Anime is Japanese animation. So what sense does it make to say"Oh that anime was made in america so it doesn't count." Imagine Hayao Miyazaki saying "Oh no I did the voice overs for my current opus in america now it's not anime!". Really as long as the anime has that it is animated in the Japanese style and has that good old japanese charm then it's anime.

I read the first page of this book in a cafe in an airport. I really like the author and some of the things she said so far(on the first page at least) were quite profound. So has anyone read all or most of this book yet? Also do you recommend I buy it to see the rest? Also I don't know if this is the right forum for this but there is no book forum and I wasn't about to post it in the manga section so if this wrong I am very sorry.

Well on topic I (being a bush fan personally) do agree that this is somewhat a distraction to the things that are happening in the war. But really whats wrong with a distraction from war? I thin being gay is nasty. I know you are not born that way as I have a gay freind.(we were freinds befoe he became gay at least to the best of my knowlege). He said it happened slowly over time and at one point he actually did like girl's. So the way I see it is that there are two kinds of gay people. A.The kind that turned gay over time for different reasons (prison,friends ect...) B.The kind that has a mental defect in their mind that tells the mthey like the same sex that is treatable by medication or therapy. Why do I think it is not possibl that you are born this way and cannot change? Simply beacuse of the fact that you can change. Many gay's that were "born that way" have gone strait for one reason or another. So it is not an irriversable defect. So to the point why shouldn't they have gay marriage? Well I have a few but two might technically be considered harem anime. [B]Saber Marionette J[/B]-This anime looked really stupid when I saw it at the store. But it was on sale so I bought it anyway. I had no xpectations what so ever. WOW what a difference 3 days make. After the series was over I was in shock of how my expection were blown to peices. The story was not just some lets go watch the main character look akward plot. There was action sorrow and raw emotion. Also in the end when the [spoiler] Girls show up as a baby was one of the top five happiest moments of my life.[/spoiler] [B]Mohoromatic: Maiden[/B]-Yes another "harem" anime. If you see the whole series you will know that is not all it is.[spoiler] In the end when the main character was on a different planet killing those guys I was stunned.[/spoiler] That seriously blew my mind that was the biggest twist I have seen in any show. [B]Kare Kano[/B]- This is the first anime where I actually related to the characters and underdstood(somewhat) how they felt. For example [spoiler]when that boy's mother was going to marry that rich guy[/spoiler] he reacted almot exactly as I would in that situation. Also it show true love at it's purest. This is why it is my favorite of all time(this week :D )

[B]Best of Nirvana[/B]- I like this CD. It reminds me of happy times with my dad back in the 90's. Kirt had a great voice and its sad that he died. I love heart shaped box and lithum. Lithium has the best quote ever in it "Im so ugly it's ok cuz so are you." [B]Public Enemy It takes a nation of millions to hold us back[/B]-I bought this only beacuse I wanted to finish my gagsta rap trio(Cypress Hill,N.W.A,Public Enemy). This CD reminds me why flva flav has money. Back in the day he realyl was a good rapper. [B]Soundgarden-Superunknwn[/B]- Awesome mix of music. I never heard a song like black hole sun before and I love it. It has a mix of depression mixed with a passive rage. [B]Slayer-reign in blood[/B]-Not as good as south of heaven,but it has it's moments. [B]The Best of the doors[/B]-... One of the best soft rock albums ever. I loved Alabama song. I swear im humming it to myself right now. It's got that rolling sound and a little keyboard for good measure. I love this album. That's it so far.

I like it here....sometimes. Sometimes topics move rather..slow but besides that I have no major quips. The only reason other site's aren't as full of discussion as here is beacause they don't have as many moderators. Im pretty sure if the otaku boards didn't have as many mod's it wouldn't be the great site it is.

I HATE sceaming metal. HATE it! In my school not alot of people listen to metal and don't know anything about the different types. So when one kid goes and watches headbangers ball for about 3 minutes and hears some screamer band he goes and tells the whole school about how these goth weirdo's scream on tv. The same day they see my leather metallica jacket and they see the word metal on it. NOW IM A GOTH!!!!! Also it's not art going like this AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH. It's just annoying. So no this screamo whatever the hell is not art. It's screaming. Thats why I hate all these new "metal" bands(save av7x they rule :catgirl: ). They should take all their emo craptitude and go join an r&b band where crying like a girl makes sense.

I just finished Saber marionette j-again-j-x. I found this to be one of the greatest series I have ever seen. It's got alot of action . Especially near the end. They got a great deal on it on a site called roberts anime corner store. all 16 dvd's for about 140$. So I suggest you buy that.

I got the special edition thing for this and just finished watching the rest of it yesterday. I thought as a whole it was good. The only issues I had with it was that they constantly changed the voice actors. I kept wondering"so what will lime sound like this time?" "Wow middle aged canadian woman suprising!". My favorite character was marine. Im really upset that[spoiler]they never ifxed her even though they said they would[/spoiler]. I really think they should make a new seaso of this anime. Matbe if I buy a couple hundred more of those special edition things it will get bandai's *** in gear. I mean it hurry up and get started on a new one. NOW! :mad:

Im gonna get one. Sooner or later. If only beacuse it looks better. I imagine it will be similar to what the sp did to the game boy advance. So I have high hopes for it.

If any genre of music is simplified liek that it HAS to die. Rap(mainstream) is doing basically the same thing. Fast club song+gangta song+soft song=$$$. So this genre needs to die.
