Really ghetto wallpaper because I [b]hate[/b] Mega Tokyo ~_~ but the imaged reminded me of Lain so I thought I'd give it a go because I was bored, so there you have it (though this was pooped out in like 3 minutes) I can make adjustments if need be ^^;;;; Edit -- Also did two 100 x 100 icons (also ghetto-tastic... templates for them yoinked from lepetitemort on livejournal because I'm lazy) Edit2 -- I just read that you wanted your name on the icons... let me know if you want me to fix it. For some reason, I thought it wouldn't be released until closer to the end of the year? I believe the second episode comes out (in Japan) in August, so... *shrugs* Not sure I would say it's comparible to Berserk in gore level, but it's gotta be pretty close ^^; (I've only seen the first episode though, obviously... so it's hard to say for sure). Seras is finally portrayed like she should be though ^___^ which is all kinds of awesome. I can't get over Anderson constantly saying "Amen" in mangled english though XD;;; it amuses me. and I could've sworn there was already a Hellsing Ultimate thread? ^^;;

Nice job ^_^ The nose could use a bit more defining perhaps? And maybe a bit more dark areas around the shirt/skin near the shirt... but otherwise, pretty cool~ I'm too lazy to work like this XD;; bonus points to you~

When I was in highschool I had an art teacher who -never- gave anyone a perfect score because she said that you are always capable of doing better. When I look at other people's work, I dont' think "wow, that's bad" I tend to think "Hey, this has potential because...." Generally, actually getting a crit on this site is hard to come by ^^: either people tell you your stuff sucks or you get "OMG KAWAII !!1!" comments. It's a bit sad, really. My brother always tells me flat out my art is bad XD; even if it isn't *laughs* so I tend to just laugh at people if they flame my art. I mean, who cares? I didn't draw it for them, you know? (though, since you mentioned cosplay ^^; I tend to take comments on costumes more personally... not sure why. Last con I went to, my brother told me "I saw this really bad cosplayer in the dealers room... and then they turned around and it turned out to be you. You suck." I was depressed for like a month XD;;; even though several people at the con told me I was cute... I even got glomped *laughs*) People tend to think you should just crank out nice art too ^^; I mean, hey, this takes -effort-

The only reason you'd need to worry about height is if you had an Edward cosplayer to hang out with ^_~ But, like already said, most cosplayers don't pay attention to how tall the character actually is (though it's cool that you do XD I often do the same thing, but it's generally based on the group I cosplay with since I'm the shortest and thus need to play the shortest character). As long as you put a lot of work into your costume and it's recognizable, you should be totally fine ^_~

Tokyo Pop picked up the TB manga, which (in my opinion) both makes more sense and is generally better than the anime (I never finished the anime though ^^;; so I don't know if it actually gets better later on or not). And, while Abel is still a bit of a doof, he's not quite as goofy in the manga as in the anime ^^; (though he does no cross dressing in either one T_T like he did in the novel... which is a bit sad, in a way, because I found it amusing)

I'm really tempted to pick up (pick up meaning "borrow" from my place of work ^_~) The Legend of Jack Sparrow ^^; I'm sort of hoping it will fill in some holes in the story (sort of like Escape from Butcher Bay for Pitch Black/Chronicles of Riddick... even though I never played that one ^^;; so maybe that's not a good example...)

I personally think the ad looks really cool. People are just too quick to complain about things. I mean if it had been two black chicks (one wearing white) or two white chicks (with one in black), it wouldn't have been nearly as dramatic. I mean, the point is that white is newer and better so you should buy it. (I've actually got a white PS2 ^^; if I didn't think the PSP was so worthless, I'd totally buy a white one just so they'd match)

Was I the only one who went and saw POTC dressed as a pirate? T_T I am horribly obsessed with Davy Jones. Not sure if this is really a spoiler, but...[spoiler]Was I the only one who noticed that when the ship went under, his tentacles curled around the hat to hold it on? How cool is that? *heart, heart* The scene with him playing the organ with his tentacles was nice too... ^^; I just think they did a good job with the tentacles XD;;; it was rather convincing.[/spoiler] About the crew, I found it bothersome that many of them looked really cool, but it really looked like some just had human faces digitally pasted on them. [spoiler] I think it could have been done better. Boot strap and the one guy that was in the wall were particularly well done, as was some of the rest of the crew... but some of the others, the hammer head for example, looked cool as long as you really didn't see them straight on. It was a bit sad. But, Bootstrap's face? Totally loved it. Bootstrap was made of awesome Tia Dalma was totally hot (and she was in 28 Days Later~ the zombie fangirl in me squees)... and I was glad to see Pintel and Ragetti again because I totally love them. [/spoiler] [spoiler]But what was up with the undead monkey? Not that he wasn't great, but why is he still undead even though they've returned the gold? Though, while we're at it, why is Barbossa still alive? O_O not that I'm complaining. But definately worth it. I really like Davy Jones' theme (if you can call it that... the track is titled "Davy Jones")... the music box and Organ music work surprisingly well together~ The CD has actually been playing on my computer non-stop since I bought it ^^; I think my mother is sick of it *laughs*

This is really random, but has anyone thought of archiving all the drawings done here? I mean, at the very least, it could get tossed on a photobucket account or something since that's free? Randomly, since no one seemed to be sure, Prisma Color -does- make watercolor pencils also. Turns out I own some ^^; They were a gift, so I'd forgotten all about them~ they are actually pretty nice too =^-^= [quote name='damatte']regular printer paper can't handle watercolor pencils, right?[/quote] No. Regular paper will get wrinkled. I suggest either gettting watercolor paper (though it is often textured), cardstock, or bristol (sp?) board. These are all thicker so they shouldn't really wrinkle unless you totally soak them in water. The paper will probably still "bow" to a certain extent. You an fix this by ironing the paper... put a rag or a few paper towels on both sides of your paper (to protect the surface) and iron it like you would clothes, on a relatively low setting... it varies from iron to iron. I also suggest "ironing' the back side ^^; so if something should happen, you won't harm your drawing. [QUOTE=Delta] I use Faber Castell watercolor pencils. I personally don't like Prang brand color pencils, but they do make watercolor pencils ^^; though I've never used them. They don't seem to have a variety of colors though, and you can't really blend with watercolor pencils without it getting dirty... so for more colors, you'll probably have to mix with another brand.
