1. Okaru had been watching Ryokotsu intently as he spoke with Hotaru. Something had been wrong, it wasn't him leading so far ahead that was common for the point ninja to be the strongest, and lead enough ahead so he can alert those in the main group early. Though he tried telling himself he was just paranoid, he couldn't fight it any longer. "Hotaru, don't take your eyes off of sensei" He didn't want Matsuda involved, he was already too preoccupied with the thought of hurting or killing another, "something's up, sensei's movements have become erratic. It's as though he's trying to keep somebody from guessing our next move. I think we might have somebody on our tail." Though it seemed natural for the point man to notice danger in front, Hotaru didn't miss a beat. She had caught on as well. "I think you're right, I'll switch positions with Matsuda since we're more likely to be hit from behind." Okaru nodded and cut his speed before Hotaru had a chance to. He knew she was probably the better pick, but he didn't want to have to worry about Matsuda if anything happened. He just wasn't ready yet, hopefully he would be when the time came, but Hotaru knew how to talk to him better then Okaru did. "What's up Okaru?" Matsuda asked, just as he proved with the bell test. Matsuda was certainly the smartest of the three, hell he'd probably figured out what sensei was doing before Hotaru or Okaru did. "Nothing, I'm just getting tired of listening to Hotaru. I need some time to myself, why don't you take right flank position beside her for awhile." "Are you sure everythings okay?" Okaru was at a loss for words. He was never one to be comforted growing up, and had no euphemisms for "Shit's about to hit the fan." "Of course, I just can't stand listening to Hotaru anymore. Talking about genjitsu this and genjitsu that, makes it hard to ask her out ya know." Okaru smiled a bit when Matsuda's jaw hit the floor, it widened even more when he saw the boy turn a nice shade of purple. "You...and Hotaru!? I...I..." Matsuda turned and took up his position on the right flank. "Matsuda's smart, he'll figure out I'm teasing eventually. But at least that'll hopefully keep his mind wondereing for a while." Okaru's smile turned into a stern look when he glanced behind the group. Though it was dark, he could swear he felt something...or rather someone shadowing them.
2. You should have added Hinata....ohh sorry wrong kind've story. Nope I choose Pein since it seeemd Tobi was probably the number 1 choice. Figured Pein would've.....stirred stuff up.
3. I used to be bad about this, particularly after I got back from basic training. I just took the initiative and forced myself to quit, I'm still guilty of all the other swears several times a day. I think that if you cus you're human. But if you do it in every sentence as the article says then I agree you need to reavaluate yourself and your vocabulary.
4. OOC: Okay 4 vampires left, plus malachai. I think it's time to get ready to end this first mission. Dean finished pulling his blade out of the giant vampire. Standing back he thought about how his team had grown. Now they stood together, facing their foes. Dunan and Dawner were squaring off against one, Sile another, Karyn and Calil were engaging a third, and Draco... Deans' eyes grew wide as he saw the 4th and final vampire stalking Draco. Or at least the footprints he was making in the soft soil. Apparently this vampire was invisible, and Draco was stuck trying to end the beserk state. "I guess it's up to me" Dean charged, leading with a throwing knife that dug into the vampires back. Though it was unmistakably invisible to the naked eye, it's scream was most certainly not. It's scream made Draco, still beserk, turn. Seeing the dagger hanging in the air, not worried about a possible weapon, Draco dove on the vampire and began grabbing and ripping. Dean couldn't fight the nausea accompanied by Draco's show. The vampire lay waste at his feat...or rather pieces of the vampire. "Draco, calm down. You're going to crap out." At the sound of his name, Draco turned to face Dean. Hate on his face.. What happened next, Dean knew, was inevitable. Draco charged Dean, beserk and ready to kill. Dean knew he could match his strength on a normal time, no chance now. He had to rely on his demeanor to take him down, he had to find a way to calm down Draco, or it was very likely one of them would die.
5. Well...I'm thinking something about an undead assassin sent after the furer(sp). Intel came in regarding the foiled atempt. Our boss has the location of the traitor....and that's all I got. Any takers?
6. Spring break is a variable holiday Chibi (hint, hint). My St. Patties day ended up rather drab. Instead of kicking it at a local pub I ended up helping my fiancee study for her final today. I guess some things are more important....but did she have to pinch me after I offer to help?
7. This is one of the biggest debates we had when I worked at Mcdonald's. At the end of the shift one manager would be cool with us eating the leftovers, while at the end of another that particular manager would not allow us. Policy was it gets counted and goes in the trash, but who was right? When I was wrong it was easy to write the second manager in my scenario off as stuck up, and just mean. But as I've grown up and gotten into management myself (not at mcdonald's) I've learned to see things differently. Allowing employee's to take ANY food is directly taking sales away, sales boost profit and stocks etc. So I can see where the guy should be disciplined (as long as no managers send false signals). But firing somebody based on this would be wrong, and is most likely only part of the story. I'm sure it goes deaper, and that the sandwich was only the proverbial straw. Same thing with the misconduct. I'm sure if he was a model employee, all he would've received would've been a write up. Due to him, most likely, being an unsavory employee he was let go in the worst way. Of course I have no fact to back this up, but I can be fairly sure.
8. hmm....they say curiousity killed the cat, but I can't help being a little curious as to what it said. But I do appreciate the give it time advice, though as I've seen on the boards that's not the "way things work". So I'm going to keep it scraped, thanks for the words of encouragement though.
9. I'm going to go ahead and call this one a bust, I know I said we'd start on the 23rd but due to lack of interest I'm going to scrap it and revamp in some way. If anyone has any suggestions to make this better in some way please feel free to post it here or pm me. I'd appreciate any feedback, constructive or otherwise. -Drizzt
10. I really think if we want to keep this story going we're going to have to do some brainstorming. I know Nessaja's not able to be on very often at the moment to start our next mission. But if anybody has any ideas, other then assassinating hitler....that would throw a monkey wrench into our schemes, then we need to push it along ourselves. I'll wait a few days and make another move along post, this one will be long as start us on a "side quest" that'll hopefully keep us going until she (nessaja) is able to take charge again.
11. Ty watched Rasic make his way up the stairs, making him the last person downstairs. How many times had it come to this? How many times had Ty done eveything he could, only to have Night berate him in front of the rest of the group. "I'll figure it out Night," He began mumbling to himself, "I'll figure out what exactally you're expecting me to do before this is over." Ty relaxed in a large recliner and tried to figure out exactally what could've been done to prevent Rasic from rushing to save the innocents. He also tried to determine what held him back from doing the same? Intuition? Experience? Or was he really becoming like Night? Those thoughts became a blur as Ty finally drifted off to sleep. ------------------------------------------------------- His dream was always the same. His mother calling to him for help, though his dream self couldn't hear her he could. Though his dream self didn't know what he was about to walk in on, he did. He tried everything to stop it, everything to keep from walking through that door. "Just turn and RUN!" He cried out to his dream visage, but to no avail. As always he entered, and as always the screams stopped as Ty emerged covered in blood. His mother's blood.... OOC: Sorry it took me so long to post, drill shut my last 4 days down.
12.
OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH WILL YOU MARRY ME?!
I don't think either Delarge could EVER top that right there. Though it breaks the 400 word rule I'd have to say I feel more distubed then ever....
13.
I would wish for: 1.) A bigger chest size. I'm not talking huge...just maybe somewhere in the high Bs, low Cs...
Don't try to grow up to fast, you're only 14. You might've just wasted a perfectally good wish. As for me I guess: 1.) Dragonball-z style powers 2.) All the dragon balls * Eternal life (dragon ball wish) 3.) Infinite access to a library with every book ever written
14.
I agree, YouTube isn't the problem so much as it is the people fighting and posting the videos.
Why I do agree that the people fighting and posting are the main problem, i don't agree youtube shouldn't be at fault. If they claim not to have the personel to keep up with the videos, then they probably should work out a better system then allow people to just "vote them off the youtube". Of course I could rant on and on about what I think they should do, but it wouldn't serve much purpose. Just that there are things a multi-billion dollar company can do in order to fix this problem themselves rather then allow a group of children rate other children's videos....
15. Sorry about that, 51 is the right number.
16. He'd never been so close...well at least not in a long time. Ty sat across from Rasic in the mansions main living room. He'd wanted to tell the big man that it was okay, that everybody makes mistakes. But he also wanted to grab him by the throat and shake him...granted that wouldn't play out in Ty's favor, but heck he may feel a little better. Instead he decided to let Night know. Night always knew what to do when somebody made a mistake, whether it be chew his ass or...well normally that's how it went. Ty stood up and started walking out of the room. He paused for just a minute, placing his hand on Rasic's shoulder. The big man glanced up, it was clear that he was torn about the night as well. "Ty I'm..." Ty cut him off before he could continue. "Descent first night Rasic..." He walked out of the room and into the garage. Night had a full scale body shop in there, though Ty always got on him for not taking care of his car better. Ty set to work playing with his baby. He left the door to the garage open so he'd hear Night arrive...what was taking him so long?
17. I thought I'd try my hand at an Otaku game. The night was cold outside the old mansion. Several OB members gathered after they received a single omnious letter... Dear fellow Ob....uhhh...person, Ummm I heard there's some treasure hidden in Greenwurst manor just outside of OB city. I'm not sure how much, but I have a friend who says there's a LOT. If you're interested please meet me at the mansion on Monday, March 23rd for a search. All treasure will be split accordingly. Your friend forever Drizzt Do'urden That was all it said, but yet it was enough to bring members from all corners of OB city.... Okay here's the situation. We are going to play a game of clue...well Otaklue. In this game everybody will be gathering in the mansion to search for treasure, but along the way people will be....dropping out. Wouldn't be a game without rules: 1.) I will select 1 person as the "killer" among all people involved. 2.) I will be playing the role as an inspector, sent to investigate the death of a fellow OB member who will be the first to die (will be somebody not playing so they won't come back as the killer). 3.) Each round will take a week, and will follow this format. A.) Each round will begin with the death of somebody, I will allow the killer to "make the kill" when the lights go out. B.) Each person involved will then make a short post telling of where they were in the room, and what they were doing when the lights come back on. Once every other round a member will be able to use the "I was searching room X for treasure." This won't keep you out of the fire, but may help you. You never know. C.) Each round will enter a "voting" stage in which all members (including the killer) will vote who they believe to be the killer. D.) The condemed will have one chance to "plea" their innocence. And we will have one more vote (this step will be a maybe. It may just be the condemed may plea'd their innocent, but it won't matter. More of a "funny" moment. E.) In the event the killer is killed off early on, a "contingency" plan will be initiated. This is something I'll work on, but hopefully our killer will be sly enough to keep others off his scent. *In order for everything to play out right please only sign-up if you can, to the best of your knowledge, commit to 2 posts a week I'll extend the rounds accordingly if we have somebody missing. If somebody just fails to post for a whole round without me hearing from them they will be the next victim, you can't help if you can't post sometimes but we can't hold the game forever. The "treasure" may or may not be real. If it is the last person(s) standing will receive it. If the killer makes it all the way through they will get it. As for a sign-up just a "hey sign me up" will suffice....well something to that effect that goes 25 characters. As the letter said we will be starting Mondady March 23rd. Unless we have two few members, then the date will be extended. (I know it's pushing Finals week for many OBers, if so and you'd like to play give me an idea of when you will be done and we can try adjusting accordingly.) -Drizzt EDIT: As always if I've left anything unlcear or you have any other questions feel free to PM me.
18.
So this is where you guys come in: I need your help to choose which one. I'll take any suggestions other than Sasuke Uchiha, because I hate Sasuke.
Blasphemy! I haven't checked out the story yet, but I do have a piece of advice from a hack writer. Taking advice off a poll like this won't make your story yours. I guess it really doesn't matter, but if you let other people determine where your story goes it won't be yours and you'll lose much enjoyment. But I'll go ahead and vote (secretally though!)
19. Didn't know where the best place to post this, and I didn't want to start a new thread (I'm afraid to start a new one in this shiny new forumn). Now I've been revisiting the series, since last time I watched I only made it to the first 10 episodes, right now I'm on 23 and the website I'm watching only goes to 56. Is that the entire series up to date? Also, is the manga way ahead of the series currently?
20.
I think the scariest game for me is still the original Silent Hill. Silent Hill 2 had some brilliantly scary moments, but SH was such a new experience... I'd never come across anything like that before.
I think the Silent Hill series killed itself in that the first SH was something new, sort've...horror done right. What happened though was they used the same atmosphere, and while equally erie, the same monsters over and over again lost its luster.
21. OOC: Malachai is more then any one person can handle. Plus remember, chibi's bite turned you into a wolf pup, so I doubt you'd even be able to scratch him. Sit tight, still 7 vampires to go. Dean's plan was either about to make or break him. He lunged at the vampire, he swung his blade in a wide arc. The vampire easily dodge, planting a firm kick in Dean's chest sending him realing straight into Calil. Apparently thinking him to be an enemy Calil turned with a kick sending Dean sailing. "Oh Dean sorry." She reached down and helped him up. "Are we going to finish this girlie?" Her vampire combatant hissed. "Looks like somebodies in a hurry to die." Dean shot her a grin, everybody knew how he felt about killing vampires. It wasn't hard to figure he'd be a little happy about the situation. Dean turned and rushed his vamp. Up until this point, every move he made was already anticipated, hopefully this one wouldn't be. Dean began swung his blade low, as expected the vampire jumped over it. As he spun through the attack he thought to himself "Feint high and swing low." Coming through the spin Dean came high. The vampire lept, assuming Dean was going to switch his attack low. Instead Dean kept his momentum, his blade dug in deep into the vampire. Severing his arm and digging halfway into his abdomen. "You bastard!" Dean discerned from the screaming. "How did you?" Dean put his foot in the chest of the vamp, and ripped his blade out. The sound was sickening sweet, it even made Dean smile. "It's amazing how a beautiful woman can even make a vamp break his concentration." Dean glanced at Calil as she was fighting the vampire that moved so fast Dean hoped she'd be alright. "Malachai will feast on your friends flesh." The last words the vamp ever spoke as Dean took his head. Dean looked around to see how his friends were fairing, that's when he noticed the big vampire approaching Karyn from behind. Dean charged towards her. "Karyn, DOWN!" Dean called, at once Karyn hit the dirt and Dean vaulted off her back landing a kick in the vampires chest. Only to have himself knocked back by the vampires strength. "I may need some help with this one Karyn." Dean called to the young wolf. "Hey where's Dunan?" Karyn pointed to the small werewolf standing in front of Malachai. "He killed one, but the little guy just doesn't know when to quit." Dean couldn't help but smile a bit. It was like Dunan to want to go for it all, but if he didn't break up the fight he WOULD die....
22. I was watching our local news station last night before coming into work, and a single headline caught me; even enough so to come into work late. It seems that people are now posting videos of themselves as "personals". Rather personals specifically targeting mothers, or rather mothers that are attempting to find sperm donors. I guess I can't grip this. I can't understand what would possess a person to search for a sperm donor online? I know that picking a "prime stud" is a priority for many mothers to be, but would you really go as far as searching online? Or guys would you ever consider putting a video of yourself online offereing this service?
23. The talk about LOZ brought me back to the original, and those dang hands that came out of the walls and sucked out out. Those buggers would pop out all over the dang place at the worse possible moments giving you the "Oh #@%$" factor.....well "Oh darn" factor since I haven't played it since I was in the single digits.
24.
I suspect that if kids in the 50's or 60's had access to YouTube, the end result may be pretty similar.
Such a true statement. People think the worlds going to hell...though not far fected, many things that the new generation does that is "evil" are things that were done before. I blame YouTube itself for allowing things like this. How far will the videos they allow to post go before somebody puts a stop to it. "YouTube takes a strong moral stance against Pornography" but yet some poor kid getting the hell beat out of him is okay.
25. There's a statistic Chibi(horsewoman) that I can't quote off the top of my head, but I'm sure that at least one person on here as heard of it or knows it. It's an outrageous amount of people claim to have Irish blood, though actually don't have any. Mostly for the "joy of being Irish" I suppose. I know I'm some sort've super low number like an eighth Irish or something to that effect. Nothing worth saying "Hey I'm Irish" because there's too much other stuff watering me down. I'm a mutt and proud of it.
