1. Ooc: No. And please try to roleplay others correctly. "Softspoken, kindly and gentle. He keeps to himself, but can be blunt when the need arises. A mysterious nature keeps himself safe from devulgeing too much to others." - My signup. He doesnt sound like a 14 year old at the mall. ^_- Lol. ---- Ken: Hmmm. There should be a-.. Aha. As the branches parted as they had been doing, he arrived at a massive tree, it alone being the 'king' of its domain. Sneezeing, Ken rubbed his nose erratically, murmering something about 'the lack of common sense' amongst the people he had met today- The Flower didnt smell of Chris. Chris smelt of something different than a human.. But then again, his sense of smell was a bit.... strong. Ken: Enough of that folley.. His fingers once again began to trace his beard, as he suddenly lept upwards high into the tree's branches, his speed suprising the tree itself as he sat himself down on one of the larger branches, his tail lazily hanging off the side of it, as he closed his eyes, folding his hands in his lap, silently listening to the thunder rant on about thunderstorm's place in society, and the feeling of being underappriciated. Slowly, Ken opened one eye and breathed in deeply, before letting out a monstorous sound- A sound that was oddly exactly like the sound of thunder. His voice echoed upwards into the sky, and within a few seconds another clap of thunder caused him to shake his head. Ken: ... He closed his eyes again, leaning back against the trunk of the tree, sighing softly to himself. He slowly drifted into sleep, a calmness flowing throughout the forest as he did, but even within his sleep he felt Shayleigh within the forest, and kept a watchful eye on her, as forest spirits should do to all who enter the forest- Protect the Good, Persecute the Evil.
2. Whisteling to himself, Asura made his way down a dirt path, glanceing down to the Lizard's village- He hadnt been here in a few months, but the Lizard's always had a good job for a mercenary- That is, if you are in good terms with them. Thankfully, he had become good friends with this Village's cheif, and Asura had even learned a bit of their language. All and all, he enjoyed their company, and he hoped they were still on good terms. It was a beautiful day, all in all, but something seemed a bit off- The forests seemed to be quieter than usual, almost cautious, especially as he neared Ilekea's village, causing him to raise his eyebrow several times over during the duration of his half-week walk. His gaze snapped to the gates to the village, two warriors standing at attention at either side of it. Sighing a sigh of relief and fatigue, he made haste in greeting the guards, their nodding heads reaffirming the friendship between him and the people that resided their. They seemed a bit tenser than last time.. causing him to wonder, to himself, is something was wrong. A few more words, a smile, a bow, and Asura walked into the village, slowing to a stop. He lifted the massive hammer off his shoulder, leaning on it against the ground as he felt the ebbing fatigue increase twofold instantly as the prospect of actually being able to sleep crossed his mind's thoughts. Awake for 5 days on end, it was understandable, yet he still felt he could go on for another 5 if he really had to. Trying not to drift to that subject, he heaved his hammer back onto his shoulder, walking slowly deeper into the village to see the cheiftan, hopeing to find himself a way to grab some more cash- Not that he was low on it- He merely had run out of good jobs to do in the past two weeks, and was intensely bored..
3. Chris looks cute in either her Knight uniform or her Travelling uniform ^^! *Beaten Suikoden 3 and wuffles Chris* === Within the forest, all was serene- Crickets chirping, Birds getting comfortable in their nests, A lone stray cat silently watching the Bird, waiting for the right moment to strike from his secret vantage point. Ken made his way through the trees, takeing his time to take in all that the trees were saying as he past by, the branches bending out of his way as he walked. All of the forest was indeed worried about the strange feeling of imminent doom that was growing within in them everyday- A little bit more each time they waked. Silently, he nodded in agreement, feeling the same way for the past half month or so as he travelled- Over great mountains, past rivers, and through misty forests he had travelled.. But he enjoyed his journey, for it had allowed him to finish another chapter in his Book of Stories. A crash of thunder snapped his wandering mind back into reality, and he turned his head twards the dark clouds that were building in the distance- Lightning rolling throughout them in a furious manner. The storm slowly grew larger as it got nearer, and he turned to go back to his leisurely walk- But was stopped by the sight of a beautiful ruby-red flower right infront of him. He reached out and caressed the flower, smileing to himself satisfyingly. He sniffed the flower a few times, before tilting his head to the side and stepping back, glanceing around. Sniffing a few more times again, he smelled a strange sent- And realized it was tainted a bit with Chris' scent. Smiling to himself, he casually turned back to the flower, leaning up to sniff it again. Ken: I knew that her scent wasnt completely human...
4. Ken silently pondered for a moment, his eyes tearing into the Wraith's with his stare. He turned, walking through the streets of people, as the nighttime slowly came closer- A vibrant sunset of orange and yellow blossoming forth as the daylight slowly yielded to the darkness. He stopped suddenly, and pointed up the masterstairs that lead into the castle, nodding to the wraith. The wraith snorted to the sprite, nodding a hesitant thank you, and ascended the stairscase, disappearing through the gate. Slowly turning, Ken sneezed, and shook his head, heading for the forest that resided outside the gates for a little relaxation.
5.
Originally posted by Rain EDIT: Hey, lookit that. The big 2-5-0 - Rain is no longer a n00b, heh
Rain= Unknown person to Ken Rain= 'n00b' to Ken :P --- Honestly, I joke around alot with all of my friends. [Flash, Bryan, Juu and Piro in this thread alone would know] With my female friends I flirt as well, but if I can tell she is getting uncomfortable with it, of course I tone it down a bit. I just try to keep everything comedic around me if I can, because someone has to do it. ^^ Flirting to me can either be a way of close friends to just be close friends, or one of the ways to try to tell someone; subtlely or no, if you like them. ^^
6. No biggy. I mean, you have a right to who you are. If people cant accept that, then you are wasting your time on them. ^^
7. Ken solemnly shook his head and raised one of his fingers, pointing outside, where the daylight was slowly fadeing, his eyes shimmering for a moment. Shayleigh understood instantly what he was going to say, as she was feeling the same feelings- The calling of the outdoors. Ken: That.. is where my chambers will be tonight. Slowly, he leaned in foreward, closer to Chris, and stared deep into her eyes, an odd silence falling. His eyebrow arched a bit, a smirk appearing on his face- Almost as if he was playing with her. Ken: Not as stuffy, you understand. Winking, he turned, beginning to walk out of the room. He reached to his side, grasping a small bag that shifted a bit as he grabbed it. In Shayleigh's mind, she heard his voice echo a message- 'Just whistle an elvish tune if anyone needs me, Milady Elve.' Walking through the streets, Ken silently glanced about, observing the various scenes around him. He saw a large building that seemed to be the hub of all the activity on the street. Glanceing at the sign- Boar's Head Inn- he nodded and headed inside, removing the bag from his side. He got some odd glances from a few people, as he hovered up and sat on a bar stool. Bartender: Whats your pleasure? Ken: Red Rose Ale. Bartender: Coming up- It'll be 19 gold for that, sir. Opening the bag, Ken reached in and pulled out a seed- One of at least 200 hundred in the bag. He tossed it on the counter, and the seed began to tremble- Sprouting into a plant right on the counter. 19 seperate pieces of gold grew from its branches, dropping onto the counter in order- Each a second apart. A large red flower bloomed, and wilted just as quickly, as the plant died- The whole process takeing around half a minute. The Bartender silently handed him the drink, missing the whole 'money plant' bit, and collected the gold, nodding a 'thank you' to Ken. Raiseing the glass, he tilted it a bit, side to side, causeing the liquid within to swirl- before takeing a long, satisfying sip of the sweet wine. He smiled to himself as he set the glass down, exhaleing a sigh of approval. Tapping his fingers on the bar, he went back into thought, takeing sips of his drink every few moments to 'aid' him. He glanced up to the bartender, who was cleaning a glass as a lull fell in business. Ken raised one finger and tilted his head slightly as he spoke. Ken: Tell me. Do you know any stories? Bartender: I'd say so. Comes with the business. Ken: You could say i'm a collector of stories- Tell me the most fantastic one that you have. As the bartender shrugged and began, Ken reached within his garments and pulled out a small book, writing as he talked in a strange language. The story itself took maybe 5 minutes or so, before the bartender finished and went back to his work- A small squad of troops celebrating for some reason. Ken closed his book, slipping it back into his inner pocket, and hopped off the barstool, slipping out of the bar and melding in with the citygoers.
8. I was born in 1988 and i've seen this movie 8 times. I love this movie. :D Anyone who hasnt seen it, must see it now. ^_^
9. The Forest Spirit chuckled, and fell back into silence, his long, slender fingers traceing his beard slowly. He felt a presence of evil growing stronger every second they waited, and he did not like it. Slowly, he turned, walking away down a lonely, quiet hallway- Torches lined the sides, flickering upwards in a dance that averted his attention for a second, before finally, he stopped and let out a low "hmmm" of thought. His footsteps echoed, as the sound of voices that were coming from the group of would be heroes dwindled the further he walked, a mysterious calm flowing around his body, the torches growing peaceful for a moment before his passing. Finally, he passed a large arched window that was paned with stain glass- A scene of a knight slaying some evil foe etched into the glass. Finally, he came to a large room filled with books- A library. His eyes drifted from shelf to shelf, before finally he pulled out a large dusty book that looked as old as Ken himself. With a short exhaleing of air, the dust from the cover flew off, revealing the title- The History of the World- Part XXIVI~ By Josephus. Quietly, he opened the cover of the book and scanned the index, his finger traceing along page carefully. He was looking for some hint as to how the former heros had defeated this Evil- Surely no sword should be able to stop a world threatening 'cult' that is merely named 'Evil'. His eyes seemed to be searching beyond the page, to find what he was looking for. A few moments later, he shut the book with a loud 'fwap', placeing it carefully back into its place. He silently walked out of the Library, the door shutting behind him automatically it seemed, a gust of air from the heavy door travelling down the hallway, causing the torches to convulse in a sudden reaction to it. His garments flowing behind him, Ken made his way back to the humanoids, humming a low tune of the Dryads that inhabited his forest. Walking back out into the main hall where everyone was, a guard approached him and saulted. Ken nodded, and listened to what the guard was going to say. Guard: Do you need help finding something, Sir? Ken: No, Child. I merely went into the library to search for something. Guard: ... Library? Sir, the Library is located outside, in a seperate building. Ken: I know. I never said I went to your library, now did I? An impish grin shattered the Guard's already frayed nerves, causing the Guard to nod quickly and salut, pratically jogging off afterwards. The smile never fadeing from his face, he reappraoched the group, silently reinserting himself into it, as if he never left.
10. Name: Cannine Jah Orrin [Translation- Crimson Everlasting River] Nicknames: Ken, Fluffy. Age: 28 Race: Human/Sayian/Unknown Height: 6'8 Description: Personality: Despite his evil looks, Ken is a more easy-going, comedic type of fellow. He has his fair share of arrogance, animosity, and depression, but he balances it with ironic humor that matches the situation he is in. His mood swings from happy, to quiet, to mad, to pyschopathically suicidal. History: His father is the leader of a large Anarchist movement that represents some of the general unrest that is beginning to brew across the world. From childbirth, he has strived to teach himself how to fight- So he could defend himself, his sister, his father. With no teacher, no one to watch him, his training caused him to get injured often, causing the scars strone across his body- before finally his father made him stop- But not before the thrist for battle had reawoken in his blood. Years passed, and the burning flame continued to burn. Finally, he decided to be trained more professionally, he went to the Sanctum, away from the polotics of his Father, to follow what his blood was telling him to do. Grabbing the sword that had been mere decoration for so many years in his house, sharpening it, he grabbed a small pack of items and departed. Strength-30 Defense- 18 Speed- 22 Ki- 30 Dorm- C [with Asuri]
11. Silently, Ken made his way through the street, the hustle and bustle within the Castle's gates surronding him. He got many odd glances, some smiles- some people shunned him. The usual reactions people give to such a mythical creature, especially a creature that usually does not stray out of his forest. Slowly, he made his way, almost lazily, twards the castle. The chains that had been hanging around his arm for years drug along the ground, creating an odd noise as they rubbed across the stones in the road. Glanceing up suddenly, he looked to the Inner Castle- His destination. Silently, he ascended the stairs that lead up to the main gate to the inner castle, his tail dragging along behind him. Walking through the massive gates, he walked foreward twards a group of humanoids, levitating upwards to be face to face with the one the Wind called 'Chris'. The group was somewhat startled to see a Forest Spirit, except for the Elvish Girl. Silently, Ken descended again, bowing gracefully to Chris. Ken: ... My name is 'Ken'. I have travelled from The Forest of Ancient Lagandria, and have come here to help you weave your own fates. Your quest.. Your perilous quest. If you fail.. the Forests will be damaged, the beauty of this world will be tainted. Yes. I, as a Spirit of the Forest will assist you. Ken's eyes glanced upwards, and he smiled gently as a father would to a dear daughter. A strange energy surronded him, as he stepped back, and silently bowed to the Shayleigh, stepping backwards to stand against the wall.
12. Name: Tsartoh Dilini Morktradinos, but generally just goes by the name Ken. Race: Forest Spirit Weapon: A small magical axe. Bio: As a forest grows in size and age, the natural energy flowing through the inhabitants grows with it. If the forest grows old enough, and is filled with enough vibrant life, a forest spirit is born to protect the forest. Tsartoh was born 3456 years ago, within one of the most mystical forests that exists today. Within his forest, lays magical creatures, treasures of greatness, and natural beauty that isnt rivaled anywhere else, which draws too much attention sometimes when evil's eye drifts around the world. With the rearrival of that eye, Tsartoh has decided to take his magical abilities and use them to defend not only his forest, but the forests of the world from the certain evil that plagued the world once and destroyed half his forest once. With the grace of a nobleman, the wisdom of a wizard, and with mystery surronding him like a cloud, Tsartoh is one of the most interesting creatures you will ever meet. Description: Softspoken, kindly and gentle. He keeps to himself, but can be blunt when the need arises. A mysterious nature keeps himself safe from devulgeing too much to others. Appearence: A short stature, perhaps 4 feet or so tall, and dresses in a strange form of attire. Broken chains dangle from his arms from an attempt to capture this fabled creature long ago. 15. Happens to me all the time. As you can tell from some of my posts, I'm pretty silly sometimes, so sometimes I act as silly as the kids themselves. Works like a charm to get them to smile. ^^
16. Books are vastly better than television in my opinon. My imagination is vast, sometimes too vast, and it explodes whenever i'm reading a book. Television shows you WHAT is happening, like it is set in stone most of the time. Books, you can let yourself wander, absorbing the words and transforming the adventure into reality. Its alot more fun than letting someone else transform a story into a reality- IE TV.
17. Neil [Medra]: *roasts newbies quietly, adding BBQ sauce to marinate* Personally, newbies seem overly senesitive sometimes. I do agree that some people are harsher to members simply because they are new, but everyone here gets corrected every few weeks for slipping on something, purposely or no. Newbies seem to jump back and whine when they get corrected, as if they deserve some sort of Royal treatment. New people are alright in my book, as long as they arent too annoying. But we all get on each others nerves- Oldbie or Newbie, and it seems that some people find release going off on the mistakes of the newer people.
18. Isnt Ken such a lovely name? ^_- I'd like to name my daughter Nicole Jennifer Howell- Nicole meaning people's victory; Jennifer meaning white spirit. Or I would name her Tori Ann Howell- Tori meaning bird, Ann meaning Gracious. Also it has a sort of flow when you say it- To me, anyway. If I had a son, i'd probably name him after myself. Heh.
19. Ken: Ugh. F*ck it. Come on in dude.. Ken rubbed his eyes sleepily and walked back into his house, Neil following and shutting the door. Ken glanced back and tilted his to the side, his messy hair shifting. Ken: So.. What do you want to do? Neil: Get drunk and sacrifice your sister to the God of Good Food. Ken: ....... Ken jogged halfway up the stairs and glanced down, giving his friend a "for real" look before he continued to jog up the stairs, Neil following him after tossing his shoes next to the wall, a murmered 'Hi Neil' coming from Ken's sister's room. Neil jogged up the stairs and poked his head into Ken's room, noting the lack of cleanilness present. Ken silently murmered curses as he layed on his bed, Neil walking over to Ken's computer and popping Red Alert 2 into it. Ken: Gonna fight Yuri again? Neil: Shut up. All I need is the money, and I can blitz that f*cker with Apoc tanks. Ken: Just dont turn the sound up real loud ag- Conscript on Red Alert 2: COMRADE?! Ken: That's not cool. oO;;
20. Hmm. I've been at other message boards that were simliar to OtakuBoards community wise, IE you were accepted easily; everyone was friendly; good staff/posts, but they were not as large as OB was. I'd have to say that OB is one of the best Message Boards i've been to..

22. OOC: In case you forgot.. Name: Ken Howell Age: 14 [Born August 10th, 1988.] Grade: Junior Biography: Born in Texas, somehow ended up in this town. Doesnt speak much of his past, only snippits that he spurts out in his poetry seem to tell all that is hidden behind the curtain. Has skipped one grade, and is somehow in all the availible honors courses, however he remains humble and denies being more than averagely intelligent. Isnt really 'popular', but is somehow known by everyone from his quirky antics, and sometimes quiet fits of anger and depression. Also known for self mutalation, but hides his true feelings to all but the closest friends. 2 years ago, before he moved here, 3 of his closest friends commited suicide, causing him to be a silent, cold person when he doesnt take his Anti-Depressents. [Sad thing is, thats IRL too.] He is a severe hard rock, punk rock, heavy metal addict, loving mainstream and underground bands [*strums along to Soulfly as he writes this*]. Loves Anime and Video Games as well. Description: Comedic, Dark, Improviser- Ken is your classic case of a sitcom come true. He has his dark moments, many funny moments, and opinons which could cause Jesus to tilt his head to the side in puzzlement. A class case of a Comedian tainted with Gothic personality tendenacies. Appearence: 6'2, 270 pounds. Messy black hair droops down into his eyes, hiding their brown color to most. Dresses casually, usually just wearing a Tshirt, Jeans, and dirty sneakers. ==== After getting off of the bus, head lost in his usual music that streamed from his portable CD player, Ken passed a girl checking her mail [Avalon], and continued on to his new house, where he lived with his older sister. Opening the door, he walked in and tossed his backpack down to the floor, jogging up the stairs into his room, where he slammed down onto his bed in total fatigue. He had pulled an all nighter the night before to play BattleField 1942 online, and it finally was catching up to him. Flicking his CD player off, he set it on the nightstand next to his bed, and silently drifted off into a nap, dreaming dreams of home and his parents..

24. Suikoden 3 was such a great game for me, and is much better than FFX. It had the graphics, the gameplay, the story, the battle system, and is one one of the best games period on the system. For me, it is the best game to come out yet.
25. If need be, I could have a second character that was a passenger, unless more people sign up as them. Heh.
