Charli yawned a little. She hated verbal teaching, but it was better than sending people to the sick ward on the first day. A few years ago, she had tried going straight to the firing range. That hadn't ended well. She looked at the girls in front of her. "Hello everyone, and welcome to Sniping and Accuracy. Hopefully when I'm done with you, you'll be able to hit golfball from a few hundred feet away. Now," she hoisted the gun at her side, holding it up for them to see, "this is the basic gun we'll be using for at least a few weeks. It's an AK-47. If you can't hold this properly by the end of class today, you'll be spending it with Clark for the rest of the term." She wasn't sure if this would have any effect yet, but it worked well enough. "At your sides, you'll see a gun. Pick it up." She got a few blank stares. "Don't worry, they're not loaded. If they were, I wouldn't be standing in front of you. Go ahead, don't be scared. I'll help you today, and today only." She waited for the girls to start hoisting the guns, helping each one of them in her signature laid-back way. OOC: If anyone wants to put something in here, feel free.

Rei sat back, watching everyone. She hadn't expected someone to actually listen to her, let alone agree. Everyone had turned to look at her, but she looked at another, hoping they wouldn't think it was her. Now she stood. "I agree." Her voice was a little high and musical. As much as she tried, she couldn't get rid of that. Her wings fluttered a little as she sat down again.

Charli walked over to bunker C. [i]I guess I have to meet the new recruits sometime...[/i] She opened the door to see one girl laying on her bed and the rest on the other side of the bunker. She smiled a little. "Nice job. It took me fifteen minutes when I went here. Who are you by the way?" "Reg." "Hmm..." She turned and looked at the other girls. "You three. Give me twenty now." They all dropped onto their knees. "What do you think you're doing? I want my money now." They looked at each other for a second. Charli knew exactly what was running through their heads. "Never mind. But I'd be heading for the flagpole right about now if I were you. The raising's in..." She glanced at her watch. "seven minutes. Oh yeah, my name's Charleena Howards, but you can call me Charli. Not Sarge or Ma'am, Charli." She turned and left.

Val watched Deteria's expressions change throughout he and Orien's struggle. She couldn't take advantage of it though. Her demon half was struggling against her will. [color=red][i]Let me out! You're not going to play with him! Let me. Come on, just a little while. I promise not to hurt him much.[/color][/i] Val closed her eyes and tried to concentrate. Deteria's grip was starting to vut off her breathing. [i]No! He could kill us, don't you understand? [color=red]But you promised to let me out whenever he's out![/color] Just don't kill him.[/i] She couldn't keep this up. Giving in, she fainted.

"I'm glad you're back," she turned to look at him and surpressed a small scream. "What happened to you?" She looked deep into his eyes. Not only had their color changed but the soul inside them had changed as well. [color=red][i]Let me play with him. This is the one I want.[/color] No, we have to try to get Dmitri back. [color=red]Why?[/color][/i] Val jumped out of the tree, readying herself for a fight.

Val wanted to follow him, but decided against it. She couldn't leave Orien this defenseless. She waited, a little impatiently, for him to awake. After a few minutes, She jumped into a tree and waited there. It wasn't far away, but no one would see her. At least if someone attacked, she would have the element of surprise.

"No, just nerves I guess." [i]Maybe I should tell him. But this will all be over soon. Orien will be okay and I'll never have to hear this again.[/i] "Do you need anything?" She hoped he would. She needed the distraction.

Val's sharp ears caught every sound around her. She heard o wind whistling in the trees, the breathing of someone far away, Dango's mutterings, Dmitri's healing spells. But more than anything, she heard Orien's bones healing. It was a sickening sound and nothing she tried could block it out. "I'm sorry. I can't take this anymore. I need to go." She tried continuing a short way down the road, but no matter how far she went, she could still hear it. Finally, she returned and stood nearby.

"Or maybe," Maria said, "it's part of a secret government plot to create super soldiers to use in times of war." Everyone looked at her. "What? It could happen! Screenwriters have to get inspiration for those movies from somewhere."

OOC: It's okay. You did exactly what I was going to. I just had no idea how to phrase it. Arrianna stood, shaking from what she had just done. She had just killed something. She hadn't joined their effort for this. But what else could she expect? This was a war. But it had been so young and helpless. She dropped the bloody dagger in her hands and sank into a chair.

I thought someone was gonna say something about my fixation with guns. And there are other teachers? *looks at posts* Ohh...I really need to pay more attention.

Something was definitely wrong here.

"Maria, come on out. It's not that bad. On the news, they said it's been happening all over the city. Honey, please come downstairs. It's really not that bad." "I'M NOT COMING!!! She wasn't afraid to let Mike see her. He played too. On her couch sat a tall, tanned blonde clad in silver armor. He looked up at her, his bright blue eyes shining as he smiled. A large ax laid beside him, as well as a pile of textbooks, notebooks, and papers. "I brought all the work you missed. We have a test tomorrow in Algebra. It might be hard. I could always stay and help you study." She laughed a little. He was trying his hardest to make her feel better. "If you want to, sure. We have plenty of room." "You know, the same thing happened to a lot of people at school. Including Yuriko, Edia, and Naru. Not to mention a few teachers. So are you coming tomorrow?" "I think so."

"Dmitri?" Val said after a while. The silence was beginning to annoy her. It felt as if the world were closing in. "Do you think Orien will be okay until we get there? We've been delayed so much, something terrible might have happened. I know I shouldn't think like this but something's nagging at me."

The spirits formed a close circle around Dango. It seemed as if they were muttering something, but it was too light for Val to hear. She didn't want to go any closer though. She felt this was something she didn't need to know about, something to sacred for her to hear. She stood by Dmitri, hoping for the best. After what seemed like hours, a thin dark mist began to rise from Dango's mouth. "Dmitri, tell Dango he can return to his body. He has to do it now."

Val ran off, looking for the spirits. Hopefully, they wouldn't mind if she called on them once more. It didn't take long. They seemed to have sensed she was in trouble and were headed in that direction. "I'm glad I've found you. One of my friends was possessed by the spirit of an ancient demon relic. Is there any way you can help us?" [COLOR=sienna]"We know, Valkyrie. This spirit has been corrupted since the beginning of time. We may be able to draw him out though."[/color] "That is all I could ask of you. But how will I be able to defeat him then?" [color=sienna]"You will not. But your friend will be able to return to his body. That is all we can do."[/color] "Thank you my friends. I must go now and tell Dmitri." With that, Vall ran full speed back to him, and told him the news. By the time she had finished, the spirits had arrived.

Val dared a look and saw that the wounds were in fact healing. She smiled a little. "But since the Fang is broken shouldn't the will of Kamori be broken also? Wouldn't that make sense? Or is it still in his body? Is there any way we can help him?" "Unfortunately, I don't know much about vengeful spirits." Then an idea dawned on her. "Dmitri, the forest spirits should be able to help us! I'm not sure if they'll be able to enter Dango's body, but the may know something." She looked at him hopefully, praying to any god who's name she could remember.

Val looked away. She couldn't bear the thought of Dango dying, even if he was an idiot. "Dmitri, isn't there anything you can do to help him? Anything at all?"

Kaya looked at her watch. If she didn't run, she'd late for her first battle! She ran along the corridor of doors leading into different arenas. She looked up at the screen above the door leading to Seta's match. He wasn't looking very good, but she knew he'd still win. She hurriedly opened the door to her arena and step in. Across the table stood her first opponent, a tall, dark haired boy named Malik. He had beaten her then, but he wasn't going to win now. "I remember you. I thought your name looked familiar. Haven't I beaten you already?" "Shut up and fight me. Phoenix, jack in!" "Ready to lose? Ares, jack in!" They pulled out their cables and jacked in. Both Phoenix and a tall Navi that looked very much like Malik himself appeared in the scaled projection. As much as she wanted to strike first, Kaya held back, waiting to see what he would do. "Ares, Dark Sword battle chip in!" Ares sneered as a long, black colored sword appeared in his hand. He began to charge at Phoenix. She and Kaya simply smiled. "Phoenix, Flaming Sais battle chip in!" "Thanks, Kaya." Phoenix deflected Ares' slash with one sai and slashed at him with the other. She missed, but it still had the desired effect. Malik stared at her. "You couldn't do that before!" "That's what improvements are for." She smiled sweetly at him. She was pretty sure she'd win this.

Maria wasn't sure what to do. She had the sudden urge to take vengence on just about everyone who had done anything in the least bit wrong to her. Lorelai was really starting to piss her off. If she didn't hit something soon, she was gonna explode! "I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!" She walked over to the nearest tree and roundhouse kicked it as hard as she could. She held the stance for a second then screamed. "This never looked like it hurt in the game!! Why does everything have to happen to me!"

"Do you know how bad of a liar you are?" She drew her long sword, preparing herself for a fight. "I've never liked you, and if that weren't Dango's body, I'd tear you to shreds." She took a fighting stance but couldn't do much more. She couldn't attack, she could only watch.

Val caught up with Dmitri easily. He had looked like he was in pain or something, but the look passed. "Dmitri, is something wrong? Is Deteria trying to take control of you?"
