ohh and by the way, doesn't Kadaj kinda look like Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty or is it just me? Just pointing it out.
Now that you mention it ^^; he does look a bit like Raiden... Which is sort of scary (and, after the MGS4 trailer, extremely amusing. I won't be able to take Kadaj seriously now...) I don't know how many people have heard, but the release date for Advent Children in the US is September 13th. This might change *shrugs* They also announced that the special fuufuu version released in Japan will come with the following- Tsutaya have put up details of a limited edition set, including 7 extra items. As well as included the contents already mentioned for the regular edition, it also planned to include: - Cloud + Fenrir (motorcycle seen the in trailers) figure set - Bonus DVD, including: OVA [original video animation] "LAST ORDER FINAL FANTASY VII", a Making Of video, the special Venice Film Festival version, AC trailers - Voice recording screenplay replica - A cap - T-shirt - Serial numbered keyring/holder - FFVII International (Special LE packaging) Japan gets AC Sept 14th, I believe. But this limited edition version is gonna cost 29,500 yen (which is roughly $275) The normal version will be around $45 (which is about normal in Japan for DVDs?) Images of all that fun stuff can be found over here~ http://www.jp.playstation.com/dvd/ffvii/index.html I want it T_T You can also now buy AC stuff at the US Square Enix shop ^_^ very cool~ They don't sell the Shinra pin though T_T *cries* (randomly, the OVA looks pretty cool too O_O Squee for Zack XD *fangirl* the screen shot they show of Zack and Cloud makes me squee like stupid ^^; ) Not very many new screen shots of info lately, but Cait Sith is now included in the characters that will be in it ^_^

Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament R2 M4: Kaola (Love Hina) vs. Kanzaki (GTO)
GTK replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
In that manga pic she does look a bit for femmine but, I still think she looks like a crossdresser or guy. This picture diesn't support your statment anyway. still looks like a dude to me.
She is wearing a guy's shirt in that pic, so... maybe it's the fact that she seems to be caught in mid-blink? I still think she looks like a she XD; I totally love how she looks and her characters~ I always thought of her as a (for lack of a better word) tough chick, so I thought her looks really fit her personality... she's not horribly femmy, but I never thought of her as boyish either (completely randomly, does anyone know if Kanzaki was in the GTO live action? ^^; I never finished it, so I don't know T_T I was wondering what she looked like if she was actually in it? EDIT-- okay, I found out she wasn't in it T_T at least I don't think so...) For some ungodly reason, I find myself wishing I knew something about the other character for the sake of conversation O_o; But Love Hina makes me vomit, so there you have it. -
Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament R2 M4: Kaola (Love Hina) vs. Kanzaki (GTO)
GTK replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
I don't like her because of her looks but, while were on the topic....I think Kanzaki looks like a guy. Sorry to the fans but, that's my opinion. Kaolla is annoying but, funny. I have feeling this is going to be very close.
O_o; Kanzaki so doesn't look like a guy... ...so I went and found more pics of her XD *shot dead* -
On a related note, my friend's uncle, who I haven't met but who I know by two degrees of separation, got killed by Chewbacca in Episode Four. He's also had his arm melted off by alien blood in one of the Alien films. And my mum's friend's brother is Andy Serkis, who played Gollum. But then again, mentioning them is cheating really - after all, you can reach anyone on the planet through six degrees of separation.
XD *amused* I know a guy, who knows Rei Fu's brother (Rei Fu did the first ending to Bleach, "life is a like a boat") and through him I was able to get a copy of her CD~ (since I couldn't get it stateside ^^; ) I've also met a few voice actors, if they count for anything... like Amanda Win Lee, Wendee (sp?) Lee (who is super nice), Crispin Freeman, Tiffany Grant, Greg Ayers, and so on ^^; And they were all really cool~
wow. I started playing this today (borrowed it for a friend, Ive bee DYING to play it) and Im freaked out. It was cool and I was having a blast, until I got to the first boss fight. Being the idiot I am, I didn't realise it was, like, the hardest fight in the game and got everyone slaughtered in two turns. This part freaks me out. Suddenly it starts playing the ending credits and starts me back at the beginning. WTF????????????????? HAVE I BEEN PUNKED? THIS AINT FUNNY!
The game has multiple endings... you just got one ^^; Go back to where you last saved and start again.
I'm so pissed that I missed out on this game. I got Phantom Brave and La Pucelle but the was discontinued before I even knew it was out. Damn Aystralian game publishing companies.
Is there any place that sells used video games around you? That's the only way to get it now ^^; or try ebay? I didn't like La Pucelle Tactics as much as Disgaea T_T so I think it's a shame you didn't get that one~
Inuyasha: feudal combat is a arcade style fighting Game based on two person team battles. It will come out the 16th of august this year for the ps2, I've also heard rumors that you will be able to get it the fifth too though.
I could really care less about this game ^^; but I went and looked it up anyway.. the release date appears to be August first, not the 16th or the 5th. Yoinked off this site The EBGames site is often up to date on release dates most of the time, so... This could always change though, but it's the most recently updated site with a release date that I can find (the rest were older sites that might be wrong) The team battle thing looks like it might be a bit entertaining if done well though... Which would be interesting to check out. The game doesn't look bad, but all the screen shots I checked out had lots of special effects going on, so it was a bit hard to tell how the characters really looked... (though if I had to compare it to something, I'd say the Bleach fighting game at least looks better). Haha, personally, I probably won't check out this game ^^; Though the PSone Inuyasha fighting game sold pretty well... *shrugs*
Youve done quite a fine job I would say, the first one I like quite alot the har has the nice shine on it which it a nice effect and It is just overall done well I have nothing to say that is bad about it really its just really great, but maybe a diffrent hair color next time or a darker or lighter color that dark red dosent really seem to fir the overall feel blue hair actually might look cool or black or even a blondish/yellow color. The second one is nice but and the glow effect was overdid in distance if you pulled that closer to his body but had the same fading effect it would be nice. The body and jacket colors are nice and blend quite well good shadow effect where it would be darker ect. Well actually what I meant by the outline is that some parts seem a little overdone. But I would really really say that you did a very nice job. But then again this is my first time reviewing drawn images colored with PS.
^_^ Funny you mentioned making the hair blue or blonde on the first pic O_o because I thought about both! I went with red in the end htough, because he had one blue eye and one yellow one already ^^; (I did the eyes first) On the second one of Dante, I totally know what you mean about the red glow/outline ^^; It was thrown in last minute because he blended too much with the dark background... But next time I try it, I'll pull it in closer to the character and see if that helps anyway~ Thanks for the comments and such XD *loves*
-
Not bad... But they might look nicer if you added a few different colors (highlights, shadows) instead of solid color... (unless i'm totally reading it wrong from the original linework? But it just looks like you added solid color to everything... minus a few places on the first image where highlights are actually drawn?) It doesnt' look bad *** is, but a adding a bit more might give it some extra umph, you know?
Hm, my favorite anime artist is Masamune Shirow. You can check out his artwork here and here[/url']. Now, I'll give you a heads-up, he's not only an anime/manga artist, he's a giant in the hentai art area ^_^;; So, some of the pics you might want to hurry up and pass. But his style is beautiful and I hope to get anywhere near close to as good as he his.
Squee for Masamune Shirow~ He was the reason I got into manga, actually XD; I like Satoshi Shiki a lot too... who does some simular art (haha fanservice?)... but the big difference between Satoshi Shiki and Masamune Shirow is that Shirow mainly works with CG and Shiki does most everything by hand. Here's Satoshi Shiki's site~ ( clicky~ ) But there isn't much there T_T

Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament R2 M4: Kaola (Love Hina) vs. Kanzaki (GTO)
GTK replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
If Urumi loses to Su this is like a disgrace to anime lol. Kanzaki has been my favorite anime character out of at least 60 series I have seen. She has everything and more you can ask for in a character. If more people just watched GTO though would easily know what i was talking about and i at least hope she moves on past this stage.
Haha, agreed ^^ I'll cry is Kanzaki looses to a kid who apparently tries to eat everything O_o; Though, personally, I can see Kaolla Su winning on looks alone ^^; Which is a shame, really. -
Which is what they do, Their music was terrible and I don't see why it is that they were so popular in the first thing.
It all has to do with personal taste... I, personally, don't see why a lot of bands are popular, but they are... Plus, there are like eighty gazillion screaming little girls from the ages of 8-15 that totally heart the back street boys. (Randomly, I hate them because I wanted to go to a Goo Goo Dolls concert when I was a kid but my mom wanted to take me to see the Back Street Boys T_T since I was like "um, ew" I didn't get to go to either concert T_T Haha, I guess that's sort of a better reason than just because they are a boy band ^^; but I don't like that sort either) But, I'm agreeing with a few other people on this one... There are a lot of other genres out there (that are equally or less annoying). Even if boy bands are insanely popular, you don't have to pay attention.

I got to meet Nobuo Uematsu ^^ I was so intimidated by him though T_T All I could do was stand there *laughs* I mean, he's so great~ and I found his music really moving... and I get to meet him and I just stand there like O_O He signed something for me though XD So great~ I managed to thank him XD But me being a crazy fangirl, I mostly just stood there and did nothing *laughs*
hey i love anime art/pics so heres one! its not my drawing but i really like it and hope you will like it too! post your fave pics and art too!!!!!!![/COLOR'] :catgirl: :D :animesigh
Most japanese artists don't like you posting their art without asking ^^; Just so you know... you are also direct linking from that artist's website, which is stealing their bandwidth T_T In the future, you may want to upload the image to photobucket or make it an attachment and link to the artist's site. But, in response to you asking about other people's fave art and such~ I totally heart Shirou (Shiro?) Miwa's art~ Her site just got a massive redo though O_o so none of the links to her art are currently working. But here's a link anyway~ http://mmm-gee.cool.ne.jp/

So I'm pretty new at using photoshop to color my art T_T and I'm in desperate need of a crit, tips, whatever. Both images were done to practice coloring on, so they aren't great ^^; And it'd be great if I could get some feedback on the color job rather than the images themselves (but any feedback at all would be great XD ) pic one~ (info- inked sketch, colored in adobe photoshop... time- maybe 3-4 hours?) I totally didn't know what do to do with coloring his hair T_T I got there and it was like my brain died on me. I tried something new with the eyes though, and I sorta like how they turned out. The rest is....meh? Pic two~ (info- pencil sketch, colored in adobe photoshop... time - no idea T_T but I'd guess maybe around 6-8 hours?) Yeah, this is supposed to be Dante from Devil May Cry 3 ^^; the pic was done as a request for a friend of mine and was for his AIM icon... since I wanted to practice coloring more, I just sort of through his body in there T_T so it's way off. I rather like how most of the colors turned out, though the obvious anatomy problems keep me from liking this image ^^; My friend liked his icon though, so I guess that's all that counts *shot dead* Randomly, I also did the image in the banner in my sig. It was the first CG I did, which is why I didn't include it here ^^; (there are my second and third) A bigger version of it can be seen at my website redvoid.com (right as soon as you enter the site... the banner is actually an edited version of my top image, so...)

Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament R2 M4: Kaola (Love Hina) vs. Kanzaki (GTO)

Kanzaki gets my vote because I'm a fangirl~ *shot dead* If I voted any other way, she just might blow up my house T_T -
Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament R2 M3: Asuka (Evangelion) vs. Lina (Slayers)
GTK replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
Asuka may win on prettiness alone XD; *dies* Though Lina is pretty cool as well... But Asuka still gets my vote because she's so psychotic *laughs* Lina is just a big goof (though she does get to hand out with more pretty boys than Asuka does, and I suppose that has to count for something...) Lina's great too... had I been a bigger fan of the Slayers, she would've gotten my vote... but the Eva fangirl in me demands I vote for Asuka *shot dead* -
It isn't as flashy as I wanted it to be XD *dies* --edit-- oops XD forgot to past the avi~

Anime I have a question about animes in america.
GTK replied to rascalkitten's topic in Otaku Central
I thought I'd post this because I found it interesting... it was taken from the journal entry of someone on Livejournal (Nyanko-chan, if anyone happens to know who she is?). --start copy/paste-- I never understand why they take a popular kids show and repackage it so much for american audiences. Ok, no scratch that, I DO understand but I hate the reason they give for their changes. They always say American children are different than Japanese children and wouldnt like the same things. I find that to be a load of bunk, it's not the American child and the Japanese child that differs, its the American PARENT and Japanese PARENT that differs. Kids are simple, kids are entertained by the same basic principles, if its entertaining to a billion kids in one country, you can pretty much bet the same property is going to entertain a billion kids in Japan,America, Mexico, France, Botswana, you name it. Now, if the companies would say: "We are editing this for the American parents who underestimate the intelligence of their children. We are editing out any cohesive story that might be in here as we feel that pesky little plot might distract our children from the bright colors and flashing lights. We feel American children arent mature enough to handle adult topics like death, homosexuality, or god forbid, SMOKING...even tho we are well aware that middle school kids are out having babies. We are editing this so that it narrows down the veiwers who will enjoy this to our specific age demographic no more no less, in order to target our "key" audience, in doing so we know full well we are alienating anyone outside of that group, but we dont care because clearly any adult that would enjoy a cartoon and wish to support it must be a social reject and live in their mother's basement, and thus have no money." I think thats what bugs me about it, not that they DO edit it, but WHY they edit it. It seems a hypocritcal act the censor something so mundane when we have far worse thing on the tv, radio and in movies, but not in cartoons because american children are stupid. ---end copy/paste-- the whole thing can be found here~ http://www.livejournal.com/~nyanko_chan/260594.html -
Anime I have a question about animes in america.
GTK replied to rascalkitten's topic in Otaku Central
i mean mayber for the first few episodes it was like the manga, but in alot of animes the change the names and totally mess up the whole story plot. like in yugioh, tea's name is anzul tristen is honda, the only name not changed is yugis name.
In general, anime and manga are not the same... it would be silly to just straight convert it. The Bleach anime and manga are the closest to being the same I've ever seen and it's still a bit different to make it interesting enough. But, yeah....the anime is usually different from the manga because sometimes the manga isn't finished when the anime is started and they have to make stuff up (take the X movie, for example... which had a character that wasn't even in the manga since the manga hadn't introduced that character yet when the movie was cranked out) A lot of names gets changed depending on who the anime/manga is marketed towards. Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh are geared at kids, so they are gonna change the names. For a kid who's like 8 years old, pronouncing odd japanese named is gonna be really odd. So Kojiro and Musashi become James and Jesse, Jounouchi (sp?) becomes Joey, and so on. It's just easier for kids to relate to characters who have familiar or easy enough names for them to remember. It makes sense why they would change certain names, but it's still irritating. -
Squee for Shiki Satoshi~ *heart* I totally heart Shiki Satoshi's art work~ I havent' read KamiKaze though T_T I do have Riot of the world (both English and Japanese). It's a shame more of his work isn't released here T_T *cries* If you haven't already, totally check out Riot~
-
I've read some of it, but not a whole lot. (and you might wanna make your posts longer from now on ^^; ) I own most of what's currently out, I just haven't read it *dies* It's not a bad series from what I can tell though. The art is pretty enough ^^; I don't like Kalutika (or whatever his name is) though XD;;

Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament R1 M15: Ceres (Hellsing) vs. Temari (Naruto)
GTK replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
Squee for the Police girl. Ceras is just ten times cooler than Tamari. Plus they make super badass figures of her XD -
Wow! That's so cool!! :animesmil I'm kinda jealous. :p lol :animesmil so how'd you meet him? I met the black power ranger once on an online chat room for anime discussion. I think he was the one from when they were beastie rangers...I don't know. His name was Jack Guzman or something. He was nice too.[/FONT']
He goes to a lot of cons ^_^ I've seen him a few times, actually. The first one was CKon (in Indiana)...and he was totally cool XD I got to hug him and everything (and I bought art prints from his wife...who is an amazing artist!). He was also at Anime Central (in Arlington, Il) this year.... He seems to go to a few cons ^_^ So maybe if there's one near you, you can check the guest list and see if he's gonna be there? His name is Rikki Simons. I believe his wife is Tavi (or Tavisha)? They are both super nice ^_^ Here's his journal, if that helps any XD;; http://sadcircusbythesea.typepad.com/

I'd tell her parents EVERYTHING you know about the whole thing O_o It seems awfully odd to me (and I've met TONS of my friends from online ^^; Her situation just seems weird, especially if she's so young and he's 29. He could be a scary pedophile or something). May I ask how old your friend is currently? As she isn't 18 yet, and this guy is so old, it totally makes him look like a pedophile. If it were me, I would never talk to someone like that O_O it's just way too weird. And, this is coming from someone who has met several of their online friends. I usually only meet people who I totally trust and are around my age (plus I always make sure it's in a place with lots of people, you know? It's safer that way) If she truly wants to meet the guy and he wants to meet her, she shouldn't have to go to India O_O;;;; Maybe she could talk him into coming to see her and meeting in a public place, like a mall...and take someone with her O_o; like a friend, or parent. Or a cop XD;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
