I've been a subscriber to Shonen Jump ever since the first issue was released. I have to say it introduced me to some pretty good manga, my favorites being One-Piece and Naruto. Oh and they have a theme song now, you might want to check it out at their site. :D

You think Real Bout High School is the best transition? The Anime storyline and the Manga storyline are almost completely different. The manga follows the story of Ryoko fighting different matial arts opponents in K fights, and had some very cool characters like G, Taiho, and the female Shinsengumi. The anime did start out pretty much the same, but [spoiler]it suddenly changed to Ryoko fighting dragons and giant crabs in some alternate demension![/spoiler] Whats up with that? Wheres all the K fighting and the female Shinsengumi? While the anime was pretty good, it didn't share many of the manga's great aspects. But thats just my opinion :D

I, like many, would fight to protect the innocent and the ones I love. But unlike others I would not fight for religious beleifs. I find fighting to protect one's religion somewhat pointless. This is because people choose to confine their minds to one belief or one truth, and deny the others. Why? There are so many good aspects found in just about every religion, why can't some people see that? In the end people need to open up their minds and learn to tolerate different beliefs and truthes. Because, in the end, no one really knows why we are here and who or what created us. But thats just my opinion :D For the record I'm not an Atheis or anything. I believe in many different truthes.

I read in one EGM mag. that one of the creators of FF would like to make another game based on the adventers between Cloud and Aeris. Maybe thats what they're gonna do with the FFVII remake: futher the story line between Cloud and Aeris. But I'm not too sure.

The Dragon Ball series has to be one of the best Manga to Anime transitions. The creaters of the series kept the same angles and drawing styles that were found in the manga. But like many transitions in anime, many filler episodes were added, and some of the names were changed.

Yeah I used to watch Aeon Flux when they showed it on MTV. It was pretty cool, but still it didn't have much of a story. It was just short little bits, [spoiler]which mostly ended with Aeon getting killed.[/spoiler]

I just bought the CB movie yesterday and was blown away by its sheer coolness. The fight scenes between Spike and Vincent kicked a**! As did the scene with Elektra. In fact just about everything in this movie kicked a**. But I do have a question, why did the American distributors change the title. It was supposed to be 'Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door', but it was simply changed to 'Cowboy Bebop: The Movie'. Whats up with that? :therock:

Yeah that scene where Kenshin loses it against Chou is pretty cool. But [spoiler]I'm afraid to say that this is the last time he reverts back to the Battousai.[/spoiler] Oh and Sejuro Hiko kicks so much a** that its not funny.:D

Why did Adult Swim start re-showing Reign?! I mean its boring as hell. Sure there are some interesting plot aspects, but its mostly just a bunch of guys running around in their underpants. GO PUT SOME PANTS ON!!!:mad: I also don't like the animation design, I think it makes some of the guys look like women. They all have rosey pink lips. Whats up with that?:therock:

As the guardians made there way back to camp, many thoughts ran through Banner's mind. Thoughts of Tate and Max's relationship, the odds of them finding each other were too great to pass off as mere coincidence. It just didn't seem right. He also thought of Ki's transformation. Would he still be on their side, or would his infection consume him, making him an enemy? Then there was the growing evil presence that filled the air, and caused the gems to glow eradically. What was it, and when would it attack. Soon the young warriors made it back to the Chapel, where Silia layed Ki down on a pew. Banner stepped foward and stared at the unconscious guardian. Not bad :) I wish I knew how to do this kind of art on photo shop. But I have to settle for my paint program.:( The only problem I have with it is that they both look a little too young to be making out. But thats just my opinion. Any way, I give it a 9/10. :D

I believe some of the best duels can be found in Rurouni Kenshin. The Kenshin/Saito fight has to be one of the best fight scenes ever animated. The same can be said for Kenshin's fight with Shishio. There is also a very good arial mech duel towards the end of Macross Plus. The amount of detail put into that fight scene boggled the mind.

:eek: Whoa it seems people nearly forgot about this thread. I was worried that Modern Dreams 2 would complicate things and I was right. We need to start finishing up this story, but I can't do it alone. ----------------- Soon Banner and the others joined the rest of the guardians on a hill side. T.D. rushed up to Andrea. "Where did you guys go?" "We had to take care of some business," Andrea answered. "I trust that you used your time wisely." "Yeah," Dominic answered. "We just finished up some last minute training." Andrea smiled. "Good," she replied. "Because the time for training has ended, we must now begin our journey South, to Gimeron's Castle!" The guardians looked at each other confidently. "Alright," Banner yelled. "What are we waiting for, lets go and save that fine mother of yours!" :D

Banner watched as Kiara rushed back over towards Ki. [color=indigo]Banner: Damn, that girl needs to switch to decaf or something.[/color] He then looked at the ring in the palm of his hand. This thing can give me a serious power upgrade, but still something doesn't feel right about it. *Puts ring into pocket*[/color] Banner then walks over to Kiara and Ki. Kiara was still talking up a storm, asking all kinds of questions, while Ki just stood there and waited for his turn to talk. [color=indigo]Banner: OK, enough talk, where are we going next?[/color] [color=orange]Kiara: Well I think we should let Ki decide.[/color]:toothy:

After the 5 warriors had arrived at the Chapel, they decided to wait there for the others to return. Kiara started up another conversation with Ki, while Banner examined his the gift given to him by Basilisk. [color=indigo]Banner: Dark Ring huh? That Basilisk guy said this thing has the power to increase my power.[/color] Goraikou and Engetsu both walked over to Banner. [b]Goraikou:[/b] Yes, but remember that most of that ring's abilites are still a mystery. [b]Engetsu:[/b] I think its best to only use it when you really need it. Banner nodded and the two walked on. [color=indigo]Banner: Well I'm not too thrilled about getting power from some ring. Its unnatural, but who knows? It may come in handy for the battle that awaits.[/color]

Here's a new banner that I've created. This is like the third banner that I've made, so it has a bit of blank space. What do you think? :D

Being buried alive has to be one of the worst ways to die. I mean you're trapped underground in complete darkness, and you can't do a damn thing about it. Then you start running low on oxygen, and begin to gasp for air.:nervous: Damn that would be a sucky way to die. It doesn't matter what age you are.

I saw the ad for the RK manga in the latest Shonen Jump, and it says they won't be out until November. But oh well, I can wait. I really want to read the full Jinchuu story arch, that they foolishly ommited in the anime. On a side note, I don't think this thread belongs here. Someone should move it. Then again I may be wrong:toothy:

I seen screen shots and the video trailer for MGS3 and have to say it looks awsome! The best part is that it puts Snake and the player in a different environment. Gone are the grey, dull military bases and warehouses. Now you get to play in the jungle, surrounded by trees, animals, waterfalls,etc. I just hope Kojima has a good story planned out for the game. :D

Heres yet another character from Modern Dreams. Its Gimeron, the main bad guy of the story. Its a bit rough around the edges, and I think his armor's color scheme could be better. What do you think?:therock:

Not Bad. The only problem is that the image is a bit blurry and you can't see the text very good. Other than that its good. I think the banner you have is better. I give it a 7.8 out of 10. :D

I believe a good villian is a person who is not entirely evil. Its a person who does evil things for a cause that you can relate to. This makes you question if his actions are just or not, and if the "hero" is doing the right thing. A good example would be Enishi from Rurouni Kenshin. [spoiler]All he wanted was to revenge his sister's death.[/spoiler] But I guess it was the way he went about it that caused him to come off as a villian. But thats just my opinion:D

Hey Gotenks! I personally beileve the Kenshin/Saito fight is the best in the entire RK series. But if you liked that fight, wait until you see the ones that happen when he gets into Kyoto. You get to see some really great fights in the Kyoto story arch. All leading up to one of the best swordfights ever animated: Kenshin, [spoiler]Saito, Aoshi, and Sanosuke[/spoiler] VS. Makoto Shishio. [spoiler]Just don't expect Kenshin to revert back into the Batousai.[/spoiler]
