Originally posted by Skytiger The Real Bout that you are reading in the manga takes place after what is in the anime. You are actually reading the second set of the manga series. I have atarted to read it. As far as the anime I really enjoyed the action sequences. And the costumes that were made for the main characters. Well that is my two cents on this. I maybe wrong, so please correct me if I am.
Hmm, if what you say is true then why do both the anime and the manga start out in the same way. ? The anime is pretty much the same, Ryoko meets Shizuma, then gets in a fight with that chick with the Naginata. But then after the first K-Fight, she is transported to another demension. After this point everything is different. I still believe they changed the story around in hopes of drawing a different audience, but what do I know?:D

Hey I actually know the answer! Yay! A: Saito tightens his coat around Kenshin's neck in an attempt to break his neck. Ok, my turn. Q: In the Spriggan movie, what ancient artifact do the scientist discover in the Turkish mountains?
-
Yeah Spriggan is one of the best anime action movies out there. I remeber when I first saw the trailer for it, and I was so psyched. The story is good and raises some thought provoking ideas, and the characters all have depth. This along with the stunning aciton sequences and animation make it one of my favorites. I have to say my favorite scene is the fight at the Turkish street market. The action was fluent and well choreographed. Oh and the fight with Fat Man was great too.:D

Even though war is hell, it has inspired many great movies. I have trouble choosing a favorite, so I guess I'll just list some of my favs: BlackHawk Down Tora Tora Tora (No Love Triangle crap, Yaay!) BraveHeart Enemy At The Gates Saving Private Ryan Full Metal Jacket Platoon ....I think thats all of um'.:D

While I really like the Realbout Highschool manga, I can't say the same for the anime. The anime looks great and all, but it doesn't have half the stuff that made the manga good. The calm, cool, and ultara powerful villian G is no where to be seen, and my favorite character, Taiho, doesn't even make an appearance. The female Shinsengumi group members are also no shows. Instead, the anime changes everything and turns Realbout Highschool into one of those magical girl shows. Most of the intense martial arts fight sequences are replaced with battles against Dragons and Giant Crabs. Whatsupwithat?! Well I guess I've complained enough. The Realbout Highschool anime does have some good moments, and I'm not talking about the fanservice. The animation is crisp and fluid, and the music is pretty good. Also, even though it strays way too far away from the manga, the story is somewhat enjoyable. All in all its an alright anime series, but could've been better if they had stayed with the original story. But thats just my opinion.:D

Well my home team, the Panthers, are doing really well too. I think they're 8-3 or something like that. This is really good, considering they were the worst team in 2001. As for the Super Bowl I really can't predict who is gonna be in it.:D
-
Heh the answer to what you're asking is that people who have died can't be wished back by the dragon balls once a year has passed. Or at least I think thats how it works. If so, there is no way for the Saiyan race to be revived in that manner. As for Bardock breathing in space, I think he was still in the atmosphere. But who knows?

Heh, I'm afraid I wouldn't date anybody from anime. They're all just a bunch of big eyed weirdos with some serious problems. There's also the fact that they're not real, just marks on paper. Ouch, imagine the paper cuts!

The Gunsmith Cats anime is really good. I bought the 3 episode series about a year ago, and still love it. Its full of stylized gun fights. The showdown at the end was really cool. Oh and the car chase on the freeway was frickin' awsome! I love seeing that Shelby Cobra in action!:D I also bought some of the graphic novels not too long ago, and they're also very good. Oh, and wiccansamurai, it does have its share of fan service, but what do you expect out of an anime about full figured ladies with big guns?:toothy:
-
Heh, I've been waiting for this movie ever since I first heard about it this Summer. I'm a big fan of Japanese period peices, and "The Last Samurai" looks great. The set designs really capture what 1860-70 Japan was like. Plus is has already gotten some good reviews. But I think the story isn't all that original. Its basically "Dances with Wolves" set in Japan. But who cares, just as long as there are some great battle scenes.:D
Originally posted by maladjusted ....Have you seen Lina Inverse from Slayers or Kurumi from Steel Angel Kurumi and practically the other 1,000 great body, innocent faced girls in anime? :toothy:
Mal is right, there are more girly faced, full figured characters in anime, than you can shake a stick at. Heh, its just a certain style those wacky japanese like to use, and I don't see anything wrong with it.:D

Well I've had this pic for a while, but never posted it. Its a pic of Vivi, the little black mage from FF9, getting chased down by Quina, the big, hungry.....thing from FF9. I didn't really spend much time on it, but oh well, here it is. :D
Originally posted by K.K.C. What program do you use for coloring?
Thanx for the feed back. As for the program, I just use the regular paint program to fill in the colors. I then spruce it up a bit with Photoshop.

Heh, the game looks great, but that's no surprise. But it does resemble FFX in many ways. The world they're using in this FF looks sorta like a mix between FFIX and FFX, which is good. The only problem I see is that the main male character, Vann, looks a little too much like a girl in the face. But then again, the Japanese do like that girly guy look.:D

I've noticed alot at my school, and I'm pretty sure its everywhere. Frankly, as a fellow member of the hetero male species, I really don't get why these types of guys do what they do. Its like they're all obsessed with getting into girls pants, and don't really care about the consequences. What the hell, are they that shallow/desperate? When I see this kinda stuff goin' on at school, it makes me sick, and I can't help but wonder what is going on in these peoples heads. What I really don't understand is why some girls fall for it all. But in the end, I can't really give any insight on whats up with these people, since I'm not like them. But then again, I may not know what the hell I'm talking about.:D

Heh, I know Halloween has come and gone, but I never managed to post this pic I drew. I didn't spend much time on coloring it, so its a bit simple. Well, what do you think?

I own the entire series on DVD, and have to say its one of my favorite anime shows. I love the way they managed to parody just about every anime and movie genre there is. The series is also full of interesting characters, each with their own story lines. My favorite part of the series has to be the Watanabe, Iwata, and Sumioshi storyline. But thats just my opinion.:D

Hmm, underated anime, let me think. The only one I can really think of, that I like is the old G Force show (a.k.a. Battle For the Planets). I used to watch it all the time when it came on Cartoon Network, a long time ago. Sure the outfits might have been a little weird lookin', but they had some cool vehicles and weapons. Oh and Zoltar made a really good badguy.

I'm sorry but after seein' the previews for the movie, I have no intention to ever see the Cat in the Hat movie. I think it just looks ridiculous, and doesn't interest me at all. Its like Tori mentioned, the animated Dr. Seuss movies were really good and captured the spirits of the books. But the live action versions don't nearly do as good a job as the cartoons. They try to turn a thirty minute story into a two hour movie by adding a bunch of extra jokes and special effect sequences, and end up hurting the original story. To me, Hollywood is just using these great Dr. Seuss stories as a ways to make a little extra money. But thats just my opinion. If you want to see the real "Cat in the Hat"/"The Grinch", read the book, or at least rent the animated films. :D
Originally posted by gpeowyn did any see it was a repet and if you have direct tv the sumary was for an new episod?
Well AS had to show their Halloween special last Sunday, so that episode wasn't shown. But don't worry, the 26th episode of Big O is rescheduled to air next Sunday. Then, starting Nov. 10th , Big O will be shown on weeknights at 12:30am. Heh, just thought I'd let everyone know.:D

Some of my favorite emotional moments are in the Rurouni Kenshin OVA's.
In "Betrayal" I was shocked to see that Kenshin accidentally ended up killing the woman he loved. The final scene where she lays there and slices the final mark into Kenshin's face, was really sad, but fitting.
But the scenes in "Reflection", had me choked up the most.
In both episodes, we see a sick Kenshin, dying right before our eyes. It was just sad to see what he became, after trying to help people for so many years. Then in the end, he dies right by the river bank, with Kaoru. ....that really sucked, but I guess it too was a fitting end.
Another great moment I have to mention is in Macross Plus. The scene at the end,
where Guld is fighting with the Red Ghost, was just awsome. He see's that he can't defeat the thing, unless he goes all out and sacrifices himself. What fallows is a painful scene, in which he see him push his Veritech to the limit, and have the G Forces crush him. But in the end, he manages to destroy the damn thing.
Hey you finally posted the 2nd part! The story seems to be getting better, with the dance drawing closer and closer. The thing between Chris, Samantha, and Colin was a good addition, and helps add depth. Oh, and I see I actually got a date to the dance. Yay! :D If only I knew how to dance....

Well I read a book based on the Salem Witch Trials, called the Crucible. It was pretty good, and the explanation it gave was that all the people were indeed acting. The people mainly started accusing others, just so they can gain something in return. Me, I really don't know what to think, and have never given it much thought. Oh well:D

Well the best manga I've read lately is Priest, even though it's not Japanese. I like the dark atmosphere created by the rough art style, and the story is just awsome. Each character in the story has depth, and really makes you want to know about them. Plus I really like westerns. The best Japanese manga I've read is Blade of The Immortal. The story is just so epic and well written, that its hard not to like. Like Priest, it also has a great cast of characters, who are very human. My favorite has to be Magatsu, even though Manji is pretty cool. All this, in addition to the great artwork, makes Blade of The Immortal on of the best. :D

Hmm, the other 2 were good? Sorry, but I've never been a fan of the Scary Movie franchise. They nevered seemed to be real movies, just a buch of little parody skits throuwn together. But thats just my opinion. As for the new one, I don't know, it looks pretty funny. Charlie Shean is usually really good in comedy parts. Plus, Leslie Neilson is in it, so it can't be too bad. But then again, I may be wrong.:D
