1.
Uh... Doukeshi03 Your signature reveals your interest in the beautiful culture of goth and vampirism. Although many associate vampires with Bram Stroker and Dracula, you associate yours with Anne Rice and Lestat. The header of your signature "...here endeth the lesson." reveals a particular confidence in your posts and in yourself. Although the quote has this statement, your avatar has a contrasting one. Its use of a mask show not of hiding from fear, but for security. It would say that you wish to hide yourself so as not to hurt others. Your signature's banner shows that you don't mind revealing your true self to those you choose. You can be beautiful and kind, or ugly and powerful. The final description "He wears woe..." reveal that your literary tastes are classical and developed. The use of similes in each of the sentances have an artistic backing that could only be appreciated by those of distinct taste. To sum it up in one sentance,
I wouldn't want you biting my neck.
edit: does your name also have a hinting to nameless or Clowns in general? -ArV
Wow, that is a very deep analogy you have there, very interesting views. My user name is a Gundam Wing reference to Trowa the 3rd gundam pilot. True it doesn't really have any Anne Rice links but then again my sigs are constantly changing (I was thinking of making a new one at the moment actually ^_~)
2. Okay then: Sage: His lack of sig suggests to me that he either cannot be bothered to make one, or does not like to run with the pack. He seems to be one who does not wish to be seen by the state of his sig but by the quality of his posts, this also reflects in his choice of name ^_~. Appearances are not everything.
3. Ah, 'Gods Rottweiler'. I believe that this will be an interesting time for many un-orthodox catholics who have a less hardline appraoch to the catholic faith. Considering his age, 75, and the fact that a decision was made so quickly as to who would become pope, suggests that the conclave chose him as merely a stop gap. True he is in contrast to Pope John Paul in his affiliation with the Nazi's during the war, but this was when he was a small boy and most of the German population did not know of the attrocities being commited in their name.

The "L" Word

Actually The 'L' Word has been shown over here, not on terrestrial television but on Living TV, which is a satellite/digital channel. I have seen bits, though regrettably not a full episode and from what I have seen it seems to be a very well thought out a executed show, not cheesey or smutty at all.

Old Cartoon show

Oh yes I've seen it. I used to watch it when I was younger and they're replaying it on what was fox kids over here in the UK. I do believe that I had quite a few action figures and vehicles also.
6. I believe that his passing is a good, if slightly overdue, thing. He has worked so hard over many many years and even severely sick he has managed to keep his head aloft. I hope his death is peaceful and painless.
7. I shall give it a shot for you. I won't be able to draw all of them but I will draw some.
8. I know its a pile of poo, you know its a pile of poo but I just thought I'd put it up anyway on the off chance that you might actually like it ^_~. Do you know how difficult it is to find a decent picture of her scar? Its nothing like I imagined it never mind how you imagined it lol.
9. Okay then, how is killing someone else a better idea to killing yourself? There is this whole idea in both society and religion that killing youself is an unforgivable sin and yet you can be let off killing someone else. How does that work? Also, far from being selfish, some may find that dying would be the only way they can stop being a burden on whomever is close to them because of their problems... Hell, I'm saying this and even I know that I think its the easy way out when I think about it. But then of course you have the sutainable argument that you shouldn't cover it all generically.
10. here's the first set, enjoy.
11. One question. Because I feel a little left out :P, how do you create those nifty coloured tex boxes in the posts. I'm not much of a HTML wiz you see.
12. The sky was bright over the bustling city of Memoria. Its metallic walls glinted in the afternoon sun, shadowed only by the passing forms of a winged draconian and its seemingly strange companion. A draconian in itself was not an unusual sight within the city of Memoria or, indeed, many other places, it was however a rather rare and beautiful sight to witness the creature that now flew parallel. The fiery colours of the phoenix shone with magnificent hue under the sun, as if the glowing sphere itself had come to earth. Coming to rest at the gates to the city the two young soldiers on guard stood in shocked silence, mouths agape at the truly wonderous sight the mythical bird produced. Stepping forward, the large draconian announced his presence loudly, diverting the guards' attention from the bird now seated upon his shoulder with his stern and commanding tone. "Open the gates fools, we have no time to tarry here!" The draconians booming voice resonated upon the metal walls and the guards scuttled back timidly in an attempt to complete the beings orders. After a time of chaotic clangs and angry yelps, the doors to the city of Memoria swung open slowly, the grinding of gears and cogs causing even the bird seated upon the draconians shoulder to wince. Flaring his great wings the draconian strutted forward, dismissing the young guards with a wave of his hand. The two looked imploringly up at him for any sign of gratitude but were left standing dejected as the draconian brazenly ignored them. The noise and bustle of the city was almost immediatley apparent upon entering through the narrow gateway. Ringing bells and bawling merchants clouded together with the shrieks of young urchins and busy citizens. Keeping to the wall the draconian glanced at his smaller companion, shadowing him from the ignorant eyes of the busy city dwellers. "I think it would be best if you were not so bright, even I cannot save you from a mob of greedy townsfolk." With an almost impercievable nod the phoenix hopped from its perch and glided softly towards the muddied dirt trail below. Chirruping its distaste at such a grimy setting the bird enfolded its wings up over its head. After a few moments low hissing sound suddenly became audible and a thin trail of smoke started to escape from the birds feathers along with several small flames. In a matter of seconds the phoenix was engulfed in a blazing ball of fire, though the bird made no noise of pain or discomfort. As the fire slowly began to die and the smoke dissipated a larger, crouched figure came into view. Covered in ashes and completely naked, Asher Fenix Ulfcur stood and stretched his arms over his head, cracking several bones back into place as he did so. Regarding the draconian Asher smiled in amusement before holding out his hand. Raising an eyebrow at such a dramatic display the draconian grasped the pack he held upon his back and withdrew several items of Asher's clothing from it. Throwing them at the young shifter he grumbled. "Was there a need for such a colourful show?" Grinning Asher donned his attire, spreading his arms as if to test his wing span. "There are enough greys in this world without me adding to them Arcturus." Shaking his head the draconian Asher knew as Arcturus ushered the shifter forwards, the bustling street enveloping them as the went. "Come my radiant featherling, we must see you prepared before I present you to the council. We have time before our gathering and I recommend that we procure some fresh attire for you." Arcturus smirked slightly as he surveyed the many bustling and chaotic stalls within the busy city marketplace. Asher looked down at his own drab travellers clothing and sighed before peering up at Arcturus and his brightly shining tunic. "Mabye...but I refuse to wear plaid."
13. I picked up JLA: Classified today which had a pretty good story dealing with the Crime Syndicate of Amerika, who are the Justice League but from a different world. I didn't catch a couple of the previous issues so I don't know the details but I could pick up the gist from what was going on. It looks pretty good. I also got the new Nightwing issue. I like what they're doing at the moment, its a Year One sorta thing where they're dealing with how Dick became Nightwing and a couple of early adventures. I had been going off the guy previously but the writing seems to be picking up. Still not too keen on the artwork though.
14. here, hows this one
15. Lets see now. Year 3 ( I suppose that would be what...2nd Grade?) - Ms Summers: Ho boy was she psychotic. Flame red hair and a temper to match this woman had many a child in tears for the simplest of offenses. I think everyone was scared of this woman. She was, however, the single best story teller ever (In my infantile opinion), and brought stories such as 'The Witches' and 'James and the Giant Peach' to life with voices and emotion. She did get some kids to stroke her legs while she did this though...kinda scary when you look back on it ¬_¬. Year 7 French and Year 8 tutor/english/french - Mrs Rumford: Very strict, but very nice if you were in her good books. Everything had to be perfect work wise. If your writing was messy or if your work wasn't underlined in either red or blue rrrrrrriiiiiipppp out the page came. Even so, she made learning pretty fun and was a great person to talk to once you got to know her like I said. She kept telling us stories about her cat Podge and how the noise he made when he got stuck up a tree one time sounded like the french word for yoghurt. I'll never forget that word heh. Year 9 History - Mr Craddock: "Simon-ah" shouted in the style of a drill sergent is forever in my mind when I think of this man. His voice rang across the class room like this, most likely directed at Simon, in the style of an army major disciplining his platoon. He was, however, a very nice and funny man and wore the most outrageous and interesting ties, such as one with a toothbrush and a little tiny mirror stuck to it. Incidently I was to get his daughter as a tutor in Year 10. Year 10/11 History and Year 12 Sociology - Mr Wilkinson: I am sure that this man had to have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder or something, seriously, this bloke was nuts. One minute he'd be laughing and joking with you then all of a sudden he'd turn into Mr Hyde and yell at you for the smallest thing. My friend once caught him jumping down the stairs in school humming the theme tune to Mission Impossible. I think he mellowed out a bit once he had a kid, but he was still a scary scary man. Year 12 and 13 History - Mr Burford, Burf-man, Papa-Burf: My hero, your hero, hero of the world. I give you Dr John Burford! This man is the single reason I am taking History at University and is possible the only reason I passed A level history. Anyone who was in my class can testify that he is the most brillian man on the planet. Never before have a met a teacher who would negotiate with you when you wanted to hand in your homework. If you didn't do you homework he wouldn't shout at you oh no, he'd just do those eyes that make you feel like you have run over his dog and you'd do it for him there and then. You'd give up anything just to make this man happy. He's the kind of guy you'd wish grandkids on. Mr Burford gave the class his home number just incase we needed him. He went to Australia for a teachers conference and came back with a cut on his head. He said he walked into a door, we like to think that he whupped *** in a bar fight (baring in mind this man looks about 70). We Salute you John Burford, may you forever teach young minds History.
16. I think that it would probably be best if chapter information and so forth were posted here. That way if there is certain information regarding specific characters it can be discussed and scenarios possibly built up, if you get what I mean.
17. I'm looking forward to: Mr and Mrs Smith - I just really want to see the interaction between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and the plot looks very interesting. What I've been told about it makes it out to be a semi-fun semi-serious sort of movie and I just can't wait to see it. Madagascar - I love animated movies, and with the high standard of CG movies that have come out e.g Shrek, Finding nemo etc, I can see this one being great. I've seen quite a few trailers for this one and anything with a claustrophobic giraffe, a not so fearsome lion and a troupe of phsycotic penguins gets my vote. In short, it looks hilarious. The Chronicles of Narnia - Having watched the original TV adaptations of several of the chronicles I was so happy when it was announced that they were doing a film of 'The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe'. I'm not too sure if the original shows were played anywhere outside of the UK but the movie has a lot to live up to these childhood memories. I just love Aslan really, especially the scene with the stone table and afterwards ^_~. Batman Begins - It doesn't need to be said that I'm looking forward to this one (though it isn't my sig anymore). I just can't wait really. The other four have been so different from eachother (well the last two from the first two anyway) so I want to see what is done with this one. Also, of course, I'm looking forward to Willy Wonka and I think I'm going to have to check out this Corpse Bride.
18.
Can someone care to explain what exactly the Identity Crisis story was about, what happened, and how it ended? For what little I've found online, I think it has something to do with secret identities, and that it's some kind of big mystery.
I got quite confused myself actually Manic, and I read the thing lol. I guess I'm going to have to re-read it and then I'll get back to you ^_~. I never really knew Spoiler as a character but the effect her death has had on both Tim and Bruce is truly emotional. I think it's sent Tim off on one if you ask me, though i don't keep tabs on him much so I'm not the best person to judge. I was disappointed with the Batman issue this month. In the previous issue there was a great cliffhanger where the red hood took off his helmet and Bruce was stunned: "Oh my God." I think that's what he said. Anyway, I was really looking forward to the next issue to see who it was but this month's went on like no such confrontation had happened, it was like some sort of continuity distortion it was weird. So I do hope they return to that scene and actually give me some sort of revelation. What else have I bought? Oh yeah, Superman/Batman. This story arc, with Batman and Superman flitting through time, different scenarios etc etc, I don't really like. It all seems rather rushed to me, everything is all so appropriatley placed and all the plot twists and character interactions go past in the blink of an eye. It all very loosely put together in my opinion and there is any real explanations given. It ends next month so then maybe I can get into the next story a bit better.
19. Okay, sticking up for the guy here. I think you're doing a great disservice not only to Batman but also to Jim Gordon who is nothing like the bumbling fool the movies portray him as. Sure he may be a littel manic and obsessive but he does have a strict moral code by which he does his job. Do you think that if he just went around beating the **** out of whomever he chose that other heroes such as Superman or Wonder Woman would stand for it? Of course not. I don't even know if the bat signal is used in the comics any more, I haven't seen it in ages. Batman works with Comissioner Gordon as best he can, Gordon knows that Batman is breaking the law just by doing his whole vigilante schtick but he lets him off anyway. Sure they might help eachother but they both have a strict sense of moral justice. If given a choice between catching an arsenist or rescuing the victims in a burning building Batman would save the victims, that is what seperates him from the crime he fights. However dark and brooding he may seem, Bruce Wayne actually cares about 'his' city and the people within it. I think the people of Gotham sleep easier at night knowing that the big ol' bat and his family are out there.
20. Appearing as one of the many Urukai in the Lord of the Rings, Jeff, like many, had difficulties differentiating between this franchise and a certain other series of movies.
21. Looks like this is going under then? Shame, it had such good potential.
22. Which particular gundam are you after? There are quite a few Gundam animes out there you know. Judging by your avatar I'm guessing it's Gundam Wing but I just thought I'd check to make sure.
23. Here ya go, I hope you like it ^_^.

Stalker Songs

Obviously 'Every Breath You Take' is the definative stalker song, maybe even the original, who knows ^_~. I don't know if this one is, in a sense, stalker-ish but I do feel that it is terrible obsessive so maybe that falls under the same category Evanescence - Taking Over Me You don?t remember me, but I remember you. I lie awake and try so hard not to think of you. But who can decide what they dream? And dream I do. [chorus:] I believe in you. I?ll give up everything just to find you. I have to be with you to live, to breath... You?re taking over me. Can you know what I know and all we have. You saw me mourning my love for you and touched my hand. I knew you loved me then. [chorus] I look in the mirror and see your face, if I look deep enough. So many things inside that just frighten you are taking over. [chorus 2x] (taking over me) You?re taking over me (taking over me) Taking over me
25. Heh, when I went to Amecon (thats a british convention) I got to meet Monica Rial (is that how you spell it?), she's in quite a few things like Pretear and Kiddy Grade among other things. She is simply one of the most amazing people I've ever met. She's so hyper and funny and kind all the time. Hopefully we'll be getting Greg Ayers next year, fingers crossed (Goku from Saiyuki) I cosplayed Irvine from ff8 and it seemed that everyone else had the same idea so there were quite a few of us wandering around. I'd love to meet Scott McNeil or Kirby Morrow. I remember when Scott was the voice of Flipshot in the New Adventures of He-man heh, heh. He does Logan in X-men: Evo at the moment (incidently Kirby Morrow plays Cyclops and previously Trowa from GW) Anyway, I had a blast at that con, good times man, good times.
