I don't really know what's so great about Penny Arcade. It's mentioned everywhere and everyone I read hails it as the funniest thing ever but I honestly don't even think it's that good. Maybe just because its easily recognisable as one of the first of its genre, that is 'guys and games' ^_~. There you will find Foamy, the lord and master of all, squirrel extrordiare. If you haven't seen this guys stuff I sincerely recommend that you go. Especially look out for the first Card Cult animation, classic stuff.

I'm 18 going on 19 and I have to agree that I think the OB and other forums such as this attract a younger crowd. The fact of the matter is that a lot of older people have better things to be doing than mooching about a forum all day ^_~

Oh come on there have been worse crimes. Anyway, the death sentence is getting off lightly in opinion. It isn't really punishment its just a way of getting rid of a criminal so you don't have to think about them anymore. There are far more inventive things one could think up.

Well, you see...these pop ups don't even need for you to be browsing. All of my windows can be closed and a pop up will still appear, often several at a time. Searchingbooth seems to have dissapaited but a few others have taken its place. I would use a different browser...though truthfully I'm not too comfortable with the idea.

Hey, I need some help regarding some very aggressive pop-ups. I can't get rid of several pop-ups, most notably Searchingbooth.com and top-banners.com ads. I have tried everything, Ad-aware, Spybot, SpySubtract, clearing my temp and temporary internet files, doing antivirus checks... If anyone has any tips on how to help me out here I would be greatful. I don't want to get a pop-up blocker because I know of the disadvantages of using them and the fact that they themselves can install spyware.

I really liked this chapter. As said before, I love your style of humor such as the exchanging of expressions thing heh. Its getting more in depth now and I like it, I can't wait to see what 'Solo' and 'Kei' do in the next chapter *smirks*

Never had braces, even though I must say that I have pretty retarded teeth. I have two missing that are supposed to come in next to the two front teeth but just never did. I'm not saying that there are massive gaps where they should be, there's just more of a gap than normal lol. Also I have two larger teeth that are still milk teeth because my adult teeth weren't underneith them to replace them. Please bare in mind that I am now 18 almost 19 and these two teeth are now mostly filling. My sister only has three adult teeth, the rest are all milk teeth. Eventually she is going to get them all replaced with synthetic teeth at about £1000 a tooth I think it was. Good job we doesn't have to pay for them heh

Okay, I was watching the new series of Battlestar Galactica last night, the first few episodes right. For some reason just sitting there watching all these people having their homes destroyed and their planet wiped out, end of the world etc...I was suddenly struck by how much humanity really pissed me off. Now I know that isn't a terribly original thing to say, humanity pisses a lot of people off, however, I was was thinking that when the end of the world comes, by whatever means, it will be such a pitiful occurence. No matter who you are, or what you do, or what you own now, when the end comes it will mean absolutely zip. Like the rest of the population will be screaming and clawing in desperation for the last shred of salvation that presents itself, may that be ship or god or hole in the ground, whatever. We as an oh so noble race will be reduced to the snivelling animals that we inevitably are. It then also occured to me, while certain people were being saved during the process of this eradication, why? Why should any of us, as a species, be allowed to survive, what right do we have to exist..what importance to we contribute to the universe that warrants our survival from extinction. I think thats what annoyed me the most. So, if anyone has anything to say on the subject, however dour and negative and pointless that it is, please feel free to comment. I'm sure there are somethings about humanity that are appealing...right?

I think the lull in activity round here comes from the fact that summer is now over and everyone is far too busy getting back into the swing of normal life really. True it seemed a lot more exciting "back in the day" but that's probably because you were new and this place was different. I think I've been here for almost a year and a half now and I think it just depends on how interested you are in the place..I know my interest keeps waxing and waning from time to time.

Well, doukeshi means 'clown', and I guess I do kind of act like a clown sometimes, or maybe often. I guess it depends on what I feel like. I suppose you choose your screen name to reflect a certain aspect of you or your life...otherwise there would be absolutely no reason for you to choose it would there?

Some people find that having sex with the dead body of a person allows them to become privy to the secrets of the departed soul of the corpse. I think mainly though, its for people with a death fetish, for those who are aroused by the thought of death and the erotic fantasies surrounding that. Maybe its related to the ertocism surrounding vampires and the alure of the undead. Or maybe its just because a corpse doesn't ***** at you when you're a little rough, or when you don't call after that one night stand ^_~.

Hey guys, what do you folks think about staying at home for university. I am myself, and I was great about it, 'cause personnaly I don't so well when I'm away from home. Anyway, at the moment I'm kinda freaking out. I feel like people view me as an outsider and I should be in the thick of it, all partying and so on...even though I don't want to be.

I have had a pretty good experience overall with ebay. I don't try and sell much anymore, 'cause it seems that noone wants the crap I have anyway lol. I usually only buy comics from ebay and I have recieved every issue I have ordered in the condition it was advertised as...in pretty good time too. Only but one, however, but that was the dozy postman's fault (seriously if something has 'do not bend' written all over it its not an invitation to bend it in half and shove it through the letterbox)

Wow, hey they're pretty good. I especially like the first one, although the hair does seem to be a bit skew if you don't mind me saying. I think its great that you did these pieces in crayon, I mean I find it really difficult to do anything in crayon, let alone a full portrait.

I have heard of those pieces of literature Siren, I believe they are refered to as Sapphic in relation to the famous poet who resided on Lesbos called Sappho. Therefore we can see that it hasn't only been male homosexuality that has been the focus of literature through the years. I think what it all comes down to really is the division between the sexes. It seems that male homoseuxality has been more focused upon due to the fact that up until recently the world has been primarily male dominated.

I think that some of you are concluding that Lesbianism is more accepted because male's feel threatened by Gays and therefore that is the only explanation. What about the other way around? From a woman's point of view it is more acceptable to be a Gay man than it is to be a gay woman surely? I think that there is far more evidence to suggest that Male homosexuality is taken more seriously and accepted into modern culture than that of females. Although I do think that there is still an enormous amount of prejudice to both sexes by ignorant society. BTW Delirium, I think you are assuming that people taking part in this thread are all straight..this is probably not the case

I think Azurewolf has made a good point there. Because of the traditional focus on men rather than women, homosexuality in females has been all but overlooked in previous decades (please note my comment about Queen Victoria in my opening post).

The chronicles are mostly told from the perspective of Lestat "the brat prince", though the first book of the series 'Interview with the Vampire' was told from the POV of Louis, Lestats childe. The books are written to make it seem that it is the vampires themselves writting the books, under the pseudenim of Anne Rice. I used to read Anne Rice compulsivley.Once I read Blood and Gold, however, I kind of lost interest. I am currently trying to read Memnoch the Devil and I'm finding it hard to develop enough interet in it to just keep reading. I dunno, maybe I'm just getting bored with Lestat or if I just need to give it a rest for a while. I personally think, though, that the best days were during interview, lestat and queen of the damned. BTW Pro..the other guy in your sig is Matt Damon
