FINAL FANTASY LEGENDS & LEGACIES CRUSADERS OF CRESCENCE In the world of Crescence fate brings an unlikely group of future heroes together to uncover the truth behind the Seven Scourges plaguing the planet. They all have to choose their paths to achieve their mutual goal, which is no less than the salvation of humankind. WORLD OF CRESCENCE: Ten thousand years ago the planet called Crescence was hit by a huge meteor, causing the planet to lose one fourth of its original mass. The dozens of pieces left from the crash are now circling the planet as moons. When looked upon from the right angle, the planet looks like a crescent moon ? thus the name. From the broken quarter, the planet?s Core is visible, shining in all colors of the rainbow. In legends the Core is where the monsters and demons, but also the dreams, come from. The sloping area around the exposed part of the Core is called the Grail Crater. The Core radiates its eerie atmosphere to the crater as well. Almost two quarters of the remaining surface of the planet is covered by water. The last quarter consists of the continents and the islands spread around the vast oceans. The most populous of the continents is the northern Troika Continent, containing three united countries known together as Three Thrones. Largest of the three is the Queendom of Mertonia, where magic flows from a gigantic green crystal connected directly to the Core. The pillar, known as the Euphony Tree, is located in the wondrous capital city Miraclion, where all the most important magic makers gather once every tenth year to discuss the important issues of the world. The city is encircled by the Soulflow, round river where spirits of the Dead guard the city eternally. The queen of Mertonia acts also the highpriestess of Trinity, comprising of Goddess the Creator, Guardian the Preserver and Doom the Destroyer. The office is not inherited, but when the queen feels that her time is drawing near, she will call potential women around the world for a trial, and the best candidate is chosen as a Holy Heir, who will sit on the Throne of Mertonia when the queen passes. Miraclion is the only big city in the fertile country; outside it there are just wild crystal forests, small rural villages and flowery fields. The climate is warm because of the strong magic. Mertonian people are tall and slender, with hair color varying in all colors of rainbow, from bright red to deep purple. Because of the Euphony Tree they often possess magical skills, but wielding a sword isn?t strange to them either. The second country in Troika is the Aristocracy of Rosaria, governed by noble families ? or Houses ? who all have a rose of different color in their heralds. In Rosaria honor is life, and combat is every man?s duty. There are two large cities in the country, sworn rivals to each other: Avalot, ruled by the House of the White Rose, currently sitting on one of the Three Thrones, and Camelot, ruled by the House of the Red Rose, leading the Rebellious, who oppose the reign of the White Roses. The landscape of this westernmost country in Troika Continent is filled with misty moors and deep lakes. Cool winds sweep through the lands, forcing the people to hide inside sturdy stone buildings. The people of the country have long tradition of battle and war tactics, but they are also deeply religious. They often have a steady build, and their hair color is fair or scarlet. Last of the Three Thrones, the one of Astenia, belongs to Duke Cid ? only the running number changes, current being the 13th. When one Duke Cid passes away, his closest living male relative will become the new Duke Cid. Lately the country has specialized in capturing magic inside machines, and the capital Mekanopolis is now completely dependent of such machina. There isn?t much life outside the capital, though, as the landscape is mountainous and the soil rough and rocky. The climate is temperate on the valleys, but cold up in the snowy mountains. Astenians are the smallest in size of the people of Troika, and they have dark, thick hairs. But what they lack in size they make up in intelligence, and they are considered as the most scientifically advanced nation in whole Crescence. The countries of the Three Thrones meet at one point along the southern coast, and in that point lies the bustling trade city Port Junction, namely free from the politics of the Thrones. In truth, however, the coastal city is governed by a City Council, and rumors say that all of the three rulers of the continent have their own sources inside the Council. There are people from all three countries of Troika ? and Arch Continent as well ? but those who are born there have a natural insight for trading and bargaining. To the southeast from the Troika Continent lies the vast Arch Continent, all of which belongs to the Archane Empire. However, most of the continent is deserted, as it is right on the edge of the Grail Crater. The population concentrates on three locations: the highly fortified Imperial Capital Archabad in the south, from which the Emperor ? currently a small child ? is never supposed to leave; the western harbor city Port Azure, notorious for its questionable freedom of laws; and the northern mountaintop city of Crimson Heights, home to the mysterious Dragon Monks, who prefer a secluded life. The great desert in the middle of the continent ? known as Gargara Desert ? is infested by monsters from the Core, thus few are the people who dare to go there. The desert is considered as the only route to the Grail Crater, but nobody really wants to go there. There is hardly any vegetation on the continent, and the climate is hot and pressing, although the coastal area gets fresh winds every now and then. Because of the climate, the Archane people have dark skin and hair. They are usually slim, which is beneficial for careers such as dancer, thief and assassin. In Troika Continent the people of the Empire are often considered mischievous and untrustworthy, and this attitude feeds the Archane?s urge to make a living by any means necessary. The people in the Three Thrones also accuse the Archane for putting their Emperor above the Trinity, which really is a fact. The Emperor is considered omnipotent, but since the commoners never see him, this power is used by Imperial Advisors. South from the Troika Continent is the small but very fertile Monsoon Continent, also called the Forests of Eternal Rain, for it is entirely covered by green jungle, with only occasional mountaintops peeking here and there. Inside the jungle live many unfamiliar monsters, and vagrant tales tell that an entire race of savage beastmen can be found there: furred, bestial looking people wearing feathers and pelts and carrying spears and bows. As the name tells, there is almost always tropical rains pouring down to the forests, but the climate is hot nevertheless. At the south pole of the planet is the measureless Glacier of Icenflare. It has gained its name from the blue crystal pillars bursting from the ice everywhere. It is said that in the actual pole of the planet rises the true Icenflare, a huge crystal pillar very similar to the one in Mertonia, except where the Euphony Tree is spring green, the Icenflare is arctic blue. Because of the close effect of the Core, the glacier is filled with huge monsters, but the legends say that an ancient race once inhabited the lands, and that the ruins of the culture can still be found somewhere there. The waters of Crescence can be divided into three large oceans; around the Arch Continent is the Ocean of Dawn; to the southwest from the Three Thrones is the Ocean of Dusk, which has the most islands ? known as the Twilight Isles, inhabited by monsters from the nearby Grail Crater; and the water area around the Monsoon Continent is known as the Ocean of Peril, because of its many reefs and stormy weather. This is the planet of Crescence, plagued by the Seven Scourges, apocalyptical entities from the unknown: Warlord spreads dispute inside and between the nations; Avarice makes the rulers insatiable for power and wealth; Plague spreads contagious diseases and Famine makes the crops fail; Nightmare twists peoples? minds and Malform does the same with their bodies. The seventh, Ragnarok, makes volcanoes erupt and ground shake, rouses tidal waves and hurricanes and sends meteor showers down on the people, making it seem like the planet itself has turned against its children. But what is the truth? (Map of the Planet available here.) * * * INTRODUCTION: Welcome to a game that is hopefully different from all those you have participated in the past. As the world overview told, this game is set on a world called Crescence that was hit by a meteor a ten thousand years ago, destroying the ruling civilization of that time, leaving nothing but ruins of that once glorious culture here and there. Now new civilizations have risen, but they have to face a new threat, a seemingly invisible one at this time. The prophecies tell of the Seven Scourges that will destroy the humanity, if those with courage and hope won?t take action. You, my chosen players, are those who have the power to save the strangely wonderful world of Crescence by your actions, your choices, and your commitment. CHARACTERS & PLAYERS: Here?s a list of the characters and players involved in this game: Orderly Characters:

Gale, the Mertonian Mercenary (Sage)
Serisay, the Archane Guard (Cyriel)
Ascencia, the Rosarian Fencer (Arcadia)
Neutral Characters:

Biggs, the Astenian Gadgeteer (Zidargh)
Kaeli, the Archane Merchant (Wondershot)
Cortez, the Archane Thief (Jokopoko)
Chaotic Characters:

Logan, the Mertonian Red Mage (inti)
Aster, the Rosarian Dragoon (The (Sic) Shape)
Rakurai, the Monsoonian Fighter (Shanghai)
If for some reason you?re unable to participate in the game, or later on continue it, please inform me via PM, and we?ll discuss on how to deal with your character. Of course, if this RPG dies before it, it won?t matter, but that?s not what any of us hopes, isn?t it? I won?t specify any rules in here; just play using your own estimation, respect the other players, but most of all, enjoy! TARGET OF THIS GAME: The first target of the game isn?t to go and hack & slash Scourges that just happen to drop on your route ? at this point, nobody doesn?t even know that there?s something behind the bad things that are happening all over the planet (such as wars, plagues and disasters). If you want to beat up something, use the monsters found in every uninhabited place. The monsters are those that are in every FF-game (flans, zuus, madragoras, goblins, bite bugs, and later on malboros, behemoths, dragons etc.). There are also special monsters known as Demons, who are minions of the Scourges, but since they?re so special, leave it up to me to decide when the party encounters one. In case you?re wondering how the battle-system in this game actually works, just read the battle sequence from the beginning of this game below. Oh, yes, the first target of this game is to gather everybody together. My character, and inti?s as well, will begin at Miraclion, the city of magic, but you others can start wherever you like (just remember your characters? bios!). When we have just about everybody gathered, we will sum up the info we?ve gathered during our journeys, and head forward together. The final target, of course, is to find out what the Scourges actually are, where they originate from, and how they can be defeated. Imagination is always accepted, of course, so you don?t have to just blindly follow my lead, but you can add your own things to the plot as well (just keep the final target in mind, okay?) NPC-CHARACTERS: Here are listed the important non-playable people of this game and the friendly creatures: Leaders of Crescence:

Queen Fuchsia ? the holder of the Throne of Mertonia and the highpriestess of the Trinity
Sir Armus ? head of the Templar Knights, the warlord of Mertonia and the lover of the Queen
Duke Cid the 13th ? the holder of the Throne of Astenia and the Master Architect of Mekanopolis
Lady Blanche ? the holder of the Throne of Rosaria and head of the House of the White Rose of Avalot
Lord Rougan ? the leader of the Rebellious of Rosaria and head of the House of the Red Rose of Camelot
Counselor Orlandu ? president of the City Council of Port Junction, who is said to have connections to the Queen of Mertonia
Emperor Shin Ra ? the child leader of Archane Empire, said to be the puppet of the Imperial Advisors
Judge Gojo ? head of the Imperial Advisors of Archabad, in charge of the justice system
Guru Bahamut ? head of the secluded Dragon Monks of Crimson Heights
Elder Seto ? leader of the Beastmen of Forests of Eternal Rains
Other important characters:

Beatricia ? priestess from the House of the White Rose of Rosaria, who is sent to Miraclion for the Trial of the Holy Heir
Sade ? assassin and a Soul Reaver from Archane Empire, who tried to assassinate the Queen
Chap ? the only Chocobo Rancher who has trained his bird-beasts as skillful fighters
Rin ? the world-famous Portjunctionese merchant who sells just about everything
Friendly creatures:

Moogles ? small, pink, winged and most of all cute ?mole-bats?, who inhabit remote places
Chocobos ? running birds of various colors that are traditionally trained as means of transportation, but currently a Rancher has invented to train them for battle
Moombas ? highly intelligent magical beasts with fire red fur who live in areas with crystals
Cait ? race of intelligent but mischievous black cats that lives in Port Azure and tricks gullible people
Qu ? semi-intelligent, big-mouthed gourmands living in several swamps
AND NOW, LET THE CRUSADE BEGIN... * * * The wonderful city of Miraclion spread in front of him. Only to him, the city wasn?t that wonderful anymore. It was the city where he had been given birth in secrecy and where he had been raised in his father?s cold care. It is said that those who saw the city for the first time sometimes fainted in front of its majestic glory and beauty. The wall surrounding the city was tall and pure white, the buildings were constructed by magic, twisted into impossible shapes and forms, and the Temple of Trinity was considered as the most miraculous of all structures made by human. But above that all rose the huge, sky-scraping crystal pillar, shining in vivid shades of green and yellow. It was known as the Euphony Tree, the source of magic and serenity. Its roots were at the very heart of the planet, the Core. It was believed that as long as the Tree stood, there would be no wars in Miraclion. But as said, he had seen this sight so many times it had ceased to amaze him ? if it ever even had. He was beginning to believe the whole charm of Miraclion was but an illusion. But again, what would he know, a lowly mercenary despite the position of his parents, denied by his mother and neglected by his father. It was those two he had to face again, to inform them of his failure... again. His mission to track down and capture the assassin Sade had failed in the worst kind of way: she had escaped. She hadn?t even bothered to give him an honorable death. He still remembered the insulting laughter... ?Stop, criminal! Stop and face the justice!? he shouted to the black-cloaked figure running ahead of him in the dark streets of Port Junction. He had followed her all the way to this harbor-city. He knew that if the assassin would manage to escape on one of the ships, his honor would be lost. How could he return to Miraclion and face the disappointment of his parents. ?I... said... stop!? he jumped on the cloaked figure. But when he ripped of the cape, he didn?t find the Archane woman he had expected, but a Black Coeurl. The feline monster growled ominously. ?What...?? he gasped as he backed down. The beast attacked. *Engaged in battle with Black Coeurl!* PARTY: Gale ? Level: 5, HP: 250, MP: 25 ? Commands: Attack, Sword Art, Paysword, Item The Black Coeurl starts by attacking Gale with Poison Claw. The monster being much stronger, Gale is affected by poison, and his HP starts to decrease gradually. Gale attacks with his sword, but the monster dodges. Black Coeurl attacks physically as well, bringing Gale?s HP to critical. The poison drops his HP to 3. At this point the Black Coeurl ends the battle by transforming back to human form. *End of battle. No experience, gil or items gained.* ?Hah! You were no match for me, darling!? the woman laughed. She was about the same age as he. She had a dark skin like all Archane people, but her short-clipped hair was pure white. She wore tight leather trousers and vest. ?What was that...? You were a... beast!? he shouted confused, breathing heavily. ?Ah, you didn?t know I am a Soul Reaver. My saber absorbs the soul of the monster I defeat, and allows me to become that monster for a while, use its powers... It?s a fantastic ability, you should try it sometimes.? ?Shut up! You tried to kill my m... the Queen! The justice will be... ungh!? ?I doubt it will, sugar! Ahaha!? The woman walked away, laughing a high-pitched laughter. He was left lying on the street, wounded. He thought about not using the potion and the antidote he had in his bag, but finally he decided otherwise. He reckoned the shame was big enough for a punishment of his failure. However, it was another case if the Queen thought so as well... Gale Godspeed crossed the only bridge that lead to the city. Under the bridge streamed the ominous Soulflow, emitting an eerie green light. The round river guarded the city as a perfect defense, because it was unsurpassable by feet. The souls of the deceased took care of that. Gale didn?t know exactly how the souls ended up in the river, but he knew it had something to do with the Senders, the priests of the Doom, who worked at the Temple of Trinity. Without giving the river any more thought, he entered the city. The Temple of Trinity was straight ahead, all the way at the other end of the wide, marble-paved street that started from the gate. It was a road Gale had walked countless times, many of the times with the same feeling of shame. Also the Euphony Tree was visible in its full glory. He reached the Temple at the same time as a fancy-looking white coach pulled by white chocobos. The coach was guarded by the Royal Guard in their shining armor, so Gale reckoned it must carry someone very important. The carriage stopped right at the entrance of the Temple, and from it descended a figure in a white cloak. Immediately the person was surrounded by the guards, who escorted him or her inside the Temple. Gale followed the party within a respectful distance, having had more than his share of cloaked figures recently. The main hall of the Temple of Trinity was a sight as well. The dome was decorated by portraits of legendary people and monsters. There were three main doors leading to the inner parts of the building, alongside with smaller ones for priests and servants. Above each three pair of doors was a colossal marble statue of one of the deities of the Trinity. The door on the right lead to the Great Library, and the statue above it was of the Guardian the Preserver. The leftmost door was guarded by the statue of Doom the Destroyer, and it lead to the morgue, maintained by the Senders. The middle door beneath the statue of Goddess the Creator led to the Queen?s chambers. There used to be a hospital there as well, but when the population of the city grew too large, the hospital had to be removed elsewhere ? although Gale reckoned the real reason was that his mother couldn?t stand looking at sick and handicapped people. Gale was going to head towards the middle doorway, but he saw that the white-cloaked figure was just entering there with the escort guards. The doors were closed after the party, and two guards stepped to block the way of anybody who dared to intrude. Gale felt somewhat relieved that he didn?t have to face the shame just yet. Suddenly he felt a hand touching his shoulder. ?Greetings, Gale! Long time no see!? Gale turned, and saw a face he really hadn?t seen in a while.

Mm, very good, Arcadia! I especially adore the name. ;) FYI, there's already a big connection to Gale and the House of the White Roses in the main story (which I've been planning a bit ahead), but your character will fit it just fine. The head of the White Roses is Lady Blanche, apparently Ascencia's mother, but the story involves your character's cousin as well, but you see in what context when the game starts. Anyhow, Ascencia's so good a character that she'll be in, but you need to change the technical section of your sign-up. Her job is apparently Fencer, no other explanation needed. Her abilities are a bit messed up, as well. A1 ability should be "Lunge Art", which could include "Rose's Edge" as a sub-skill (others would be included as well, such as "Checkmate", a move that attempts to kill off an opponent immediately; if you'd like, I can PM you with suggestion for all Lunge Art-abilities, most gained from the game FF Tactics Advance). Also, you should switch "Parry" to Support-ability (because it really is one), and "Fervor" to A2-ability, since it's a command you can use in battle, not just an automatic effect. Just do these minor changes for me, alright? That's a good girl! :toothy: Here's the updated list of everybody whose in: Orderly Characters: *Gale, the Mertonian Mercenary (Sage) *Serisay, the Archane Guard (Cyriel) *Ascencia, the Rosarian Fencer (Arcadia) Neutral Characters: *Biggs, the Astenian Gadgeteer (Zidargh) *Kaeli, the Archane Merchant (Wondershot) *Cortez, the Archane Thief (Jokopoko) Chaotic Characters: *Aster, the Rosarian Dragoon (The (Sic) Shape) *Logan, the Mertonian Red Mage (inti) *EMPTY Sorry, doukeshi, but you dropped out. Pm me if you want explanations, or another chance. And congrats, Jokopoko, your character is in! There's now ONLY ONE PLACE LEFT!!! I'm planning to get this thing on TOMORROW, so be quick! EDIT (yes, I apparently can't write a post without editing it just a moment later...): I noticed that there's plenty of characters from all the countries EXCEPT Monsoon Continent. And what would make a better chaotic character than a Beastman? A Beastmen (and -women) make excellent mages and hunters because of the jungle-y environment they live in, so I'd be extremely happy if somebody signed up with a character like that. Just remember that the last spot is reserved for a character with CHAOTIC-alignment, so please don't sign-up with anything else, or you won't be in EDIT (once again... Hopefully this is the last one to this post...): Alrighty, I used the "old" copy&delete&repost technique to get this back up to the top of the thread-list, since NOBODY HAS SIGNED UP, and I'm ready to start!!! I'm announcing now that the game will start, but the PLACE FOR THE NINTH PLAYER IS STILL OPEN! So if you have a good character with a lawless nature, PM the sign-up to me, or just post it here (I'll be checking this thread for a possible late sign-ups). But without any more talk, the game is now on at the Adventure Arena, so everybody listed above, head there!

70 posts is NOTHING, matey! ;) My post-count dropped from 1500 to 700 (and I know some people who lost even more), but I'm not bitter about it... okay, just a little. But with this new title system it doesn't even matter! :)

This is exactly what I've been waiting for! I'm doing this sign-up just in case my own RPG (FFLLCC) won't work, but no worry, I have time to participate in both this and my own. ;) Name: Elena Foxtrot Age: 21 Gender: female Sexuality: Homosexual Alliance: The Turks Personality: Elena is still as dedicated to her work as she was when working for the Shin-Ra. She often finds herself pushing her male colleagues onwards when they face problems. She is good friends with both Reno and Rude, but there's nothing more to it. In fact, she feels like "one of the guys", checking out chicks with her friends. Deep down she's frustrated that she's not in a leading position, because she often thinks she has the only brains of the bunch. To others this seems that she only has a way too big ego. Only time will tell if she's going to take her chances on becoming the leader of everything... Biography: Elena is an only child of a rich enterpreneur. She's highly educated, as she went to the best schools of Midgar. Her parents were killed in a carcrash in shady circumstances. Soon after that, at the ripe age of 18, she was recruited by Tseng to join the Turks, who claimed it was because of her high intelligence and lack of empathy. Thus, she has spent many years working for the section. Despite being smart, her morality isn't high enough to think there's anything substantially wrong in what she does. She fought many battles alongside Tseng, Reno and Rude against the rebellious AVALANCHE, yet they were defeated every time. This hurt Elena's ego deeply, and she's determined to make it up by succeeding in her work. Although her plans aim high, she's currently working obediently with Reno and Rude against the new threat rising. She had also an affair with the deceased agent Frost, but she has petrified her heart from taking it too hard. Yet sometimes, when she goes to bed alone, tears fill her eyes. But in the morning she rises to face a new day with new challenges, forgetting the past. Weapon: Elena fancies the way of ancient martial arts, so her selection of weapons includes a nunchaku, some throwable shurikens and - in case neither of the former is in hand - her bare fists and feet. Appereance: See the attachment for an authentic picture of Elena in the game. Nowadays she's wearing a white silk suit with an extremely exposing cleavage (think as in style of LeBlanc from FFX-2) and widening sleeves and legs. I hope this will suffice! I know this game will be good, so I'll stay and wait...

Yippee, more sign-ups, meaning more ranting for me! inti: You got my PM, so you know what are my opinions doukeshi03: I'm sorry, but unless you change your bio, like, completely, you're not in. Your character has no meaning to the story, she's just a mercenary with a rather dull background. It'd be really difficult for her to join the course of events as a some random woman. Try to make the bio more interesting, if you will, okay? Wondershot: you have something I like: originality. A merchant could come in handy... The only problem is that your character should be linked to the story by some way, but I think a link will be created in-game. Also, the little perfectionist in me is advising you to abandon the surname - she's better without it. BTW, nice idea linking Rin to this world. ;) This is becoming a true Final Fantasy world already... I've designed a new special job: Chocobo Rancher. There's definately going to be a Non-Player Character of the trade - unless somebody chooses to play it. Basically the character is able to tame the birdies and call them to battle alongside with them - and of course whenever the party is in need of transportation. The Chocobos have unique abilities related to their color, just like in the game series, but they can now use them in battle as well (in a disturbingly pokƩmon-ish way...) So if anybody's up for the task, go ahead and use it in the sign-up! (I consider this job a basic one, not an advanced one) Oh, and characters with Chaotic alignment are needed, otherwise the summoning system isn't going to work! Remember that Chaotic doesn't mean evil - just disobedient. ;) About the schedule: next week, guys! This game is definately going to start next week (although not necessarily next Monday), so hurry up with those sign-ups! I'll be waiting right here... EDIT: I made some slight changes to my own character info, mainly changed the Queen's name to Fuschia, and explained why Gale is after Sade. Everybody who I exchanged PM's with, thanks for bearing with me! I know I can be annoying when it comes to nitpicking (if that's the right word). Send in those sign-ups, you still have a few days! EDIT, THE SEQUEL: Important notice to The (Sic) Shape and inti! Would you two mind changing your characters' alignments to Chaotic? In Aster's case it's well based, since he is a part of the Rebellious, ie against the Throne of Rosaria. And Logan could use a bit spice, like you, inti, suggested. And this way, we get a list of the players that are DEFINATELY in (some of you I've put in a spare place, so if nobody better signs up in a day or two, you, too, are in). There's 9 places in total, and here's the list: Orderly Characters: *Gale, the Mertonian Mercenary (Sage) *Serisay, the Archane Guard (Cyriel) *EMPTY (Spare place: Rane, the Mertonian Knight (doukeshi03)) Neutral Characters: *Biggs, the Astenian Gadgeteer (Zidargh) *Kaeli, the Archane Merchant (Wondershot) *EMPTY (Spare place: Cortez, the Archane Thief (Jokopoko)) Chaotic Characters: *Aster, the Rosarian Dragoon (The (Sic) Shape) *Logan, the Mertonian Red Mage (inti) *EMPTY So three places up for grabs... I'm making this more competitive now, just to get you to HURRY UP!! And to the players already elected, I want an oath of DEDICATION, in written and in three parts!!! ...Okay, not really, but you know what I mean.

Wow, this seems to be more popular than I thought! Five sign-ups in one night! I thought my humongously long introductions and explanations would scare everybody away... If this gets more popular, I'll consider approving maybe ten people in, but I've noticed that if too many people are involved, the more confusing and disoriented the game gets, as everybody's just doing their own stuff. I'll just review the sign-ups one by one (NOBODY's in yet, I'll announce that before the game starts). Jokopoko: thanks for making the changes, but did you notice that your A1 ability (Sneak Attack) is really a support-ability? Action-abilities are commands, which you can choose on the battle aside from "Attack" and "Item"; support abilities work automatically. Gosh, I'm such a perfectionist!! Zidargh: Whehee, you've got the spirit! You have Biggs & Wedge, and you put them in a very original position. Way to go! No complains whatsoever. Xra: I'm sorry, but you're character seems to be a bit too extraordinary... He would make a perfect goon for a villain, but for a character fighting the Scourges... I don't know, I'll have to see... Cyriel: You linked your character to the situation I wrote in a pretty good way, connecting Sade to the Child Emperor. I had my doubts on the name Serisay, but I guess it goes fine (just don't use shortening Seri, okay?). The (Sic) Shape: Same goes to you about the linking to the story. You gave your character excellent motives for a vendetta against the White Roses, I like it. Just please put the name of the family Astral is from, like the House of theBlue Rose. I'll stay and wait for more (but I won't wait too long, I have very good characters here already). I see a lack of mages (White, Black, Red etc.) here, so somebody should play those.

Just a quick notice on your sign-up, Jokopoko. I really like your character, there's nothing wrong with him, but I don't think the abilities you chose are very logical. Cortez is a thief, right? So why isn't his action-ability "Steal", or "Thievery" (the latter includes similar skills as Zidane had in FF9)? And I'm definately not going to approve "Perfect Dodge" as a support ability - don't you think it's a tad exaggerated, too? I suggest "Alert", which enables the character to notice surprise attacks, and dodge some attacks (and thief is very agile by training, anyhow). If you do these minor changes for me, you're almost certainly in. Thanks in advance! :)

Gay Marriage, PLease, let's be mature
Sandy replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Sorry, Boba, I know I spoke too hastily when I wrote that... I beg you to understand that I sometimes have trouble finding right words, being a "foreigner" and all... It's like you say, I called those who have prejudiced and groundless opinions morons, and unfortunately the image I have through news and media in general is that it is the conservatist party who opposes things like homosexuality, abortions, equality between men and women etc., simply because those things were banned before (and doesn't even the title "conservative" mean somebody who opposes changes?). I strongly believe that things shouldn't be taken for granted, no matter how many generations before us has done so, if you get my point. Homosexuality is one of those things. Yes, most of the religions ban it, and homosexuals have had to hide their true personality for centuries or longer (yes, there has always been gay people), but this doesn't mean the future can't be different. Just because some book that billions of people read says it's unnatural, it doesn't mean it really is! To quote myself: "nothing in nature is unnatural". And what goes to gay marriages, why do the ones who oppose it even care?! What is it up to them, really? Sure, they may say that their conscience goes against it, but there is really other feelings below them: fear, uncertainty, hatred, bitterness... I understand, but I don't approve. Among my believings goes that each people is an individual, so it is really wrong of me to categorize every follower of a political party a moron, but - apart being both a hypocrite and somewhat schizophrenic (not diagnosed ;) ) - it is really hard to me to live up to my ideals as well, as is the case with every humanbeing, I believe. So, sorry Boba, for being a moron myself. As you see, there's at least some intelligence in front of this PC as well. ;) And now that I ranted endlessly about my beliefs, I should probably add something to the discussion. This whole "gay parents make their kids gay as well" falls into the same category of opinions caused by fear I mentioned earlier. Some people have this fixation that if they allow gay people to roam around free, the population will suddenly cease to grow (as gayness is contagious, of course), and it would mean the end of all civilization. That's some chain of logic, huh? -
Box Hoy, there's going to be much more characters in the game than the four announced, so hold your horses - It's 99% sure that one of them is Bangaa. Did anybody else notice that the purple, snot-nosed creatures AREN'T Bangaa after all! I first thought so, but in a picture of Vaan there's a Bangaa and one of those pigmen side by side, and they don't look anything alike. Actually, the pigmen remind me more of Nu Mou... Well, the REAL reason I posted this is that I found some quite fresh screenshots from a Japanese site, and I recognized the blue-skinned, angelic woman from them: it's the Totema Altima from FFTA!!! Here're the shots that prove it! I just wonder how they're going to use the über-powerful Totemas in the gameplay...

Because of the close effect of the Core, the glacier is filled with huge monsters, but the legends say that before the meteor struck, an ancient race inhabited the lands, and that the ruins of the culture can still be found somewhere there. This is the planet of Crescence, plagued by the Seven Scourges, apocalyptical entities from the unknown. Warlord spreads dispute inside and between the nations, Avarice makes the rulers insatiable for power and wealth, Plague spreads contagious diseases and Famine makes the crops fail, Nightmare twists peoples? minds, and Malform does the same with their bodies. The seventh, Ragnarok, makes volcanoes erupt and ground shake, rouses tidal waves and hurricanes and sends meteor showers down on the people, making it seem like the planet itself has turned against its children. But what is the truth? * * * Alright, people, care to join the crusade to save this pretty awesome world I?ve created? (Honestly, I?m very proud of it!) As always, I demand quality and dedication from the players I choose ? and also knowledge about the Final Fantasy series. Also, I will take only from 2 to 6 people in, just to keep it simple and clean. The main factor in whether you?re in or not is of course the signup sheet, following next: NAME: this game goes under the Final Fantasy ?title, so I expect the names to be like the ones in the series; to be more specific, I won?t accept anything with an apostrophe (e.g. L?Adih D?a?ah), or anything too common (e.g. Bob), or anything I know some of you use in every single RPG you sign in, or anything that is the same as your member ID; what I encourage is something imaginary, original and creative (like in the games), yet existing names are approved as well (and now I know I?m making too big a deal out of this name issue...) GENDER: male or female, no other options, sorry! AGE: I?m reminding you again about the FF ?title of this game, so remember that in the series teenagers/young adults are usually the most common age-group, and anybody past 30 is an oldie (I will forbid something like ?999 years? or ?been here since the beginning of time?, because nobody gets to be a god!) APPEREANCE: again, since Final Fantasies are made in anime-style, I encourage you to make up your character in same style; yes, the hair can be of extraordinary color (see the introduction for details about hair-color), and yes, the characters can wear kimonos and skimpy outfits, but especially pay attention to which country your character is coming from: in Astenia people dress like in 1800?s, while in Arch the style is Arabic/Indian and in Rosaria it?s medieval; unlike in the game series, the outfits can ? and probably will ? change during the course of the game; you can use a picture, but it would be better just to use description, because it?s more original, and you have to put more effort in the character HOMELAND/TOWN: consider this one carefully, as your character will be pretty much based on it: the way s/he looks, behaves, what?s his/her job, relation to the rulers, perhaps... But please stick to the countries mentioned in the introduction; I?ve also mentioned all the cities of the world, but if you want, your character can be from a small village (name and location is for you to decide); just remember that Archane Empire has only three cities and no villages; your character cannot be from wastelands such as Twilight Isles or Glacier of Icenflare, but I will make an exception in Monsoon Continent, so if you want to, you can be a kind of Ronso-type of beastman (color and pattern of the fur and the ?horniness? is up to you to decide) BIOGRAPHY: again, I?d like you to use the introduction of the world to make this; I have nothing against your character being related to the leaders of the countries, or even ? in restricted cases ? one of the leaders, but ?zero to hero? ?types are also welcome; so just use your imagination, while at the same time keeping it in the limits of the world I?ve created; oh, and you cannot be a villain (because the villains are the Scourges), but this doesn?t mean you cannot be otherwise naughty or mean (I just don?t want this to be all black-and-white); and the more in-depth the better, although you don?t have to write everything the character has experienced here (and I?ll just shut up about this now...) ALIGNMENT: you have three options: Orderly, Neutral and Chaotic; this will affect mostly on the behavior of your character (so make this match your bio), but also to what kinds of jobs you can advance to; Orderly characters obey and defend the laws and the ruler, Neutral characters do what is in their own best interest, and Chaotic characters oppose laws and restrictions, to the point of criminality (notice how this isn?t the classic good vs. evil ?arrangement); also, your alignment has a lot to do with what part of the Trinity (respectively Guardian, Goddess and Doom) your character is blessed by (but no need to worry about this now, since this nuance of the plot will be revealed during the game) JOB: in the beginning I should advice you to stick with basic jobs, like soldier, mercenary, thief, healer etc. ? this game involves a character advance system of some sort, so you can change it to a more powerful one later; there is few special advanced jobs made for this game: Templar Knight (equivalent to Paladin; they work for the Temple of Trinity in Mertonia), Dragon Monk (equivalent to Monk/Dragoon; they are masters of martial arts, and can temporarily transform into a dragon; they live in Crimson Heights in Archane Empire), Demonologist (equivalent to Summoner, they can summon demons of the Core, but the powerful creatures are pretty unreliable), and Soul Reaver (equivalent to Morpher; they take the souls of the monsters they fight, and use the souls to transform themselves into monsters of the same type) ABILITIES: simply put, I allow up to two action abilities (besides attacking with weapon and using items) and one special support ability; just link these to your job, like a thief can have A-abilities ?Thievery? (containing all kinds of stealing) and ?Throw? (can successfully throw weapons at enemies), and a S-ability ?Agility? (higher speed and evasion); this game is a lot more plot-based than battle-based, but it would be nice to have few battles to show off the characters? talents every now and then (it?s really challenging to write battle-scenes as well!) WEAPON: like before, link this to the job you choose, but be creative as well, like a mage from Astenia could have a Gadget (type of magic-machine) as a weapon in stead of a Staff or a Rod; you can have a special, named weapon, but just remember to mention its type; the weapon can also have special side-effects (such as poisoning, or some element); the weapon (like the outfit) can, and will, change during the game * * * Summa summarum, just read everything I wrote carefully, and you?ll be just fine ? and do not hesitate to ask if something is left unclear, since there is pretty much stuff put into one in this game. I hope I?m not scaring you away with all this info, because I tried not to be too controlling, but I guess it?s just my nature or something... But bare with me, I?m willing to negotiate about everything! I just want to have a good quality FF-RPG, and enjoy myself! Besides, if this goes well, there is a good chance for the FF Legends & Legacies to become a series of its own! Yea for continuity! Okay, just to give you a final idea of what I was talking about earlier, I?m putting in my own character: NAME: Gale Godspeed GENDER: male AGE: 24 APPEREANCE: very tall, muscular young man with angular face and sharp gaze; long, grayish blue hair and gray eyes; in the beginning he wears a dark blue cloak covering a light-blue tunic and black leather pants with several belts and pieces of armor in critical places HOMELAND/TOWN: Queendom of Mertonia/Miraclion BIOGRAPHY: Gale is the son of Queen Fuschia of Mertonia and sir Armus, the head of the Templar Knights, but since the Queen isn?t even supposed to have children, let alone get married, Gale was brought up by his father. This doesn?t mean nobody knows who his mother is, but it?s kept as one of those ?public secrets?, and nobody talks about it out loud. Gale himself is ambitiously trying to prove himself to his father ? and even though he doesn?t admit it, to his mother too ? but he is constantly failing. Currently he serves his parents as a mercenary and bounty-hunter, doing missions for payment ? and for approval. His latest mission to track down and kill the Soul Reaver Sade, a female assassin from Arch who tried to rid the world of the Queen, failed miserably as she fled. Now Gale has returned to Miraclion to ask for yet another chance. By nature Gale is serious and conscientious, yet he is easily provoked. He doesn?t much care about women ? or men either ? but he has sacrificed his personal life for serving his parents. ALIGNMENT: Orderly JOB: Mercenary ABILITIES: A1: Sword Art ? uses physical soldiers? moves learned in the army (Slam ? damage with stun-effect; Armor Break ? lower target?s defense etc.) A2: Paysword ? spend gil (money) to improve attack power S: Counter Attack ? retaliate when hit physically WEAPON: ?Gilventure? ? an oddly shaped yellow longsword that has an amazing ability to attract gil * * * So that?s something I had in mind. I really hope you get as excited about this as I am, because I?ve really put an effort to get this thing up here. And if you really want to play this game, but have trouble with the character, I have a few good ones in store, like a Queen-to-be who isn?t that thrilled about the idea to be a Queen; and the Child Emperor of Arch, who gets fed up just staying inside the palace walls and decides to go out and explore the world. This is about all, I think. I?ll stay and wait for those signups (I won?t wait forever, though, but like I said, I only need 2-6 players). And again, do NOT hesitate to ask if anything?s left unclear! PS. Don't forget to look at the attachment showing the map of Crescence and the Trinity (yes, the pics are stolen from FF6, but they fit!)

Gay Marriage, PLease, let's be mature
Sandy replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
This is really a tough issue... Last year (or was it the previous..) we gaypeople here in Finland got a chance to register our relationships, yet it isn't considered a marriage. Now the discussion is spreading to the Lutheran Church, where some priests are willing to bless the registered relationships - of course the majority of the zealots in the Church oppose. But the majority of the commoners are luckily tolerant about this issue, and I expect a change of things soon. But that is the situation in Finland. I've been following the news about this issue lately, and I really don't think it is the time for gay marriages in USA. There's just too much going on there, beyond the pond, as we say. It seems that the atmosphere there has too much hatred and prejudice and will to avenge that stirring the conservatists is a bit too risky... Who knows what kind of gay-banning law the Congress will put up if they're too pressed. Really, politics is a dangerous game when played by morons! ...Oops, sorry... But I honestly think that anybody who worry too about what other people's private lives are morons, and should concentrate on themselves more. Being gay isn't against the law (anymore), remember that! -
Huh? "I sure wish Final Fantasy could be played non online"? Final Fantasies are played non-online, aka offline. Unless you just meant FFXI, and I'm just being all overparticular about it... Anyways, I don't agree with you: FFXI would be a very dull game to play offline - the whole point of it is that it's an online game - or to be more accurate, Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. There's no detailed plot in the game, everybody just does whatever they want. If it were an offline game, it would just be a Final Fantasy version of the Sims (gawd I'm so fed up with the Sims!!!).
Originally posted by otakukev If you don't have a way of poisening or don't have a beastmaster, then I think you're screwed.
Uh... I do have a beastmaster, but the monsters I'm against are so tough... A Big Malboro, Titania, one or two dragons and whatnot... Well, I guess I'll just stop whining and try the "illegal" approach. Oh man, I'm so far in this game... :worried:

HELP!! I think I've been trapped in my game... Alright, I have played for about 50 hours of the game, and now I've reached Deti Plains, where I'm supposed to meet
Cid
in one of those "surprise" encounters. However, I moved to the symbol at the same time with a rival gang, so I naturally engaged in a battle with it before the real mission. Naturally I won with my doublesword-paladin-Marche (I named him Gabriel, though, because... well, he looks like a Gabriel), then I saved. Now, the problem is that if I attempt to move away from the symbol, I will get engaged in the "surprise" battle with some monstery monsters. Of course with my luck, there's currently a law against hurting animals, and I naturally don't have any anti-law card to prevent it! So now I'm stuck in one place, where I can't move away, or else I get engaged in a battle I can't win because of ONE STUPID LAW!!! Am I pissed, or am I PISSED?! Isn't there ANYTHING I can do??? The laws don't change randomly, do they? (I tried to restart the game, but the same laws still stood...)
-
Err, did you play the game or not?
During the ending texts we see a "homevideo" made by Selphie from the party after Ultimecia's defeat (we see all our fave characters rendered!). After some funny scenes (like Zell choking on hot dogs and Irvine zooming on some random girls' behinds) we witness Irvine sneaking to a blacony with the camera, and catching Rinoa talking to "somebody". After the textures we see that the "somebody" is - surprise, surprise - Squall, and the kiss. The End.
Sandy Silkmoon left the Imperial Palace feeling highly insulted. The Glorious Quest To Save The World he had dreamed of had changed to a simple task of fetch-and-deliver. He felt his talents were at waste, and that he ought to return to his stage at the club - the one place where he would be respected! But as he was heading back towards the club, he saw the other men that had received the same task, all running to the General Store. He felt the weight of the gold pouch in his 1000-yen-pants, and he began pondering. "Hmm... Who knows what this will turn out to be... Have I become such a wuss that I can't accept a challenge anymore? Is that really me, or the person I'm pretending to be?" His contemplations were cut by a rude shout from one of his would-be-companions. "Hey lassie, are you coming already? We sure ain't gonna carry you around in a sedan chair or anything!!" Sandy's face blushed with anger and determination. How did that jackass dare?! Talking in that manner to a lady... "Oh Jebus Scribes..." Sandy finally sighed, giving up and prancing to the general store. When he entered there the others were already leaving. They glanced at him with a grin, as if they didn't take him too seriously. Sandy swore in his mind that they'd see... "Good day to you, Clerk-san!" Sandy greeted cheerily. "Good day to you too, Miss - uh, I mean sir! What can I get you?" "Umm, don't you have Mineral Water? Out of Stock? Too bad, then I have to stick to Water. Let's see, with 300 yen I get six... Here you go, dear!" "Excuse me, but I got the idea that you're leaving to a quest with the gentlemen who visited here earlier. Surely you'll need Dumplings..." "Ew, no! Those are really bad for my digestion! I'd crap like a sick elephant for a week, ha ha! This'll be just fine, honey. Toodles!!" Sandy exited the store, leaving the merchant openmouthed. He followed the Emperor's instructions and headed out from the gate. Under the gateway he turned to take a last glance at Nabuto Town. "Hope we don't see each other too soon", he said to the bustling town. He walked a while, swinging his fan back-and-forth, opening and closing it at the same. Nobody was to witness it, but the fan actually changed color each time it opened. From flaming red to seagreen to black-and-white pieds. The weapon concealed a secret only known to Sandy himself. He didn't have to stroll for long, however, as he soon ran to the group of companions standing at the side of the path. "We were waiting for you" said a happy-go-lucky looking twink. "Name's Yijo, what's yours?" This is going to be interesting, Sandy reckoned as he regarded the diverse group he was going to travel with. "I am Sandy Silkmoon. I am sure you all've visited my nightclub at the center of Nabuto, you can't really miss it..." As the sincerely curious smile faded from Yijo's face to a barely polite faint smile, Sandy added in his mind that the others didn't necessarily agree with the "interesting"-part...
-
While the majority of people of Nabuto Town rushed to do their daily chores, one remained in his bed. It wasn't until noon that he awoke to a knock at his bedroom door. Slowly he removed the pink sleeping mask from his eyes, sighing dramatically. "What is it?" "A message for you, Sandy!" came a cheery voice from behind the door. Sandy recognized the voice as one of his girls, Lulu. Reluctantly the tall, willowy man known as Sandy Silkmoon climbed up from his king-sized bed full of fluffy cushions and pink silk-sheets, and put on a silk robe - naturally pink as well. He stepped to open the door for Lulu. "Here ya go!" Lulu said, her shrilling voice torturing Sandy's ears. "Please honey, don't shout this early in the morning!" he sighed as he took the scroll from the girl. "What are ya talkin' about?! It's way past noon, you silly you! Oh, one of the Emperor's twinky messengers left that. It said something about recruitment..." "Thanks for doing me the favor of reading my letters, hun, but it really is too early for me to put up with you. Bye!" Sandy slammed the door in the confused girl's face. He returned to his bed and sat on the edge to read the imperial letter. After finishing it, he took a long moment to let his eyes wander around the walls of the room. Every possible place of them was covered in crescent-shaped fans and silk veils of all colors. They were artifacts of his past; they might look harmless ornaments to a casual visitor, but when looked upon more carefully, each would turn out to be a lethal weapon. They were Sandy Silkmoon's Thousand Veils. And it seemed to be time to put them in use again. An hour later Sandy emerged from his room, surprising his three employees - Lulu and her big sisters Cici and Bebe - with his shiny appereance. His purple hair was slicked up in a physical-laws-defying manner, and the areas around his eyes glittered with... well, glitter. He was wearing bright yellow jacket and matching trumpet trousers, along with a white shirt with flamboyantly frizzly collar and sleeves. He carried a large, folded fan on his shoulder. He made a spin in front of the girls, and ended it by opening the fan, revealing the golden sunrise embroidered in it. "Jolly good morning to you, lasses! I'm off to a little quest, so I hope you keep this club o' mine up and running? Thank you, darlings, I know I can count on you!" "But..." the three sisters started, but Sandy was already at the door. He did a final spin, snapping the fan shut. "Tata!" he exclaimed while exiting his nightclub - unique to the whole wide world. The main street was as empty as normally, but to Sandy, who lived in nights, it seemed odd. Like the whole population of Nabuto had just vanished... It would mean bad to business, he mused, but then he decided to focus on the matter at hands. He walked merrily towards the grand palace of the Emperor, whistling on his way. When reaching the gates, he handed the scroll to the stoic guards. "You are permitted to enter..." the guard he had handed the scroll to started, but Sandy put his index at the guard's lips. "Say no more, you stud you! I can see you're awfully worn out by this horrid task, so why wouldn't you cheer up a bit - it's a lovely day anyway, isn't it? And if you need some relaxation, my nightclub is open from dusk till dawn..." Sandy's voice faded and smile vanished slowly when the guard's glare tightened and became more and more threatening. "Alrighty, I get the point, no need to be hostile! Now if you gentlemen excuse me, Emperor and I have business to attend to!" Lifting his pointy nose up dramatically Sandy walked between the two astonished guards, and made his way to the palace itself. He stopped one last time at the massive front door, and said to himself: "This is it, missy. New adventures await..." He entered the majestic building confident in the outside, but nervousness bubbling within.

Me too! I haven't played the game (actually, never even heard of it), but I hope I got the main idea. Name: Sandy Silkmoon Age: 19 Gender: male (though many have second opinions about that..) Hometown: Nabuto Town Hobbies: yaoi-manga-comics, dressing up as a geisha, collection of fans and veils Appereance: tall and slim body structure; feminine facial features that are highlighted by the make-up he uses; auburn skin; spiky hair that changes color frequently (starts up as purple); wears clothes that match the hair color, mainly thight jackets, girly blouses with frizzly (?) collar and sleeves and trumpet-trousers; lotsa jewelry; all in all, extremely gay Personality: your stereotypical gayman, meaning energetic, enthusiastic in just about everything, perky to a point of spasticness, and a obnoxiously dirty minded Biography: Sandy Silkmoon came to Nabuto Town along with the fame. He's a fortune-seeker with a hidden past, but he pretty much settled to Nabuto, running a one-man-theater show in his own nightclub (only one in the world) to entertain tourists. He can transform from the chic club-owner to a geisha-drag queen in a split moment. But he also has a third, darker self, and his collection of fans and veils is more than a mere interest to decoration; in his past he was a lethal assassin, attracting pervy rich men with his notorious Dance of Thousand Veils, and when he would be alone with the unfortunate victim (most often in a filthy motelroom), he would use his razor-sharp fans to cut the victims throat open, thus claiming the reward for the kill. But now, after fleeing to Nabuto, he promised himself never to get involved in such business again. Nevertheless, he keeps his fans sharp for a bad day, and that day is nearer than he thinks... I hope you like my char, Zid, because I'm certainly falling in love with him! This is going to be so good!! [edit]Whoopsie! I just read your entry, Raiha, and I noticed that our characters are quite close to each others - except mine is a silly drag-version of yours. ;) Please comment on this, Zid“; is it necessary to make some changes in order to add diversion?[/edit]

No, don't say that, Arch!! I loved your poem! It might not be THE most original piece of poetry, but you surely know your rhymes and rhythms! :toothie: And while reading it, I got this "deep" feeling inside, which I only get when reading something really deep. ;) You're obviously gifted, Arch, so don't put yourself down! *thumbs up* (PS. Your FFX-2 -signature is simply hilarious! Thanks for the laughs!)

I've heard from several of my friends who were exchange students that they used to amuse themselves by teaching their native classmates some dirty Finnish sentences, so when the classmates would meet a person who talks Finnish, the first thing (after introduction) would be "Haista vittu" (I'll leave it up to your imagination to figure out what it means, though Laura, my-sister-in-language probably knows). Go ahead and try it if you have a chance! :toothy: Te he hee, nasty me... :naughty:

I really have just one, and I know this will sound extremely selfish, but my nominee for The RPG of the Year is Final Fantastic Survivor, by yours truly. I have good arguments for this, too: first off all, this game combined two themes that are both famous world-wide; this game also gathered a bunch of enthusiastic people, who really gave their best at this (well, most of them); the game lasted for SIX MONTHS, yet I managed to pull it through with honor - which is something that is rare in Adventure Arena; it has sprouted a web-comic by GinnyLyn, who was also the winner of the competition (check out the site at: ffs.ffantasy.com); and lastly, it was as good as an event, as the public was allowed to impact the result. The game was part of my life - and Ginny's, Desbreko's, Braidless Baka's, Mei's, Zidargh's and bunch of others - for so long, and we really worked for it while still enjoying it, that in my opinion it deserves to be recognized. Okay, I'll just stop this here, and let the majority decide. PS. G/B/S, you really brightened my day by thinking I'm good-looking - you almost made me think the same. :D
Originally posted by Kitty I'm a little stuck right now, though. How do you use their special dresspheres? I've gotten them for Yuna, Paine, and Rikku, but haven't been able to use them. What buttons do you press?! Either I'm using the wrong buttons or I need a new controller. Whoever answers the above question, thanks in advance. Laterzez!! ~FF X-2 Player~
I can answer your question, though I don't own the game (I just know much about it): you have to change through ALL of the Dress Spheres attached to the same Garment Grid as the Special Dress, leaving it the last - that way it will "open" to use. The fastest way to do this is to simply have a 2-slot Garment Grid, so you don't really have to move through anything. ;) I hope I got this right...

Don't forget the numerous off-main-series ff-games, such as FF Tactics (PSX), FF Tactics Advance (GBA), FF Crystal Chronicles (GC), and the ancient FF Mystic Quest and FF Legends -games. It's really no wonder that a person that is just getting to know the series is confused (and I suspect that Semmy was being sarcastic, so it's not easy even for more experienced/informated ones).

EEEH!!! I can see Barret!!! And Cid (?)... Sadly that Aeris-Cloud scene is just a flashback, but it still gives a little hope that maybe... I can sense that BLUE is going to be the main color theme of the game... ("How did you ever guess?!")
Originally posted by G/S/B Master Sage where are you in X-2? I'm at Kilika Woods trying to get the awesome sphere. Can't wait till I join the youth league, so that I could destroy old people :P.
You misunderstood me, pal. I don't have the game, I have just totally spoiled myself with it. ;) I know just about everything about the game - unfortunately...
