I'm a bit confused as to what you mean ^^;; (and when starting a thread, you should write more anyway). Are you wanting to know where we get inspiration for manga and things? (assuming we draw?) XD;;;; Care to explain?
-
Kind of random but, I've been DYING to see the FMA movie ;_;. Does anyone know if they're planning on an American release?
I'm pretty sure it'll get a release ^^; it'd be silly if it didn't. Randomly XD; Movie Hughes looks all sorts of creepy *laughs* but, mostly, I think it's the hat ^^; (I think the movie site lists him as Police Officer *dies*) And thank you Meggido and Tyler Koregaten for the episode titles and such ^^
-
Sort of random XD Does anyone know what episode number FMA is on now? I'd seen the show ages ago, and then it got released here T_T and I missed seeing the rest in Japanese (Argh, the english makes my ears bleed).... but i wanna see the last two episdoes ^^: cause that's all I need...and I don't know the name of them... so, does anyone know the episode names? Or can anyone tell me what episode number they are on now?

I'd never even heard of Godhead till a year ago when I went to a concert and they were opening for Orgy (hahah, I totally love them now.. I'm actually listening to them as I type this ^^; ) I'm having trouble finding their CDs though T_T cry. The only one I've got is 2000 Years of Human Error
-
I'm pretty sure that the current FF music tour includes the Black Mages. Squeee XD I thought you could order the CD through the Square Enix site, but it looks like you can only get Dear Friends and More Friends O_o; Anyone know where to get the Black Mages cd?
I actually intend to scan it, clean it up and stuff, and then print it again....if something happened to my comic and I had no copies, I would die! :animestun And by boundaries I mean the second one, lol. I'm sorry I'm so confusing! :animestun
O_o If you mean panels and such, there is no real set way to do them. They are just drawn in as the artist sees fit. Look at manga for examples ^^; I mean, you just use a ruler and draw them however you want... If it helps any, when I do manga pages I do a rough sketch layout type thing first (usually on lined paper.. not sure why). I lay out how I want the panels to look, and then I draw them on good paper. I just draw my images in them after words. Does that make sense? I'm so confused now XD *dies* I hope that was want you meant?
-
Personally, I think Kyo and Yuki should get together... *stoned to death* *coughs* But I think Yuki should be with Tohru ^^;;;;;;; I love Kyo though T_T
^Could this mean that we've actually found a forum that understands just how overrated Sepheroth is? Finally, eh?
*gasp* I'm a bit surprised, actually XD; He'll probably be mentioned eventually... or not? I think he shouldn't be included simply because he's so overrated that he'll suck up votes XD;;;; I would have mentioned the Turks, but since they are a group I figured maybe they wouldn't count ^^; And Squee for Liquid Snake XD Though I didn't notice it until Neko mentioned something... most of the villains mentioned so far do have silver/white hair O_o creepy.

http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=36812 There's already a Yami no thread. ^^;;;;
For the specifics that GTK asked for, I'm not making a web comic. Just one on paper. I must sound confusing :animesigh But the thing is I want to print out like an outline of the comic so when I actually draw it out, I know the boundaries. Still confusing? Well if you compare the sizes of manga pages to the regular printer page I'm using (8 1/2 by 11 I think), the manga page's way smaller! :animestun I tried going to Tokyopop too...the mechanical specification ma bobbery thing just confuses me...if someone knows how to use it, maybe that'll answer my question.
if you don't plan on printing it, it shouldn't matter~ But, if you want to print it, the Tokyo Pop site lists measurements and such. You can just measure up that area on the paper you are using and go from there. If you wanted to print out something with the area marked, you could make a sort of "master copy" with the guide lines on it and then just make copies. Honestly, I'm still a bit confused on what you want ^^;; *dies* By bounderies do you mean the area that is "printed" marked off from the area that will be cut off when printed? Or do you mean like boxes and panels and such?

you might wanna try playing around with oekaki... it's not horrible complicated and is fancier than paint. You have to draw in the program though... with a mouse, or a tablet if you have one. http://dog.oekakist.com/skyflowe/ there's one. and here's another http://www.oekakicentral.com/fp/fp1/index2.php But, to color sketches and such that I've scanned, I usually use Adobe Photoshop. I found a rather nice tutorial a while back, but i've lost it T_T I'll post it if I find it though.

Since I didn't see any info, I thought I'd share... OVA is called Hellsing Ultimate, running time is gonna be 35 minutes per episode, and the opening is "Broken English" by Schaft (which I personally think is really cool). The amount of episodes is still unknown as well... ^^; but it is going to follow the manga (so far, I hear it's got Rip Van, Nazis in general, and burning London). Here are a few blurry screen shots... T_T I've got a few more ^^; I can post them later if anyone wants to see (they include Integra, Alurcard, more of Rip, and Ceras). I can't find any more T_T But I heard several other characters were shown in the trailer.

I just have to say I totally love Luca from Suiko2~ Go, Pig killer, go XD I mean, what other guy
makes a woman crawl around on the ground and act like a pig with the promise of saying he'll let her go, only to laugh and kill her after she's done so
I can mention villains from non-RPG games, right? ^^;;;; I thought I read it's video game villains and not just RPGs, but if I'm wrong~ let me know and I'll edit this to just RPG characters Ash - Galerians Ash - because I'm a sad fangirl. I liked Ash ^^; And it was sorta creepy how the rest of the games villains
turned out to be aspects of Ash's personality.His name is also sort of from three passwords for various computers in the game.... being Anger, Sadness, and Hate. The games other villains, Parano, Spider, and Nitro also represented these things and were "born" out these emotions
Plus he eats uranium and uses it to enslave the human race. XD; Albedo- Xenosaga --- I mean, the guy
likes to torment several of the games main characters.... he kills a ton of Kirswassers just because they remind him of Sakura (who he hates), despite the fact that the all love him and are pretty much his witless minions...
He's totally nuts ^^; He actually -wants- to die, but can't... so he think that if he connects with U-DO it'll get Nigredo and Rubedo to kill him..... which, isn't really possible ^^; since he has the ability to regenerate his own body (inlcuding his head... cause he blows/rips it off several times just beause he can). But, the poor guy is also scared T_T cause his powers mean he can't die and he'll live forever and he doesn't want to be alone He also says things like "Ah, yeeessss? Feed me your hostility?pierce me with your hatred." ^^;;; Creepy. (randomly, if you don't know the characters.... a Kirswasser is in the image I included) Albert Wesker - Resident Evil/Bio Hazard - The guy leads the S.T.A.R.S. team into the mansion in the first game with the intent of
watching them all die so he can collect field data on the crazy monsters and such. He injects himself with T-Virus after altering it so he won't loose control of himself...
he releases the Tyrant,
hoping it will kill him and the S.T.A.R.S. members Jill and Chris... but, the virus will bring him back to life
*dun, dun, dun* They get ayway, but he still has crazy super powers. And this all just in the first game *laughs* He goes through the rest of the games trying to kill Chris (XD; and it never work), stealing various virus samples, and generally making this hard for the hero. He also worked for the Umbrella corp., but was leaking info about them to another bio weapon manufacturer... who he apparently also worked for. After his
false death
, he began working for said company, which I believe is called HCf. Wesker is also a form of Tyrant, which is pretty freaking cool. Though it isn't technically known if Wesker is a true Tyrant, or if the virus Birkin gave him/he took from Birkin (I don't remember which it was) was something completely different. Wesker has superior physical strength, and can move at a rapid pace. He's got crazy red/orange eye beause of it too (which he hides under his sunglasses) Plus I'm fangirling like stupid over him since he was in RE4 T_T So happy~

2nd child gets my vote. Mostly because her character was just really cool.... but also because there's currently a pinky st. figure of her on top of my computer and it's glaring at me (eek XD) I also totally love Tiffany Grant, who did Asuka's english voice. I don't know anything about Love Hina ^^; but I find the characters all look pretty boring... so, there you have it. Hahahaha, and I hate Kaola for bumping Urumi in the previous poll T_T

If you want technical stuff, on like how big something should be when printed, I suggest you check out Tokyo Pop's website. http://tokyopop.com/news/mangatalent/index.php That should be a link to some info about their Rising Stars of Manga page. There's a file you can download with all sort of info in it about what dimensions things need to be in. I'm pretty sure the info is in inches, but you could always type them in photoshop in inches and then switch it over to pixels. I'm not entirely sure what sort of info you are looking for ^^;;; but maybe that will help?
I always saw alchemy as sort of a precursor to chemistry. There was 'real' alchemy but it was basically medieval scientists playing around with chemicals and stuff in hope of living forever or making gold. They failed... but it did help people understand chemicals better. They had symbols for elements like lead and gold too. It was SORT of like fullmetal alchemist but not exactly. I don't think you can draw a circle on the ground and fix stuff (but if you want to try go for it! :animesmil ). I think that chemical equations and atoms are the stuff of "alchemy" now. Chemistry is actually one of my favorite subjects and I do think all those transmutation circles look cool! I don't think Alchemy is real though.
Agreed.... I always thought Alchemy was what sort of started the way for science and chemisty? http://www.levity.com/alchemy/home.html There's a random website on Alchemy for you~ A bit random, but slightly related..... Did anyone else notice that one of the so called books about Alchemy Edward looked more like something on Dungeons and Dragons? (seriously XD; (I can't remember what episode, but pause it and check it out!)
Jing interests me so much because of its crazy art style and interesting characters. I mean, it's not often that you see a talking albatross in the "hopeless lech" role, heh. Jing also has so many mysterious qualities about it,
namely, Jing's mother and Postino,
so it's just so easy for me to fall in love with it. I'm hoping that I can get the rest of the first series mangas soon and start Twilight Tales. ^^ I'm sure it's good.
Squee~ I always thought the art in Jing was a bit like Tim Burton's art ^^;;; Like if he did manga, Jing would be it *laughs* Does that make sense? I always really thought it was cool how the mangaka also worked in a lot of english text and sound effects into the art (I'm not sure if this happens as often in the first manga series? But I know it happens often in Twilight Tales). I still totally love Postino~ *heart* Something about him is ungodly cool. If you like the manga, the anime is pretty good as well.. but, like Lady Katana mentioned, it's better to get it on sale ^^: it's great, but not $30 for 3 episodes great (which I think is the price?). I was lucky and got the series on sale as well ^^

  I couldn't come up with any text ^^; so I ended up using song lyrics from SH3    Maybe Revue can do better ^^;;;;;;
I would recommend buying Final Fantasy: Crystal chronicles, While not cell shaded like the rest of the anime-games genre, It's texture reminds me of a perfectly crafted anime RPG. FFCC(Final fantasy: Crystal Chronicles) does not boast the most spectacular story line. It does however, provide a worth while RPG for the GC. For i have noticed, that most RPG's for GC quiet frankly suck, if you crave the in depth story line of ff7 or the less popular ff8(Which I like the most) I suggest you buy a PSX or Ps2. FFCC doesnt provide the best of experiences while gaming,but still provides a better than average RPG for the GC. Hope you find this useful!
I wouldn't recomend FF Crustal Chronicles...... while the characters are nice enough (as well as the graphics), the game itself is really boring unless you have three people playing.... playing alone is boring and playing with two people is more annoying than anything else (playing with both characters attacking is annoying because you both die rather quickly, and playing with one attacker and one healer is annoying cause the attacker is always dying and it's often hard to revive them because of the number of enemies in an area). There are a lot more anime based games for PS2.... but a lot of the good ones aren't out here. I -think- there are like 3 or 4 different One Piece games and like 3 Naruto games fr the GC, but I could be wrong. Looking up stuff, I also found Boboboubo Boubobo Dassutsu! Hajike Royale, two different Zatch Bell games (I think there were two), Captain Tsubasa, Groove Adventure Rave, Hikaru no Go, Ultimate Muscle (is that what's it called here? There are like 3 diff games O_o but I think we only got one here), Lupin, Gundam (some released here, some not), Doraemon, Shaman King, Zoids (I think we only have one Zoids game here? I think there's at least one more Japanese one that wasn't released here), A bit random, but Shounen Jump (I think issue 31) has an article on game called Jump SuperStars for the DS... and it looks like you can play characters from Naruto, DBZ, Yuyu Hakusho, One Piece, and several other titles.. but.... that's not really what you were looking for either ^^; ). So there are a few anime based game for the GC, just not out here. Here, the PS2 has a lot more (and I'm guessing a lot more Japanese games are released on the PS2 as well)

Weird Things Seen on the Way Home from...
GTK replied to Tatsubei Yagyu's topic in General Discussion
Hm. The weirdest thing I have ever seen on my way home from school would be a hearse at the carwash. Now, it wasn't a hearse for a funeral home or anything. It was someone's private hearse. It had a bunch of fake bones on the dashboard and a plastic bat hanging from the rearview mirror.
WAGH! So cool! T_T I want one so bad~ Weirdest thing I think I've ever seen was... (tagged cause it's sorta violent?)
...some sort of animal O_o it had been hit a little while before I drove by, I guess... but it was dragging the top portion of it's body across the road. I was like O_O It was sorta gross and cool at the same time ^^; the thing was movinv pretty fast too XD;;;
There was also this time I saw wild turkies. I'd never seen them before... my brother was driving and there was like a whole ton of them near the road. I was like "WTF, what are those?" and he was like ".....turkies, you moron." XD; I tried to get him to hit one to see what would happen *laughs* But he wouldn't ^^; (that would've been mean anyway, of course) (both things happened on the way home from school) -
Try behindthename.com It lists names and their meanings (for various languages/countries/and so on) I go their often ^^;;; I think it's a great site~ There are lots of unique names (and they are sorted in various ways...so you could just look up female names)
Hahaha, oh, how I love cross-dressing. I never really new this style was a very prominant fashion, but I always enjoyed it whenever I would go back to looking at websites of random J-rock bands. I don't really care if there are guy styles, too, I would still dress like a woman. They usually have the more fun stuff, anyway. I doubt I would be the first either. I am sure there are plenty of men who would do, or do the same already. I know there were a lot of pictures I saw where I couldn't tell if the person was a man or woman. I don't know if I will ever actually get around to maybe trying this style ever, but I really do admire it. It is just far too awesome.
Mana is the best example of a guy dressing in this fashion...and he looks great XD The "guy's" version of this fashion, I think is called Elegant Gothic Aristocrat. Mana designs some thinks like that ^^ If you check out his site, you can see them~ They are really nice, but very expensive T_T

In the future, you should try and make your posts longer ^^;;; I really like Jing ^_^ Though I like Twilight Tales better than the first series ^^;; Postino is my fave character~ Hahahaha XD Not sure why~ Jing doesn't seem to be horribly popular though ^^;; (Randomly, the 7th Heaven OVA is really good~ if you haven't already seen it.... check it out! The anime released here is good as well ^^)
How 'bout Loveless? I think Gohou Drug is yaoi too.
Much love for (hahaha XD; ) Loveless and Gohou/Legal Drug.
I know what you mean about ebay, there was someone selling 132 doujinshi, 132! but they were in america and onlt excpeted paypal, mind you it was an ebaook so they most porperly download them somewhere and i will find the sites!. But they did have lots of doujinshis on ebay about gundam wing but my mum doen't know i'm into yaoi and i think she'd freak really. At the moment i have to just read fanfictions. See i'm really against some pairings like FMA for insteads, who in the thinks that Ed and Al pairing is nice?, i can just barely like Roy and Huehes (sorry about spelling i've been writing fanfiction all day) No but seriously that is nasty, that's like Zechs and Treize and there old men for god sake!. Treize is like in his forties and Zech is in his late 30's i think¬.¬
Hahhaha, to each their own ^^; *owns stacks of RoyxEd doujinshi* (and it's spelled Hughes, just so you know) And guys like Zech and Treize and Roy and Hughes really aren't that old ^^; After all, not everyone likes shota *vomits* But, if that's what you're into.... ^^;;;;;;;;;; But, yeah, most people who sell doujinshi online either take money order or paypal (I personally hate money order , ARGH). So a paypal account is something you prolly wanna get if you wanna buy doujinshi online. (I'm luckier than most since my mom will tolerate yaoi XD and will let me use my card through her paypal account to order things~ Which is tons easier than setting up my own account O_o) Most of the doujinshi and manga I have I got through torrent files. There's also possible-soup.net (THey're so great T_T They've got IDEA doujinshi... I love IDEA so, so, so much~ *dies* I, unfortunately, couldn't tell you what else they have though ^^; ) but, like Oceanborn, I also think sakura-crisis.net is great~

That one looks like it might be by Mine Yoshizaki (but I'm not sure, since the CG style is a bit different from what I've seen....but most of the rest of it looks a lot like their work). Unfortunately, I have a book with their work in it T_T I don't know a website. If I find one, I'll link it. EDIT-- okay, I find Mine's site... http://mnet.nicomi.com/index2.html After a quick look through, the pic you asked about is probably not by Mine. But I know I've seen simular work ^^;; so I'll see if I can find it.
