1.
Once more I am going to vote for Kei because she is just a really enjoyable character. I didn't quite enjoy Ceras because, okay so she is alright looking, I found her to be a bit annoying.
I so don't see how Kei is a better character than Ceras T_T Ceras is sort of like a tough chick, but she's still girly enough to be really cute... (plus, the Harkonnen II is super badass~ coolest weapon ever XD) I'll say again that if you've only seen the anime, you're missing out. Ceras is a lot cooler in the manga~ (But, I mean
she fights Nazis and takes out a blimp... so cool~
) I found Kei really annoying ~_~; (then again, I found everything about Dirty Pair really annoying)
  2. I'm pretty sure this is by an artist who goes by the pen name Blade. (either that, or it just looks a lot like their work) http://bladecham.com/ Great stuff ^^ Does a lot of art of ChamCham from Samurai Spirits (I think?) (this officially proves I have no life T_T)
  3. Nyuu is super cute~ Plus,
Lucy kills like 20+ guys in five minutes... the first five minutes of the first episode... so cool T_T
Naru looks really generic anyway ~_~ At least Nyuu is cute (plus she's got pink hair... I have a weakness for girls with pink hair).
  4.
I'm guessing that Kei's gonna win... because she's cuter.
Kei is so not cuter >_< Just by looks, Ceras would get my vote. Kei has weird hair O_o; on top of that, her outfit is really silly looking... Stuff like Dirty Pair is all about fanservice anyway (I have seen Dirty Pair ~_~ horribly boring. I couldn't stand watching more than a few episodes. Hellsing is way cooler.)
Actually, I lied. From one of the comments during R1, Ceres seems like one of those "almost badass" anime chicks. She's cool and capable enough, but she relies just enough on the main character and is just emotional enough that she isn't quiet cool enough to be called badass. (I just used the word "enough" three times in that last sentence) Am I right?
I say Ceras is very badass. In the anime, they make her out like she relies on Alucard, but she's a much cooler character in the manga (plus, she's got like the coolest guy ever as a love interest. Squee for Pip). She can do her share of damage to the Nazis without beind told to do so.
I haven't seen too many scans since I don't wanna spoil it, but I heard that Ceras' fight with Zorin Blitz is pretty cool.
But I've got volume six and she's pretty cool in that. The image of her for the chapter Balloon Fight is prolly the coolest image of Ceras ever And Blood Ceras just owns all. I mean, how cool is that? XD (note - this figure is based on the manga, where her uniform is yellow and not blue. It's red here. It's pretty easy to figure out why). I'll cry if Ceras looses T_T
  5.
I just checked the site and it only really tells you about Yaoi expos, ithere no way i can get to them anyway cos i'm in england, north london to be precise. All i need to know is if any thinks that there is a yaoi series that is well drawn that they have read that they think was good. It's just that i can't find any more gundam wings dounjishi site( which has my favourate yaoi pairings of all time) and i really want some yaoi, but i have read the start of demon diaries which wasn't too bad, but i can't stand a plot that involves Demons and ninjas. I was also think about Fake but i not sure what to get, that's why i'm asking for recommendations
Fuu T_T I rather liked Demon Diary. I like Fake. ^_^ (funny thing is, I bought it for the gay couple... and, by the end of it, I liked the straight couple better.....) Skyscrapers of Oz was alright... mostly I bought it cause the art was pretty, but the story turned out to be fairly amusing. (I'm too lazy to look for anything... that's the only thing I can see in my bookshelf from where I'm sitting that isn't Japanese ^^; ) If you're looking for doujinshi... I usually buy mine at cons XD or in Japan ^^; so I guess that doesn't help much. But there's Ebay.... ^^; (ARGH, completely randomly, there's currently a lot of doujinshi on ebay by IDEA. T_T why don't I have money when I find stuff by a circle that I actually like? *cries*) But, with ebay, it's sort of hit and miss.... and you usually end up paying more than you really want to (or sometimes less, if you're lucky) There's also a site called JPQueen which sells lots of art books and things (and lots of doujinshi). I've purchased things through them ^_^ I'm pretty sure they'll ship any where too... Since you mentioned liking Gundam Wing, here's the link to the seach on GW doujinshi~ click here
  6.
I actually like this style best when mixed with simpler, more worldly articles of clothing. For instance, a fancy dress, covered in bows, lace, and with a lot of bodice, accompanied by a jean jacket. It's somehow more interesting than right mundane or right Gothic. Come winter, I hope to add some more elegant pieces of clothing to my wardrobe, since cold weather allows for layers without boiling. : )
You see a lot of simular combinations (frilly things with jeans) in Fruits magazines like Kera. Mostly it's frilly skirts with jeans under, or a cute lacey shirt with jeans. (I often wear a cute t-shirt, an EGL style skirt, and jeans together ^^) You should try and check out a magazine like Kera or something for more examples~ Fruits is pretty cute also ^^ EGL things can be worn in the summer also XD; It's not all about HUGE dresses with lots of layers... there are other types of clothing as well (without as many layers of lace). (I own this one XD it's so fun~ and it's really comfy~ mine has black lace instead of white though) There are also cute summer dresses that are more sweet lolita than gothic, but I can't find any images right now ^^;; All examples are from Body Line
  7.
I am highly in love with this fashion. Although, I cannot dress like it. My parents wouldn't accept it and hate me. o___o; Oh how I long to wear EGL clothing. Roar! Yay for Mana!
That's awfully sad T_T Perhaps you could introduce your parents to it slowly? (that's what I did with my mother ^^; first cosplay, and then EGL style... and then I just sort of stayed that way *laughs*) And I'm randomly going to reccomend Ebay again~ *laughs* Currently, there are a few nice things there~ (like this and this!) There's also bidding service places that let you go through Yahoo Japan (which is sort of like ebay) you have to pay a service fee ~_~ but some of the things aren't as expensive as they would be buying them else where. (here's the EGL general search through the bidding service Rinkya) Just keep Japanese sizes in mind ^^; Most Japanese girls are all around the same size and height... so there are a like of one size fits all sort of things. (and, generally... if it's a size M in Japanese, it's prollly more like an American size S)

    Doll
I absolutly love the Manga DOLL by Mitsukazu Mihara. Is anyone else interested in this Manga? ^_^ If you don't know what is is here is a link: http://www.tokyopop.com/dbpage.php?propertycode=DOL&categorycode=BMG[/url']
I loved Doll~ (especially since I'm EGL ^_~ and a super dollfie owner!) I'm having a hard time finding the manga now though! I've only read the first one T_T *cries* But, I loved the stories... Very touching T_T
  9.
Wow, that's cool. I've never seen a person who dresses like that day to day, only at conventions and whatnot. Do you get a lot of stares? How often do people question you about your clothing? When they do, what do you tell them? -ArV
I don't know about Lolita Izumi, but I often get asked if I'm in a play or some other sort of event ^^; people only look at me strange when I tell them I'm not and I dressed that way just because *laughs* Questions come usually every time I go out ^^;;;
How do you wear Gothic Lolita. Well, actually, that's a stupid way to word my question. Do most of you make your clothes or do you buy them/order them, and from where? I'll probably end up having to make my own but since I've never done anything Gothic Lolita, I'm sort of afraid to go to a fabric store and look for a pattern.
I buy a lot of my clothes and mangle them.... "Normal" dresses can be bought and cut up and have lace added to them and so on. It's also easy enough to run out, buy a pattern, mangle it so it's the way you want it, and make your own things ^^ If you are scared of making complicated things like dresses and shirts, try small things like a mini top hat or something else that's really simple. If I buy anything outright, it's usually from places online or was purchased in a store in Japan. The Gothic and Lolita Bibles also have patterns of various kinds in the back of them (which range from stuffed toys and hats to shirts and dresses. All kinds of stuff!) Even if you don't use the patterns, the magazines are very nice ^_^ This site might help you ^_^ it has lots of links to Japanese brands that are popular and places to buy the clothes (both English and Japanese). http://www.avantgauche.co.uk/Links/index.html Randomly, if you want to buy Japanese things, Crescent Shop is a service who will buy you things from japan (for a fee). They are really nice ^_^ I've purchased several things through them (I purchased my lovely La Croix Noire tate roll wig through them. Very nice~) http://www.crescent-shop.com/ There's a link. You just supply them with a link or image of what it is you want and they'll let you know if they can get it or not ^_^ Keep in mind though, popular name brands like Baby the Stars Shine Bright and Putumayo are usually pretty expensive ^^; Some places do ship internationally (I think Metamorhpose Temps de Fille does, but I'm not sure?). When I was in Japan, the lady at Yellow House told me they would ship internationally as long as they were paid in Yen, but there doesn't seem to be much on their website ^^; (they sell lovely things though~ I have a suit from them). There's also Hot Topic, if there's one near you. I don't particularly like to shop there (clothes are often over priced and poor quality and tend to fall apart after a month or so), but things can be purchased from them and mangled (lace or other things added). I, personally, wouldn't buy anything from them unless it was on sale though. I hope that helps XD;
Yeah i got book nine it's just that i can't find book ten, the point is book nine isn't the end if you put it along side the series then it must be at episode 24. Kawaru is in it and he's getting all lovey dovey with shinji, dam good shounen Ai me thinks. But i can't find any information on book 10, does it even exist yet?. IT's the first manga book i've ever read and i can't find the last book :animecry: .
Technically, book 10 doesn't exist. But that's only becuase it's still being worked on. To repeat what I said earlier, book nine ended at chapter 63. Book ten picks up at chapter 64 and on (which is still being run in a monthly magazine in Japan). I think chapter 64 was printed just recently. Just wait a while. Book ten will be out eventually.
  11.
I'm thinking about picking up Suikoden 3 (since I keep hearing that Suikoden 4 is bad). I also hate the fact that these games become incredibly hard to find, I really wanted to buy Suikoden 2 a long time ago, but I never saw a copy in stores. In fact, to this day, I've never seen Suikoden 2 up close and personal.
Suiko4 really isn't that bad... the only think I hate about it is that it takes for-freaking-ever to sail from one place to the other (and thank God for Viki). But I guess it depends on what you like... I like 3, but prolly only because of Yuber ^^; Suikoden 2 is probably hard to find because they released it in limited quanities thinking it wouldn't do so great... if you're lucky, you can find it at a flea market or some such for around $10-20... it goes for a lot of money otherwise O_O EB games used to sell it for like $60 (I can't remember if the price recently went up or dropped though). Suikoden 2 is my fave XD; so I'd fork out $60 for it ^^;;;; It's the only series I buy the game day one ^^; so I've got all of them (spin offs and all *shot dead* minus the GBA card game XD; ) EDIT-- randomly, I've always loved the "knights" in Suikoden... (Camus and Miklotov in 2, Alan and Grenseal (sp?) in the first one)... but the Knights in 3 were sort of a let down ~_~ Percy was alright, but I didn't care for Borus. 4 doesn't seem to have knights at all O_o; cry Pesmerga and Yuber need to come back though T_T
  12. I suspect Winry will win just becaue FMA is more popular at the moment and she's cuter. I like Winry... She's like a Tom boy, but girly at the same time. But Washu gets my vote.... cause... I dunno, it's Washu XD she amuses me to no end. She's short and cute~
  13.
If you can seriously do that, I highly admire you. Gothic Lolitas' dresses look like they'll always be hot or uncomfortable.
It's really a lot more comfortable than it looks ^_^ Though, depending on the outfit, yes... sometimes it gets rather warm *laughs* but the same goes for a lot of other fashion that involves heavy fabrics and lots of black. A parasol helps a lot on a sunny day ^_~
However, I do enjoy making Gothic Lolita dresses for my dolfie. XD
Squee for Gothic Lolita dollfie~! A bit OT, but what sort of dollfie do you own?
  14.
I actually have never heard of it. :animeswea Is there any way you can describe it or something? It sounds sorta interesting.
If you know anything about Japanese bands... like... Malice Mizer, Mana from that band is like the supreme example of EGL fashion XD (plus, it's not fair that he's so pretty T_T) here's a link with some random info~ There are photos too (even a photo of Mana-sama XD Squee) http://www.morbidoutlook.com/fashion/articles/2002_07_gothiclolita.html I'm also into the EGL fashion (haha, in fact... I went to Japan just to buy clothes in Harajuku ^^; so sad. Now my closet is over stuffed with lace, leather, and tattered things) Baby the Stars Shine Bright is a fave brand~ They have such pretty things T_T My goal in life is to own something BSSB~ I like shopping at this place in Harajuku called Nudy Boy ^_^ they have some pretty cool things there~ (more sort of punk-ish than elegant though... lots of ragged looking things. My brother buys things from there also~).
  15. If you liked Peace Maker Kurogane, why not try and track down Shinsengumi Imon Peace Maker? (it comes before PMK, so it might fill in some holes in the plot) Death Note is pretty good too... but I'm a fangirl and have been forcing it on everyone I know ^^; I have no idea how to describe it though O_O;;;;; unless you only want manga that's actually out here ^^;; Blade of the Immortal is also pretty good.. I think it's a bit long though? (it's also a bit older... not sure if it's finished or still on going?) You might enjoy it if you like PMK ^_^ (some of the same things... samurai, supernatural elements, a bit amusing at times... it's prolly a bit more mature themed than PMK though?)
I have just read the evangelion mangs and i was wonderiong if the 10th book was out yet, it's just that i am trying to find the 10 book. I can't even find the japanese version of the book and i was wondering if it has been drawn yet. Plus i didn't know that the mangas were sooo different to the series.
The manga and anime for various series are usually really different from each other. From the info I looked up real fast, it looks like Volume nine just finished? The magazine that runs the manga (shonen Ace) printed chapter 64 last month (volume nine ended at chapter 63)
  17. Squee for Pop'n Music. A bit surprised to see it mentioned, actually ^^; I so wanna play Pop'n Music at the Arcade T_T But there's always a line when I actually find a machine ~_~ So I've never played it other than at home *cries* Mostly, I just have a horrible addiction to the UFO catcher type stuff T_T
  18.
Action Figures... Never liked them :/ Lol. Hey, have any of you heard of Final Fantasy: Before Crisis? Their official site for it is all in Japanese so I couldn't get much on it, but they are putting it on Nintendo DS. Or so I've heard.... The only other time I've heard of FF games on Nintendo is on game cube, and that game was a big failure. "Crystal Chronicles" I belive it was? Anyways it was plotless fighting and let a bunch of people down, but I wonder if this one will be better? On topic: He's a cat? O.o? Wasn't he like... an experimental wolf or something? He was used in an experiment somehow... genetic engineering or whatnot...
Before Crisis is a cell phone game (about the Turks or Shinra, as far as I can tell). I seriously doubt it'll be put on the DS, though there are rumors of it being released in the US (I think?). though speaking of Before Crisis, the OVA animation looks really simular to the animation shown in the Before Crisis commercial... wonder if the two are related? (maybe the footage of the Turks in the commercial is in the OVA? They released a screen shot of the Turks for the OVA that looks really simular to a scene from the commercial.... or maybe it's just me.) (and Crystal Chronicles was pretty worthless) And, yes, Red XIII is a cat. Or, at least, it was allways assumed he was? He looks like a cat to me ^^; i mean, he looks like (for lack of a better comparison) a lion with a flaming tail. (
though he was experimented on by Hojo, I don't believe Hojo altered him in any real way
... someone correct me if I'm wrong?)
  19. Squee for Suikoden~ The series doesn't get the attention it deserves T_T Suikoden was the first and only video game that ever made me cry ^^;
During the first game... I took Gremio's death pretty hard. Haha, I killed that guy with the fuufuu hat (I've forgotten his name?) as revenge XD and then reset the game and let him live so I could revive Gremio at the end ^^;
Suikoden II is probably still my fave out of the series... the characters in three and four were a bit disappointing (though I still haven't beaten four yet, so...) I mean, I guess with 108 characters you might start to run out of ideas ^^; but four probably had a really poor looking cast (though some of them were really interesting once you learned about them.. I was a bit sad though T_T as I really wanted to cosplay as someone from Suikoden 4, since I'd already done cosplay for 2nd game) Overall, the series is still great... but the first and second games are still my fave (I've just started the Suiko Gaiden games, so I'm not sure how amusing those are yet) I miss Yuber though T_T It seems four was the only one where he wasn't present.
  20. Since a few people asked, I went and looked up the time frame... Advent Children takes place two years after FF7.
So the fact that Red XIII looks nothing like he did in the FF7 ended makes a lot of sense ^^;

woah that's Red XIII? Yeah I agree with lostcause he really does look like a bear in that picture.
It's really just that one shot ^^; Did you look at the others? It's pretty obvious that Red XIII is a cat...thing.
Yeah, true. *adds them* People have been throwing around references to the game's ending and whatnot, also. Guess I should pay a little more attention to the use of spoiler tags in here. But then I do have to wonder, if someone doesn't even know FFVII's complete story yet, why are they reading a thread about Advent Children -- a continuation of that story? Just the info about the movie itself will end up having spoilers relating to the game.
Some people start the game and never finish it, but like it enough to check out Advent Children ^^; I have a friend who never finished the game, but is totally excited about the movie and OVA. He's currently playing FF7 again so he can beat it and catch up on everything ^_^ There might be lots of people like that XD; And, for the curious, here's an image of the figure of Cloud and Fenrir that comes with the limited edition. ...And a screenshot from the Last Order OVA ^_^ So it looks like they are certainly making the Limited Edition worth the price O_O All the extra goodies looks great~ For those interested, it looks like you can pre-order the normal version at Play-Asia.com ^_^ They have both the normal version, the Limited Edition, and what looks like a First run Limited edition (special package it says?) version of the normal version O_o; (these are all Japanese, btw. I can't seem to find a place that is taking US pre-orders?) Haha, personally, I'm gonna try and find a friend to split the cost with me XD; *needs Cloud/Fenrir figure and OVA*
  21.
-Also, Im not too pumped about the return of lame *** Raiden. I was pretty mad after MGS2 and only getting to play as Solid Snake for such a small portion of the game, but so weren't most fans of Solid Snake. Thats why Im pretty damn happy for the return of Solid Snake as the main character.
Raiden's return isn't all that surprising, since he seems to have a huge fan following in Japan (from what I can tell, mostly among yaoi fangirls XD; I like him, but he's no Snake). PSM (I think) just released an article about MGS4 and all the characters in it... Vamp appears to be back as well O_O; (I can't remember anyone else that hasn't already been mentioned XD I was just like "Squee! Vamp!" and forgot everything else)
  22.

Fourth, Cait Sith is controlled by a man -- Reeves, to be exact -- not a woman.

In the future, you may wanna use spoiler tags as I don't think everyone has beaten FF7 ^^; I can't remember how long after FF7 Advent Children is taking place... somewhere between 2-7 years? Someone correct me?
Oh, and dont forget kiddies. The movie has two versions. Collecters has alot more crap, like a game, and some other stuff.
I already posted about that XD; If you wanna know what other stuff is included, I listed it all (or at least I think I did?) I still think the coolest thing is comes with is the Last Order OVA *fangirls all over the place* (they've released screenshots of it now... which include scenes of
The Turks, Tifa, a solo shot of Zack, and Cloud and Zack is soldier uniforms.
)
Red XIII was a freakin cat, NOT A BEAR. That cant be him. Its too bear-like. Plus, where are the plumes. his scars.
There are a few shots of Red XIII out there where it shows the flaming tail and scars, so it's obvious who he is. In one of the trailers, there's a pretty cool scene of him attacking some monster things (Or was it
bahamet?
I believe Yuffie, Cid, and Vincent are in the same scene) I have no life, so I'm posting those as well ^^; the rest are attached and too HUGE to link to.
  23. I gave it a shot ^^; Not so great though, so I might try again later~ version with transparent bits without the transparent bits
  24.
I think that's just Red XIII that Cait Sith is riding on in that picture. Really, though, I'm kind of hoping they'll keep his giant, stuffed moogle. Dunno about other people, but I always thought it was funny to have something as absurd as that walking around with the other, serious characters. I'd miss it, were it not included in Advent Children.
Yup ^_^ That's Red XIII that Cait Sith is riding. I'd love to see the mog in Advent Children as well! Though, now that I think about it, the mog isn't in any of the Dirge of Cerberus screen shots O_o It would be sad if the mog was gone T_T
  25.
I'll buy the game for sure, just because its Inuyasha. And I'll just pray that its better than the last game.
Buying something just because it's InuYasha doesn't reall seem like a good idea ^^; The FMA was so bad it made my eyes bleed O_O At $39-49 for new games, just buying something because of a name seems like a bad idea ^^; I went and hunted down a few more screenshots... the game looks okay, but I don't know how old the screens I found were? Maybe it looks better? I guess I'd really have to see it in action before saying anything... but it still looks sort of boring to me ^^; The backgrounds looks sorta nice though...
