Originally posted by wrist cutter It would sure seem like she does, otherwise she probably wouldn't. I'm sure she knows of all the effects.
She probably does, and I'm not going to flame you for being who you are, wrist cutter. But, you just don't know how deeply it hurts and eats inside of me knowing my Mom will probably die from smoking. You just can't possibly understand. And I'm a caring person, and if I believe something is strongly wrong, I'm going to state it, whether what I'm saying just seems like something you already have heard or not. You just possibly can't emphasize with how deeply it hurts.

Nothing in the rules says it's wrong, but it would be nice if you could post an english translation as well. It would be more than nice, it would be needed :p

I said this in an earlier thread, and I'll say it again--Technology will be our downfall. This doesn't come as a shock to me, of course they've got nukes. Almost every country these day does, or is secretly planning to do so. And about how nobody is stupid enough to launch a nuke. You have no idea what ignorant leaders and people we have in this world to day. Not for a second do I doubt that someone has enough temerity, enough evil, to launch one.
Originally posted by GinnyLyn OK, time for some talk in FFX's defense. ;) Do you recall the first few games of each new system that comes out? I especially remember several of N64's--Mario 64, Zelda 64, etc. And you'll notice that the visual/audio aspects are generally paid attention to first. Content usually follows, and is altered accordingly. Or vice versa. What I'm saying is that FFX was the first FF of the PS2, and (somewhat unfortunately) more attention was given over to audio (mostly) and visual effects, rather than the content (IMO, the reverse was true for FF7--content over graphics). Even with the advent of the DVD technology, the massive amounts of graphics eats memory up faster than anything (I should know, I am in multimedia programming). I'm not completely excusing FFX. Squaresoft may have wanted to impress with all this flashy stuff on one disk, but it suffered as a result, as we can see by this thread. ;) As I said earlier in this thread, spreading the game over two disks wouldn't have been all that shameful--but how else would you extend the story? There is such thing as TOO much content *cough*FF9*cough* IMO, the switching out charas was fun, but probably the core of why the game was so easy. The FF crew could have done better, but regardless, I still love this game--always will.
You're being to defensive here and taking it like it was a blow to the game to say it was easy. Know, I love Auron just like you, he's almost as cool as Sephiroth. The characters in FFX were great, the battle system was great, the graphics were great, lots of things were great. It was pretty easy, though. So what, just a small drawback, you've still got a solid 50 hours of play in it. But comparitively speaking, FF3(6 Japan), FF7, and so on were much more challenging, and, I think, were much more better story-wise. I'm not saying FFX was a crappy game, because it wasn't, but I'm saying out of all the Final Fantasies thus far, it wasn't the best.

My mom smokes. Trust me, you don't want to smoke. If I were you I would stop as soon as I can. Everyday I tell my mom to stop, and it just kills me to know that someday she'll get cancer or something and she'll die. I'm not trying to be a parent, because I'm not, but smoking really hits me in the center.

If you weren't so narrow minded when watching this movie, it was, truly, good. The animation was top notch, the characters were sophisticated and seemed as if they could truly be alive, and the story was also very well done. I'd give it an 8.7/10.
Originally posted by BabyGirl I keep that secret from my parents, too... Other things my parents don't know are things like how much I drink and that I smoke and that I sleep in the same bed as a guy [my boyfriend] every night ^_^;
They'll find out eventually. Why not just get it out the easy way?

Yeh, I get what you're saying, Jenna. But I'm saying that if I had to choose one over the other, and would choose women.

I think in guys have it easier, even though I'd rather just say Females just because I'm a Male ^^. Males have it easier because women or usually placed into our society lower than males are. If a women would want to play Football or something of the sort, they would most likely never make it, even if they were a talented person at it. And also, in the past, women have been looked down on even worse. Ex. Women's Sufferage (Sufferage means to be able to vote), women used to not be allowed to vote. And if you look even further in the past, Women have been even treated more worse. Women used to be there just to have children, do housework, raise the kids. So all in all I'd have to say throughout the history of Men and Women, Women have had it much tougher.

Fall The wind whispers a slight mumur of unquiet remorse leaves blow by pushed by the murmur of the wind falling back and up contradicted by the slight murmur clouds edge the sky piercing the blue exterior graying the slow moving world below plants wither in a starting rest tress become naked of leaves grimly standing, staring into the cloudy gray sky hills encompass around fading of green and boldness insects slowly become but a whimper a lake stands clear about, glimmering a rippled sight of coldness tight nips edge the air in a slight taste of breath all seems wilted in a beatiful organic splendor as the hotness leaves in a yeilding shuffle

I've been slacking on watching the new Toonami episodes because I've already seen almost all of them, except for some at the end, in subtitles. So, no, not a ritual for me.

Yeh, the story mode is pretty boring at times, but the levels are much better done than the first, and the objectives and such are much better than the first. In the first one all you did was find the crystal, retrace your steps to where you began the level, and beat it. I've found the arcade challenges to be very entertaining. Some of them are actually quite hard. I mean who doesn't like dodging burning monkeys?

I don't like the name Notch, but I liked the name River. The story was written well, and the ending even made it better. You see, the ending made me want to understand more about River's character, which made me want to read the entire story again. And the story itself was welly done in its own right.

Emotion is a needed feeling. It works upon us our very own character, personality, our own aura about us. Without emotion we would truly not exist, at least upon a comprehensional level.

I respect all of the people upon these boards with equal like as long as they state their opinions and just be themselves. I've made quite a lot of numerous friends friends here, a few here and there-Crazy White Boy, James I suppose, Phantom, The Harlequin, Aries (seems he's been weighted down with school lately),Cera, LM,Juuthena, Mist, Noryko AngelCry, Elite, Shy Guy, Dark Apocalyps, RIco Tranzrig, Duo God of Death, Mnemolth, Adam, MathGuy2, Lady Asphyxia, Ravenstorture, and so many more I can't think of at this moment. James of course deserves much of my respect for starting these wonderful boards...but, yeh, I have respect for everyone, even if I don't like their opinions, I don't hate them (Ex. DeathKnight), nor will I ever. As long as people give me respect, I will give it back.

Just be optimistic. No matter how bad something is, there has to be something positivley gained from all of it. I feel bad for you, kev, but I know you'll get over. Just remember, optimism!

We put our dog, Bitsy to sleep, just a few months ago. I've put up a gigantic wall of apathy up, ever since she was put to sleep, so I just didn't let it affect me all that much. But it still does. Our whole family is just..different, there's the word...without her. My mom cried a lot, but I just used my apathy to escape from all of it. She even buried Bitsy, but I didn't go, to much pain there. Don't like to talk about it.

I finally got to typing this up. Sorry for the long wait, and here it is: The angel had spoke to her in a dream. It had come to her and it ad spoken. It said it spoke the word of God, and she believed. She more than believed, she knew. "You shall drink the cup of death which creates life," the angel had told her, told her in the word of God. "You shall live one more day of like. Then you shall live eternity in life." And when she had awoken to the beautiful forest which was her home, she was uncertain, unknowing, questionable, about what the angel had told her. But she knew it had been the word of God, and God would show her the path she must take, and she would take the path which he had chosen, no matter how hard. So she lived her day as regular as she could make it. She talked to her various animal friends, told them of what God had spoken to her, told them she wouldn't be here the next day. She had eaten her hearty meals of berries, nuts, mushrooms, and fruits. She did what she could do to her heart's content as day turned to afternoon; afternoon turned into evening; and finally, evening turned into darkness. As she stood by her favorite tree she had known all of her life she stared at the moon, a glare of perpetual motion. And as she stood there, the minutes creaking by as if they were eternity, a glowing aura appeared from upon the sky. It seemed to shower everything about it in a beatific glowering way. It caught her attention almost like a moth upon a light. As she stared, slowly a glowing figure appeared. Oh so slowly it appeared, its wings going out in a V fashion about its back, its hair standing briskly upon its head. She felt so many emotions at that one moment?fear, nervousness, hope, despair. But she knew she must not fear, she must not despair, must not feel tense. Because this was the path God had chosen for her, one way or another, and it was the one she was going to take and except with hope and admiration. The messenger of God slowly descended to her, a cup clamped within its holy hand. The angel reached her, and she tried to open her mouth to speak, but nothing would come out. The angel spread out its clamped hand, unclamping it, revealing the cup of her death. The angel then placed the brim of the cup upon her luscious lips, slowly tilting it, as the red fluid began to flow into her body. She then began to cough and sputter violently, and her eyes slowly closed for the very last time. Guilt and sympathy appeared upon the messenger's face. Taking back the cup, he placed it upon his very own lips, pausing, then tilting what remained of the red liquid into his mouth. The fluid flowed into him, becoming the essence of his death. And as he died anew for sacrifice of guilt, his spirit slowly floated up towards the sky. He could see far into the distance her spirit, but a dot in his view, floating to become born again anew.

Well, I'm only a Sophmore in High School, so I think love has another time to become a major part in my life. Maybe College I'll start opening up more and trying not to be so shy. I'd never get the guts to ask someone out except for one circumstance, actually, more than one--a)they ask me out, b)I know they like me, c)I'm sure our relationship would work, d)we have something in common which I have found out by speaking to them, that's about it.
Originally posted by Saiyan_monkey A lot of people are going to blame this on Bush's decision about Iraq the War on Terrorism and Howard's decision to follow him, but you can't really blame them. And they would have attacked us or someone else sometime whether we fought against terrorism or not.
Exactly my point. If terroism isn't ever going to just give in and stop forever, then why fight it? Sure I can see trying to stop it as much as you can, but going to war is just crossing the line. I really think this whole thing with Iraq is over oil. Stupid money grubbing politicians :cussing:
