  1. Being in a samurai mood due to my Kenshin fascination made me rent the game and I love it. There's a ton of samurai swords w/ lots of moves to learn, multiple endings, all that junk. Only thing that sux is jumping around seems a bit awkward, usually a samurai can get over things higher than 2ft >=\. Also I was kinda pissed at the lack of creativity in making ur samurai, I mean u start w/....3 heads and 4 costumes or so, would it have been that hard to throw in a color editor? Either way the fighting system is top notch, a hundred times better than Tenchu's, and Way of the Samurai is done by some no-name weirdo company..BAM! I think, something weird like that, but in the end it gives off a very samurai-ish feel, if only there was more to do w/ yen.
  2. I thought X was a pretty good movie, but I hated how Fuma just....became evil for no reason. Just because that bozo sister of....the...whatever the other dreamwatcher, told him that he was Kamui's counterpart and he had to destroy mankind he was confused at first, and then just said "okelly dokelly" and that was that, wtf is wrong with him? grrrrr. The battles between the dragons of heaven and earth were good too, but it seems the heaven dragons got the crap beat out of them, and if the earth dragons die who cares, every time one of them die there goes another power barrier, u think they'd think a bit more before going into battle.
  3. Spoiler Alert further down. I personally couldn't stand Raiden. Why would anyone send in someone so wimpy ANYwhere? He's so clueless, he sees a guard and it's "Colonel, there's a guard there, what do I do?!" And then if he sees one patrolling or....sleeping it's time to call the colonel again. Also I don't see how if Solidus was made from the strongest parts that Snake was made from, and how Solidus beat the crap out of anything, how a bozo like Raiden could best him, and in swordfighting too! Ugh not to mention the whole last half hour of the game's story with the "beings that came into existence" and crap, was pretty stupid. Before that tho the game was awesome, if only the story was better. Seems like the largest chunk of the game was diffusing the stupid pointless bombs. >=\
  4. FF8 was easy enough even w/o auras. All you had to do was be in bozo critical, a lot of the time I ended up killing myself so I could revive and use a limit break. On a halfway different subject, does anyone know how much HP jumbo cactuar has when u're around lv 90, cause I remember fighting him and it took a bajillion renzokukens and duels, I dunno it seemed to me like I did a few hundred thousand, but I have no clue, just took forever >
  5. Has anyone seen the anime Earthian? My friend bought a dvd that had 4...or 5 eps I forget, and he doesn't know if that's it or if it's a series or what. Anyway I wanted to ask if it was any good, we were both pretty tired when we watched it and I kept falling asleep in the first episode, they're long too, freaking 45 min. I was pretty awake for some of the last parts tho, w/ that freaky robotic-angel guy, seemed like it got better. Just wanted to know if anyone who stayed awake liked it.
  6. The movie confused me a bit as well, like how mr. me-mania was driving the truck and it looked like it would hit her, and then she just woke up. Or how the news reported the same thing 2 days in a row, about a new....japanese whatever that would indicate a standard of living and blahblahblah. But overall I loved the movie, was a great psycho-thriller, naturally I forced my friends to watch it, hehe. Was driving me crazy trying to find that cham song too, kept d/l the Japanese vers., eventually I found the English one I've heard so much and now I can rest, ahhhhh.
  7. Well since Ed left out a bunch of details, I'll just...er...well n/m that I guess. Only advice I can give is don't bother w/ celerity or war..cry or whatever, any sort of status boosters, the last boss (forgot the name of the thing) will just wipe it out w/...sanctuary I think, I haven't played BoF4 in a year >
  8. I prefer DBZ Legends, but UB 22 was pretty cool too, plays a lot like the SNES fighters, anway the only trick I know of is for a few extra characters, press up, triangle, down, x , left, L1, right, R1 at the title screen after the FMV.
  9. er...if you go into the inn place it resets your count, so you can't save, you have to dodge 200 bolts while staying in the thunder plains area, just...concentrate for 20 min, heh lock your door one distraction and it's over, my friend got hit after 192 bolts or so, which is y he was willing to pay me $$, hehe
  10. I dunno Japanese except some select anime vocab, but my friend says it means "Isn't it beautiful?", and he knows Japanese well enough.
  11. Extreme hardcore gamer? Pfft don't give up, all it takes is 20-30 min, I thought Tidus's sigil was harder, and that only took me 8 or 9 tries, it was just very frustrating, stupid birds. Anyway all you have to do is keep exiting and re-entering until lightning bolts hit you ever 3-4 seconds, I've found that moving left and right a lot seems to speed it up than just standing still. Also try to find a place on the side, away from those towers. Once you find a reliable spot just keep moving back and forth and dodging, and keep track of how many you dodge, pause after every 10-25 or so to blink and stuff. Shouldn't be that hard, and Lulu's MUCH better w/ break damage anyway, especially w/ doublecast. Hell find someone to do it for you, heh I admit it takes a lotta effort, but if all else fails find someone else to do it for u, I charged my friend $5 to dodge 200 for him =P. Well he offered and I didn't refuse, same difference, would've done it for a can of coke, ah well.
  12. That's a horrible idea, if you put 10 GF's on Squall, every GF will only get 1/10th the exp of the battle, if you split it up so there's 3 on 2 characters, and 4 on the other your GFs will level up MUCH faster. As for the "djinn", I assume you're talking about Diablos cause he's the only one in a lamp, magic or otherwise. He's pretty simple if you use his own gravity magic against him. Simply draw and stock his demi, then use it against him. Make sure at least 2 of your characters are healed also, but keep one in critical to do their limit break (whoever's strongest). To heal simply draw/cast(instead of stock) demi on him, and he'll "counter" by using curaga on you. Beating him gets you Diablos, yum. Level up your characters too, if you don't level up and the enemies don't, you'll only be able to draw crap spells from them. How can you junction strong spells unless you have any? Unless you want to wait til disc 3 when you can get them free from the islands anyway. Diablos wasn't that hard and I beat him right after I got the lamp, heh didn't even know what the thing did. Just save beforehand and check how much demi does against him (when using it out of your own arsenal). When it starts doing damage under 1,000 it might be time to finish him off, it depends on how strong your people are I suppose.
  13. Hm...out of everything huh? Well if Freya has learned the move 'Reis Wind', that'll restore MP to everyone, depending on what enemy you're facing. I've had it suck away 120mp or so against kuja and other magic-type bosses. Otherwise....run like crazy out of Memoria and ride your airship out of there is the best way to go. Then make sure u have plenty of tents and hi-potions. Oh and don't bother w/ auto-potion, at least not in random battles. In boss battles it saves u some healing, but if you have auto-potion on all the time u'll just end up potionless....er....like now.
  14. I've seen the first 52 episodes or tho (ran out of $$ right before what's to be an awesome dvd >
  15. I thought that not having a tail was a requirement for going SSj in the first place. Having the tail just lets you transform when looking at the moon (or earth). Ssj4 was....after oozaru, but Goku had his tail in ssj4...that could be why there's no gold hair and turquoise eyes.
  16. Yeah yeah I like Tifa a lot better than copycat Zell, but I was just saying that his duel can do the most damage out of all of your people. As for Ruby Dragons, they're incredibly ez if you junction 100 sleeps to status attack. If anything gives you trouble on the island closest to hell/heaven, it's the enemies immune to sleep, hexadragons....um....malboros....sphinxaras I think....but it's worth it to get the crapload of exp from a ruby dragon. All you have to do is put it to sleep, and then use limit breaks or magic (they wake up from physical attacks only), and put them back to sleep when they wake up. If you go there at a low level you'll want to use limit breaks the whole fight, cause the enemies are going to have a crapload of HP.
  17. Jecht is ez what are you talking about? Heh I didn't even notice he had a 2nd form he was so easy. Don't waste your time w/ the Magus Sisters' overdrive, they'll do a lot more damage just taking individual turns. When you use the sisters, have Cindy (the tubby one) use the "help each other" command, she'll use auto-life or cure depending on what you need. Have Sandy and Mindy attack . The stronger your Yuna is the more damage they'll do, til eventually they're doing 99,999 w/ regular attacks. Anyway Jecht doesn't have many good attacks...not much HP anyway. If you beat the last Sin he should be a piece of cake. Use Rikku's mix and combine a lunar and light curtain to make a super mighty guard if you really need help.
  18. You don't need to go through that blechy queen of cards quest. All you need to do is play against everyone in the CC club, from jack to King, in Balamb Garden. Then, in Disc4 all of the CC members will be on the Ragnarok. They will have any cards that you missed, I picked up chubby choco and chicibo from people there. The CC people also have certain cards like leviathan, carbuncle, etc. The queen of cards will be at the crash site in disc 4, and you can get kiros, doomtrain, and Irvine from her. Anyway, besides luvluv g's, the only way to build up compatibility is to use Eden a lot. Also Duel can do more damage than Lionheart, if you're fast enough =P.
  19. First off, everyone's ultimte weapnon has break max damage. Tidus's caladbolg also has 3x overdrive, evade & counter, and magic counter. Auron's Masamune has 3x overdrive, initiative, and counter attack. Lulu's onion knight has 3x overdrive, magic booster, and 1mp cost. Rikku's godhand has 3x overdrive, double AP, and gillionaire (doubles gil). Wakka's world champion has triple overdrive, double AP, and evade & counter. Kimarhri's spirit lance has 3x overdrive, double AP, and evade & counter. I think that's pretty accurate, tho I'm not sure about Auron's.
  20. (I've seen em too and APC a few times ^_^). What do u mean tips on starting?...hm...well besides basic junk like ganging up on one enemy and healing when you need it and stuff, is to buy every weapon and accessory. They might be weaker than whatever u have, but they could have a skill you need. Also when you have steiner & vivi in your party, wait til both of their turns are up and you can use magic sword, does a lot of damage and is great for bosses...don't really wanna spoil anything...hm...always keep a tent or 2 handy, there's usually a save point before bosses and if you die and load from the save point, a tent would help a lot.
  21. (Your sig is pretty cool too, NIN is my fav band but Tool is right after, gonna go see em on the 19th =P) Anyway...no there's no required level....hm....have u explored the whole marsh? I vaguely remember talking to Qu and she says that you should take Quina along...try wandering all over the marsh, and keep talking to quina and qu...over and over again heh. Quina's not connected w/ any other city so...whatever you have to do, you have to do in the marsh.
  22. Well hastega helps in every fight >=\. Anyway I just had rikku (my fastest) w/ auto-remedy on so that she could heal people and everyone else could focus on attacking, holy DID do a lot of damage (especially w/ Yuna's Nirvana powered up. Otherwise it's a normal boss battle where you want to use your strongest moves (duh), and stay alive. Don't forget to pick up the sun crest (for Tidus) after the Yunalesca fight, it's in a treasure chest behind her, somewhat hidden.
  23. I don't remember exactly what to do in Qu's marsh, it wasn't that hard...just talk to Quina and the other....thing like her(/him) there and Quina'll join, you can catch frogs at Qu's marsh once Quina joins too. Catch 99 and you can fight Qu to get a strong fork weapon I think, the more frogs you catch the stronger his Frog Squash(drop?) blue magic is. Just be sure to leave 2 frogs in the marsh, so they'll be babies next time you return. If you catch them all u're going to have to wait a while =\.
  24. You simply have to kill Sin before he uses his overdrive to insta-kill you. He has...what 120,000hp? Or was it 140,000?.....either way, get your overdrives ready to use before the battle! You have to do as much damage as you can so having ultimate weapons completely powered up so you can break the max damage. Just keep using your strongest attacks, and don't worry about protection or healing. The only attack sin uses is Gravija(or something like that), and it takes off a % of your HP so you'll never get below 0. Use sensor in the battle, and if he still has a lot of HP (more than 30,000) when he uses his final attack, you need to get more sphere levels, ultimate weapons, more overdrives, SOMETHING. Remember that short-range attacks won't work until you get a lot closer to Sin so throw things or use magic until then.
  25. FFX International is just the same basic FFX we have in the US, but the ending has....15 min more stuff, and also there are additional bosses you can fight that are supposed to be a lot harder. I have enough trouble w/ the Original creations anyway >=\.
