Well, is your new school bigger than your old one? 'Cause if not, then I wouldn't worry about gettin' lost. ;) --Mike

Ah, you could pull the same thing off with a Lapras, who oddly enough doesn't seem like a Legendary to me. --Mike

I agree with you, James. But if you give up on your own RPG and don't post, then that's gotta be one of the main reasons nobody else does. I mean, to suddenly see no more contribution from the creator, I mean, man. So that's why I did what I did to the RPG. Ah well...:) --Mike

BRRRRING!!! BRRRRING!!! BRRRRING!!! Xeshiur: Uhhh... Wha...? Xeshiur looked aimlessly around. Everything was blurry. He found his head too heavy to hold up, and let it drop again. BRRRRING!!! BRRRRING!!! Xeshiur groaned. Xeshiur: Alright! I'm up. He continued to lie there on the bed, listening to the incessant ringing of the alarm clock. Finally, he rolled around, shut the thing off, and sat up. He looked at the clock again, and picked it up. 10:01 AM. Had he really set it for ten in the morning? He stood up, got dizzy, and sat back down hard. Oh, man, what was I doing last night? Probably drinking... Yes, definitely drinking, Xeshiur realized as he rubbed his sore head. He was wearing the same clothes from yesterday, too. He got up again, slowly, and headed to the bathroom. This was not the way a Visionsary should behove. Everyone in the Dark Order knows that alcohol hinders a Visionary's mental abilities more than others. But still, he seemed to be drinking more and more. It wasn't always like that. He had been a chipper young man when he entered the Dark Order at 17. He made sure to follow all the rules, and never get in any trouble. However, fulfilling these goals became less of a priority over the years. He had been elevated to Visionary status when he was discorvered using great psychic ability with a Contact. There, he became big-headed, and did his jop more sloppily. That was three years ago. Now, he was hardly even a member of the Dark Order. No one seemed to bother with him anymore. He was merely a name now, a name nobody remembered. Xeshiur himself had given up on the Dark Order too, and its practices were kept only as a reminder of what he used to do. Xeshiur sighed. Another day, world. You bastard...

Yes, double posts are against rules, but c'mon, what is there left to do? Xeshiur sniffed the air. It was familiar, as if there was such a thing as familiarity. It was the smell of fresh grass, of sweet flowers and off rugged pines and maples. It was the smell of the Windhyte Plains. It was a southerly wind that pushed these smells towards the Almaran Army. Home was a few hundred feet away. They could see the empty huts and lonely streets. Despite the fact that they knew the huts would soon be filled again, and the streets busy, the sight of such a barren landscape depressed nearly everyone. Xeshiur stood in front of his group, surveying the scene. A small campfire caught his eye. A thin trail of smoke rose slowly towards the heavens. That should not be there, Xeshiur thought. Who has infiltrated our village? Xeshiur: Come. Let us see who is responsible for that fire... They made their way towards the village entrance. The smell of smoke mingled with the pleasant aromas of the nearby plain. As they got closer to the fire they heard voices. Unusually plain, meek voices. Hume voices. Three of them... An intense feeling began to bubble up from within Xeshiur. It spread throughout his body, causing him to tremble with rage. He clenched and unclenched his paws, he bared his teeth, and suddenly he lost all characteristics of a sane Halbreed and charged in the direction of the Humes. Xeshiur: Arrrghhhh!!! I will kill you!!! Right about this time the Humes noticed that this was indeed an occupied village. Before any of them could even get up Xeshiur was on them, clawing, biting, slashing and howling. He had completely forgotten who and where he was. He was so infuriated that, after the short scuffle, he was covered in Hume blood. He looked around him. The three Humes lay dead. Worse than dead. They were literally torn apart. Their heads were smashed in, their arms and legs were severed from their now hollow midsection. Xeshiur lay in a pool of not only Hume blood, but Hume organs and bone. Xeshiur spat. More bright red blood. He wiped his mouth, and faced his cowering, staring soldiers. He stared back. Xeshiur: I- He stopped. The anger he felt moments ago had been replaced by shame. Trembling now of embarrassment and vulnerability, he ran, as quickly as he could, into the forest where his old hut stood. He slammed the door. It swung off its hinges. Xeshiur sobbed... Meanwhile... In a place far northwest of Almaran, an ancient castle stood perched at the edge of a cliff. Its walls were crumbling, stones were missing, and three of the five towers hd long since been leveled. Thick clouds covered the sky, and thunder rolled. Rythymic gales of wind swept around the castle. WOOSH... WOOSH... WOOSH... A dark cloud moved towards the castle. It was very fast, and very dark. WOOSH... WOOSH... WOOSH... That was no cloud...

Morning... It had been days since Xeshiur discovered the pile of skeletons and weapons inside the fallen tree. He was growing restless. Why were they staying here, anyway? It's served no purpose. What they should have been doing, instead of staying in the same ambushed camp, was heading back to Windhyte Village, then to Aquaduct City. Xeshiur sighed. The tree hid forty-three Hume staffs. Only thirty-five were in good working condition. They were most likely obsolete by now, but are still much more powerful than swords, clubs, and arrows. Xeshiur growled. He couldn't take waiting anymore. What was going on back at Thira Town? The question had been poking at him for some time now. If they are not willing to fight, should they just be going about their business again? Xeshiur got up from where he was kneeling and called four Halbreed to his position. They banged their chests with their right fists, as form of saluting. Xeshiur: Listen up. I have orders for you four. Go to the edge of Thira Town. Quietly. Do not let anyone see you. See if they are doing anything suspicious, anything that may get in our way. Report back to me before nightfall. Understood? Halbreed 1:Um... We're supposed to do what now with the what-what? Xeshiur growled. The idiocy of these people! Xeshiur struck the Halbreed, and he fell to the ground. Xeshiur looked at him, then at the terrified three, and sighed. Xeshiur: Bah, I will go with you brainless fools, just to make sure you do not get lost anywhere. Xeshiur gathered the rest of his troops and notified them of what was to happen. He ordered them to stay here until they return. Miraculously, they seemed to understand, and looked confident that they could handle whatever may happen in the general's absence. So Xeshiur and the three other Halbreed carefully made their way to Thira Town. They went around the main gates. They turned north and crept silently to the northern borders. If Xeshiur recalled, the forestation was quite dense there. They would be able to see and hear much of what was going on without being seen or heard themselves. Sure enough, as they headed north, they had to wind around more and more trees, and once Xeshiur was satisfied that they were in the right place, they stopped. He ordered them to get on all fours and crawl forward, closer to the town. Closer. Closer. Now, a few skinny birch trees were the only thing between them and the small grass prarie that was part of Thira Town. Xeshiur could see the huts. He saw firewood next to doors. He saw buckets of water. All seemed normal, except that there were no Halbreed. The place looked deserted. One hut obstructed his view from the main square. He ordered his men to follow him, as he crawled west about twenty-five feet. He looked back, and saw... nothing. The main square was just as barren as the rest of the town. Xeshiur walked out from his hiding place, into the field, and onto the dirt road. The three others followed. Xeshiur was stunned. How could everyone disappear? He noticed again the place where his house once stood. He moved slowly, silently, and peeked in the window. No one there. He moved inside and looked around. This seemed to be a place of business. Tools lay organized on a bench. A large bucket of water stood next to the bench. An anvil stood bolted to the floor behind it. Xeshiur sat down in the large chair. He looked out the window, and thought he saw something crash through it, something that would explode. He shook his head and looked again. Nothing. Out of sheer spite, he grabbed one of the tools off the bench and left. Back on the street, Xeshiur noticed the other three quietly and swiftly check the other houses. There wasn't a soul anywhere. Something caught Xeshiur's eye. He looked up, at the roof of one of one of the huts. He saw a Halbreed draw back quickly out of sight. It was a female. She looked scared, but she seemed to know what she was doing. Xeshiur yelled for the others and scrambled up the wall of the hut and peeked over the roof. He saw the Halbreed back on the ground, behind the hut, fleeing into the woods. She was defintitely female, about forty, maybe a few years younger. Xeshiur jumped back down, and was about to chase off after her when he realized that she may be leading them to a trap. He backed away and stopped his men, who didn't seem to know that when the general stops, you stop also. In a rage, Xeshiur slammed a paw into the wall of the hut. He was sick of playing games with the people of Thira Town. He ordered his troops to set two huts on fire. He watched as the Halbreed piled hay around them, and smiled as they set them to burn. That will send a nice message to these cowards, Xeshiur thought as he laughed. And with that, they made their way safely back to camp. Xeshiur didn't want to be around when the residents of those huts came back to see their homes turned to ash. When the four returned to camp, Xeshiur told everyone to gather their supplies. They did, and for the rest of the day they headed back to the abandoned Windhyte Village. Bleh, come on, peoples...

What does your sig/avator/user name mean?
Char! replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in General Discussion
My username has a history much longer than I wish... I used to be known as Char-Char,Mander-Char! (great name, I think). I came up with that because, at the time, I was into Pokémon. My favorite character was Charmander, and in his first episode he shouted out - you guessed it - char-char,mander-char! So yeah. Then, after v2 crashed, and once it got set up again, my name became too long. But I coaxed Adam into putting the name in for me, manually. So then I was Char-Char,Mander-Char again. Recently, James convinced me that it was too long, and needed to be shortened. Despite my protests, I decided to shorten it to Char! It's grown on me, but I feel it lacks the full charm of Char-Char,Mander-Char! Ah well. And my avatar is the character I am in James's RPG: Online Another World: The Return. And that's about it. :) -
Xeshiur stared at it. He hadn't known it was that big. How he would tackle such a monster of a- Halbreed 1: Where would you like it, sir? Xeshiur: Put it... Lay it down right over there. The three Halbreed lowered the tree onto the beach. It made an unsatisfying thud before it sank into the white sand. Halbreed 2: Sir, you might want to know that- Xeshiur held up a paw. He approached the tree. He was not a very good craftsman, but he knew that Almaran Pine is very hard stuff, and impervious to many kinds of attacks. How it fell in the first place puzzled him, and he wanted to know the answers. Probably carpenter ants is all, Xeshiur thought as he walked around to the jagged edge of what used to be the base of the tree. Instead, what Xeshiur found caused him to leap back in terror. He turned around and faced the sea. What was that? A shadow? For a moment Xeshiur thought he saw something in the night sky block out the moon. But when he took a closer look he saw nothing. Maybe it was too dark after all. Bah, he thought, my eyes are playing tricks on me. He turned back to the tree. Inside the trunk were bones of long dead Halbreed. They had obviously died very painful deaths. ribs were broken, skulls were crushed in, arms and leg were dismembered. Also inside the trunk... Hume weaponry. The same odd staffs he saw kill his family. Xeshiur dropped to his knees and bowed his head. It was all he could do not to cry in front of his troops. He stood again. He turned to the three who had brought the tree to him. Xeshiur: Did you know these were here? Halbreed 3: We saw it when we picked it up. We kept it from view of the others, we didn't want to start another panic, sir. Halbreed 2: We tried to tell you, sir, but you cut us off. Xeshiur: Hmm... Xeshiur looked back at the moon. Those bones signify war. A war that never really ended. The Humes... will... pay... Xeshiur began to walk away, back towards the forest. Xeshiur: Gather those metallic staffs. Bring them back to camp. He stopped. With his back still turned, he spoke quietly: Xeshiur: And... and bury the skeletons. We will wait for your return. Do not mention the bodies to anyone. Please. We walked again. The three Halbreed looked at each other, and solemnly carried out their orders. I'm kinda in a hurry, so please excuse any rushed sense you get from reading this.

Hey James... I know Ami's not in Almaran... Ibs contacted her with some magic, and I assumed what with her being in Verdun, it would throw a nice twist into the story. I didn't know those two Humes in Final_Flash's post were you and SG. My mistake there. Ah well. :) How did this happen? Who did this? Xeshiur's army was in a panic. Halbreed were running everywhere, and for a brief second he thought he was a child again, watching the Humes destroy his family and his home. He shook his head and addressed the startled Halbreed: Xeshiur: Soldiers, stop! He was ignored. Perhaps he wasn't even heard... Xeshiur smirked. I will have to be louder, Xeshiur thought. keeeeeeEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!! Xeshiur let loose with his Howl attack once more, and nearly all of his troops stopped in their tracks. Some fell. Most covered their ears in agony. Xeshiur was not affected, obviously, and he strolled through the crowd looking at these pathetic excuses for members of his army. It was dark; the fire had been put out by the fallen tree. But no matter; they could all see just as well. Xeshiur rubbed the back of his head. Whoever threw that rock knew a Halbreed's weakness. He was sure a bump would form there soon enough. Xeshiur: You call yourselves warriors??? You march in my army yet you cringe at the cowardly, hit-and-run attacks of one Halbreed? When we face the Humes, will I expect the same behavior out of you?! Xeshiur looked at each Halbreed in the eyes. Each one lowered their heads, ashamed. Xeshiur: What will it take to show you that in war, attacks will happen! Staying calm and fighting back is the only way to win in a war! Whoever did this, they will pay eventually, but until then? Clean up the camp. Someone restart the fire. He pointed at three burly Halbreed. Xeshiur: And you three. Pick up that fallen pine tree. Bring it to the beach, along with carving tools. He looked at everyone once more. Xeshiur: You have your orders. He left camp and marched to the beach. Fortunately, that Zaius character was no longer there. He went close to the water, but kept far enough away to avoid the crashing waves. The full moon shone high above in the sky. Clouds obstucted most of the sky, but the moon was made an exception. He sat cross-legged there, and buried his head in his paws. How could this happen? If such events are made to be a habit, how will this ever work? We would not stand a chance without more Halbreed. Elves and Quart will surely help. Ibs will see to that... ......Far away, below Thira Point, Ibs stood on a large rock. He was waving his arms and chanting a sacred Elfin spell. He was suprised he was even attempting to do this. If the spell went wrong, or if he lost control... The wind rose and the waves were getting stronger. Rain started to pour, drenching the small elf. Thunder sounded, and lightning struck over the sea. Ibs squinted and saw something shoot out from the water. It was enormous. Its wings were massive, and each beat of them sent gusts of wind into Ibs, even from far off. It was all he could do to stay standing. The creature was pitch black. It possessed one horn at the top of its head. Its neck was thick and long, and connected to massive, muscular shoulders. Its legs were deadly-looking, and its feet each ended in sharp, long, scythelike claws. Its giant arms were no different. Its tail was at least twenty feet long, and with one swing, anything could be destroyed. The creature was the only one capable of flying him to Oleron and Esperna. It was his only option. Still, as it soared towards Ibs, he wondered if this summoning spell was really such a good idea... He was beginning to fear for his life... And he was extremely hot. He never before felt such intense heat. He dropped his arms and clutched his chest. The creature flew closer. Ibs's face turned bright red, then dark red, then an intense purple. The creature landed ten feet from him, menacingly large and obviously angry at being awoken from its rest. It stood fifty feet tall, and its wingspan twice that. Ibs looked at his hand. It was on fire! It spread through his arm, and quickly engulfed the rest of his body. The relentless pouring of rain did nothing to stop the fire. Ibs screamed in agony, and when the flames reached his head, it exploded. The creature roared as bits of the elf's burning head singed parts of its body. Only a small amount of blood oozed from the burns. The creature was not afraid... Nothing could kill it. It took off again, and flew out over the waters, in the direction of the Isle of Dreams. The rock it stood on had some of its blood on it... It was blue...
