1. Awright, I finally got to play DDR on a machine. Unfortunately, it didn't have TwinBee, which is one of my favorites. I did play Afronova and Daikenkai, and I didn't fail either (as I did at Q-Zar last time I went). A lady there stared in awe as I finished Daikenkai, too, and I smiled at her. Then my mood became sour as the drink machine took my last dollar and I was extremely thirsty. x_x;; oh well. I'm really eager to play Extreme 2, now.
2.
What creature walks first on four legs, then two,and finally three?
Heck yes, one I actually know! The answer is:
a man, through the course of his life. As a baby, he crawls on four legs, then walks on two, and finally uses a walking stick as he gets too old to support himself (three legs).
Unfortunately, I don't really know any riddles, so I can't post any hard ones. But: What gets wetter and wetter the more it dries?
3. 1. If your avatar has a character, what race, age (if applicable) and gender is it? There was actually a woman playing the cello before I cropped it, and she's white and almost forty. (Seriously doesn't look it, though). 2. Would you say your avatar is masculine, feminine or both? Why? I'd say pretty feminine (I think she was wearing Victorian women's underwear) 3. Does it have mature or childish attributes? Mature, from the songs she's written and interviews I've read. 4. What gender and race are you? White female. 5. When you meet someone online, unless they specify, do you feel you naturally think of them as white? Yeah, unless they might type as if a person of another race might speak in real life. 6. Do you roleplay? If yes, identify your roleplaying character in terms of race, history, gender and sexual preference. I think there might've been more males than females, but all of them were straight and white. 7. Have you ever been mistaken for another race or gender or have been asked due to the lack of detail in your profile? I don't think so. 8. Have you mistaken others for being of another race, age or gender? How many times? Maybe, but I can't remember any time that I might've done so right now. 9. What does your online nickname mean or how did you come up with it? I suppose it's Melli, which is derived from "Mellifluous" (my first name in an RP chatroom, and people shortened it). I guess it could also be taken from "Amelia." 10. Do you think people online tend to correctly guess your age, race or gender most of the time without being told? No, they don't. 11. Do you think people tend to correctly guess your sexual preference without being told? I guess so. 12. Would you feel threatened if people online knew your age, gender, race or sexual preference? If so, why? Nah, I'd rather them know that than just assume (and probably assume wrong) or know all the truly important information, like where I live or what my phone number is.
4. This thing could be quite addictive...! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/ShikyoKasu/themoonhatesus.jpg This picture was taken by my sister... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/ShikyoKasu/motivatechipper.jpg
5. Phew, schools full of pubescent teenagers are rank. Those who don't wear deodorant, or sweat easily or profusely, and especially those who don't see any necessity in showering (unfortunately, those are all the cool nerdy kids). They're all over the place. My school is packed with people, and it takes a while to get across the hallway. While in the midst of all the other bodies, some pretty bad smells mix and float around. It's terrible. On occasion, you hear of people skipping class to smoke pot in the bathrooms, too, and my school is supposedly a very good one. x_x;; I've never smelled it, though, cause I'm all ready afraid of the bathrooms. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the main hallway one day, though, which was rather confusing. However, the worst thing I've ever smelled is probably one of my best friends. I've had to sit next to him on the bus home from school last year, and his odor ricocheted across the tight aisle and small spaces and came back to me. x_x;; my mom keeps telling me that she's not going to let him in the house if he keeps smelling like that. I don't know how else to describe it other than bad body odor, but he insists that he showers and makes up tons of excuses, or denies it altogether. X_X;; sigh.
6. Oogh. That one's hard. Rape would be horrifying, and I'm definitely not ready for pregnancy. x_x;; and I wouldn't even think about abortion. But being dead could be worse, cause I'd never get to live my dreams. Errgh, darn you, Raph! I guess dead. x_x;; I wouldn't want to live with the memory of the other choice. Let's see...um... Would you rather be a pokemon trainer or a super saiyan? : D (pokemonpokemonpokemon!)
7.
When I was very young and had shorter hair, I was often mistaken for being a little boy. ^_^;
Gaspz, me too. It was terrible for self-esteem. It didn't help that I wore boy clothes, either. x_X;; dagnabbit! I would go in the bathroom at school and people would be all, "there's a boy in here with pokemon shoes!" ...me: "no, it's just me." "oh."
8. I sort of gave myself a temporary tattoo out of boredom. My left knuckles say VIVA (one letter on each finger), and every now and then I'll put "LA REVOLUTION" in a patterned sort of way there. I really need to shower, though, so my little "tattoo" is going to get washed away. =' (
9. Randomly, I'm currently obsessed with "Viva La Revolution" by the Adicts. I bet it was because I spent several hours with my punkish friends and now I'm cuh-razier.
10. I don't think I'll ever get a tattoo, but I do have an idea or two for some kind of dream in which I actually got one. I'm not interested in having a permanent mark on my body for the rest of my life, nor would I look forward to the *pain*. But a lot of rock band members have tattoos. I wouldn't do it to fit in with the rest, though. (I wouldn't do it at all). If for some strange cosmic reason, I decided to get one, it would be the Pandora in a Box logo (minus the doodles of the mascots and band members). I don't know where, though. Just the PiaB logo. Nifty, nifty. I don't really have any favorite tattoos on other people. The members of AFI look good in tattoos. My English teacher has one of a half sun half moon on her leg. =)

12. The OtakuBoards Nifty-Fifty 2006 GraphicsI?ll second that the way the results were presented is down right gorgeous. I look at the detail that went into them like the Avatar Submission Thread one and it?s just a total Wow! We need a Nifty Fifty One just for those graphics. ^_~ I know what I?ll be nominating for the next time.-SunfallE =D; I couldn't resist.
13. Congraturations, e'erone! I was wondering when this thing would finally come up, and I was figuring the staff were going crazy with the layout. I'm either clairvoyant, or you're just predictable (what else is there, neh?) Nah, I'm sure it's neither. But anyway, nominating sure was a ruuush. I can't wait to nominate again next year. Yay, nominating! Jaykay, jaykay. xP;; the layout IS amazing, though, excellent job. There should be a Nifty-Fifty One: the Nifty Fifty 2006 graphics. Then I suppose there will also be a Nifty-Fifty Two: having a Nifty Fifty-One. =) Non?
14. I'd much rather go on a date with a stupid person, because at least that leaves you with some higher self-esteem than before. Hm... -Working at a raw sewage plant or -Working at Death Row (executing the condemned, that is)
15. Woah. I miss the day I started this thread. Ah...July 2, 2005...such a beautiful day. One of the best days of my life. T_T;; Okay, pushing the nostalgia aside, I have some new ones. Bah! Wicked: The Musical soundtrack Trans-Siberian Orchestra - The Lost Christmas Eve Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Beethoven's Last Night Flyleaf - Flyleaf
16. I got my signature at McSignalds - they love to see you smile! Well, actually, they don't anymore. Now they're just lovin' it. Loving what, I wonder? Just kidding. I came up with my signature from two things: The Crucible, and one of my best friends. One of my favorite parts of The Crucible is when Abigail is talking to Mercy Lewis... Abigail: "He saw you naked!" Mercy: "Oh, Jesus. (giggle)" And one of my best friends started shouting "tax it like the British" for no reason. I thought it was lurvely.
17. Hhola, it's me again. Of course. I'm still at it, and hopefully I'll be stronger with my lyrics and whatnot. =) I have a few things here, so enjoy (as if =) De(sui)cide I'm not one for accusations But this life you've thrown away is Not the life He meant for you to Destroy and to want one brand new I'm not one for revelations But that dream you've thrown away will never come back or be reborn What did you go live like that for? Twenty-two minutes ruining lives Twenty-two minutes Someone dies I'm not one for accusations But your bottle shatters in an impact breaking stealing, taking so much ruined by your mistaking I'm not one for revelations But you've seen the light at the end Just keep praying bleeding, crying all the time that you are dying Twenty-two minutes flying by Twenty-two minutes careless life Twenty-two minutes ruining lives Twenty-two minutes someone dies I'm not one for revelations But that dream you've thrown away will never come back or be reborn What did you go live like that for? You won't restart or be reborn What did you go live like that for? --- The lyrics, read as written, don't make much sense rhythmically, I know, but that's because there's a specific melody they are sung in. That helps, it really does. Okay, I lied, I have one new one. =( But I'm supposed to be attending a "poetry jam" thing at school soon, so maybe I'll be inspired to write something meaningful, neh? Oh boy.
18. Yay, musicals! Dagger, I am so excited to have found another fan of Into the Woods. It was my birth into the world of acting, and remains one of my favorite musicals of all time. I first saw it when I was in seventh grade, and now I could recite...maybe the whole first act from memory. : D; I played Cinderella's stepmother in a production with my middle school last summer, though I really REALLY wanted to be Cinderella. Ah well, it was the best thing I had ever done (expensive, though). Wicked is another of my all-time favorites. It was the first broadway show I saw live, back in February, and I can't wait till it comes back. I ADORE the music, and Wizard of Oz has always been a favorite of mine. One of my dreams is to be either Elphaba or Glinda in a production someday. Finally, I like Annie a lot. At least the version with Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters, Aileen Quinn, and Albert Finney. My old middle school is putting this show on this summer, and I'm hoping to be Miss Hannigan. I adore that roll. =D I really want to be on Broadway when I graduate college. I also liked Rent (the movie), Phantom of the Opera (the movie), and The Newsies. Whooee.
19. Eek, I'd rather be afraid of boys, because at least I could get over the phobia. I'd hate to have everyone afraid of me. :' ( Hm... Trapped in a glass box in a busy street in New York or Trapped atop a condemned radio tower in freezing weather Haha, I got the radio tower thing from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Meloves that show. Edit: (Sorry, Raphael, your post wasn't there when I posted mine)
20. POKEMON, duuuh! Pokemon is one of the best games EVER. Hm...would you rather: Spend a day in a pool full of gross, sticky garbage -or- Balance atop a fence (with only a half inch balancing space) for five hours This is peculiar.
21. : D I'm in drama, and we just finished with Greek theatre and everything that came after it during Winter (thank God, it's somewhat interesting but overall rather boring). Even though I didn't really have time to actually read the whole thing (I skipped just a few lines) but what I could read was amazing. It's probably just that everyone who has commented has seen what spawned this extremely well-written play, but as most, I would adore to perform in something such as this. I just don't think my high school would do it--high schools aren't always the most cultured people. :'( at least there are a few who are. Bravo, Charles, Bravo. Hurry up with those next two acts! (I was reading it as a musical, too. xD)
22. I think I shall do it again. I'm not going to use my Launch radio anymore, because there are probably more songs that I haven't heard or don't want to talk about that will come on there. Back to good ole' iTunes. 1. Trans-Siberian Orchestra - "Christmas Jazz" I love TSO - they're probably my second favorite band - but this isn't really my favorite song. It's a bit slow. 2. Bernadette Peters; "Stay With Me" Into the Woods is in a close tie with Wicked for my favorite Broadway musical, but ItW holds more nostalgia and happy memories than Wicked does. I have both the original Broadway soundtrack and original Broadway DVD, plus a libretto/vocal score from when I performed in the junior version last summer.

Placebo!

I consider Placebo to be in my top five favorite bands (though at place number five), simply because of the only album I've heard by them: Sleeping With Ghosts. My friend burned it for me, and I really enjoyed it. I'd say my favorite song might be the title track, but I also love Plasticine, English Summer Rain, Second Sight, and The Bitter End. Brian Molko's voice could be seen as obnoxiously nasally, but not to me; it really fits the music.
24.
Apparently this "fad" of being Emo is going around everywhere and its getting annoying.
That's been around for a while. Maybe it's just you finding it.
Apparently Emo stands for "Emotional" or something like that and all they listen to is bands that sing about "Not getting a girlfriend, cutting themselves, or locking themselves in their rooms and crying".
Correct, it supposedly stands for emotional. When I think of emotional, I think of depression. Maybe it's just me?
They dress in mostly black but say their not gothic
Black is inequal to Gothic. DUH. Black is more equal to mallcore, which is basically half emo, and half...something that doesn't even exist. But they're the people who probably live in Hot Topic and wear all the clothes, and call themselves Gothic, even though they don't know the true meaning of it. They also hate the world.
they wear girl pants but say their not gay
Maybe they just prefer girl pants to boy pants? What's wrong with that? It's just pants.
and they wear pink and make-up.
Haven't you heard? Pink is the color of a true man. =) besides, lots of people wear makeup. It's just a very fashionable thing to do. Just so everyone knows, I'm a true emokid! I may not dress the part, and I may not listen to many TRUELY emo bands (such as NOT Fall Out Boy, NOT My Chemical Romance, NOT The Used, etc.), but seriously. The only extremes of any emotions that I feel are anger and sorrow. Sometimes I'll cry for no reason. People who claim every emo person cuts themselves and cry too much are probably just trying to make it something that it's not. Besides, there's a big difference between emo and scene, and it sounds to me like you described a scenester. In the end, people can label themselves what ever they want to be labeled. It's what makes them who they are. Just accept people.
25. Well, you know, my free speech thread is still open, this could've just as easily been discussed there. Regardless, these are my feelings: If the government reduced our rights to this "limited speech," that would offend everyone else who was doing all the offending to begin with! There's no way to escape it, and the best way to handle it is by letting people say whatever they want to say. Without free speech, there would be NO music, no TV (nor anime or manga), no books, no fun classes at school, no self-expression, nothing that makes this country worthwhile (at least to a teenager like me). As I've said a bunch before, there are other countries (which I'm sure you can't go to, because of a parental situation or something).
