to "explode" to make a mistake. I have a temper and have learned how hard it is to do something (even easy things) correctly when irritated. :p As for Sora being faster, I meant while within weapons range. Remember that a Pole Arm (or Long Arm as they call it) takes time and effort to swing. This give Sora time to react and dodge. In a sprint Crim may be faster, but up close that Pole Arm will restrict his movements. Sora will not have that problem since his blades are wrist mounted and not connected.

Hmm, tough call. Sora has good speed and can dodge well, which is needed for his short range attacks. Crim is less maneuverable, but can strike at long range and defend at closer ranges. Speaking tactically they are complete opposites and should be able to continue a fight indefinately. However, Sora does hold one advantage over Crim. It seems that Sora is able to get under Crim's skin, or just make him angry. Either way that gives Sora the advantage since Crim would wind up making mistakes. Then again, Sora is childish, [spoiler]because he is a 4th-grade student (IIRC)[/spoiler], which could work to his disadvantage.

Yes mental help would be useful, but that is not what I mean. Can someone tell me what set(s) of cards (i.e. LON, LOB, PSV, etc) I can find the Dark Magician Girl in? I have a friend that has been going nuts trying to find one, and I figured this would be a good place to find some help. (Sorry if this should have been placed in another post. I could not find one that it seemed to fit in. :( )

I think it is really a question of "Strength or Strategy." Crim may not be as strong as Tsukasa, but he seems to have a better grasp of strategy. I would put my money on Crim. Tsukasa may have strength, but without strategy it is about as useful as swinging a club around wildly. Crim, on the other hand, can just use the old "Death by 1000 cuts" trick to sap away Tsukasa's health, piece by piece. :devil: And AzureWolf's post made me realize something. [i]Electrocardiograph[/i] is spelled with a "C" in cardio, but the accronym is E[i]K[/i]G. Go figure on that.

Another idea, you might want to find a tape that has the proper pronunciations spoken. I am trying to learn too, and I can tell you there is no substitute for a tape you can rewind until you learn correctly.

Hmm. I have never heard of asking loved ones that have passed away to leave things. However I do believe that my grandmother may be watching over our entire family (aunts, uncles, cousins, et al.) from time to time. When you look at how everything in life in connected to everything else it is not hard to believe that things like this can happen. I have not seen proof for or aginst such events, but that just means it has never been disproven to me.

Any particular points about keywords that are hard? For instance elements, jewel colors, level, Gott/Zeit Statues, etc.

This may deviate from the discussion a little, but why would Morganna need Tsukasa anyway? She seems to have total control over the system as it is, so I cannot think of any good reason to trap Tsukasa. The only explination I can think of is that he is a decoy to ensure that Morganna has more time to complete her plans without being watched or interfered with.

Here is my usual setup: 1) Myself 2) Blackrose/Gardenia/Marlo/Moonstone (best blade fighters) 3) Wiseman I use Wiseman always, unless I am not given a choice for a Wavemaster, because he is less annoying and can run the same speed at Kite (no more slowing down for Mistral/Elk). Occasionally I will switch Marlo out for Sanjuro, but that is the only other Blademaster I like. Nuke is just irritating, and there are only two Long Arms so Gardenia wins by default. I have no problem with using Natsume, but I just prefer Moonstone.

RPGchick, I have read that too. From what I have read [spoiler]Sora gets Data Drained after turning against Morganna in the last episode[/spoiler]. As for the second part, [spoiler]I have heard that you learn about Sora stuck in the staff near the end of .Hack//Quarantine (game #4)[/spoiler]. I cannot confirm the second part, since I forget where I saw it.

Frankly I see no problem with being listed as a "Newbie." That is only a rank and really means nothing. I no longer consider myself a newbie because I have been here long enough to understand many things and to get to understand some people. Perhaps, though, things could be set up to allow the member to choose their rank at the begining (i.e. "Newbie," "OB Member," etc.) and to leave it at that until they gain enough posts to "level up" (for lack of a better term). I guess it all depends on one's point of view.

I actually did find a site that has a pic of Skeith. In fact, the site was dedicated to the "Eight Phases." Here is a thought that deviates from the rest. Could Morganna (the voice) actually be "The World"? This thought comes from two parts. First is a quote from Helba in .Hack//Mutation. Helba speaks of The World as being alive and being a "she" (though that may have just been used to apply a gender to something nuetral). The second point is that in anime it is common to have computers that become sentient when given access to large amounts of data (such as the internet). This idea would explain the powers that Morganna has over things.

Also, it is the point at which sensory overload will occur. Relation to DVD series: Liminality referes to the sersory overload that sends people into comas. Although they claim it to be impossible in the series, a strobe effect can induce seizures (much like Mr. Tokuoka experience in Vol. 1) which may result in loss of consciousness and even a coma-like state. That is how I see it.

[b]Rating: ???[/b] I have abosolutely no idea what to rate this one. For the most part it seems to be filler, but the parts pertaining to the seach for the Key Of The Twilight were not. Anyway, there were a lot of amusing parts. First was Sora making an *** out of Silver Knight, followed quickly by BT using Silver Knight to help Sora (this earned her a few points). Best of all, seeing Morganna toss Tsukasa around like a rag-doll. :devil:

What is your source? I ask because the CN webiste has the next three episodes listed on their site for the next three weeks.

Okay. I cannot seem to find the answer to this anywhere else, so I will just ask here. How do I create spoiler tags (letters covered with black "censor" bar)? Any help is appreciated.

A sudden thought just crossed my mind (talk about a short trip :P). Is it just me, or does Big O remind anyone else of a Film Noir? The music, characters and backgrounds all have a Film Noir quality to me.
