I'll re-open this for now, but I do expect people to remember what AIM and PM's are for. Like James said, it's a pain in the butt when people flood it with messages that have no place in the thread. By all means some silliness is okay, but otherwise, it's just annoying. So... lets try to not derail it again. Thanks.
Wouldn't that be "Interesting. Most interesting."...? I think it's a better line.
Well that explains a lot. o_O
I'd say he was doing an amazing job of playing a spineless social sad boy with delusions of grandeur and ridiculous amounts of luck with snaring an intarweb wife. Which would make me the wife of the CEO of Wal-Mart... It all makes sense now.
It's almost scary just how much sense that makes. Though I see you saying that last line there in a creepy whisper. =P Oh and I'll agree with the sentiment that dragging Naruto into it... is tasteless. I've removed the last five posts people. Having a little fun is one thing, but lets keep the total off topic spamming to a minimum please. Thanks. All right, I've warned both of you many times that OB is NOT a chat service. This thread has outlived it's purpose and if this continues, both of you will earn getting banned from the site.
And yes, they can. But that's why us admins are here; we moderate the moderators. Of course, if the admins abuse their power then you're just screwed. :catgirl:
I can vouch for the truthfulness of this statement. If Des gets it into his mind to have fun... you are so out of luck. Seriously.

Good, I was actually wondering the same thing as Aaryanna, just when were you going to post in this again. I've got my theories as to what happened to Rat Boy so I want to see if I'm right or not.
No I'm not going to tell you... >_> If I did that you'd change the story to thwart my guess. =P

Yeah, Wal-Mart should discontinue selling red and blue bandanas. Because according to a statistic I just made up, once you stop selling red and blue bandanas, gang violence involving Crips and Bloods will decrease by about 93.984% hahah
Aren't all statistics just that... made up? :p But yeah, I seriously doubt it would change anything.

I'll use it to find music that I don't have in my own collection yet. Just as I'll also use it to check out previews of upcoming movies. I also use it to check out any rock music that I'm considering purchasing since I don't like to waste my money on something like that unless I'm sure I really want it. In spite of all that I still rarely use the place. It's more like once or twice a week I wander over, check out a few things and then go back to what I was doing.
-
That's kind of silly if you really think about it. If you remove bandanas that are blue and red, there's nothing to stop someone from buying a plain one and dying it red or blue. So should they then not sell dye or plain bandanas too? Or how about plain cloth that one can use to make a bandana with? That line of thinking won't really do anything to change gang activity. So no, they don't need to yank them from the shelves. lol

Anime What are You Watching/Reading Now?
Rachmaninoff replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Otaku Central
I also got my hands on the OVA Banner of the Stars III after reading about that in the Crest of the Stars thread.
I just did the same thing, I've watched the first episode and I plan on watching the rest later tonight. It's better than nothing, but I'm kind of disappointed that they haven't seemed to do much with the OVA so far. -
Nice work everyone, especially you Allamorph for taking all the chats and pms and then writing it up in a historical format. I like the addition of the torment aspect, as I said on AIM, it sounds very unpleasant. o_O Anyway, I've updated the first post.

At the moment it's Mozart Violin Concerto No.5 1st mov Music to both sooth and possibly put you to sleep at the same time. Mozart's music tends to be almost too relaxing at times. This one though, I really love the violin part to it. It's so wonderfully expressive and pleasing to listen to.
Now to answer the question (in general) I would say love is where you care about someone or something else enough that your actions reflect that. You are willing to sacrifice time you would normally spend on yourself for them instead. Because that level of action usually isn't something you would do for someone you don't care for on that level.
I agree with that but I would expand it to include that you don't begrudge the time spent on someone else. You might spend more time than you would for someone you didn't love deeply, where for the person you really care for, you are more willing to do so and don't mind the time sacrificed.
I miss Raiyuu being the mod for the Lounge.
I miss that Raiyuu is gone as well. I still remember getting a pm with a mild whack from him for accidentally doing a tiny bit of back seat modding without meaning to. So yeah, it definitely feels odd to see people moving on, especially when you barely got a chance to get to know them.

Because everyone loves odd looking yet harmless critters in anime shows. Instead of characters who look like the walking undead. =P

Right now I'm checking out the soundtrack to Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Crisco. I'm not really listening to one track in paticular as I'm just picking up snippets of each selection over at youtube to see if I want to bother to pick this album up or not. So far the track I'm most interested in is the opening song since it's based on the original composition by Frédéric Chopin's Étude No.8 in E Op.10 No.3. I already have a copy of Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto that is used in the show.
This is what I get for not paying attention but... what's with all the speculation on how long Jared will last? You silly kids! Declaring how soon Jared will break and all that. You make it sound like it's some contest to see who guesses correctly! o_O
Why not? :D Though when I say four days I mean from when they actually start on him. I'm very curious to see how Allamorph and Indi handle that aspect. Even if end up cringing over what they actually do. It's not too late for you to pick a time frame! =P Unlike my character who folded to avoid interrogation I'm sure Jared will not cooperate willingly. And I'll stop spamming the backstage thread now. >_>

What do you usually eat for breakfast?
Rachmaninoff replied to Neptune's topic in General Discussion
Lately it's been plain toast and orange juice. Sometimes it's been cereal. It just depends on what I actually feel like fixing. Last week I was having bagels with a bit of cream cheese on them for breakfast. The only thing I never have is stuff like oatmeal or other hot cereals since I don't care for that stuff. -
Seeing a new post got me curious about whether or not there was any music avatars. Up Through the Ashes Alex had been expecting things to continue like they had been for the past two months. So when he got ready for the next day he was planning on continuing with his near daily training session with Nathan. When he received a message from Nathan indicating that he wished for all of them to meet at his place he was more than a little surprised. It had taken little time for everyone to work out a point when all of them could come over as requested. Alex found himself wondering just what it was that Nathan wanted to talk about. He also wondered if it meant that they had been given another assignment like the deal with the Count. If so, it made no sense that it would have been directed through Nathan. Or so he thought. ?I wonder what he wants.? Nall mused as the two prepared to head over to Nathan?s place. ?I don?t know. It could be another assignment.? He didn?t like the idea of being handed something like that again. With an inward sigh he moved to leave his place and head for where Nathan lived. ?I?m more curious to know why Patrick was not invited.? Nall said from his usual perch on Alex?s left shoulder. ?After all, Nathan did ask Phaidra and Sarvel to come so why leave Patrick, Terry and Fiero out of the request to get together?? Alex just smiled when he thought of how Terry and Fiero had practically run Isen over with their greetings. If they weren?t needed, that kind of distraction wasn?t necessary. Plus when he had told Patrick what had happened, Isen had been right there listening to the conversation. If it did involve another assignment or something related to it, there was no point in asking someone along who didn?t consider vampires a real issue. ?It doesn?t matter Nall, I?d rather they didn?t come anyway.? Nall snorted. ?They?d be useless that?s for sure; he didn?t take your concerns seriously.? Once clear of the walls to their place they immediately sped towards where Nathan was staying. It was early evening and the city was teeming with the activity of humans hurrying about. Even at night it never stopped, they just kept going all the time. Both of them caught a glimpse of what had to be Lucia and Ruby off in the distance. By the time they landed just outside the door to Nathan?s place he could clearly sense that they were already inside, along with the newcomer Phaidra and Sarvel. The only ones missing were Isen and? The unmistakable feel of Chris approaching caught his attention and he waited patiently for her to arrive. ?Don?t be so formal Alex,? Chris said with a grin before she slipped past him and then right through the door and into the apartment. With shrug Alex and Nall followed suit, flowing through the walls and then coming to a halt at the entrance to the main room where Nathan?s tri-chess set was sitting. Phaidra and Sarvel were comfortably sitting on one of the chairs while Lucia and Ruby quietly leaned up against the wall to the right. Chris was in place next to the kitchen counter that overlooked the main room, facing Lucia and Ruby. Alex had barely come to a halt when Nathan who had most likely been chatting with Phaidra stood up from where he was sitting. Like always he was sporting that half amused grin of his though there was a hint of seriousness in his gaze. Alex wasn?t sure if he was imagining that or not. ?Take a seat if you?d like Alex,? Nathan indicated one of the empty chairs. Alex nodded and moved to do so.

Gaming What video game creature do you think a fellow member is like?
Rachmaninoff replied to Rachmaninoff's topic in Noosphere
One of my friends was playing Chrono Trigger the other day and when they were taking part in a certain battle, the villain reminded me of this thread and Gavin. =P So is he evil or merely misunderstood? lol -
Gaming Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Rachmaninoff replied to Deathsite's topic in Noosphere
- I've never been one to talk about customization in these types of games, but I can see the sheer amount that can be done here. And the alchemy pot adds more depth as well. It's too bad I don't know what to do with it at this point of the game lol. I did make a boomerang though lol. I'm thinking about buying the strategy guide, but I've read reviews about it, and majority of them stated that it's not detailed enough. Is it enough to get me from point A to point B?
It is well worth the time to go and print a copy of possible combinations for the alchemy pot. Later on when money takes more work to earn, you'll find it easier to make certain things using the pot instead. Here's a list at one site: List I've heard that the guide for this game isn't very good, but I never got around to picking one up so I don't know. So far I haven't had a problem figuring out where to go and what to do, but we'll see. -
I miss the Picture Caption Games. Someone of course had to lock those. Good job whoever did that. I miss blah.. blah... Etc.
The last two picture threads didn't get locked. People just quit posting in them. =P If you miss the Picture Caption Game so much, just start a new one. Anyway, I can't think of something to post that I miss... I imagine it's because I haven't been around long enough for that.

I don't hate them but as you put it here:
At any rate, Jonas is just more Disney mediocrity. 'Nuff said.
Mediocrity at it's finest really, but then Disney has been excelling at that for quite some time now. I do agree with Whoa, Mann about Pixar though.
She's also of the opinion that it's something that as an elemental, she would be able to cleanse or get rid of. I'm not sure how that works or why she's thinking that. I also don't know if it's true or not. It's something I'll have to explore and any input or thoughts would be welcome.
I imagine she's seeing them as another type of pollution or taint. So it only makes sense that she believes she can simply cleanse them. Sarvel has yet to realize that it's something else altogether. I don't doubt that she would have the ability to stop a vampire, but it probably depends on how powerful they are as to whether or not she could actually do so.
